SPEAKER_00:

Well, hey, friends, it's Cheryl here with Healing Strongs Around the Word podcast with a quick update for you. Just like many of you, we're going to take a break for the Christmas holidays. We're going to take some time to rest, relax, recharge, and then come back strong for January. So don't worry, we're going to be back in early January with a brand new series. It's on the book of Daniel. We're going to be studying the first four chapters in the book of Daniel about Daniel and his three friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. It's all based on a Bible plan that we have on the UVersion Bible app called Trusting God's Plan in the Fire. You're going to love these next episodes. It's such an awesome, awesome just podcast and recording. In fact, when we recorded it, I personally was going through my own fire. And so it's just been really great to re-listen to our conversations and know that I'm on the other side of that fire right now, and God is good and God is faithful. So check that out in January. And on the ministry side of the house, things have been very busy behind the scenes. We are working on a big update to our Healing Strong website, and you'll be able to see that launch in the new year. It's going to make connecting with groups, finding resources, and exploring our Bible plans easier than ever. We've also got some other exciting news. Our I Am Healing Strong podcast is coming back in January. Jim Mann is back again and he's bringing some more incredible interviews that will inspire and encourage you on your healing journey. And as we head into the season of giving, if you have been encouraged by our podcast or our Bible plans, would you consider supporting us so we can keep creating more of these resources? You can give online at healingstrong.org slash donate. That's healingstrong.org slash donate. And right now, we have donors matching gifts up to$50,000. So every dollar you give is doubled. And that's huge. Huge. While we're on break, if you're still wanting some of our great resources and be connected with God's Word and filled with His Word, one, you can go back to some of our earlier episodes, like the Joseph series, if you missed it or if you were a late bloomer. They're right there for you. You can also check out our brand new Bible plan on the UVersion Bible app. It's called Matthew Healing in His Presence. We launched that as part of UVersion Bible App's 30 Days in the Bible initiative. And I think you'll enjoy it because it is a study of the healing accounts in the book of Matthew. And it even has an audio conversation podcast that goes along with it, which might end up in this podcast one day too. So you'll have to check it out early. And also, if you have been wanting to listen more to the Word of God, we have another podcast. It is Healing Strong's Around the Word in 80 Days. So this is different than the one that I host. It is people from our Healing Strong community that are reading God's Word from around the world. And many of them are cancer thrivers. And it's just really sweet. You can read along with them or you can just listen to them. But I promise you, you will be encouraged by hearing them. Before I go, I want to give you a little homework this holiday season. Go and read Luke chapter one. And this is for anybody that needs some encouragement who has been waiting on God for a very long time, for a promise, for a loved one that hasn't come back, for a baby, for a spouse, for a healing, you name it. Many of us are waiting on something. It's the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth. These were two people that were advanced in age and yet they didn't have a child. And back in those days, if you didn't have a kid, especially if you were a woman, you were disgraced. It was people looked down on you. And so I want you to go back and read their story, read everything that happens to them, and then see how the Lord fulfills that promise in a very cool way. Spoiler alert, Zechariah and Elizabeth become parents. They are the parents of John the Baptist himself. And I love this verse right here. This is when uh Elizabeth uh is about five months pregnant. And again, she's advanced in age, so that's the kind way of saying she's old, y'all. She's real old. But anyway, it says in Luke chapter 1, verses 25, The Lord has done this for me, she said, in these days he has shown his favor and taken away my disgrace among the people. And I just feel like there might be some people out there listening that are just waiting on God to do that one thing for them. And I want you to be encouraged by the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth. And by the way, Elizabeth was cousins with Mary, the mother of Jesus. In fact, out of God's amazing grace, she was pregnant when Mary later became pregnant, and they got to be pregnant at the same time for a little bit and encourage each other. How awesome is God! So if you're waiting on something and it's a very, very long time, just be encouraged that God sees you, He knows what you're going through, He knows how obedient that you have been, and He is a God who keeps His promises. So I hope that you are encouraged by their story in your wait. Until next time, remember faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
