Harnessing Lunar Energy for Manifestation and Protection
The moon's magnetic pull doesn't just control our oceans—it fundamentally shapes our energy, emotions, and manifestation abilities. Across ancient cultures from Native American traditions to witchcraft practices, humans have recognized this celestial connection and developed practices to harness lunar power.
We dive deep into why full moons create such dramatic effects on our emotional states and behavior. Healthcare workers consistently report increased chaos during full moons, and there's a fascinating scientific explanation: our bodies, composed primarily of water, respond to the same gravitational forces that control the tides. This connection explains why we might feel emotionally heightened, experience intense dreams, or find ourselves mysteriously drawn to release what no longer serves us during these powerful lunar phases.
Creating moon water offers one of the simplest yet most profound ways to work with lunar energy. By placing water outside during a full moon, you can capture its cleansing vibration for use in protection rituals, energy clearing, or even internal purification when consumed. We share our personal experiences with moon water and explore how different zodiac influences create unique lunar energy signatures—from the emotional depth of Cancer moons to the transformative intensity of Scorpio moons.
Protection methods vary widely based on personal resonance. Whether you're drawn to crystals like black tourmaline and selenite, spiritual tools like holy water, or simple energetic practices like visualization, we explore how to find what genuinely works for you. Our spaces—especially frequently traveled ones like cars—benefit tremendously from regular energetic cleansing, and we offer practical techniques for maintaining energetic hygiene in an increasingly chaotic world.
This episode bridges ancient wisdom with practical modern application, providing a roadmap for working with lunar cycles to enhance manifestation, release stagnant energy, and protect your energetic field. What full moon rituals resonate with you? We'd love to hear your experiences with lunar energy!

Speaker 3:Welcome back, hey everybody. We are already to episode 15. Like, can we take a moment to be like whoa?
Speaker 2:I know, has it really been 15 episodes already? It feels like we just started this yesterday.
Speaker 3:When we started brainstorming back in October and we're like I remember being like, hey, you wanna? And then it was like we're going to do two a month and we ended up being like we got messages that were like we don't want to wait two weeks. We were like, okay, we're going to do it every week. And here we are, episode 15.
Speaker 2:It's wild, it's wild and wild ride 15.
Speaker 3:It's wild. It's wild and exciting Wild ride. We're having so much fun and today we're going to talk about the moon manifesting how those things come together and, yeah, just kind of our take on how the moon influences everything.
Speaker 2:Oh my gosh, it does. Animals, people, the earth. It is a huge factor.
Speaker 3:When you're talking about energy, yeah, and you know I always go back to I feel like every episode I'm bringing up Native American culture because we're supposed to be getting back to more of that culture but they truly based their calendar, their way of life. They're hunting, they're gathering what abundance that the earth could provide off of what the moon was doing. You know they have all those names for the super moons and the wolf moon and the blue moon and the. You know all these different names for the moons that are really rooted in Native American culture because they really did. I mean they could hunt at night for game and things like that, or fish with the full moonlight. So it extended like the moon provided abundance.
Speaker 2:Oh, absolutely, and you see that a lot in witchcraft as well, where a lot of practices are done during different cycles of the moon, whether it's a full moon or it's a crescent moon. Different cycles of the moon mean different things when you're dealing with paganistic culture as well, mean different things when you're dealing with paganistic culture as well. So you have this crossing with the moon through. Different cultural identities across the world, like humans, are just drawn to the moon and the vibrational frequency that it has. It's just an innate thing. And you have Mayan calendars based off of the stars and the moon. There's just so many different cultures who've utilized it for different purposes.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and I've always been drawn to the moon, I mean I will still go out. I mean, just that last snowy day that we had here in Ohio, it was a full moon and I just it was freezing cold, I think it was like 10 degrees out and me and the kids were just out there staring at the moon. It's like I'm in awe, it's like no matter what, I just I love the moon vibe.
Speaker 3:I love it and sometimes, sometimes the moon hits you in a different way. You know, when we talk in terms of full moon, I think of full moon as letting go. It's a time of releasing. I do a lot of like group ceremonies and group healing events, where I'm taking that full moon energy and we're using that to set intentions of purging and letting go of stagnant energy or people, places, situations, pain, trauma, whatever it is that we need to let go of, and a full moon can help facilitate that.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and you know I've used the full moon in that way also, with the letting go. But I use it a lot as a cleansing practice and I'll make my moon water and I'll put it outside. And moon water is very easy to make, guys. You literally put it in I prefer glass, but you put it in a glass jar, fill it up with water, put it outside in the full moon and then you drink it the next day and it's supposed to cleanse you energetically and I always feel better after I drink moon water because it's getting inside my body in a way that other chemicals or elements cannot. So it's definitely a cleansing of my aura field and standing in the moonlight Like I am the weird neighbor who will lay on the grass in the moon it's nice to. I'll just lay down and just lay in the moon, and if you've never done that, you should, because it has a really gentle cleansing quality about it. I love full moons and we're lucky they happen once a month, so yeah, and crystals.
