Today on Coffee with Carly, we are diving into the energetics behind living a healthy life and why it matters just as much, if not more, than our nutrition supplements and hiit workouts. Okay, so this is the episode that I wish that I could send to everyone who is doing all the things. Okay, this is me in quotes right now. Air quotes.

0:00:48 - (Carly): You're doing all the things, but you still don't feel good. Maybe you experience chronic fatigue. Maybe you're still experiencing gut issues or you just feel off. If you experience something like that despite doing all the things, it could be something deeper. Okay. I experienced it myself. I mean, in a lot of ways. The physical burnout symptoms that I experienced, that fatigue, it wasn't from not sleeping for eight to nine hours. It wasn't from not drinking enough water.

0:01:17 - (Carly): It was because I was out of alignment. And that's why I always say burnout was actually the best thing to ever happen to me. If you're not pursuing what lights you up, if you're stuck in fear or control or trying to avoid feeling something and then secret you end up actually feeling that thing you're trying to avoid, or you're just living out of sync with who you truly are, no amount of green juice or probiotics is gonna fully unlock your potential. Okay.

0:01:44 - (Carly): And so the point here and what we're gonna share in this episode is that you can't have one without the other. When you feel good, you take action. And the link between physical health and energetic health is so important. And so that's why I'm so excited for today's guest, who is really an expert in bridging the gap between these two worlds. And so our guest is Lindsay Walker, a multi dimensional healer and founder of Soul Fam Wellness.

0:02:12 - (Carly): So we both share this love of science and soul and really here for supporting growth of the whole woman. And Lindsay is essentially a root cause practitioner, right? Not. Not just these physical symptoms, but like, what is actually causing this. So our conversation had some divine timing in my own life, and I hope it can do the same for you. Enjoy. All right, Lindsay. So I know that there's a lot that we can cover, but I really just want to begin with this moment.

0:02:46 - (Carly): So the moment where you kind of first figured out this connection between what is going on in our body, these physical symptoms, and what's happening energetically or what's actually happening a little bit deeper beneath the surface.

0:03:02 - (Lindsey): Yeah. So I really experienced this for myself. The work that I do is because I walked myself through it first and was kind of picking up different tools and modalities. So when I really started, I think the first little inkling that I started to notice there was a connection was when I had been doing so much work on my physical body. You know, the supplements, the eating, the. The laundry list of things that everyone tells you to do to be healthy, like, we don't need to go through them.

0:03:28 - (Lindsey): But I was doing all of those things and there was definitely healing happening. I was feeling better, but it was like there was just something wasn't right. There was something missing. And I was like, what is going on? And so that was where I really just dove into energy work. On the cusp of feeling like I had no other solutions left. Like, it wasn't like, oh, yeah, this is my next step in my path. Here's my 10 step plan. If plan one doesn't work, we'll go to plan B.

0:03:56 - (Lindsey): No, it was just like, I got nothing else. Like, what else, what else does the universe have for me? I literally got to the point where I was like, I will try anything. And I think as soon as I said I will try anything, this person walked into my life. My mom was already working with her and she's like, I can release emotions from your body. And I'm like, I have no idea. That means. But great, if you can make me feel better, lovely, do whatever you want. I literally never met this woman before.

0:04:21 - (Lindsey): It was all through text and calls. And when I started to realize there was more to health than the food, the supplements, the physical things, the working out was when this woman is in a different state for me. She's in Arizona, I'm in Texas. All I'm doing is texting her, telling her where I'm feeling certain sensations in my body. And she's like, okay, great, let me work on you. She's doing whatever she's doing. I literally had no idea what she was doing. I was like, I don't know. Energy, work, sure. Releasing emotions. Great.

0:04:52 - (Lindsey): And I'm feeling better. Like, I'm feeling shifts in my body. I'm starting to feel a release. There's. I'm actually like, as I'm talking, I'm like getting chills right now because it was the first experience for me to separate the physical. Like, you have to see it to work, to just starting to feel it, to quote, unquote, work. And so that was like that first little moment of someone is tapping into an energetic realm, allowing me to release heaviness, densities, energetic stuck emotions that have been really creating these blockages in my body. And it would literally just snowballed from there because I felt such a shift. If I didn't feel anything from that, I don't think I would have believed it. I don't think I would have cared there.

0:05:41 - (Lindsey): I think that connection just wouldn't have been there. But obviously I felt it in my body. I felt the healing happening, I felt the shifts happening. And this was all from energy work, really.

