All right, guys, welcome to this week's podcast. That's also going out on our YouTube channel as vlog number two. This week, me and Danny, basically having a bit of a closer look at Disney Hollywood Studios, having a bit of a walkthrough, having a look at some of the surroundings and some of the stuff that they're doing. Great. Some of the, esthetic stuff that we that we really like. And, and having a good old walk around the park, an awful lot of Galaxy's Edge. So I'll apologize. Now, that, I love Galaxy's Edge. But also some looks at, some of the other stuff that they do, like Toy Story Land, like, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, like the Tower of Terror, all that sort of stuff. So, buckle up. Here we go. Let's get into the podcast. Okay. So basically driving up to Hollywood studios, I like this. I like the, the cable cars. You see, they go from park to park. Yeah, that's pretty cool way of getting from it. The Travel Channel is a train in terms of things like, the monorail, monorail, monorail, monorail. Yeah. I've never been a monorail here. Apparently, it was the first operational monorail in Northern America. Wow. There you go. But Bob Gurr, he designed the first one. I think they didn't. Disney have their own public transport system, don't they? Yeah. Yeah. So where are we now? So we're coming up with we're basically coming up into the side of Main Street and the bit that I like from this and the bit that I can take from all this is one I love the Art deco sort of style, the old black and white, you know, film America type of thing. Golden age cinema sort of thing. Yeah, that that sort of stuff. But the other bit I can take away from this is this is obviously first thing in the morning, but just look how pristine it is. Yeah. It's mental. Yeah. It's very crazy. Very clean. And there's another thing that I notice as well. And you'll know this is a fun Disney look. How many bins, how close the bins are due to that. So there's one, two, three, four, five just in that image alone. Yeah. And that's, is it seven steps or something. And Disney I know it many. Yeah. So yeah, many observed in the observed how long it takes for people to drop litter. And it's on an average seven steps. I don't know if this is true or not, but he timed out in how long it would take him to eat a hot dog. Wow. Yeah. So then you throw the rubbish away, but you can see it. Definitely. It looks like it could be true with how many bins are. Yeah, in the place. Now, the the stuff that I look for and this, this is what we were talking about last week. The stuff that I look for when I'm at the park, like here to the left, we've got a life size 80, 80, from Star Wars. Yeah. Now that's starters itself. And the things I like about it is when you're, you're basically surrounded by an immersed in something but something like that. So it's not just the actual luxury, it's they're also doing the touch of it as well. The sound around you. And an awful lot of times they're also doing the smell of it as well. Wow. Which is it? Fully immersed, fully that I mean, every single sense is here at that point. Yeah. Which is which is awesome. Okay. It's, it's then you're coming across then sort of feelings without even realizing it. And you get this smell and that triggers a memory or whatever. And there you go. That's when we're talking about the little voice in back of your head that says it, right. So as we going along here, if we look to the left, that's basically the Muppet Land, Muppet 3D, which unfortunately, is leaving us now. Yeah. And that's going to be changing into monsters, Inc. Oh, really? Cool. That's a whole other idea. Yeah. So they're doing a, the door, right? Oh, I have seen concept art for this, actually. Yeah. All right. Looks cool. Yeah. Here we go. Sit where? Everybody wave to goofy and Max. Oh, man. And so where we going now? Entering it. So this is a transition. So we're leaving the normal Hollywood studios and it's transition in in, as you can tell by the rock work and things like that on the floor and all around you. We're heading into Galaxy's Edge. And as we're talking about the floor, look at the floor. Because the floor itself. This is just poured concrete. They're actually putting into it things like droid bars. See this tread marks on to the left. There are all different sorts of alien life walking here. Big metal robots leaving dense ground. And exactly. But also the lighting and everywhere you go in this land is as if you are in some sort of Imax theater. And what I mean by that is, is the sound immerses you. It's literally everywhere. So you were saying that you get sounds of like things flying overhead and landing nearby fields or whatever it is. Yeah. So you obviously don't see that because they come off as a spaceship, fly across you every day, but they've blocked out the outside world. Yeah. I mean, we've talked about