When Sara's dad started exhibiting abnormal behaviors, doctors were reluctant to run more tests. After all, he'd just had a normal CT scan — what could possibly be wrong? But Sara and her family knew her father well enough to know that his behavior had become atypical and erratic. But it wasn't until he was admitted to the hospital after a seizure that further testing was done, revealing the heartbreaking diagnosis of glioblastoma. Sara's dad passed just a few months after his diagnosis, but Sara, who has since become a reluctant expert on glioblastomas, is hopeful that for future patients, nuclear medicine can provide some answers. Hear more about her story and the potential that nuclear medicine has in diagnosing and treating glioblastomas in this month's episode of the JNMT Podcast.