0:05:53 - (Carly): And this was real time. So. Right. This woman is not in the same state. And as. As she's going through in real time, you're feeling these shifts happening in your body.

0:06:04 - (Lindsey): Yeah. I mean, sometimes it would be instantaneously. She'd be like, okay, I just worked on you. Like, give it a few minutes. Like, sometimes I would notice immediately, Sometimes I would take a few minutes. We were in conversation back and forth. So it was very real time. I think I was actually teaching her a lot while she was teaching me. So it ended up being this really great symbiotic relationship to have.

0:06:25 - (Lindsey): And so, you know, there was some times where I'd be like, I feel nothing. Like, I literally felt nothing. Like, did you do anything? And she's like, okay, like, there's more. And so that would kind of be her barometer to be like, there's more. There's more layers to be worked through in this moment. There's not enough of a shift happening. And I will say now that I know more about this, depending on what's going on in your life, depending on what's going on in your energy, depending on what's going on in your energetic body, your auric field, you might feel it, like, physically right away, or there might be shifts happening in your energetic field that you may not notice in that exact moment. And it doesn't mean it's not quote, unquote, working now at the time, that's kind of the barometer I was using.

0:07:10 - (Lindsey): But now that I know more, it just sometimes takes some time for the physical to really manifest from the energetic around you. But yeah, she was with me in real time saying, like, okay, how do you feel? I just got done and this was like, back and forth.

0:07:26 - (Carly): Okay. Yeah, because I think I remember, like, I grew up with, like, my best friend's dad. He is really where I first learned about Reiki. And I have always been very like, okay, like, believe it. It's been in my life, I've been interested by this energy work, but I have never been because I haven't really been that connected to my body. If I'm like, I don't feel it, like I'm down to do it right. I'm down to do all these things, but I'm like, I don't feel it. I'll go to Reiki or I'm actually doing acupuncture right now. It's, I'm not feeling that in the moment.

0:07:58 - (Carly): So I think that is a good call out too where it doesn't have to be felt in the moment. And especially if you're maybe new or a skeptic or whatever, you know, it's like you might not feel it and that's okay. Like that's the beauty of energy work is it can be happening beneath the surface that we don't always feel.

0:08:15 - (Lindsey): Yeah. And there's two things with that that I really want to call out because that's, that's a great point because I actually am someone who does not always feel Reiki, for example. So there's two pieces of this. Let's go into the belief section first and then we'll, we'll go to the, the more woo woo frequency side in a minute. So you talked about like you're, you know, you're a skeptic. Like you don't always necessarily believe something right away. That's not bad. There's tons of people that are out there like that.

0:08:42 - (Lindsey): But there is a form of belief that has to happen. If you are someone that is completely blocking the belief of this working, of this being real, your body will energetically from your mind block you receiving anything that someone is trying to give you. Whether that's Reiki, whether that's emotional release, anything, any energetic, it's blocking your ability to receive. So your mind is very powerful.

0:09:09 - (Lindsey): So skepticism is great until it creates a wall. Skepticism is great to say, okay, I want to really make sure that this is right for me, that I resonate with this, that there's an energetic match that's great, that's keeping you safe, that's keeping you in, in, you know, keeping your body safe really in whatever form that you need. But where skepticism, I think goes too far is putting up the walls to receiving.

0:09:34 - (Lindsey): And that is entirely possible. So there's a ton of people out there who are super skeptical about all this stuff. And they're like, it doesn't work. This is total bullshit. And I'm like, well, yeah, if you think that way, you're not going to receive it. You could sit there all day and people could send you Reiki for hours and it's as if there is literally just a brick wall built on top of you and nothing's going to break through it.

0:09:56 - (Lindsey): So that's one piece. The other piece is there are so many different energetic frequencies. Reiki is just one of them. My mom happens to be attuned in something called a high. It's just another frequency. It's not bad. It's not different. I'm sorry, linear phrase. It's not better than worse than a Reiki. It is literally just a different frequency. I don't necessarily channel a specific frequency that has a name. Maybe it does and I just haven't been told the name yet.

0:10:26 - (Lindsey): But it's more of an intuitive channeling. And I channel different frequencies for different people in the healings that I do based off of the resonance and the energetic frequency that they are needing to receive at that time. So it also might be. And I have not been attuned in Reiki, so I can only speak to it from what I've received. I cannot speak to the training or the actual deep knowledge behind it.

