In House Services: Document Printing, Resume Printing, Laminating Services, Shrink Wrapping
What Are Your In-House Services?
Errands shouldn’t hijack your day. We break down how our Frisco team turns the most annoying tasks—document printing, resume printing, lamination, shrink wrap, and passport photos—into fast, affordable, done-for-you wins. From the moment you email a file, we confirm specs, check for print quality, and have your order ready at pickup. No kiosks to figure out, no time-based fees creeping up, just clean results and clear pricing.
James shares why we preflight every job to catch scaling issues before they waste your time, and how we support job seekers with five free resume sets on premium paper, plus discounted extras. We get into the nuts and bolts of lamination too, including a 500-page rush project we delivered by adding capacity and running machines in parallel. Whether it’s menus, training cards, or reference sheets, we focus on bubble-free seals, sharp alignment, and consistent edges. For sellers and organizers, our shrink wrapping keeps bundles tight and inventory organized, with bulk rates and same-day turnaround for most drop-offs before noon.
Planning a trip or renewal? We make passport photos simple and fair-priced, provide digital copies, and support multiple countries’ requirements. If you’re renewing a U.S. passport, we can print your application, take compliant photos, and ship the packet with tracking so you leave with confidence. The throughline is convenience: fewer steps for you, more done behind the scenes by a team that says yes, then executes.
If streamlined errands, clear communication, and reliable turnarounds sound like a relief, give this a listen and stop by our Frisco store. Subscribe for more practical tips, share this with a friend who hates printers, and leave a review to tell us which service saves you the most time.

Welcome to the Parcelpedia Podcast, the ultimate guide to all things shipping and business services in Frisco, Texas. From U.S. Mail and FedEx to private mailboxes and packing supplies, we've got you covered. Stay tuned for a special discount code to save on your next order. And now, delivering expert tips and insider insights with a smile, here's your host, James Banks, owner of Parcelpedia.
SPEAKER_02:Whether you're prepping for a job interview or packaging a product, Parcelpedia's in-house services have you covered. Welcome back, everyone. I'm Sophia Yvette, co-host and producer back in the studio with owner of Parcelpedia, James Banks. James, how's it going today?
SPEAKER_01:Hey, Sophia, I'm doing very well. How are you?
SPEAKER_02:I'm doing also well, James. Now, today's topic, let's get into it. In-house services, document printing, resume printing, laminating services, and shrink wrapping. Tell us about all of those.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, for sure, for sure. So obviously the title is in-house services, so just focusing on everything that we do right there in the store in Frisco. Um, and so we'll start off right with document printing, like you said. So, document printing sounds, you know, it is just what it sounds like. Uh, we help you print out documents, any documents you need, um, whether it's blueprints, you know, um closing documents, um, power of attorney, after David, whatever it is you need, your kids' homework, uh, we help you print it. And a lot of people these days they just don't have a printer anymore. It used to be back in the day, everyone had a printer at home, everyone complained about the ink prices, but we still bought it and we still print it. Uh nowadays, people just don't print. You know, most of things these days are kind of digital, you know, a lot of DocuSign, things like that. Uh, but every now and again you do have a physical document that they are asking you to print out. And so we are here to help. Um, I know most places like FedEx, Office, King Go's, Off Steples Staples, they have those same services, but they almost always charge you like a flat printing fee, which is like time-based. And like half the time, you're just trying to figure out how their systems work so you can get your document printed. It's like you hit the next tier of price, and it's like, man, I just need one paper printed now. How does it turn to$10? What's going on? Uh, so we try to make it easy, affordable, and just super convenient for you to print your documents. Um, so I'll just kind of go through some of the different ways we do that, um, how we offer it and what all we offer. So um, one of the ways, one of the ways we definitely recommend as far as document printing is to send it to us via email. Send us an email, say, hey, I need this printed. You know, let us know black and white is fine, or I need color, I need double-sided, I need X amount, blah, blah, blah. Uh, I need on this paper, you know, card stock, um, resume paper, um a color paper, like I need it on red. Uh, whatever you need, you know, if we can offer it, we'll definitely do that for you. And by sending it via email, it allows us to gauge the job, tell you how long it'll take, and that way when you come by, it's ready. You just pay, pick it up, and you're done. Um, so we take out all the hassle out of it. You know, you're not sitting there waiting for a printer, you're not clearing paper jams, you're not running to get more paper, you know, this, that, and the other, or sizing documents. We take care of that for you. So um another great service that we offer is we will let you know before we print if it's gonna actually like look the way you want it to. So sometimes people send a document and they don't realize you're like, hey, I need this printed on eight and a half by 11. But they send an image or like a PDF, and for whatever reason, it's sized down, it's like a four by six. And so we blow it up, we do a test print, and it's just it's just blur. You know, you can't even see anything, you can't read anything. And so we tell you that, hey, you know, unfortunately, this is not gonna work for scaling purposes. If you have another file, please let us know. And so a lot of times, a lot of times out of 10, people are like, oh, I'm so