Speaker 3:you know a lot of people. You can put your crystals out to be charged and I always tell people I have so many crystals. I mean, hello, I own a crystal shop. It's to the point where I just can't. I can't drag all my crystals to the windowsill or outside because I'd spend. I'd have to start prepping the week before with the amount of crystals that are in my house. I set intentions that that moon energy is going to do what it needs to do, because it can hit me even in my house. That moon energy is is radiating Moon water. We love moon water. I feel the same way. It's like you can literally feel it when you drink it within the body. But yeah, and it is a cleansing process. You know that purge, no matter what, is cleansing. It's like your body letting go, it's like a filtering of the body.
Speaker 2:And it can be like an emotional let go too, Like if you're trying to let go of, you know, trauma or a person. Full moons are really powerful. You could do ceremonial magic with that or you could simply just speak it out loud, because words are always magic. But yeah, that letting go is very interesting. I always laugh because.
Speaker 2:So my daughter is a nurse and whenever she she'll get on my Facebook page sometimes and then I'll get a message and be like oh shit, I didn't know it was a full moon today I work and any healthcare listeners out there I think can resonate with that oh shit moment, Because she tells me, every full moon the crazies come out and there is something to that and it does activate and charge people in a way where their behavior can be a little wild. So she sees a lot of it during health care, where there's like chaotic type of influx of energy into the health care system, whether it's mental health or there's physical health problems. People just act a little bit beside themselves sometimes during full moon and I've always been fascinated by that, because you see animals howling at the moon and if you're not funneling that energy in a positive way, I think it can really just kind of overtake you and push you to do things that maybe you wouldn't normally do. Yeah.
Speaker 3:Well, and I feel like it makes sense because we are made mostly of water. Think about what the moon does to the tide, to the water, to our oceans, these massive bodies of water. It can make a massive ocean go out and come in that that magnetic pull, and that's what's happening with people. The full moons are typically very emotionally charged for people because, whether you are intentionally trying to let something go, that is still pulling and initiating something within you and you are either resisting it, which is when people are going cray cray, or you're leaning in and being very like, oh, you have an awareness of it and you're like, okay, I'm a part of this, I'm going to be a part of the purge. Exactly that's why it makes sense to me, because I mean the moon and the water. It's that divine, feminine. So the moon is feminine energy, it's divine feminine.
Speaker 3:The sun is divine, masculine, and so, um, and when I think of water, water is that fluidity and that, that beautiful flow which is feminine energy, and so they work so well together, and that that's what's happening with people. It's our bodies. The water within our body is literally there's a, there's a pull, there's a pulse with it. I've had full moons that are like yes, I'm all in and I'm so present. And then I have other ones where I'm like I just just like your daughter had said like okay, I didn't even realize it was a full moon, cause maybe I'm busy and I didn't pay attention, although I'm usually paying attention. But I'll be like why am I such an emotional mess? And it's like, okay, well, cause I'm not being a part of what's needing to happen in this moon phase.
Speaker 2:Exactly. And like I used to hate full moons and I'm going to be very honest Like when I was going through the first portion of my healing journey, I would get so irritated with them because I would always end up having people I didn't want to see show up in my life some way, either through a phone call or on Facebook, or I'd run into them somewhere and I'd be like I'm so sick of this shit, like I'm so tired of seeing these fucking people. I don't even want to see them anymore. But what I was doing was I was running away from an issue and I wasn't facing the trauma I had with these people head on.
Speaker 2:So this new moon or not new moon, excuse me this full moon energy that was coming would literally place these people in my path, in my face, and be like okay, are you going to deal with it this next cycle? Are you going to deal with it? And once I started dealing with it, that stopped happening. But I used to despise them because I just wasn't ready to do certain healing. And I remember calling you a few times and be like you're not going to freaking, believe this. I'm so fucking sick of this. When is this going to stop and you'd be like, well, melanie, if you just face your problems and be like shut up.
Speaker 3:Laura, oh wait, I called you. I'm sorry.
Speaker 2:But the moon will do that. It will definitely place your trauma in your face if you're not dealing with it, cause that's part of the cycle of letting go.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and I feel like like the full moon. I don't know if you feel this way, but I feel like it can really like ramp up whatever emotional state you're in. So you know cause we kind of ebb and flow with our emotional state. If we're in this really good place, I don't think you feel it as much, but I think if you're in a really chaotic place or you're super, super emotional, then a full moon is going to feel even more emotional, and then you factor in what are you running from, and then it's like a, like a bonfire.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it is of really intense emotional purging or realization that comes up during that time period. If you're really open to it, it can be really healing.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it kind of can be incredibly healing or it can be incredibly chaotic and you do full moon Reiki, isn't it under the bubble?