0:10:47 - (Lindsey): But some people just don't necessarily resonate with Reiki. That might not be the energetic frequency that your body is looking for that you need. So there's one thing about, okay, just not feeling it in that exact moment. But if you're doing like 10 sessions and you're like, I literally have no change whatsoever, it's maybe just not the right frequency for you. So there's so many nuances that I just think are so important for people to understand.

0:11:14 - (Lindsey): It's not this black and white that some people really want it to be. It's energy. I mean, you can't even see it. So, you know, we've gone past the, the physical manifestation of life and into something so non physical that you cannot see that there's, there's going to be some belief behind it and very nuanced conversations.

0:11:34 - (Carly): Well, I love that's, that's actually a really great point of the different frequencies because I Right when someone is trying to, trying to get to this point where it's like, okay, Reiki isn't working and then it's like, okay, well, no disc. Don't discount all energy work because it is different. It's the different depends on the person, right? The practitioner, the frequency. But I like that it's almost like every different person you work with or whether it's acupuncture Whether it's Reiki, whether it's just a multi dimensional energy healer, they all have their own radio station.

0:12:08 - (Lindsey): Absolutely, absolutely. And if someone, even if you have two different people channeling and sending Reiki, yes, they are tapping into that same energetic frequency and thread, but because it is coming through two different vessels, it's going to be received differently. So I love that you said that. I mean, that also goes back to. Each one of us has different codes. I could say the exact same sentence as you. And the two of us are going to resonate with different people because you have certain activations and codes in your voice. And I have the same, not the same codes, but I have my own.

0:12:40 - (Lindsey): And so we can be doing the same things, saying the same things, but they're going to be felt very differently from different people. That's why there's supposed to be all these different people that are out there, you know, doing healing work of any kind. When people say, oh, the market is saturated, well, unless you have cloned yourself, which I really hope you didn't, then there is not. There's no saturation, right? Like, there's no other you.

0:13:07 - (Lindsey): And that frequency is always going to make anything you're doing your own unique energy.

0:13:14 - (Carly): That, that is a very true statement that I want everyone, I just want to say it again, is like, there is no other you. And so whether it's energy work or whatever you want to go pursue in this world, like, it's not saturated. I don't care what market what, what thing you're talking about, because, you know, there was a woman in a podcast that I listened to, Layla Martin. It's amazing. She's like a crazy, energetic sex therapist, but like turned life coach, basically.

0:13:46 - (Carly): But she interviewed. She's awesome. Highly recommend anyone go listen to her. But she talked about where she was like, there is a reason that you picked up that self help book that you picked up that podcast that you, you know, and it's like we're all speaking universal truths at some point, right? Like, I read the Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday. It's like he's studying stoicism across, like thousands of years. You know, it's all the messages are the same, but like you said, someone hearing it in my voice, with my personality, with my words, it's gonna pick up differently. It's gonna resonate.

0:14:18 - (Carly): Resonate differently. So that is. I love that you said that because that is something I think that's huge with our audience. And just with people, they're afraid to pursue something because it's saturated, but it's like, no, but you're pursuing it as you.

0:14:30 - (Lindsey): Right. And that goes back to the mindset too. Like, how powerful is your mind to tell you there's one other person doing what you do so you can't do it? No, I mean, I have been through that. Like, I've been through those beliefs. Like, so I am coming at you from a very embodied understanding of if you're this person and you're in this place. I know that feeling. I have been there. But I'm here to tell you that that's not actually true. And the more that you actually hone in on your own voice, which is also a really important thing to.

0:14:59 - (Lindsey): You're gonna find your own code, you're gonna find your own frequency, you're gonna find your own flow of how you want to do things. I think it's great to be able to learn from other people and then put your own spin, your own flavor on it.

0:15:11 - (Carly): And what are some of these? Just kind of going back to like, your first moment of with the energy healer. What are some of the physical symptoms that can help you? Right, like what, what are. What are maybe some of these common? Because I think we talk about, like, okay, my. My health. I'm. I'm at the end of my line and I'm ready to feel better. So, like, what are maybe some of the most common either things you walked yourself through or common symptoms that people come to you that maybe they don't realize that, hey, I've been struggling with this. I've been battling this a really long time.

0:15:42 - (Carly): Maybe it is time to look to energy work.

0:15:45 - (Lindsey): So the first thing I want to say in response to this is, if you are not feeling well in your body, whatever that means to you, and you have chalked it up to it being normal because your friend feels the same. Shit's not normal. Just because it's common, it is not normal. I think we have normalized so many symptoms, feeling shitty so often that people are just like, oh, that's normal. My friend has that too.