sorry, I sent you the wrong file. And then they fix it and then they correct it, and then we we get it printed. And it just helps save so much time because imagine getting all the way up to the store, getting your car, driving, getting there, and you got the thumb drive and you have the wrong file, and now you gotta go back home and rinse and repeat, right? So this just helps uh mitigate a lot of just waste, right? And it helps give you what you're asking for and getting you exactly what you need. Um, and um with that, with the document printing, um, I know one of the things you said, Sophie, was resume printing. And so I definitely want to highlight that because it's something we do that's part of our just philosophy of just being we're in the community, so we should be giving back to the community, and we should be a um, you know, a hub in the community that people know they can come for help. And so part of that is with resume printing, we always will offer you the first five sets um for free. So, you know, you're out there, we know we understand the economy is tough, you're trying to work. I mean, that's noble, you know, it's not like you're just coming in, hey, you guys got some money for me? You know, you're like, hey, I need to print a resume because you know I'm trying to get a job. That's awesome. We and we're trying to help as much as we can. And we know obviously if you're looking for a job, there's a good chance that your money's, you know, your budget's a little bit tighter than it may normally be. Um, so if that helps you um to get five sets of resumes for free and where you know, like, man, you know, I really don't have money to pay for printouts right now. Come to Parcel Pedia, call us up, you know, send your resume to us via email. Um, and we'll we'll definitely help you with that. We'll print this first five sets. Now, the reason we cap as five is just because sometimes we will have dope, you know, multiple page resumes, and we want to help as many people as we can. So if we give out too many for you, then I can't I gotta make a cutoff at some point. So five is a number. If you need more than that, obviously we'll charge you for the extra. Um, but we'll also do reduced pricing on the extra sets for you just to try to really make it as as reasonable as we can. Um, and so with the document printing, you know, we do offer multiple sizes. So really anything under 11 by 17 but up to, we can print. So 11 by 17 is the largest size of paper that I can physically print in store. Um, and so of course, because of that, anything under that I can also do. Um, color, black and white, double-sided, different types of paper. Again, I think I spoke about the resume paper, the card stock, different color paper. We have all that, and we're definitely here, I'll offer all that to you. Um, so that was just that's just document printing. Um, moving on, we have laminating services. Um, this is one that I've always kind of maintained this level of kind of not shock, but just surprise of how often I am running my laminating machine. Like that and faxing are one of those things where it's just like you'd think they're kind of old, antiquated things, but no. People need paper and plastic and they need stuff faxed. And we do it every day, all day. Just this week, actually, I did a 500-page lamination order for a big company, yes. And yeah, they called around, like everyone is just, you know, they got this job last minute, they need it for this conference. Everywhere I've called around, they cannot do it in time. Can y'all do it? And I was like, oh man, 500, because that's a lot of pages running. You know, I don't know if for the viewers, for anyone out there who's never used a laminator machine, I'll just give you a real brief um example or display of how it works. So you get your sheet, you put it in your laminated plastic um cover, that goes into another sleeve to kind of protect it from the heat and the roller, and then you put it inside a machine that rolls it, heats it to seal it, and then you know, spits it on the other side. And the speed is about this fast. Yes. So, yeah, imagine that you know, times 500, right? Um, so when she gave me the job, you know, the first thing I'm thinking is I have to find a way to say yes because I want to make her happy. I want to show her that we can go above and beyond. And you know, I want to be the one that that can do it. You know, you call several places, they can't do it. Parcelpedia has to be the one that can do it. Um, so I went out and got another laminator. I was like, I gotta make double time on this thing. So we went out, we got two laminating machines, and we knocked it out. And she was happy. They were beautiful, pristine, double-sided cardstock. I mean, they were really nice laminated. And it's so funny because um, if you think about a ream of paper, that's 500 sheets of paper. And if you've ever seen a ream of paper, they're about this thick, like an inch and a half. After we got done with the laminating, you know, they get thicker and thicker, these 500 sheets were like about this tall. Yeah, we had to put it in a box, it was like 20 pounds. Yes, it was. I mean, it turned into a whole thing, which was really cool. Um, it was one of the bigger jobs as far as laminating goes that we've ever done. And so it was it was cool. We knocked it out in about two days. So she got it in time, perfectly in time, um, and everything worked out. So, you know, those are little things that you may not even assume we can do, but we can do. So don't ever, you know, be afraid to ask if we can do something because has she just thought, oh parspeed, they're kind of small, a little small business, they probably can't do it. Office depot can't do it, if stables can't do it, they can't. And as she never called us, she may not have got that job done. So I'm glad that she reached out. I'm glad that we were able to help her and knocked it out. Um, and but the laminating, um, just to kind of touch back on that, that does work very similar to my printing. Um, laminating is a little bit smaller, eight and a half by eleven, like a standard sheet of paper, is as large as I can do. Um, but I can always