When life’s heat intensifies and escape feels impossible, we turn to Daniel 3, Romans 8:28, and Isaiah 41:10 to discover what courage looks like amid real flames and uncertain outcomes. By shifting focus from a worldly “little k” king to the sovereign “Capital K” King, we release the need for approval and open ourselves to God’s perfect timing and promotion. Ultimately, we offer a heartfelt invitation to know Jesus—the steadfast Rock and King of kings who stands with us in the fire—providing practical courage, biblical grounding, and a community ready to walk alongside you.

God says it over and over in the Old Testament. Do not be afraid. Be strong and courageous. He says, do not be afraid. He is the one that's going to fight the battle.

Scripture Reading

Community Testimony From Sandy

Little King Vs Big King

SPEAKER_02

Hey everybody, it's Cheryl, and you're listening to Healing Strongs Around the Word. We are a group of friends sitting around the table that love God's Word and we love talking about it. Today we have our last day in the book of Daniel. We're studying Daniel chapter 3, verses 30, Romans 8:28, and Isaiah 41, verse 10. You'll hear me reading all of the scripture first and then our discussion on it. So join us around the word. Daniel 3, verse 30. Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon. And now Romans 8, verse 28. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. And finally, Isaiah 41, 10. So do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. That was our scripture reading for the day. Before we sit around the table and around the word, here's a message that touched our hearts from Sandy, one of our Healing Strong jumpstart participants. I am here to say you are the most incredible group I have found that provides love, hope, true encouragement and motivation, suggestions, a buddy system, and an ear for listening. And I'm not staying away from you anymore. Healing Strong is the ultimate cancer guide. From listening to you these Healing Strong jump start sessions, I feel a warmth, virtual hugs, a massive family, and welcoming arms. I need you all more than you need me, and I appreciate you more than you know. Thank you. Wow, what a testimony. We love hearing from people how their lives have been encouraged during their healing journeys. And this is a great one from Sandy. I hope you're encouraged by that too. Now let's see what encouragement we're gonna hear around the word. Just a couple short verses, but boy, they have a wallop for the meaning behind them. Hey, let's just read that last verse real quick.

SPEAKER_00

It's uh Daniel 3 30. The scripture says, then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon. Okay, I just noticed that the scripture says, then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon, and king is with a little K. That's the earthly king. I think it's far more important to note that the king with a capital K has definitely promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, not only in the province of Babylon, but in the presence of all the people. And that's what he'll do for us. When we do what he asks us to do, what his word tells us is the right thing to do, he will do the promoting. Don't look to the earth, earthly kings and the earthly procedures to promote you. The ideal promotion is in the promotion of our God and our king.

Amen.

SPEAKER_00

I needed to hear that one.

All Things For Good

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And then the Romans 8, um, 28, and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. He uses everything. There is nothing that happens in our life that God can't use if we let him. That's right.

SPEAKER_00

Because if we take the things that have happened to us and become bitter or confused or angry about it, then that affects the result of that promise from God. But if we trust in what that scripture says, then it will work to our good.

SPEAKER_02

What would you say is the the take the big takeaway for each of you personally uh from this study?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I'm just reminded again that that I need to have uh I need to know the truth, I need to spend time in the Word, and I need to have resolve and confidence in the Word that I do know so that when the trials come, I'll be ready to stand. And when I stand, no matter what kind of furnace it is, even if it's seven times hotter than everybody else's furnace, it doesn't matter. I'll come out without even smelling like smoke because of who is in the fire with me.

SPEAKER_01

Mine is um God says it over and over in the Old Testament. Do not be afraid, be strong and courageous. He says, do not be afraid. He is the one that's going to fight the battle.

Salvation Invitation And Prayer

SPEAKER_02

You're stealing what I'm gonna say. No, that's what he's been telling me in this whole study is to take your position, stand firm, the battle is mine, meaning God's. So all I am tasked to do, I'm not tasked to defend myself like Shadrach and Shack and Abednego. They didn't defend themselves. They just had to walk out their faith and trust God in it. And know that he is good. He is good. Not even put expectations on God. Just believe in his character and remember the what past victories he's given me and trust him in the middle of it because he's right there with me, because he says, You are mine. So um we don't like to end any of our Bible studies, um, healingstrong.org, without giving people the opportunity to know about the rock that we heard about earlier in the study, the the rock that was the mountain that that took over the entire world. It's actually Jesus. Jesus who died for your sins and my sins. Um he died for the entire world. So we want to give you that opportunity because without Jesus and his sacrifice for us, uh, we have nothing. We really have nothing. He is the king, big king of kings and the Lord, big L, Lord of Lords. Every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. So we'd like you to pray with us right now.

SPEAKER_01

Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust you as my Lord and Savior. Please help me to daily surrender to your will. In Jesus' name, amen. And if you prayed that prayer, uh, welcome.

Closing, Resources, And Next Series

SPEAKER_02

Welcome, my friend, welcome, my friend. You are a child of God. And we just want to say we're proud of you with that decision. And uh, we hope that you are encouraged if you're in a fire or you're about to come out. Just remember, God is with you and he's gonna get you through it. Wasn't this a great study of the story of these four heroes, actually? I have loved it, and I'm so glad that you've gotten to be a part of this journey with us. Just learning more about Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. We're gonna be starting up a new podcast series next week. Um, but until then, I just want to thank you for listening to us to Healing Strong's Around the Word podcast. And I hope that if you have some time, check out our community, our organization. It's healingstrong.org. If you know anyone that's going through their own uh cancer diagnosis, uh healing journey of their own, go check it out. Send them to our website and see the free resources that we have, and more importantly, the community groups that we have that gather together and encourage each other in their healing journeys. And also, we do this uh podcast out of our love for God's word and just getting the word out.