0:16:13 - (Lindsey): No, there is actually another way you can live a life and feeling like you are thriving and you are thriving. So I just want to put that out there too, because I, like, this is like my. This is my Achilles heel. When I start to hear people say, like, oh, yeah, like, you know, I just have this, like, minor stomach issue. I'm just going to take this pill for that. It'll go away. I'm like, oh, my God, you do this every day?

0:16:37 - (Lindsey): No, that's not. That's not normal. They're like, yeah, it's been happening for years. My friend has it too. Oh, I just wake up really exhausted. Oh, I just can't sleep every night. And I'm just like, guys, not normal. Like there. This is not how you have to live like that. I just want to start with that. And I would say the most common things are honestly the ones that I walked myself through that people come to me for a lot of digestive issues.

0:17:02 - (Lindsey): And that could be anything from feeling super inflamed in your intestines to just not digesting food. You know, when I say intestines, it's more of like that lower belly feeling versus like the upper belly of your stomach not digesting food. Feeling like things are just sitting there and not being absorbed. Constipation is like one of the biggest ones. And I know that we've talked about that a little bit.

0:17:24 - (Lindsey): I feel you. I feel you. And it's not. I am not a perfect human. I still have experiences of constipation, but I just look at it a lot differently now. But when we can go into that in a minute. But constipation is a huge one. For me, it was actually trouble breathing. I've found few people with this issue. It's so multi layered. Every time someone asks me, how did you heal that? I'm like, how long do you got? Because this is like not a one and done thing. But for me it was like really feeling. It was a combination of lung irritation, anxiety, heart chakra blockages. Your lungs are actually very connected to your colon. So if there's constipation going on, you can feel a lot of heaviness in your chest and in your lungs.

0:18:11 - (Lindsey): That was wild to me. Literally, if you're feeling like heaviness in your chest and then you go to the bathroom and eliminate it will literally disappear. I've had it happen so many times, I can't even make this shit up. So that was a really big one because, well, if you can't breathe, let me tell you, you will manifest some serious anxiety for not being able to take a breath. And so those are some common ones. Fatigue, just like overall exhaustion. I feel like that's just super common nowadays. Like not having energy to exist, to live, to do the things that you want to do.

0:18:43 - (Lindsey): Lack of sleep is super common. And all of these things put together is. There's just. When I think about it as a whole, there's just so much heaviness going on. Like there's so much heaviness in the body. There's so much heaviness and the energetic field and the emotional field. You're just like hanging on to so many things. And I think back to myself, I was hanging on to so many things and literally trying to juggle 500 bowls at once.

0:19:09 - (Lindsey): And it's one of those things where you just literally have to like exhale and let everything go. I talk about how like when I first started doing this work, I felt like a very hard shell of a human is like someone was literally like tapping on the outside trying to break through. And with all of those symptoms, that's really what it feels like. It feels like this just like heavy hard shell that someone's trying to open up, crack and break through.

0:19:34 - (Lindsey): And I think a lot of these shells start to happen because we're trying to protect ourselves. Whether it's some type of traumatic event that happens, whether it's just constant health issues over and over again. And you're like, when you don't understand energy work, your, your unconscious mind is actually going to start to protect yourself, but it might start to protect itself in walls. And that's where that hard shell energy can actually come about.

0:19:57 - (Lindsey): So when you have to go through and break that down, when you have a higher level of awareness, it's actually cracking that, that shell to break open an actual softer body that's been trying to hide itself out of the form of protection. So I would say those would be, those are the most common ones that I experience that a lot of people come to me. There's lots of different ones, but yeah, that's the most common.

0:20:28 - (Carly): That's the comment I'm. Most people have no idea how good they're supposed to feel. That was something when I was in grad school, like a quote that stuck with me and it was in the. More of the lens of nutrition. But, but that like you said, it's like we just get so used to settling for these things and like, and then we chalk it up to like, oh, welcome to, you know, I'm always tired. Oh, welcome to your 30s. Or welcome to this, you know, oh my gosh.

0:20:53 - (Lindsey): Tying to age.

0:20:54 - (Carly): Right? And it's like, no, no, no, no. Like you can feel amazing. Like Dr. Mark Hyman is a wonderful example and he's like a 75 year old and he's like, I feel the healthiest. I feel 35. Right. You know, and so it's just, it is easier though, sometimes it's. I think there's two things of like it's easier sometimes for us to just be like, this is normal, you know, than trying to address it or you've tried for a really long time and you're.

