Norman Jorgensen - Adventuring on the page

Master storyteller Norman Jorgensen crafts tales about small heroes, smugglers, Vikings, pirates and Anzacs for young readers. Norman fell in love with books at an early age and has spent nearly all his life working in the book trade surrounded by the works of authors and illustrators he admires. He developed a love of history from reading historical novels, as well as from watching old Hollywood movies, and these influences are often reflected in his own work. 

In this episode of Not the Plot, Norman chats with host Teena Raffa-Mulligan about why he writes adventure stories for young readers, shares his thoughts on censorship and insights into his creative process.