Speaker 2:Yeah, so.
Speaker 3:I'll do it outside or I'll do it at the shop, but I'll do full moon and new moon, uh, whenever I feel called to, the spirit kind of tells me that. But, um, I'll do a full moon night and I love I have this bubble tent, um, it's super cool and I, I love it and I can fit like six, seven people including me in it, and so I'll have a night where we come and we're literally under the full moon and I'm raking everybody and we're talking about, um, whatever so sort of the vibe is, depending on the Zodiac sign, that that that's influencing the moon, um, but yeah, and it's incredibly healing and I actually harness that energy. With the energy, the healing energy that's already coming A lot of times, I'm kind of putting one hand up and really I feel like I'm almost siphoning off that energy and I can feel it. You know, I can feel that flowing in, um, and I love doing them, if I, I just need more time. I need more time. Listen, I'm in four hours in the day.
Speaker 3:I'm in Uber. My kids are on phase of life so I don't always have the time to do them, but I I thoroughly enjoy.
Speaker 2:Yeah, reiki during a full moon is so different because the energy is really heightened and you know Reiki energy you're funneling it from the earth and from source, so I do feel like the veil is also thinner during full moons. Yes, so a lot of people experience more paranormal activity during full moon cycles and zodiac definitely influences that. Um, especially times of year if you have oh gosh, I remember the one year we had a full moon on halloween. I thought it was going to pee my pants. I had like the biggest like celebration for that, because Melanie's like favorite holiday is Halloween.
Speaker 2:It is, and it's also considered the new year in Celtic tradition, like that is the new year. So it was like a new year Halloween full moon celebration and the energy was just so heightened. I loved it. And I especially love when it like rains or snows on a full moon, because I'll collect the water and then I use that water for protection or cleansing methods, depending on what the vibration of the moon is and what zodiac sign it is under. So if you have like a gemini moon versus a cancer moon, they're very different intentions and frequency of the moon, because I've hated some full moons. I really have where I'm like no, this isn't going to resonate.
Speaker 3:Yeah, where what? Because you know, if you do birth charts which, um, I talk about a lot the pattern app is my go-to. You guys, everybody needs to stop what you're doing and download the pattern app right now. You put in where you were born, the time you were born. It gives you your birth chart and it's going to tell you.
Speaker 3:A lot of people resonate with their sun sign. But your sun sign is what people see you as and it's definitely a part of who you are. But your moon sign is who you are to your core. It's like what you are within. It's that soul connection, and so that has a really big influence as well on how you're going to relate to the full moon. So we've got zodiac signs. So if the full moon is in Capricorn or, let's say, full moon in Cancer, okay, let's go real emotional. The zodiac sign which is like, that's like your sun sign. Typically they have traits and those traits will influence the moon and what it means is the moon is in that constellation in the sky.
Speaker 3:Another really cool app to download Sky Guide. I live in the middle of nowhere with zero light pollution, so I am, like, very familiar with the night sky. Like me and my kids, my husband, we sit out and we just like lay under the stars. But this will allow you to kind of look up. It'll show you where the moon is in the sky. It'll show you different planets and things like that, but where the moon is.
Speaker 3:So if the moon's in Cancer, it is actually in that place in the sky. That's what that means and that sign is influencing it. So a full moon in Cancer, for example, is going to be super emotional. Cancer is a feely, feel, um, deeply feeling sign, incredibly feeling. So, um, that, versus like a Scorpio full moon, um, or a Gemini full moon is going to be a lot spicier, though those are spicier. And when I say spicier, meaning um, those are spicier. When I say spicier, meaning um, how intense it's, it's more of an intense full moon. Yes, you know, cancer is going to bring in these loving, emotional, very emotional vibes, and a Scorpio or a Gemini full moon can also be emotional, but it's going to be with a different intensity. Cancer is a much softer.
Speaker 3:Yes, aquarius, yes, aquarius, cancer there they're more of like this calm energy. Um, scorpio is going to be very intense. Gemini, I think of that as like an intent, more intense sign. Um, leo, a Leo full moon is going to be like a ta-da, like what are we going to show everybody? You know it's more of a choice. So there, you know, each full moon is going to be like a ta-da, like what are we going to show everybody? You know it's more of a choice. So they're, you know each full moon is going to bring something to the table yeah, it's like personalities and it's so interesting because it does really impact and influence.