0:21:22 - (Carly): You're over it. Because again, I mean, as we'll. We'll dive into it right now of like, I'm literally right now so constipated. I'm so uncomfortable. And it is something that I've been battling. What I've realized is I'm prone to it my whole life. And I think that is something where it's like, again, if that's the case, there's probably something deeper than just my diet, right? My diet, my lifestyle. This is something that continuously shows up in my life. There's a reason why and.

0:21:51 - (Carly): But it can be a really frustrating journey. And so sometimes, though, it is easier when you're at the end of your rope where you're just like. Like, for me, I'm like, okay, I am a dietitian. I have gone through, like, I have an extensive knowledge of health. I do everything right. I'm like, if one more doctor just tells me to eat more fiber and drink water, and then another doctor told me that I'm over hydrating and I'm like, I'm going to lose my mind.

0:22:17 - (Carly): But it can be easier then to just be like, you know what? I have chronic constipation, then this is something I battle with. And coming back to what you said before about the mind, it's like, well, now I'm just feeding this thing. Now I'm letting my mind tell me I have a block. I have a block, you know, like, this is something I deal with. And then it just gets us stuck in this loop.

0:22:41 - (Lindsey): And then you identify with it because you latched onto this title and now it's not just something you're dealing with. This is when I see all those freaking Instagram bios and, like, they literally title themselves and, like, what they're quote, unquote disease or symptom or whatever. And I'm just like, okay, well, let's start there. Like, can we release this? Because I'm. I know that how frustrating it is feeling constipated. I have dealt with a lot of that in my life. And when, especially when you're saying, like, you've dealt with it for a long time, if it turns into something chronic that has been going on for months, for years, decades, not only was there something probably much deeper to begin with, but now, just the mere fact that it's been going on this long, there's so much energy wrapped up into it. And so that I don't say that to scare anybody, but it's just, you know, it's growing. Like you're essentially growing this energy that you probably don't want to grow.

0:23:36 - (Lindsey): And I get the frustration of feeling like I've done everything or the. Or people that I'm going to are telling me the exact same things every time. And that's really when I started to realize, because I was doing the same things too. And they're literally, yeah, telling you to add more fiber, take the same freaking supplement or whatever the normal suggestions are. And I'm like, guys, it's not working. Which is how you end up probably getting into being gaslit for how you're feeling. And that's how people end up identifying with it because they're like, I don't. I don't know what else to do.

0:24:09 - (Lindsey): And I know that feeling of like, I am at a dead end and this is it. Like, I guess I'm just going to accept it. And I think I see this. It's like they get so burnt out, and you just kind of fall into this acceptance because you're like, well, if I can't fight it anymore, I might as well accept it. And that, to me, is. I feel for the people that get to that point. Because it's like you're actually trying to love yourself and love how you're feeling and who you are because of the lack of support you've received.

0:24:42 - (Lindsey): And so that's not necessarily a bad thing to do. But what I want to tell people is that's not the only option. So especially with constipation and anything especially, that's like dealing with muscles, if you've been chronically constipated for years, decades, however long, even if it was never a physical issue to begin with, it is now physical because think about your muscles just being super tight for so long, They've actually lost the ability to contract and release as they're supposed to.

0:25:16 - (Lindsey): So now it's like when people are like, oh, you're so ridiculous. Now you're telling me that it's energetic or it's emotional. Well, sure, there is definitely that aspect. I can. I promise you there's that aspect in there. But there is going to be a physical aspect if it's been for that long. Like, if you're. If your muscles are just really tight and you never stretch, it's like they never release. That's kind of like what's happening to your colon.

0:25:40 - (Lindsey): So there is kind of like that retraining. But then also there is, you know, the emotional aspect and the energetic. And especially what I see with constipation is a lack of letting go is like the biggest thing that I see. And not only lack of letting go, it's like, coupled with feeling out of alignment in your life and, like, doing the things that you want to do. This doesn't mean trying to, like, pump out content every day, but it's just, what are the conversations that you want to be having? Who are the people you actually want to be around? What do you really want to be doing in your life? And if you're, like, pushing up against it and forcing something else, your body goes into this contraction.

0:26:19 - (Lindsey): And then you're also not allowing the stuff in your body to release physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically. And so it just kind of all gets trapped at the bottom. And it's very, very connected to the root chakra. So what's the root chakra trying to do? It's trying to find safety in your body. And the root chakra is also connected to the nervous system. So how was your nervous system really created when you were a child? It's probably watching your parents. How does it find safety if it's finding safety in this, like, contracted state?

