I'm Sophia Yvette, co-host, slash producer, back in the studio with James Banks. James, how's it going? I'm doing well, how are you? I'm doing well. So, james, what are some unique services you offer that people might not expect?

Speaker 3:

Well, we have a lot of services, some things that we offer that I tend to hear people feedback as far as oh, I didn't know, you guys did that. We offer shredding services. So where there's personal documents, business documents, typically people got to get rid of their paper after a certain amount of time, depending on the statutes, and we offer those services. So we offer them by the pound. It's full service. You just bring your paper to us and we do everything else. We weigh it out right in front of you, so it's no question of what you're paying. And we have bulk shredding services as well, where we offer a lower rate for a larger amount of paper. It's a very great service for getting rid of that extra bulk that you don't want to just toss in the trash. Identity theft is a very real thing and all it takes is an account number or a name on a piece of paper to leave you accessible to those criminals, unfortunately, that are looking to those papers to try to steal someone's identity. So if you want to just make sure to shred, and in a eco-friendly way too, so the companies that we use they're called Texas Shred. They do everything economically and they shred it on site, here at the store, so you just have the assurance that your documents have been destroyed in the right way. So that's one of the services we offer.

Speaker 3:

Another one that's really I always get the biggest reactions when I let people know we have the service is that we offer U-Haul rentals so you may come in. Yeah, you come in and go, hey, I'm moving, I need some moving boxes. And I'm like, hey, well, are you moving local? If you are, you know we have trucks. People are so surprised. Oh, I saw the U-Haul sign but I wasn't sure what it meant. It's like well, it means we have U-Haul. So, yeah, we offer U-Haul services as well, so you can rent a truck from us. I've even done it a local place. You're probably familiar with us if you've been coming to shop with us in the past. You know you can trust us. It's an easy place to find. We're right next to one of the biggest bazaars in the city. So it's great. I like that we can offer services outside of just what we offer in the storefront so that, no matter what you think you come in just to grab some boxes and find out, you can get a truck and get it all moved at the same time. That would be pretty cool. But we also offer business services.

Speaker 3:

One of the most common services we offer are notary services, and that may not be as unexpected. But what is very cool that I have not really seen of any other place is that every single employee here on staff is a notary. So no matter what time of the day, you can just walk in and there's going to be a notary there. So I know a lot of people get frustrated. You walk in somewhere to get a notary, like, oh, the notary's out on lunch or oh, today's their off day. You know, come back tomorrow and it's like you may not have that time. You got to get things done. You know that you can get on a regular basis, but when it comes time to get it, you're like, oh man, notary, I haven't done this in who knows how long. You know where do I go? Parcelpedia you know I want people to think of us as that one-stop shop. You know you need a scan If you need a fax, if you need a copy, if you need to enlarge a document, lamination so many of those things we offer, and we're happy to even offer services that we may not have done before.

Speaker 3:

So I'll tell you a little story. I had a customer who needed a large format print and I said oh yeah, I can print up to 11 by 17. Well, I need a 24 by 36. Well, at the time I could not print a 24 by 36. But I went out and made some calls and we ended up getting a large format printer and within that week I could print up to 40 inches. That's a more extreme example, but if it's something that I can go out and do or something that I can find a way to offer, I will. So don't ever hesitate. You can always call and ask hey, do you offer this? And if I don't, I'll look and probably call you back and say, hey, come back by tomorrow and I do offer that service.

Speaker 3:

So we're always looking at different ways to help people, because that's always coming back to the same mantra that we have here. It's like we're looking to help, we want to be the neighborhood spot where you know if you come in, if you have a problem, you're going to leave with a resolution. So that's what we're here for. As far as services goes, I mean, if it's a business, whatever, you need flyers, business cards, magnets for your car, signs for your yard, banners for outdoor, banners for indoor. We can do it all. We're here to help. So those are just a few of the services, just know. You can call us, you can email us and we'll tell you everything we can do.

Speaker 2:

Wow, and what is the number one service you have that sets you apart from other shipping companies?

Speaker 3:

The number one service we have I would say our full service as far as setting up a business. So we can offer really every aspect. We can offer the address with our mailboxes. We can offer all the digital services with scanning and emailing. We can offer all your paperwork services with printing and scanning back to you and, of course, with anything that needs to be certified. Like we said, we have the notary on hand, so you can literally walk into our store and do every single step needed to open a new business, including the physical address, which is pretty hard to do at any other spot. I mean, you can just go to the post office and get a lot of them, but then you'd be stuck with the address. You can go to a office depot or Kinko's, do a lot of the paperwork, but then you'd be stuck with the address. So it's a very unique thing that you can come in here and almost no matter what you're doing, get it all done in one spot.

Speaker 2:

Wow, that's pretty cool. I was just going to ask you if you provide support for businesses like bulk shipping or customized logistics solutions.

Speaker 3:

Definitely, definitely. Yes, we love small businesses. I mean we are one ourselves so we love to branch out and help out small businesses. We always have deals going on for mass marketing If you're wanting to make flyers, business cards. We always have deals on bulk units so that for shipping we do also do bulk shipping services. So if you know you're going to have a lot of shipments coming, we'll definitely give you either a flat rate per shipment or we'll just work with you as far as a tier. You know what tier you land in for is how many ship per month, and we'll get your prices down. I mean we'll shop around and we'll make sure that we're the lowest just to help you out. And then, as far as logistics, yeah, I mean we can always set up shipping. We've set up shipping for people that we haven't even seen, I mean over the phone, business to business. We set it up. We've got the trucks to deliver with the lift gate, the pallet on the truck to the destination, dropped, signed for, perfectly done, and they weren't even in the state of Texas. So we've been able to do that.

Speaker 3:

Yes, we have many connections with freight shipping with all the carriers and even outside of them. Sometimes the carriers don't like to handle certain equipment so we use other services. We just shipped we helped the gentleman ship a large CNC which is a big commercial machine where that carves wood, metal and things like that. It's about 10 feet long, eight feet wide. It's a huge machine. You know, fedex is going to come pick that up just with a normal box truck. So we set that up on a flatbed, got it from here to Arkansas in one straight shot. So a lot of different things they come our way. We figure it out and we get it done. A lot of different things they come our way.

We figure it out and we get it done. Wow, Any secret services that make shipping with you feel like a VIP trip man.

Speaker 3:

It sounds like there definitely are Secret service. Man, that's funny. I got to start advertising that Secret service. No, we don't have anything secret. You know, no matter who you are, you have the full range of services. I don't even feel like they don't get the access to a certain service because they're not VIP. You're very important inside of Parcelpedia. That's what it stands for VIPP.

And what is the most unexpected thing, parcelpedia can ship.

Speaker 3:

Oh sure, that's easy. That's on the easy side. We do help with firearms. So a lot of people you know you think shipping a gun oh my goodness, you know I probably can't. There are of course, restrictions and of course we always follow those to the letter, but we can help you. So if you need to ship something to get repaired to a gunsmith or something's coming back or need to pick up, we can definitely help you with that. We always recommend calling ahead. That way we can just make sure, depending on what type of firearm, things of that nature. But I think a lot of people are shocked when they call and we're like, yeah, we can help you with that. They just automatically assume you're not allowed to do it. But you are, as long as you follow the guidelines oh wow, well it.