Speaker 2:You can see it in animals. Yeah, they do react differently during full moon cycles absolutely. Um. The eclipse last year was really interesting and powerful so powerful it was. Like eclipses are. They carry a very different type of energy with them and eclipses are usually more geared towards changes or shifts happening shadow versus light side, like your shadow side and facing that part of yourself. So eclipses can be extremely impactful on where your life goes. I met Ben and I started really talking and dating around eclipse season, which was crazy.
Speaker 3:So we have tons of eclipse, like we had this mega, massive, like once in a lifetime eclipse. But each year we have multiple annular lunar, solar eclipses and they all bring unique energy. The one that we experienced here in Ohio last year, we were in like a hundred percent, like we could view. That was the most spiritually moving moment. Like I stood in my yard and with this quiet it was so weird, like the birds went quiet, every everything was quiet. The energy was so intense and I was just again crying, just so emotional. But you know you have lunar eclipse, you have a solar eclipse and they are transformative. When an eclipse is a time to transform your life, like you can use that energy to really manifest and change your life. And as we're talking about a moon and eclipse, you know we're talking about manifesting as well. And what does that mean? What does it mean to manifest? You're setting intentions for what you want and you're putting it out there and you can use that moon or eclipse energy to really powerfully manifest the things that you want.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and the thing with manifesting is you can't worry about how you're going to get there. You tell the universe what it is you need and they just get you there. You tell the universe what it is you need and they just get you there. You're obviously an active participant, because once you have that manifestation down, if you go against your best interest then obviously it's not going to work.
Speaker 3:But if you're doing, what you can to get there. Universe is going to get you there and believing and seeing and knowing and what you're asking for, and it's it's not asking either. It's saying this is what you're asking for and and it's it's not asking either. It's saying this is what is going to happen. Please help me get there. And then, letting go of control, um, and the things that are meant for you are going to are going to happen, but that's a it's a wonderful time to use those things. Um, I, when manifesting, I use full moons to manifest the things that aren't working, that I need to find the courage or the strength or energy to walk away from, let go of change within my life, whether that's physically, emotionally or people. And then new moons are. At times, I'm manifesting what's to come. So new moons are new beginnings and again, that transformation, very similar to an eclipse, where it's like, okay, I can start over, like let's, let's think about what's next.
Speaker 2:Mm.
Speaker 3:hmm, you know I was using goal setting, yeah, goal setting, manifesting you can manifest during a full moon. It's different how you're manifesting. It's more like what do I need to let go of? I'm manifesting that. And a new moon is like I'm going to manifest, reaching my goals. What does that look like? I'm going to come up with a plan. And reaching my goals how you know what does that look like? I'm going to come up with a plan, because, really, what a beautiful thing. Every month we get a fresh start, energetically with the moon. You get to say, okay, what did I learn during this last month? What do I want to take with me? What do I want to leave? And then, where am I going? And that's what the moon cycles are about.
Speaker 2:Okay, yeah, pretty much in a nutshell. I mean, that's what they're used for. I've never really used like a crescent moon for anything like that with manifesting, but I've used it in other magical practices, but it's mainly new moon and full moon when you're talking about cleansing manifestation purposes, things like that.
Speaker 3:Well, and I was, there's waxing and waning. You know, I've thought of that like the waning has meaning in the waxing meaning like it's getting bigger or it's getting smaller. Those things have its own meaning as well that you can use. Again, it's you take what resonates with you. Some people really connect to a new moon and some people really connect to full moon and some people are just all about the moon, like I feel like we are. But there are people that resonate and I always tell people you take what you need from like everything that we talk about on here. You just take what resonates and some people really are pulled to those full moons.
Speaker 3:But those, even the eclipses eclipses are something that occur throughout the year within the moon cycle, so in the sun. So you look those up in these apps that I just told you about. They let you know all of that. But, yeah, manifesting is really. You know, you can write down, you can write it, you can say it, speak it. I'm a big writer, I mean I'm a writer anyways, but I have thousands of notebooks all over the place with no rhyme or reason to them. I can never find and I'll just like pick up a notebook and it'll have something like right now I have one right here.
Speaker 3:I don't even know what's in this. I bet I got something written in here somewhere about what I want to do and that's all I do. I just write little things like, okay, I want to write a book or I want to own a shop, like I had a little note that was like I want to own a shop with blah, blah, blah, and now I have a shop. Yeah, there's just me with thousands of notebooks with itty bitty snippets in it and I'm just kind of putting it out there Full moons. You can write it and burn it. I've done ceremonies like that, where we write what we want to purge and then, ceremonial, we burn it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, burning's like definitely a good source for release. Yes, when you're burning pictures or you're burning things you've written down or you know other things.
Speaker 3:Women have known what they're doing throughout their whole lives Burning shit Like breakups.