0:26:52 - (Lindsey): And this isn't anything like, against our parents or anything. You know, this is just like how we were raised. We're supposed to. It is what it is. But there's so much energy coupled with, like, how you were raised, what type of nervous system you have. Your nervous system is now trying to find safety. How do you find safety? And then if there's so much contracting energy, what is your body going to do? It's going to do more of that. So even if you're trying to force yourself saying, let go, let go, like, I don't want it anymore. It's like, I don't feel safe doing that, you know, because it's at the same time trying to keep you safe.

0:27:23 - (Lindsey): So that's why this is such a nuanced conversation. But I love having it because it allows people to see that it's more than just, like you said, fiber and water. I will say, though, when they say the fiber and water thing, I get really annoyed at the fiber comment because that's just. I've tried to eat all the leafy greens and like, that just don't work. I mean, it could, but, like, if it's. If it's something deeper, like, yeah, just please don't.

0:27:56 - (Lindsey): I've even tried supplements there's been times where I'm like, I'm going to take all the bowel moving supplements possible, and it is like crickets down there. And there's also this need for having enough actual energy in your body. So there is a physical component. And that's why I'm so. I talk so much about minerals, but minerals in your body that you actually absorb, high quality because that's going to create the energy, the foundation in your body for your mitochondria to actually work. Because if you just throw in fiber, you just throw in supplements, you don't know what kind of fiber your body's actually absorbing. What if you're eating all these leafy greens and you're not actually absorbing it? What if you're taking these supplements and they're not the right ones, or your body's not absorbing it, or it's just not a match.

0:28:39 - (Lindsey): And if you don't actually have the energetic capacity, and when I say energetic capacity, I mean like physical energy in your body, like from the minerals. And like those are like the spark plugs to your life force energy. If you don't have that in your body, your body's not going to have enough energy to actually drain. So there's, there is a physical component, but it's not just water and fiber. It's actually more so the minerals from what I've seen.

0:29:08 - (Carly): And the right, the right kind of water, like, it's not just one, not just shitty tap water, and two, it's not just plain water like you said, it is minerals. There's coconut water, add some Celtic salt, like throw a little bit of trace minerals in there, like it's a whole thing. And I love that you mentioned mitochondria because again, also, you know, on this podcast, we love to bridge the science and the energy. And you have already done an incredible job of bridging that right of like, it's so connected.

0:29:38 - (Carly): But I love that you mentioned the mitochondria, because I am obsessed. If you haven't read this book, you'll love it. It's very sciency, the Mitochondriac Manifesto. And we forget it's all about light energy and magnetism and how it relates. Like, basically a healthy person has healthy mitochondria. So again, when for someone who's maybe a skeptic or is still kind of having a hard time leaning into the energetics, like when Lindsay says energetic capacity, that also means a healthy mitochondria, because again, we all laugh. The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, the only thing we ever learned in biology. But they actually are wildly important to our health and our longevity and our livelihood.

0:30:22 - (Carly): So I love that you said that too. Of like, it is, it's not just water, the importance of the quality of our water.

0:30:30 - (Lindsey): And.

0:30:31 - (Carly): And when we do talk about energetic capacity, it is doing the things that are supporting our mitochondria and the physical side of it.

0:30:39 - (Lindsey): Yeah, absolutely. Even when I'm doing energy work. And energy work to me is like whether I'm leading a session or whether I'm leading, you know, energy, energy healing session, breathwork session, even podcasting, like, I'm really tapping into, like, my intuitive channel to bring forth the messages that are here. And so any type of energy work that I'm doing, like, I have to have enough energy in my body to do it or I'm going to get a massive headache afterwards. So I also see a lot of these people that are doing energy work healings, and their body is breaking down because they have no idea how to support it. And it starts with that foundation of the mitochondria. It starts with having enough food, but nutritious, nutrient dense food. You know, like you said, the right filtered water, structured if you can, putting the minerals in your water, not just the table of salt that you found at the store, you know, at the restaurant.

0:31:29 - (Lindsey): So that's why I kind of. I go back and forth so much between the physical, the energetic, the emotional, the spiritual, because it is also connected. And I watch people try and just pick up like one leg of the stool and they wonder why they keep falling over. I tried to do that too. I tried to go into all physical and it just didn't feel like it was it. I did the same thing with the emotional, the energetic, the spiritual. And every time I would go all into one, I felt like the table was falling. Yeah. Because I left out all the other legs of the table and I just tipped over.