this before with the distance. There's the rock work there in the distance that that sort of hides surrounding for the people in the audio podcast surrounding Galaxy's Edge. It has a berm which basically blocks out the surrounding world. Okay. But the way that they have done that is, again, they've made it look like mountains. Cliff edge is rock work. Big, big rock work. And in that, immediately it makes sure that you can't hear or see anything of the outside world which is, which is cool. And just on the video there, you just saw the, air cleaner or whatever that they called. They're in full costume, not not in overalls or stand out as a cleaner. They are part of that world. They, the the spade and the and the brush and the shovel that it was used in as well. Like that was on the theme as well, which is pretty cool. So you are never sort of taken out of that zone other than the customers or guests or whatever. Yeah. So, so basically they're they're cast. Yeah. Of of crew. You will never see them in costume in another land. Yeah. Or outside of of work basically. So what we're looking at here is, I suppose the small, the small shopping area of Galaxy's Edge. And for the people listening, you are going down a a mall, I suppose you could say. But every single thing of it is, is as if you're going into some sort of catacombs. Yeah. And it's just, again, it immerses you. You come out into an eating area at the end of it where it's like roast in some sort of wild. Yeah. I wasn't sure what that was, actually. That's a big, big sort of turkey looking thing, but it didn't like it. It solutely massive. And then again, as you're going further through it, you, you see things that look like they've been there for absolute eons. Yeah. And other things have grown up around it, you know, and then you come out into a clearing and what's there in the clearing? It's a it's a basically it's a hero shot. And the hero shot is the Millennium Falcon. Yeah. And, just the background of detail again, with everything there, there's just nothing normal in sight. Now. Everything is, is, is fully like I fully immersive of fully just in detail that the you know, there's no new buildings there. I know there are all new buildings, but nothing looks out of place. The floor looks part of it. The pins, the lights, the whatever. These are called where it blocks the shade, it blocks the sun for some shade. Everything's from from the plants and everything. It just looks like it is meant to be. And it's been there for centuries. And then you come round the corner. And here there's not another big opening and another hero shot. Yeah. So this one you see, you basically seeing Vader's ship looking like it's just landed there. Wow. I, I assume obviously I can't see this on the video, but but I assume this noise is going to match. Yeah. So again, you get in like, speed is flying over here as you walking past stuff. You're hearing droids talking to each other. There's like chirps. And also were you saying as well that there's some doorways within this part of the park as well, but you could interact with, I suppose, the right word. Yeah. So you can go on. You can go on like little quests. Yeah. In the land. And as if you are a bounty hunter and you have got to figure out where you need to go, and you've got to do certain things and parts of that. And I'm not giving you any spoilers. Parts of that is you will go up to certain doors and you've got to knock on them, or you've got to scan them and add that a little, a little slide. Slot a little open, and you will see alien eyes looking back at you and talking to you. That is pretty cool. It is pretty cool. Yeah, I like the idea of the sea, so you don't have to be there just for the rise. There's something extra for you to do. Is it, would you say that's aimed at Star Wars fans or could anyone get. I think anybody could get behind it. Now here we go. We'll be having a closer look up at. Because the thing that interests me that, we're having a closer look at some of the actual esthetics of the queuing area is the just the this, the stuff that means absolutely nothing but makes all the difference. All the difference and everything from, you know, they they build an awful lot of stuff out of like concrete. Okay. And they are changing the look of the concrete to make it look like sometimes it's wood, sometimes it's metal, sometimes it's concrete, sometimes it's stone. Yeah. And the, the amount of time that they are putting into that and forming it is absolutely phenomenal. You know we're looking at we're looking at something here that I know for a fact is concrete, but it looks like it's basically some sort of light shielding that's metal. Yeah. You know, but again, it's not just that. It's also it's aged. It's been aged in aged needs to the point of it looks like it's rotting away. Yeah. So so we look at an image now where it