Speaker 2:Burn his face off, burning it. So funny. I sage myself during full moons too. Yeah, like I always help the moon, I'm like saging or Palo Santo-ing. Sometimes I'll take salt baths, like those are very cleansing during that time period as well, and, like with the manifestation process, I always have like some sort of ritual going. For me that works is like I'll either do a salt bath or I'll sage myself and then I'll write down things that I want or need, and sometimes I sit out in the moon, like if it's not raining or like negative 20, and then we'll just like read them and say, like those are my intentions going forward, my always cleanse my crystals and sometimes I like will, if I'm outside and I'm able to, I'll lay in the grass and sometimes I'll lay with like selenite in the grass and the moon because it just draws and pulls in that energy more.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and I, I just forgot what I was going to say. I just had some weird energy come floating in. Sorry about that, that was so weird. I swear somebody just blew through this room.
Speaker 2:Yeah, sometimes when we get on these topics, we have visitors. They just pop in.
Speaker 3:I remember I was going to say now my house. I use the full moon as a reminder. I got to cleanse my house, so I will, palo Santo, sage my house, I will open the windows. I don't care if it's 20 degrees out, all the windows are getting opened. I sage I'm pushing energy out. Opened, I sage I'm pushing energy out. It's a good way to like keep up with spiritual practices and protection and that kind of stuff too.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's a good reminder. It's a good, it's a good reminder button every month to do something. But yeah, I, yeah, I do love rituals and things of that nature and you can also use full moon energy if you want to utilize so for protection method wise, with full moons, if it's raining, there's a lot of times I'll stick out a bowl and I'll collect the water because that full moon energy is very protective and I'll use that in sprays or a combination of other herbs and crystals as a sage spray for a house or for myself, because that full moon water will help cleanse anything. That's just what the moon does. So it becomes like this really cool cleansing agent so you can collect if it's snowing or raining. You can collect that water because it carries that vibrational frequency of the full moon and you can use it to create a spray to cleanse a space.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and you collect water from all kinds of stuff locations, waterfalls, snow. I have bottles of water everywhere, like if we are somewhere, melanie is going to take water.
Speaker 2:I can't help it. I can't help it.
Speaker 3:I need the water.
Speaker 2:Give me a bottle, give me an empty bottle and I'll start like collecting it well, and I feel like that's a really good segue to talk about protection.
Speaker 3:Oh yeah, and how, how do we protect? And it's like we need to not just protect ourselves energetically, but we need to protect our spaces that we live and work, and our cars and our cars, to me, are the most energetically dirty places. Oh my gosh. Yes, because you're constantly going out somewhere and then you're coming back in and you're around a lot of energy and if you're not protecting, it's just like your car's all jostled up. And I never, ever, thought about it until my son was like, I want to say like five years old and, um, you know, I learned a lot of things from him. He doesn't even know that he knows like this stuff, and now he's a teenager, so he's like getting away from it a bit, um. But he got in the car and he was like mom, have you saged the car, mind you. And he was like mom, have you saged the car? Mind you, I had never saged my car, like my kids had watched me sage the house, sage us, we've raked, but I had never done that in my car. And he goes.
Speaker 3:The energy is so icky in here, you have to sage the car and ever since I've been doing that and now I make a spray like that I sell here at the shop and it's a smudge spray. It's got Palo Santo sage salt crystals, all this stuff. I rake it with intentions, I have it in my car and every single time I get in the car and before I get out of the car I spray that everywhere, so I don't have to like burn something just and I take that everywhere. I take it with me when I fly. You know you can make your own that kind of stuff. And I also never travel or go anywhere without crystals. I have crystals in my car, um black tourmaline, black onyx, black kyanite Right now I'm sitting here with a black kyanite blade just while we're talking and recording um selenite, because selenite cleanses energy. So you know those darker stones are for protection. But I mean half of my poundage, of my carry-on or my luggage is crystals.
Speaker 2:So yeah, and it's like I use. I use crystals the same way and you can. You can actually use them to grid your house too. I had to do that at my old house because I was the energy there wasn't always the best. So you know, I'd use crystals to grid the yard, I'd cleanse like with sage or palo santo, and then I'd walk around the perimeter of my house and I would put crystals in the four corners to grid my space with an intention to protect it from anything negative coming in, um above doorways too, which you know selenite or black tourmaline above a doorway, because it just will sweep everything in and out.
Speaker 2:So if you have people coming in and out of your home, you know they bring their junk with them so they can clog up a space. So you can use crystals for that. But there's like multiple ways to protect yourself and if you're not a big crystal person, which some people aren't, they just don't believe in them. That's okay. You have to find something that you believe in, cause if you don't believe in it it's not going to work and it just won't. You know, in witchcraft they use a lot of iron as a repellent to negativity, or black salt.