0:32:03 - (Lindsey): Once I brought everything together, that's when it felt like it was an actual stable foundational system to run on for myself. And then also how I support clients, because just telling someone to take a certain supplement like that might do it, that might be supportive. And sometimes those are what people need. But at the same time, if they're hating their job and hating their life and in total out of alignment in their life with their soul's path, that supplement is not going to do shit.

0:32:33 - (Lindsey): Versus if you are in total alignment with your soul's highest path. You are loving your life, you are living your life. To the fullest. You love working whatever you're doing. You love being alive every single day, but you don't have the energy to actually do it. Then there's something going on physically that you actually have to pay attention to. You cannot just channel love and light all day and expect to be a thriving human. Like, it's just not going to happen.

0:32:56 - (Lindsey): And I've seen both people really fall because they're missing the other side.

0:33:02 - (Carly): Everything is connected. And I actually just had a podcast episode on this about that spiritual trap. It's like, when we go all in in these areas, especially for, again, a lot of my listeners, like high achievers, type A, it's like you're actually just kind of replacing, especially with constipation. Right. For talking about that. Like, the control. It's like, okay, well, now I'm not gonna, like, go dance, or I'm not gonna drink or I'm not gonna party or I'm not gonna whatever. And it's like, now I'm gonna meditate every day, and I'm gonna read, and I'm gonna be sober, and I'm gonna journal. And it's like, are you just creating another prison for yourself? Another box that's just disguised as something that's more socially acceptable?

0:33:38 - (Carly): Like, it's about balance for everyone. Like, you. And I love that analogy that you use about the stools. Like, it is about balance because we can't just focus on one. And it's like we're just going from one box to the next. Right. And just putting ourselves in these little prisons disguised as healing.

0:33:55 - (Lindsey): Right.

0:33:56 - (Carly): It's all connected.

0:33:57 - (Lindsey): Yeah. No, it really is. And that control piece is. Is big. I think I'm someone that's still kind of working on it. And you almost, like, when you kind of see that in one aspect of your life and you witness it and you have that awareness, if you don't actually go into the deeper understanding of what it's trying to tell you, you're just gonna manifest it and, like, shift it over here. I definitely think that I've done that a few times where I'm like, oh, this isn't an alignment anymore. You know, Let me just, like, leave that situation.

0:34:24 - (Lindsey): Lo and behold, like, a couple months later, the exact same pattern manifests in a different situation. And I'm like, what the heck is going on?

0:34:32 - (Carly): Oh, right.

0:34:33 - (Lindsey): Remember that time that you just kind of, like, dipped out because you didn't want to go into it? Great. Well, now you got to learn it over here. And now it's probably 10 times more uncomfortable because it's just gaining momentum and gaining energy. So, I mean, it's just part of the dance and the journey of life. And it's just. It's really looking. What I've learned is it's really looking at yourself even deeper, even more. Like, who really is the you in the mirror? Not the one that, you know, even everyone says you are or that you want to be or that you think you are, that your mind is telling you, like, how honest can you actually get with yourself?

0:35:11 - (Carly): And I. That's a really wonderful reminder, too, of, like, as people, as someone, you know, because a lot, again, a lot of listeners right now, they're in, like, a messy middle or they want to do a change or they want to do something. And a lot of people think it's like, I have to be healed first before I move. But as you're saying, I think that's actually the beauty. And I'm. I'm smack dab in the middle of this right now. Like, to give anyone else to feel better about themselves. Like, I let go of a lot of things in burnout, you know, with my old job, and now I'm starting this.

0:35:43 - (Carly): This very new, you know, crazy journey of entrepreneurship, of, you know, doing all these things. And I. And I'm experiencing chronic constipation still. Like, there's these. And. But. But I will say that I'm glad I'm doing it because it's allowing me to recognize, okay, I changed my environment. I've done the nervous system. I've done these. These other healing paths. You know, like, I'm getting my eyes in the sun. I'm doing those walks. I'm doing these things. And so now it's like, in order to actually keep healing myself, I have to move.

0:36:16 - (Carly): Like, I couldn't just doing nothing for, you know, I needed that right when I left. But it's like, you don't need more rest all the time. Eventually, like we do in the beginning, right? Like, last year when I first left, I was like, I don't even know what way is up. Like, I need to chill. That's real. But eventually, if it's been a decent amount of time and you're like, okay, I'm resting. I'm doing the. It's like, then maybe it's time to move. It is time to do that scary thing. It is time to take that leap, apply for the new job, move, buy the plane ticket, whatever it is.

