Speaker 2:Welcome everyone. I'm Sophia Yvette, co-host and producer here in the studio with James Banks. James, how's it going today?
Speaker 3:Hi Sophia, I'm doing well. How are you?
Speaker 2:I'm doing well Now. Over the years you've grown a remarkable following. However, some listeners might not be familiar with your full journey. Let's take it from the top. Could you share a little background about your company and what you do?
Speaker 3:Sure thing. So Parcelpedia, we are a privately owned retail shipping company here in Frisco, Texas. I am one of the owners, me and my partner, Paul. When we first got started, we had the idea of being able to be a service in the neighborhood. That's more than just in and out You're just another customer, but it's kind of a community, family setting, somewhere where you feel comfortable and you know that the people that are there to help you are really there to help you. Paul started in 2012. I joined in 2014. And ever since it's been a great partnership. It's been a great business. I feel like we've touched a lot of different families and a lot of different communities, so it's been an awesome trip.
Speaker 2:And when you're not busy running your business, what do you do for fun?
Speaker 3:I had to spend a lot of time with my family, my wife and two kids. They're five and two, so they're real small. So we do a lot of outdoor activities playing in the yard, going to the park, even going to the grocery store becomes kind of an adventure with them, because they like to have fun and they like to run around. Yes, you can imagine at that age, on my own I do a little bit of woodworking and things of that nature in my garage, but yeah, outside of work really a lot of the time is spent with the family and any favorite family activities that you guys like to do together.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we always like to go down to the pond inside of our neighborhood and look at normally just turtles we get to see. Sometimes some birds flock in. We've tried to fish it as well, but never had any success. So not sure if there's fish in there or not. But yeah, we always go down to the water. As my son says, let's go down to the water, so we always do that, james.
Speaker 2:I know you are a very busy person. In your own words, tell our listeners why are you doing this?
Speaker 3:Doing this to help really and to be a place that anyone in the community can come to as far as getting help, as far as their shipping needs, retail needs, office supplies I mean, we have so many different things to offer our customers that we believe that as long as you walk through the door, we can probably figure out what you need to do and help you before you leave. One of the things we really strive to be is a community-led business, one where we listen to our customers and we adapt and change according to their needs and wants and don't just stay static with how we operate.
Speaker 2:Love it, James. We'll catch you in the next episode where we'll dive into some frequently asked questions. Have a fantastic rest of your day.
Speaker 3:All right, thank you, you too, sophia.