does look like it's got a bit of damp on there or something rusting. It's got different colors of there that would suggest rose the floor in there absolutely been trodden on for a million years. But yeah. So the it it's to look like it's been there and it's wearing away. So they've had to put some sort of like reinforcements in the floor. But it's looked at since day one. The reality of it is they put it in there to look like that. Fantastic. So here we are. We're basically going to step into the cantina. And the cantina is a fantastic experience to go in there. Did they play the music? They playing lots of different types of music that are very much the same. Because they can just play one tune over and over again, I think. I think everybody works at a double nervous break. But I've got to say, as a, as a massive fan that I am, and you look at it, you just go, oh, this is amazing. Look at all the pipework and all the creatures in there. Creatures move. Even the pumps, you know, everything like that. And then you actually think to yourself, that's that's brilliant. So you get in there and it's literally like yourselves, we we'd booked, a month in advance. Yeah. And they took us in there and they basically just stood at the bar and said, right, okay, what do you want to drink? And as soon as you are drinking to go. Right. Okay. See you later. Bye. Oh, really? And you booked a month in advance for so. Yeah. That's crazy. Yeah. And the seven of us. Yeah. You know, obviously the drinks aren't the cheapest drinks in the world. Well, I'm going there for a bloody rancher.$20.50. Yeah. Wow. $20.50. And also, an an interesting thing, with not just not just the cantina, but I think it was it was more exaggerated than the cantina was. It's like. Right. Okay. Well, here you go. Here's your thing. What else can I get you? But we don't we don't drink vision. Right. Okay. And then come back a couple of minutes later. Okay. Anything else I can get you? Yeah. So it's always trying to sell, and then it's like, okay, well, we still. We'll start with it, or else can I get you, And then you just finally go. Well, no, actually, it's cause this is. I'm stood at the bar. We do not even have any seats. Yeah. I think we'll call it at that and we'll leave. Yeah. So we're left and the bring the bill. They automatically put on a service charge. Hey, Bill, even though you were already at the bar and there was no service, even though there was no sir, no, no good service. And and then there's a service charge and then the actual the guy then asks you for a tip. Wow. Even though there's a service charge on that. Well, and the service charge is, 20, 25%. And you said you tip is never asking Yorkshireman for a service charge. To be honest, a lot of the places I would give the person a tip. Okay? The reason why I didn't give the canteen the guy a tip was it was relatively unpleasant and quite pushy and literally it just felt like a rip off. Right? I would say it's from what you said, an hour, a month in advance for that sort of experience. That's. You'd feel a bit downhearted with that. I definitely would have done. Yeah. Well, I've been Star Wars fan since I was kid, so, you know, I was pretty. I was pretty annoyed at that. Yeah. Anyway, so moving on from there. Smuggler's run. Okay, so this is something that I can get behind. Yeah. Smuggler's run absolutely love the ride. And bits of it that I love about it. Okay, first off you are literally queuing up, going around the queue, the queue line and for large portions of that queue, right. You're looking at amazing set pieces. Okay. And for, for a very large part of it, you're actually looking at the Millennium Falcon itself, the one that is the hero piece in the in the opening outside, you can see through windows and openings to see different parts of it, the backs of it, and above the works that they have put into that is nothing short of phenomenal. Okay, the most about a multiple Star Wars experts that I also know that right. Wouldn't particularly at that. Oh, I'm sure they have. And I'm sure they've all got an ad no problem. Yeah. No. Oh you need an X two for two and 326. So X4326 is almost a middle of the difference. Exactly though joking aside joking, I've got an awful lot of mates that are massive Star Wars fans to the point of the dress up, and they do an awful lot of stuff at that. But you're right, it's that level of detail, the ego. Wow. That's breathtaking. Yeah. That's breathtaking. And then as you come round in the queue lines, you actually start boarding the ship, as it were. Okay. And the final, the final part of it is, as they are, as they are filtering you into as they call cruise. Yeah. Because you are going to pilot and man the Millennium Falcon on a mission. That's pretty cool. Okay, so you've got two pilots, you've got two engineers and you've got two gunners. Okay. And the you've been talked to