0:36:48 - (Carly): And then that's actually when you can find support in Your next back pocket, right? Go live life and have someone like you, like me, someone where it's like this, then let's go do those things. Because our body is then going to bring up these scary things, these old habits. But, like, that's how we're going to actually bring these things to the surface and then finally eradicate them for good.

0:37:10 - (Lindsey): Yeah. And I actually think that you can heal yourself while living. Like you said, you don't have to be this quote unquote healed person before you actually go out and enjoy and live life. I'm all about creating alignment in your life, in your body. And really, when I think of the word alignment, because I think sometimes it can have this very like rigid, literally align kind of feeling. But if I tap into more of like the energy of it, it's really more of just that, like intuitive listening to your soul and making decisions based off of deep desires. It doesn't have to be logical, it doesn't have to make sense.

0:37:45 - (Lindsey): But what are those deep desires that are leading you to something that you don't actually know where you're, where it's taking you or where you're going. And being in alignment is actually going to allow your body to move and flow and function optimally and so on the path to finding your soul's purpose, discovering your soul's purpose, really living the life that you desire. You're actually going to heal a lot of things in your body if you're someone that's also dealing with a lot of chronic health issues.

0:38:18 - (Lindsey): And I think that I actually remember for myself, I did not have that thought process going into it. I remember specifically because I felt so miserable in my body. And I also didn't love my job at the time, which I was a software developer for seven years. And I was like, okay, cool. So I'm just going to focus on my health and heal all of this. Like we're just going to be totally healed and then I'll come deal with this whole job situation that's going on.

0:38:43 - (Lindsey): And I was like trying to, you know, put things in boxes that didn't really go so well because literally as I was working with someone, I was working with a few root cause practitioners and they were doing muscle testing and they did like a little bit of emotional work. And I remember this one of the girls saying, she's like, do you like your job? I was like, not really anymore. No. She's like, yeah, you need a change. It's coming up in your muscle testing, like in your health.

0:39:09 - (Lindsey): It's impacting your health.

0:39:11 - (Carly): And I was like, damn it.

0:39:12 - (Lindsey): I was trying to, like, you know, separate these things and think, oh, let me just heal this, and then I'll go deal with this. So if you are someone that's trying to do that, it doesn't work out so well. You can attempt to keep your life in boxes, and I have tried that many times. And lo and behold, everything has just gotten spread out together and mixed around, and now it's a fun, messy life. But that actually feels more in alignment. That feels better than trying to be one person over here and one person over here and one person to this friend and one person to that friend.

0:39:44 - (Lindsey): And. Okay, did I. Did I fix the health stuff? Cool. Let me go look at the rest of my life. No Zacka work. And especially when I'm working with clients. And, you know, I do supplement protocols as well, because I think there is definitely a benefit and a need very in a time and a place with energetic resonance. However, I actually start with the energy work and the emotional work first, because if we shift your energetic body and shift your emotional state, you will actually not need most of those supplements that you would originally test for.

0:40:21 - (Lindsey): So that also just speaks to how much you can shift and change and heal your life by living and whatever that means for you.

0:40:31 - (Carly): I love that. And I think that's probably a great place to end. Right? The best way that we can heal is to go live our life and then again, like, let life happen. Let life come up when it is, go find support, go find a mentor. Even if it's. I mean, who knows? Maybe it's just takes one session with Lindsay. You know, it's. But it's by living your life, and it can be easy to just swing. It's. Balance is hard. You know, it really. We think it's easy, but.

0:41:03 - (Carly): And we think that once we also find balance, that it stays there. And it's like, no, it. It's. That's what we're working for, right? Like, we are going to live our life and find balance in it, but a lot. A lot of times we end up swinging, you know, one end of the pendulum to the other. So I love that reminder, and I think that's a really great place to end. But before we do that, I want you to just share a little bit more about your business. There's going to be some teachings and, you know, knowledge involved, but this is really an opportunity for you to experience and receive healings, activations, breath work, just the light codes that I have really experienced and embodied in the energy of grounding. And this is way past grounding in the grass, grounding in the dirt, I love that. But I have gotten so many people saying, I want to be in my body, I want to ground, but I don't feel safe in my body. So this is going to be an experience for you to feel safe in your body.