Speaker 3:And in your protection method. You have to evolve with it. Yes, no, it changes. Like even in a session, I used to wash my hands between sessions or just wash my, like my run my hands underwater to disconnect from the energy and protection, and I still need water sometimes, but I it all depends on what's working for you. Um, I do have crystals buried in the yard. I grid that. They're buried in the four corners of my yard and about three times a year I buy five sage bundles and I go out and I walk my entire perimeter with sage and we burn it and then whatever's left I put in a fire. Yeah, fire pit in the house. Every windowsill has a has selenite. But, yeah, yeah, crystals don't work for you.
Speaker 3:You have to figure out what works and if what used to work doesn't resonate with you anymore, you've got to keep changing that up. Over time I've had to add things to my property or do different things. Salt I started using really because of you. I had never done that before. There's been several instances where I've needed to use salt from my property. That was new. Water can be extremely protective and cleansing. I know for you a lot like if something happens with you, your guides, immediately like she needs to go take a shower, she needs water, and so that's an example of that is something that really is a part of who you are.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, and protection methods they are going to be unique to you, to whatever it is you need at the time, because it just depends on what you're protecting yourself from. So if you're trying to remove somebody's energy from a home versus trying to protect yourself going out in public because you're empathic, those are going to be two different things. Like the same thing isn't going to work for both of those situations. Yeah, and like bubbling up, going out and like you don't always need a tool or a divination tool. You don't always need a tool. They're helpful but they're tools. But you know, if you, if you don't believe in that or don't have access to it, you can also use different methodologies, like with energy and talking to your guides to protect yourself. Like bubbling up, picturing white light around you, grounding yourself.
Speaker 2:I always would imagine myself I hate the store and I know I say that like a lot on here, but I fucking hate the store and I'd always like imagine myself in medieval armor and I would basically suit up to go into the grocery store because I didn't want to basically absorb everybody's emotional junk and their baggage, because I'd leave the store exhausted. We were on the phone the one time Were we at Lowe's and I started choking. I couldn't even speak. It was like a spirit had pushed themselves on me and I literally could not talk and it felt like I was choking and I couldn't get rid of it. So thank God I was on the phone with Laura because she was able to Reiki and pull the person off of me. But there's gonna be some times where, you know, I don't think anybody's helpless, but I do feel like there are gonna be times where protecting yourself is more challenging.
Speaker 3:Well, it's just like anything in life. So it's like if you're protecting your immune system, you know you might take supplements, or you eat well, or you wash your hands and that prevents illness, or you know you're doing things to prevent getting sick. You're protecting your body. It's the same way. Energetically, you have to find to prevent getting sick. You're protecting your body. It's the same way. Energetically, you have to find what works for you. There's people that are immune, compromised and have to take extra precautions. There are people that can get away with hand washing or they can be around tons of people and they might get sick once a year.
Speaker 3:It's the same idea when you're protecting your energy. You have to come up with the ways that work for you. And how deep does that protection need to go? And that goes back to the episode when we talked about figuring out your intuitive gifts. That is a gift within itself learning how your intuition works, what your intuitive gifts are, because that is going to be a guiding jumping off point to know. Okay, this is what I need to do to protect myself.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and it's not going to be every, it's not going to be just the utilizing what we talked about. Sometimes you might have to go into voodoo culture, folklore, magic. You might have to research some things that you resonate with, like there's a lot of voodoo, even, and those get a bad rap, like some of you are hearing me say voodoo and hoodoo and you're like the first thing you think of is movies you've seen where they're doing black magic and they're using voodoo dolls to kill people and that's simply just not what it is. Of course, you can turn anything into negative.
Speaker 2:I've met negative people who are empaths and I've met negative Reiki practitioners, like it can go into varying practices, but my point is like you have to be open to more protective measures and protective type of techniques once you figure out what you need to protect yourself from.
Speaker 2:So, like, if you're empathic, you know that is usually I don't want to say it's fairly simple, but I feel like that's more cut and dry empathic things and dry empathic things. Now, if you're empathic and going to the grocery store and trying to protect yourself from that, versus being empathic and working in a hospital, those are two different things. Like your protection methods are going to be very different because you're not at the grocery store for 12 hours but you are at the hospital for 12 hours. So you might have to bring sage or spray or crystals and put them in your bra and wear them in your hair, whatever the hell you have to do, because you're basically living in a hospital where you've got death energy around you all the time and you have people who are at various emotional states at various emotional states, I have to really, really amp up the protection.
Speaker 3:To walk into a hospital, like I recently had a family member in there for a week. I was spending a lot of time there and it was like, okay, I'm going to go in. Yeah, I mean, I was like really like giving myself a pep talk because that sick and deaf energy is such a heavy energy.