the whole time and he's saying, oh, we need to do this. Oh, it's a change of plan. This Nissan happened out of the worst kind of things. And you do have an actual impact on what you do affects what you are seeing and feeling. So therefore you could get a different experience every single time. Yeah. Because if you if you end up with, I've been on this ride a couple of times now. Okay. And if you get a pilot or two that crap. Okay, you know all about it. Yeah. Right. Because they're hitting stuff and flying into things, and the whole ship's, like juddering and shaking and and giving it all this line, and, and it's the same with if you've got some bad gunners, you know, the ship's taking hits. So I don't know if you have experiences, but can you fail the mission then I, I always get it to the end, no matter what. Well, I you can fail the mission. But it also gives you individual ratings on how you did. So you don't need to be too worried about you're not necessarily working 100% as a team. You're working individually as well. I mean, it's better to work as a team, right? But if you've got if you've got a couple of Randy's in there, people that you don't know, some random individuals, it doesn't really matter. They can be as crap as they I feel I feel like could be a parent and child and they'll go, yeah, well, you can captain the ship then. Yeah, you steer it. And everyone else thinking, I'm not going to get best. I'm it. Yeah. So it's that it's that sort of thing. But, the whole experience is pretty damn phenomenal. Can I, can I ask you. So you're saying that these crews are crew members? Six. Your crew is seven. I know what happened that that split. Yeah. Yeah. Basically. So we, we went in a foreign three. Yeah. And I like it, like I said, we, we had I say only on one occasion we, we managed six of them and, I can't remember who it was that wanted to sit out on that one, but but anyway, there were six of us. And we did pretty, pretty well. Pretty damn well, actually. But the majority of the time, yeah, we've always got at least two, if not three. What did you get to choose your position, and if so, what do you want. Yeah. Well you, you you can choose your position. Yeah. Sort of. If the other people in your crew are playing ball. Right. Okay. So other than that, other than that the, the, the, the cast members that are running the, the ride, you know, they will take control of it and they'll just go, right, okay. You got my two pilots. You'll have to do this again. And we know ourselves sometimes when you've got a group that are a little bit like how. Oh, no, you do it. Oh no, you do it. And the Brits are terrible for this. Too polite. Okay. They are too polite. You know, thankfully, the cast members will step in and go, oh, don't worry about it. Y'all doing this, you're doing that. You're doing other. And they will just get you in there because they you need to keep the flow, of course, moving because you know so yeah. Smuggler's Run absolutely fantastic. The amount of detail that they're putting in there is brilliant. The layers of the paintwork, the layers of the different textures that they put in in, just absolutely mind boggling. I think I find that a secret of Smugglers Room. I was watching, some, some YouTube footage of the day, and apparently there's a Chewbacca mode they can do. Apparently I've not witnessed Chewbacca mode. Well, he did the people in the video with the day, they know they they were very surprised by it and they'd done it a few times, and apparently they just said, oh, can I have it in to make a mode? This kid and that the the cast member did it for him. There we go. So I don't know if it how true it is. You know but so there you go. So it's asking if if you are going to go on Smuggler's Run at any point, the last thing that you need to say is you are boarding the cockpit is, is there any chance we can have Chewbacca mode? Yeah. So I those er I don't know if they do it for everyone or what, but that's what, that's what they said they did. But there you go. So no. So as we're coming out of there we are now heading heading into Savage's workshop in Savage's workshop. For anybody who isn't a hardened, Star Wars fan or someone who's not very savvy on Star Wars, there you go. Basically is where you build lightsabers. Yeah. Okay. And I would say head and shoulders, not the shampoo, but head and shoulders. This is a both definitely the cantina and any of the paid active bits right in Galaxy's Edge. So this is another one that you've obviously booked in advance. So again, we had to book a month in advance. Okay. Oh was it two months I think it might. It's definitely a month. So are you saying that if I showed up on the day then there's no chance whatsoever. And they just laugh at me about it? And what are you doing there? What? Lafia. But you are going, right? Yeah. I tried to talk my way in. Yeah, the first