Hey Sophia, I'm doing well. How are you?

I'm doing well also. So, James, what makes Parcelpedia different from other shipping centers or post offices in Frisco?

Speaker 3:

One of our main differences is that we offer multiple carriers from Parcelpedia. So if you go to the post office, you can do postal services. You go to UPS, you can do UPS services. Here you can do just about everybody. We have post office services, we have FedEx services. You go to UPS, you can do UPS services. Here you can do just about everybody. We have post office services, we have FedEx services, we have UPS options and we also have international DHL services. So you can come shop around all the different carriers. That way you know you get in the best rate or what exactly you need, and it just helps make a decision without you having to bounce around three to four different places.

And is it the free coffee, the friendly smiles or the fact that you don't have to wait in?

Speaker 3:

We take the time to work with them. We don't rush them through the line. There's no pressure. When you're here, you know you can take your time. If you have questions, you're more than welcome to ask. We're here to help you, not to try to push you to the back of the line or help the next guest.

Speaker 2:

So when you come here we do our best to remember you the next time we see you call you out by name because you are a friend and you're a part of the community here. Be honest, what's the weirdest thing anyone's tried to ship?

Speaker 3:

from Parcelpedia. So we have shipped a live animal before. Luckily for us it was a small reptile so it was a little bit easier to do as far as how to handle it and how to ship it. But that was definitely the strangest request I've ever had. I mean, they came right up to the counter and said, hey, can I ship this? So we went through all the protocols and got it done.

Speaker 2:

Was it a snake?

Speaker 3:

No, it was a small lizard, like a gecko type of lizard.

Speaker 2:

Okay, okay, what did you ship it?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, we shipped it. It was just to a person, I think. They were just shipping a pet to the owner, so just got them there in one piece.

Speaker 2:

So, james, how do you ensure customers receive personalized services compared to a larger shipping company?

Speaker 3:

We have a dedicated staff here, so when you come you're going to see the same faces, whether you come early in the week, late in the week, from one month to the next month. We keep our staff. They've been here for many years. I think our least 10-year staff member is looking at three years, four years, almost now. So just the same faces you'll see. So it's really easy to build up that rapport when you come with us.

And what specific amenities or services set Parcelpedia apart in the Frisco area?

Speaker 3:

I would say our ability to service all the different carriers while you're here, as well as offer a lot of different business services, kind of make it a one-stop shop, whether it's coming to printing, scanning, emailing, shipping, faxing I mean just a number of the services we offer. So instead of you having to figure out oh, I have to do this here, then go there to do this.

Speaker 2:

You can just do it all here at once. And how do you cater to small business owners who rely on your services for their operations?

Speaker 3:

So we cater to them and the idea that they are a small business, not a huge corporation. When it comes to helping out with business printing things of that nature, we can do small batches. You're not forced to print out 50,000 flyers. If you're just doing it for the first time, you know you only have 100 customers. So we help with that the nature of it. And we also have that direct contact communication. If you have a dedicated employee here helping you, it's going to be them every time. So there's no tossing around. You know people picking up the project not knowing what's going on. It's just a real good focus on the customer.

Speaker 2:

And what about for the business owners? Do you have any special packages for them or discounts that you offer them?

Speaker 3:

So we do have incentives for business owners with their mailboxes. So if they do open a mailbox with us they get a lot of the business services complimentary with that mailbox, including scanning some faxing services copies. They get a certain allotment of copies for free before they get any charges.
