Speaker 2:A mailbox is just a mailbox, or is it Turns out? Private mailboxes at Parcelpedia offer way more perks than your standard PO Box, from security to convenience. Let's break down why upgrading your mailbox might be the best move you can make. Welcome back everyone. I'm Sofia Yvette, co-host, slash producer. Back in the studio with James Banks. James, how's it going?
Speaker 3:Hey Sofia, I'm doing well. How are you today? I'm doing well.
Speaker 2:James. Hey, Sophia, I'm doing well. How are you today? I'm doing well, James. So what are the benefits of using a private mailbox at Purcellpedia over a standard PO box?
Speaker 3:So, yeah, there's many benefits, the first starting out with the PO box. It is that stands for post office box, and that is because you can only get them at the post office. And what a lot of people don't realize that you can only get post office mail or US mail to that box. So one of the first things that really separates our mailboxes from a PO box or a standard PO box is that we have a street address attached to your mailbox. This allows you to get mail from all the carriers. You can get mail from international carriers. You can have signatures attached. You can get things that require adult signatures. It's something where you can use to establish a business, because it is a street address and not a PO Box.
Speaker 2:So, james, what are the benefits of using a private mailbox at Parcelpedia over a standard PO Box?
Speaker 3:The benefits are that you have a lot more variety as far as options to use the box. With a mailbox at Parcelpedia, you can receive mail from all the carriers that deliver mail, versus a PO box where you're limited to just United States mail. So you have someone sending you a package from overseas through a carrier or a private carrier. You cannot do that at a PO box, but it's something that can be done here at a private mailbox. Another benefit is that it is a street address, so that also allows you to do a lot with the address you're given. You can create a business, establish a business, you can have a new permanent address, you can establish an international hub because you can receive things from across the globe versus just domestic mail at the post office box.
Speaker 2:So, james, what security and privacy advantages do private mailboxes offer over PO boxes?
Speaker 3:Well, I can't speak for all private mailboxes, but the mailboxes that we have here Parcelpedia they are always under surveillance. They are under AMRA surveillance that's recorded, 24 hours a day. We have them in a locked area. You only have access to the mailbox if we're open or if you have a key, because you're a mailbox owner and the only people who have access to the actual mail meeting in there are employees of Parcelpedia or the United States Postal Regulation.
Speaker 2:And so how does having a real street address instead of a PO box benefit customers?
Speaker 3:Oh, it benefits them in a number of ways. If you're thinking about receiving, it gives you a wide variety of options. If your sender wants to ship you something and it's just a better rate through FedEx, you can tell them well, send it FedEx versus a PO box where you do not have that option. If you're looking at shipping out, you have benefits because with the street address you can be listed as a commercial address. You can establish a business For customers. They feel a little bit more security when they see packages coming from a brick and mortar building versus a PO box. A lot of times people think people get into PO boxes for nefarious reasons, which isn't always the case. But this just shows you an established business. You know someone can walk into your building and they need menu too.
Speaker 2:I think it just shows that you have a good establishment for your business and you have a street address. Most definitely, and so can businesses use Parcelpedia's private mailbox for official business purposes. Can you elaborate more on why that's the case?
Speaker 3:So because it's a street address, it is allowed to be used for your address for your LLC, your sole proprietorship partnership, anything like that. We have a lot of out-of-state customers. When you need to show your business is in the state that you operate business out of, even though you may physically not be there, but you have employees, you know you have transactions going on in that state. To have that physical address that shows you're established in that state is huge. That way it shows you're operating in that state and your business is formed in that state as well.
Speaker 2:Are there any situations where a business can't use Parcelpedia's private mailbox for official business purposes?
Speaker 3:I think the only thing we cannot be used for is as your residential address, so I guess it wouldn't affect a business. You can't sleep here, I'm sorry. I don't have any bunk beds in the back so you can't listen to me as your residence. But business, no, I haven't seen any drawbacks. Everyone that's ever helped out with their business here has been just fine. I mean, I have a number of business customers that use this as their primary address.
Speaker 2:And so be honest, how many people sign up just because they're tired of driving to the post office and waiting in line?
Speaker 3:That's a number of my customers. We love the post office. It's a very necessary institution, it's a necessary business, it's a necessary program for our country. However, some people don't have the time to always stand in line. So, yes, some people do come here just because they need to be in and out quickly. We know them as soon as they pull up. Sometimes we already have their mail and packages ready. So they walk in and it's just in and out, a little hi, how are you? And they're about the day. Sometimes you can't afford to take an hour to send one letter. That's not always the case, but it can be. So I think we're a good alternative to people in the community that know that we can help them in the very same ways that the post office can, but just a bit quicker and sometimes a bit nicer, but just sometimes.
Speaker 2:So, James, what is the funniest story that you have associated with someone going in instead of the post office to you guys to pick up a package or something like that?
Speaker 3:Funny story funny story.
Speaker 3:Typically when I have an interaction with a customer and the post office comes up, I try to give them a fair shake, but typically there's some complaining going on. Usually I am told coming to Parsipi is like going to a cousin's place or like a family member. So they feel at home and a lot of times they spend more time here than they anticipated because we're chit-chatting. One time it was pretty funny that it came in the intention of being in and out, but they spend 30 minutes because we're talking sports, global events, who knows and they realize they're running late because they're chit-chatting. But that's probably I would say that's about it. I mean not too many interactions with customers. Tell me directly what happens with them at the post office compared to me, but I would say, coming in to be quick but end up using more time because you're so friendly with us, that's pretty funny in my eyes.
Speaker 2:That is pretty funny.
Speaker 3:And hey, that's how you know you're having a good conversation right Time flies.
Speaker 2:yeah, Love it, James. We'll catch you on the next episode. Have a fantastic rest of your day.
Speaker 3:Thank you, you too, safina.