time that I went to Florida and it was just a straight up no. Yeah, well, it was a straight up, not really. Sorry. Maybe we can get you in in amongst time. I don't, yeah, but I'm not going to be here then. I'm not even in the country. Yeah. So which is surprising because you could talk your way to the moon, I would say. Oh, I don't know about that. I could talk my way into that, I'll tell you that for nothing. So, so basically the idea behind this and as you are looking at the outside of Savage's workshop, okay, is it supposed to be somewhat hidden? Right. Because this is the resistance, these are the rebels, and this is where they create their armory. They're their weapons. Right? Okay. So they don't want just anybody just strolling in there. And that was a really nice bit because if you are one of the all the first that's in line to get in there in a booking. And they normally have about ten people, maybe 12 people that go in all at once. Okay. Basically the cast member will have a quiet word with you and Sarah. Okay. When you get in there, you need to knock on the door in a certain code. Yeah, okay. Because otherwise they won't open the door because they don't want the the Republic or the order or whatever to get in there. Okay. So they do that and as they, as they basically knock this cord into the door, you know, again one of these little guy slots opens and then the door opens. And the door brilliant does very similar to the doors that we've actually got an impact actually. Yeah. Sliding doors that slide into the wall itself. But just looking around this, this not massive area, not this huge room. Okay. So it's probably got about 10 to 15 places. Okay. It is all geared up for the full light in full sound effects with moving objects as well. If anybody wants to see this full video and the full video from some of the other things that we've done in Galaxy's Edge, check out one of our other, our other videos on YouTube. Okay. We'll put a link in the, in the post. Click on that. And, and also, if you've been there, you know, make sure that you put a comment or you you're right as a message because we're all I'm, I'm especially always interested if there's anything else that we missed out. Yeah. In case I ever get a chance to go back again. Yeah. You know, so we'll go from there. But we just created this new weapons, our new lightsabers, and we'll go straight into rise of the resistance. Okay. So which one's this one? This is rise of the resistance is seen as the big ride. Okay, okay. The big rise of Galaxy's Edge. And I've got to say it is. Yeah, it's pretty damn fantastic. Okay. I will put the the full walkthrough ride video into this vlog. Okay. But if you do want to watch that, it is in one of the other videos that we've got on our channel. And again, we'll put the link to those videos in the comments and on the end of this video, but what you've got on this video is, is this is the queue line going into it. Yeah. So we've got parts of the queue line. So again, look at the rock work that we've got here for the people that's listening to this, they literally are transitioning from space to space to space. And the rock work, the surrounding of it is like you're going through catacomb, through caves. And as you go through one of the doorway transitions into another look of space, you know? So it's as if the resistance car, you know, of carved out the bits that they need, kind of like a mold into the do little chambers and all the rest of it. You know, that's exactly what they've done here. So the doorways that they've created, again, it looks like they've used lasers to cut through it. Wow. Okay. Then you go into a holding another holding area. But this one is also got many things going on with projections and holograms of of Ray speaking to Biba. Biba moving around quite freely. Yeah. Poking his head out, going away. And that in itself is not an easy thing to do because Biba, in essence, is a ball with a thing balanced on top of it. Yeah. You know, so that in itself isn't an easy thing to do. Then you go from there into the a transport ship and from the transport ship that gets captured by the order. You then get taken to the the order ship, the Republic ship, whatever you want to call it. And you're basically in there and then you've got to escape from that. I've there's no point me trying to talk you through the whole thing, because I can't do it justice in the length of time that we've got. This is this is this is set right. This is not right. That like that, that the previous one where you can affect it. Yeah. It's set right and it is what it is. So this, this one is very much a set. Right. So what happens happens. Okay. They have I think they have four maybe, maybe six. Of, of these raids happening at any one time. Are they all the same scenario. They are all the same scenario. Okay. But you might see things slightly from