do anything smaller. So if you want wallet size, you want half sheet, you know, little strips of paper for whatever reason, we can do that too. Uh we can do shapes. I mean, anything really you need, if it's within that size, um, I can I can make it and I can do it for you. Um, I think one of the things you mentioned, Sophia, was shrink wrapping. Uh, that's another one of the services where it's like people, you know, they may ask and then we tell them yes, like, oh, you know, I wasn't expecting a yes, but okay, cool, I'm gonna get my stuff. And so we offer it for small and large items. We offer really great pricing. We include book discounts. So if you have like a big, you know, a big set of things, and I have like 50 things I need to get shrink wrapped, we'll offer you a you know a good book rate that way, you're not paying like per item. Um, and it's very quickly done. I like to kind of brag my guys, they're really good with the shrink wrap. And so we knock out almost all jobs same day, especially if you get it to me before noon. We'll get it back to you before we close. Um, so people obviously love that. A lot of times they use it for like storage purposes or just pre-packing, you know, like, hey, I need a shrink wrap, they're gonna get bubble wrap, I need to shrink wrap them all first, and I don't have shrink wrap, I don't know what I'm doing, you know. Can y'all do it for us? Like, yeah, sure, no problem. Um, and people have always said, like, oh man, that's that's good price. So that's how I I believe and I know our pricing is very good and affordable. Um, and one of the things that we didn't mention in the in the beginning of this uh call that I did want to kind of bring attention to that we do in-house is that we do and we offer passport photos. So that's another thing, you know, people go around looking for seeing who can do it, and typically they're kind of turned off from the pricing. I think most convenience stores like Walgreens CBS, um, they charge like upwards of$20 for just a couple of passport photos. And then if you don't know, if you're not sure, if you've never had a passport, a passport photo is two inches by two inches. It is one of the smallest photos you can take. So I do not know where they get off charging that much money. I mean, to me, that's ridiculous because you're just taking a photo, you're making sure it fits all the you know the requirements, and then you hit print. The they're not doing anything, you know, they're not they're not back there in the in the what do you call it, the dark room with the red lights, you know, processing the photos. They're not doing any of that stuff, they're just hitting the button on the machine. So come to Parsepedia, we're like half price for most of those places.$9.99 for the first two. We offer digital soft copies if you need. We can print multiples at an even greater discounted rate, and we can offer passport photos for multiple countries. Most places you go say, Oh, we can do US only, sorry. And it's like, well, I need my passport. I, you know, I'm from Canada. I need my passport for a Canadian size. Can you do that? Nope. Parsip PD, we can. You know, name the country. We'll we'll do it because we just have to follow the guidelines. You know, it's not it's not hard. We we make it work. So, passport photos. I just want to bring attention to that, you know, especially uh people wanting to travel. You may be looking at passport, like, oh man, six months left. That's not good. I need to renew, you know, and we can help with the renewal, especially US passport, we can help with that renewal too. Because what you need for US passport renewal is your passport, the application, the passport photo, and a payment. And we can't help you with the payment, you gotta come with that with yourself. But the other three we can do. We can print your application for you, we can take those photos, print them the same day, and we can get your mailing for you. So you literally have it all, do it all in one shop, send it off, and you're good. You have your tracking number, you know your payment's done, and you could keep your digital copy or your photo so you know that your photo's good. So we just try to, again, you know, we're always looking for ways to streamline things or just make things easy. We think of a project and say, what is the most annoying parts of this project? And then we take that and we and we leave the easy part for you. So we just, you know, are always continuing trying to do that and and expanding our in-house services to offer more and more ways uh to help customers. And Sophia, I'm very curious if there's anything that you think um, as far as like you know, little stuff you have to do, Aaron type of things that it just really drive you nuts. You're not you're not a fan of doing. I'm curious, what are what are some things like that?
SPEAKER_02:Um, well, I know for today we're almost out of time, but I would say laminating is definitely one of the things.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, yes. Yeah, no one, it's boring, it gets hot too. Those machines get hot, they they throw out a lot of heat. But yeah, we'll take it, we'll sweat for you. It's no big deal. We'll we'll nominate for you and we'll get it to you back the same day. So yeah, I'm I'm happy you said laminated because we do that obviously a lot and we do uh I like to say good job. The guys at the store are always working really hard. And yeah, I mean, in-house services, we're always growing. So if we offer it, we're never gonna take it off the table. We're just gonna add more to the menu.
SPEAKER_02:So wow, James, it really is a one-stop shop. They're a parcel PDM, huh?
SPEAKER_01:Yes, man, that's what we're aiming for. We're doing driver licenses next. No, no, I'm just joking. Okay, let me just joking, just joking. Don't want to step on the toes of the government.
unknown:Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01:Don't want uh Texas dot coming after me. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Well, great to hear how these services make life easier for your customers, and I'll see you next time.
SPEAKER_01:All right, thanks, Sophia.
