75 | Why Some People Love Jesus Deeply… And Others Don’t (Luke 7)
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
One of the greatest dangers in the Christian life is becoming familiar with Jesus… without remaining amazed by Him.
You can hear sermons every week.
Sing the songs.
Know the doctrines.
Stay religious.
And slowly lose your wonder at grace.
In Luke 7, Jesus walks into a dinner where two sinners sit in the same room:
a respected Pharisee…and a broken woman known publicly for her sin.
One is composed, controlled, and convinced he belongs near Jesus.
The other comes weeping at His feet, holding nothing back.
And by the end of the meal, Jesus reveals something that turns the room upside down:
The people who love Him most…are not the ones who think they need Him least.
They are the ones who know how much they’ve been forgiven.
In this episode, we'll discuss:
✅ Why familiarity with Jesus can quietly produce spiritual coldness
✅ The difference between visible sin and invisible pride
✅ What the sinful woman’s tears actually reveal about grace
✅ Why self-righteousness is harder to recognize than outward rebellion
✅ The meaning of Jesus’ parable of the two debtors
✅ How your love for Christ reveals what you believe about your forgiveness
This episode is for:
- The person ashamed of their past
- The believer who has grown spiritually cold
- The churchgoer who knows the language of faith but has lost wonder
- And anyone who needs to remember what grace really costs
Because forgiven people love Jesus differently.