different perspectives. Okay. And then it's got dropped elements in it. It's got light elements in it. The sound is amazing. The using a lot of, projection mapping. Okay, which Disney is doing a lot of in their parks anyway. But there's a lot of projection mapping going on in there. That makes it look like lightsabers. Okay. A cutting through doors and walls. Yeah. Okay. But it's actually projection mapping. So projection mapping just for anyone doesn't know. That's that. The idea behind that is that, it is a, an interactive projection, I suppose, so that you can see from multiple perspectives and still see. So basically what they, what they do is they, use a, a, a very, very, very, intense projector, a laser projector to, to basically project onto a spot, you could say a surface or a canvas or whatever. But these services don't have to be flat, and they don't have to be just white. So the it's such an intense projection that it will project onto it. And that's what they're literally doing in here. They're using that to look like they're using lasers to cut through a wall, okay, in a door shape. And then that actually turns out that's the door. I think the most common sort of projection mapping, you'll see is, onto the side of a building. Yeah. And I think, like for us in the UK, the, the dungeons do it, they'll have a face and they project in, you know, a model head or something. And then the projection is actually mapped onto it and makes it look like it's talking to you, looking at you and things. Yeah. And I suppose that's the most basic form of it. But you're just going up to a whole 10,000 new levels with Disney. Yeah, the Imagineers know what they do it. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It does it just, so, so that's that's an idea of rise of resistance. We have got a full walkthrough of that with the rides and everything like that, and the queue lines and stuff. So if you if you do fancy actually seeing it, witnessing it. Obviously it's, it's a shadow of what it's like to be on it. But if you, if you're after an idea of what we're talking about, click on the link that's in the in the comments. We were lucky enough to be there on May the 4th last, last year in 2024, which, which is important for Star Wars because May the 4th be with you? Absolutely. And it was 5 or 6000 people there with lightsabers. Yeah. People dressed up. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, people dressed up and they were turning up in, like, full groups and all the rest of it, you know, that the workers, work as a crew. Yeah, it was brilliant. So we'll come out of that and we'll have a we'll have a quick wander through. Toy Story land. Yes. So Toy Story land, the idea of it is, as you walk in along again, look at the floor so you'll see Andy's footprints over in the floor. Massive, massive. So where toy size? So I think the floor looks like I might be wrong, but it looks like dry mode, as if it was crash dry mode. Is that right? Dry. I would expect to be able to see the footprint there. Yeah, and another one. Just another one. Yeah. But the idea is that you are a toy. Looks like you'd be a toy size. Yeah. So because I've just seen both, what is around the corner here? I reckon we're the size of the army men. Yeah, something like that. Perspective I. Yeah. And they. And what we've got in here, we've got a number of rides. We've got a slinky dog ride. You know, I've got to be straight with you that was a long queue for Slinky Dog. Yeah, real long queue. And it's not like it's some sort of crazy adrenaline ride. It's not. You might be all right, but. Yeah. Yeah. For context, I don't want to focus, but isn't it the only roller coaster in this area? It's the. Yeah, it's the only actual roller coaster. Yeah, yeah. So a lot of people get credits for, you know, the classic as a credit. Don't move. Yeah. Also we've got Midway Mania in here now. Way main is fantastic. The queue lines fantastic because of the number of things going on there like Mr. Potato Hairdo who talks to people individually. Yeah. Has a number of, reactions and things like that to the people who's actually there. And you can even do stuff like pulling his ears off and all that sort of stuff, which is great. But that's, that's a, that's a nice thing. Downside to that is, so we're not just talking positives. Downside to it is when he, when there isn't somebody interacting. Yeah. So there's not a guess there way in talking to him. Right. Well even if there is guests there, if there isn't somebody that's controlling Mr. Potato Head, he just sort of stands there. I see. So there's no light sleep mode where they go. He's gone for a toilet break. It moves it. It does move a little bit, but not a great deal. All right. And and it can be for a long time. Yeah. Like I'm talking like ten, 15 minutes. I also think this is one of the ones. There's loads and loads of