Speaker 2:It is and it can stick with you for a while when you leave. It's exhausting, yeah, and it's like I, like Laura said, I'm a big proponent of taking showers, Showers and baths like water, Like if you resonate with water, those are going to be your best friends with cleansing your energy. It just are and it's you know. Washing your hair using salt even essential oils are beneficial, Like lavender is very protective and cleansing.
Speaker 3:I want to get your take on holy water. So a lot of times people are like, oh, you need holy water. You know, I have a weird funny feeling about holy water because I'm like, well, what makes it holy? Like I don't want to go to a store by fucking holy water, like who made that holy? Like well, what makes it holy? Like I don't want to go to a store by fucking holy water? Like who made that holy? What? The person that bottled it?
Speaker 3:Um, you're like I have some holy water and I do feel like that's holy. I also feel like I could get water from the Portage river, where I live, and that could be holy. I think it can have, like if I, if I, if, if I'm resonating with that. Um, um, like I, I have water from the sea of Galilee that somebody brought me, which was such an emotional gift and it was funny because right before that happened, you and I had been talking about holy water, because you were like you need holy water. I was like, okay, how am I gonna get holy water? Because I was so cynical about it. I was like, well, I'm not going anywhere fucking holy and I don't't know, I'm not going to just like buy holy water off Amazon or wherever. I don't even know where you can buy it. So I want to know your take on what is holy water? Do you believe you can make it? Do you believe it has to come from a priest? And I'll kind of talk about what I feel about holy water.
Speaker 2:So when I use when the term holy water is thrown out there and I use when the term holy water is thrown out there the only time that I've ever really used holy water was to get rid of demonic forces, because they react to spiritual or religious provocation. So having holy water that comes from a church that was blessed by a priest or someone holy is going to be extremely powerful in that type of situation. And I guess it depends on what your definition of holy water is. If it only comes from a church, then that's what I would say with it. But if you're talking about protective water that acts in a holy water way, I feel like you can definitely make that Like full moon water.
Speaker 2:I feel like has a lot of protective qualities and can cleanse a space. But if you're looking to cleanse a space, then I would say, like full moon water, water from rivers, water that's raked, water, that's infused with herbs, I think you're good. If you're looking at water to get rid of something negative, then I think you need holy water from a priest or Florida water will do the trick as well. And Florida water is a witchy water. It has different perfumes and scents infused in it and when you mix that with just distilled water and shake it, it will clear a space of negative energy. Okay.
Speaker 3:And see to me the holy water, because I remember you saying you need holy water and I was like, well, I don't resonate with any of this so-called holy water, Because to me I was like I don't resonate with a priest blessing water, where I'm like because I got to know, like to me I want to know what priest, because I want to know the energy of that priest, I want to know their intention, I want to know a good person no-transcript resonating with Cause. You know, like I really resonate like Jesus. That whole thing. It's like it's such a confusing, conflicting thing for me.
Speaker 3:Me religion and my like Christianity and all of that, um, and I have such a tie to to biblical figures, um, but I got that in, like I could not stop crying, I could feel the holiness of that water and, um, I've only used it a few times but I've.
Speaker 3:You know, my guides were like, take droppers and put that in distilled water with salt and it already has salt content, but just moving that so that it would be like an infinite amount of holy water.
Speaker 3:And I've used it. I don't do space clearings or environmental walks or anything like that, but I have used it on people with dark things happening and put it on whether it's their forehead, their palms, in that, like the Holy Spirit um cross I've I've had to use it only when I'm called, but I've used it to put on the palms of my hands different, and so I just find that like interesting in it that the reason I asked that is to show like that is a Testament to how you have to do what works for you and what you resonate with. So Because for you to do an environmental walk and that holy water you have to resonate with, with what that is, and feel that intention and that frequency, just like I have to. I can't get holy water from a priest because I don't believe in that. It's something that doesn't connect to me in any way, shape or form.
Speaker 2:See, and that does connect with me, even though I have my own issues with church and religion.
Speaker 2:But I also believe that there are people who have been called to do that type of work and who are genuinely holy people, and so I just have to trust that, where that water came from, god higher being Jesus whatever the hell you want to call it had a hand in blessing that water, because when you take the person out of the equation, the intention is to bless the water with the energy of Christ, and that is nothing but love, purity, goodness, and that will dispel anything negative.
Speaker 2:So it's like when I go into situations where there is demonic activity or there are very evil, vile things there, I have to believe that that water is going to work, because other than that water or frankincense or other things like that, there's nothing I can really do, because some of those beings, they just are what they are and I am not an exorcist. So that is my only point of protection is using holy water or frankincense sometimes mugwort to protect myself in locations that have demonic activity. And you know, I have to believe it works and you know I have to believe it works.