footage out there of, of malfunctions in, in animatronics. I think this is one of the most malfunctioning. Oh, is this in an, I don't know, in, in one of the parks. Yeah, I don't know, I know, I know, there's an awful lot going on with it. But yeah, I mean, it's great when he's chatting to people. Yeah, I, I love the idea of it. So we come out of there and then we basically walk around the corner and here we are in the main, the main area with Mickey Minnie's Runaway Railway, which is considered I've never been to Disneyland, never has my son, my son's favorite Disneyland ride. Yeah, yeah, I don't blame it, which is brilliant. Queue area on this one. Fantastic. You basically as if you're going into the Chinese theater type of thing. There's a great. Sure. Like, as if you are in the cinema. Yeah. Right. And you're basically watching a Mickey and Minnie cartoon, and then all of a sudden it basically explodes, and that reveals the entrance to the rest of the queuing area. So, okay, now I know you know how this works. Yeah. So, so essentially what it is you're watching a, on an actual screen, and, the screen is absolutely complete. There's no holes in it. However, the screen is twice as high as what you can see. So what they essentially do is as the explosion happens and the room fills up with smoke and, and the projection is, is creating this illusion and distraction, if you will, that the, the screen will actually then pogo revealing the hole that would be at the bottom. So the screen is not, not ripped or anything like that. It's just create this hole which then you walk through and it's just perfect timing of the destruction of it. The smoke and the explosion and perfect, creation behind the hole to make it look like that. You know, it's it's it's this explosion has create this said this exact hole. You can every now and then you could catch it. There is some videos where you can catch it because the smoke's just missed hand or something. But 99% of the time it's, it's. And especially if you're looking out for it. But no maps at the time. Yeah, it's it's just magic. Yeah. Now, I've been lucky enough to have the full effect to it, and I'll be straight with. Yeah, I was looking at all. How did that do that? Yeah. Okay. And I was blown away with that. Yeah. No, I think I think that's the whole point. Disneyland. You they want you to be like is there's always going to be people like myself who's trying to look at, you know, if I'm watching a magician on channel for the trick, they can't just leave things like that. And because I do theater work as well, I see some of these backstage stuff as well. So yeah, just ruin it for me. But at the same time I can sit there and go, that was cool, that it was so smooth that the trick paid off. I know how they do it. Just like Penn and Teller. I know how they do it. They're telling me how they do it, but it still was good how they did it. And that's that's an a great example of this sort of thing. Oh, nice. But he's brilliant. I've also been unlucky enough when it wasn't running. And you just walk around the queue and it's already there's an. All right. Okay. Which to be fair, you still can work if you, if you've not seen it, what you can do. Yeah. Trust me. Yeah. That's that's rubbish. Yeah. When you walk round the car it's like all right. Yeah. We're just going to queue straight through. Yeah. We. Yeah that's a shame. The only shame if you, if you knew what was going to happen now I think it's a shame for even people if people don't know because they don't get to see it coming to you go into what is quite obviously a cinema. Yeah. And then you, you, you basically just have a hole in that's already there. Yeah. Which I suppose it and malfunctions happen all the time. It happens. Think of all of the stuff they've got but it happens. But at least you still get it is a shame. It is a shame. So but it's it's good. It's it's a great ride. It's fantastic ride. And the queuing area itself, the queuing area itself, the weather, it is designed as if it is a two day. Yeah. All of this sort of stuff. Yeah. Okay. I keep saying it. It is something that's just easy, surely that you just put a black line around the edge of everything to make it look it, but it's not as easy as that. You've still got to do, you textile in and everything in texture. Should I say it? Yeah. It looks incredible. Right. So, after. After. Mickey. Minnie. Yeah. Oh, the only Covid improvement like we're going to get soon. Yeah. We're going here. So the the only way to finish off your day at Hollywood studios, it's got to be, tower terror tower of terror. Yeah. And this this is, something that most of the time you can see in the distance. Most that's. Yes, you can see you can see it before you get to the part. Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. You could, you could see it from the, the cable cars when they're walking in there. But yeah, this is, I think what most people are going to want to go on straight away, and then they go, this is on the bucket list of Disney things to do. Oh yeah, it's it. And it's a great it's a great ride. Now not all the tower terrors are the same. Yeah. Yeah. So I know that they're they're slight differences with most of them. And I believe different story lines. Yeah. And them as well, especially the Japanese. Yeah. Well maybe I don't know, I haven't done the Japanese. I've done the Paris one. I've done the Florida one. The Florida one is definitely better out of those two, the Paris one just goes up and down. Yeah. And the Florida one basically goes driving around a bit. Yeah. And then goes up and down. Yeah. Which is super cool, super cool. And again, the projections that you use in and the sounds that they use in just takes it to a whole new level. There's a, there's a duck. We've both seen it and I can't remember this documentary on Disney Plus that that talks about. Or is it the Imagineering. Imagineering. Yeah. Amazing amazing documentary. Got to give it a look. Just the pure detail that go into it. But there is an episode that talks about the Tower of Terrors and how why they're so different from each other and and what the subtle differences are. Yeah. Whilst all have an Easter egg to the original one. Yeah. It's. Yeah, it's pretty cool. But again, the, the queuing, the queuing, detail for me stayed outside, you know, so as you're walking around it you, you're looking, you're going through the gardens of this old hotel and all the rest of it, and you're walking through it and you just go in, this is this is bloody brilliant. And then like the ivy, that's then the vines that are going up around the building and the pillars and the and the gazebos and things like that, you know, it's amazing. And then you get up close to the, the. Not even what. Yeah. Yeah. Again the detail. So, so I think you saying that they are metal so they've got a metal frame. And then there's, there's either spray in like a concrete mixture on to it and then painting it up. Or they using some sort of cement mixture, and then, and then painting it after they've carved it. So the, the, basically the spray on or they'll the made and do it in molds if they've got molds of some of it, you know, and then when is, if they're not doing it in a mold that they're then carbonate while it's, it's starting to set. But it's not 100% set. And I think the key to it is that it's not just randomly put that it's put next to the garden, but there's real plants and stuff. So the illusion is enhanced a lot more because of things like that. Definitely. And and then putting it right up there and, and you literally stood next to it, you know, I mean, it's not like a reach out and touch it. You practically touch it anyway. Yeah. You know, so they're not scared of it. They're not scared of people seeing it. It's absolutely fantastic. It's brilliant, to be perfectly honest. But it's that so a level that they go to on everything. Yeah. Now, which is, which is awesome. So that's pretty much rounding out our our brief chat about Hollywood studios, and some of the things that we look for when we're, when we're actually looking at the rides, whether it's Hollywood studios or if we're going to own towers or anything like that. Who we talk about Alton Towers in the not too distant future. But it's this sort of thing that we look for, and we then start to pick it apart. And also it'll be this sort of thing that you'll be able to watch as we're creating our new creations coming up this year. This is, something as simple as how to make something look old when it's a brand new piece of. Yeah, obviously. And it's incredible like that. We were talking earlier. I don't think we mentioned it on the podcast yet, but we were talking about just so much simple as the cobwebs. The cobwebs have got to last forever. You can't just wait for a callback to appear. It's got to look a certain way and it's got to last forever. But also be cleaner ball because they can't let it get dirty, because then that wouldn't be a good fit for hygiene and safety and things like that. So just little things like that is, is awesome. What the detail they go to. Yeah. No, it's absolutely fantastic. And I'd really like the opportunity to, go back and see again. I'll go to all the, all the Disney sites and see how they're doing it. Yeah. But, thank you very much for listening. And, if you managed to get to the end of it, well, don't give yourself a pat on the side. For anybody else who's who's watching the vlog version of this on our YouTube channel. Very well done. All the links and everything will be down in the comments. And if you've been or if there's somewhere that you would recommend this to go, please put a comment. You were always up for suggestions, so thanks again and we'll catch you next week.