Speaker 3:Yeah, other I definitely believe that there are, you're done some pastors and priests, absolutely that I've met them. I have friends that are, um, it could bless water for sure. Yeah, um, that's what I'm saying I would have to like for me personally. I would have to know that person, I would have to know who's blessing it and where it's coming from me. But there's absolutely. I mean, I've been in a basilica. Do I resonate with? You know most Catholic want me burned at the stake, but I've been in a basilica.
Speaker 3:I've been to Notre Dame in the basilica and I've been to other churches where I'm been to notre dame in the basilica and I've been to other churches where I'm moved to tears because I can feel that holy spirit, jesus, that that whole energy within them. So, um, you know, it's usually less about the religion and there's the energy of a space, but absolutely I just wanted your take on that.
Speaker 3:What's a basilica? I have no clue. It's generally like a church. It's typically like a Catholic-based church, Like the basilica at Notre Dame is the church and you go in. It's incredibly beautiful.
Speaker 2:Oh, so it's just another name for church.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I mean I'm sure that there's some reason for that, but the basilica, like I'm sure if I went to the Vatican I would feel a lot.
Speaker 2:Oh my gosh. Yeah, because it's. I mean you have. Religion didn't start out in a bad way. It just ended up when man took over it, in my opinion, trying to force people to believe what they believe. That's when religion got bad, and I've always felt like the devil whatever you want to call negative energy has always had some kind of hand in religion, because who goes out and kills people in the name of God? That's not what God is. So there's always been that internal conflict for me. So church structures have always been. I've been very leery of them because some just don't have that welcoming feeling. And then it's what you resonate with, yeah.
Speaker 3:They all have the same foundation, if they would all listen to each other. To me, it's like it gets a bad rap, because when you start pitting against people or yeah, you're judging other people. I'm just kind of of like believe what you want to believe and I don't care, that's for you.
Speaker 3:Like I'm supporting whatever you believe in, go for it, and I have clients from every religious background oh from atheism to you know, devout catholics to um, everything in between, and I I welcome anyone and it's never interfered with the work I've done. And there's a lot of protection that you can be if your belief system, if you're um lutheran or methodist, I can't. Whatever you are and that is what you believe in and you resonate with, that is something you can use to protect yourself.
Speaker 2:Absolutely Like a lot of people that are clients of mine. They're Catholic I've never personally resonated with being Catholic, ever in my life but they use a lot of their Catholic belief systems to protect themselves. They use a lot of their Catholic belief systems to protect themselves, like, if they're starting to have negative thoughts, like they'll utilize whatever prayer method works for them and it stops it instantly. And if you have some sort of strong belief with that, it's going to work for you. It wouldn't work for me. Yeah, it just wouldn't. I just don't. Well, it's all the same thing that I vibrate with.
Speaker 3:A prayer is an intention, so it's just a matter of your belief system and your. Verbally, a detailed prayer for protection is no different than a spell you might put for protection. It's all. It's just different verbiage and different belief, and so that's why it's kind of like, all the same it is, and that's kind of how I see it too. But yeah, I don't know, I feel like there are a million ways you can protect yourself and you can set intentions and just about anything to protect yourself or to let that work, but you have to resonate with it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and it's. You know, going back to Catholic like hanging the rosary beads above your bed when you're sleeping to protect yourself from evil things is no different than a mojo bag that you would make in voodoo culture, so it's like it's the same type of concept in a different construct. Yeah, and it's nice I have.
Speaker 3:I am not Catholic, I grew up Methodist but I'm sitting right now in my Reiki room, my sacred place. That's where I record and I have. Maybe I'll take a picture and post that on the podcast. But I have a picture of Jesus that I got in Puerto Rico and hanging on it is a rosary that somebody had given me. Am I Catholic? No, but I felt the intention and love behind. She made the rosary and it hangs on the jesus that is on my altar in my reiki room that's beautiful, but that's so.
Speaker 2:rosary and then mandala necklaces same type of concept, where you have, like the long beads, they're made of crystals and you pray on each bead. It's the same type of thing. One's Tibetan One is what is that?
Speaker 3:You said Catholic yeah, Catholic yeah.
Speaker 3:And there's similarities. If we would look, we would just see oh, we're all trying to find that same frequency of love. We're just getting to it maybe in different ways with different vocabulary. But that I mean, and that's an example. I am not a Catholic but I feel very protected. I love that I have that in there that somebody made a rosary with intentions of love and protection and prayer. What a beautiful thing that somebody prayed over me. I'll take that. I don't care if you're Catholic or what you are, I'll take that. I'll't care if you're Catholic or what you are. I'll take that. I'll take that's good energy, that's a good vibration.
Speaker 3:But, all these things. I feel like if you have questions on protection, you know we want to hear your questions. What do you got for? Got for us?
