Ever feel like you're hitting rock bottom just so you can finally see what's not working anymore? Saaaaame.

We're in what astrologers call a "threshold year," literally standing in the doorway between the old way of doing things and a completely new paradigm. And if you've been feeling the heaviness, the overwhelm, or like systems are crumbling around you (work, relationships, health), you're not imagining it.

In this episode, I sit down with Elise Hebert, an astrological counselor with a PhD in somatic depth psychology, to talk about what the hell is actually happening right now, and more importantly, how to navigate it without burning out.

We talk about:

  • The Year of the Fire Horse and why 2026 is moving FAST
  • The Age of Aquarius and humanity's evolutionary leap
  • Why we're seeing the "height of darkness" before the shift
  • Saturn conjunct Neptune at 0° Aries (aka the biggest astrological event of our lifetimes)
  • How inner work is the most revolutionary thing you can do right now
  • Practical ways to stay grounded when everything feels chaotic: cycle syncing, nervous system regulation, getting back into your body
  • Why "getting your weird on" is your assignment this year
  • The connection between fear, the subconscious, and your body keeping the score
  • How Chiron moving into Taurus in June brings focus back to the body (perfect timing)

Here's the thing: you can't bypass the body. Whether you're into astrology, human design, or just trying to feel less exhausted, it all comes back to the same place. Your health is the foundation. Your body is the portal. And managing your energy (not your time) is how you actually move through this year with some semblance of sanity.

If you've been feeling called to quit your job, start that weird thing, or just permission to stop "shoulding" on yourself,  this episode is your sign.

0:00:00 - (Carly): Foreign. Welcome to Coffee with Carly, your weekly wake up call to a happier, healthier life. I'm your host, Carly Shade, and I'm here to uncover how good life can get. I am so, so, so excited for today's guest. I said so a bunch because not only am I because of who today's guest is, but also because Matt and I have like two jars of coffee and one of them is decaf and one of them is regular. Somehow we switched the lids.

0:00:43 - (Carly): I now know this retroactively and I accidentally had a full cup of regular coffee, which is not my jam anymore. So again, I'm particularly wired. I think this has happened not the first time, so I really need to get this dialed in. But that's the energy that's coming through this microphone right now, and it is a little bit aligned with today's episode. Today's guest because there is a lot happening in our world.

0:01:10 - (Carly): A lot of heavy stuff, a lot of good stuff, a lot of changes. AI war, violence, you know, big stuff, but also individual things like people quitting their job, having a shorter tolerance for things that just aren't good for us and don't make us feel good. And whether you're a big astrology gal, human person or not, you've probably heard about the upcoming Lunar New Year, which marks the shift from the year of the Wood Snake to the year of the Fire Horse.

0:01:44 - (Carly): So this is happening February 17th, which is why I really wanted to get today's podcast episode out for you guys. And this shift from, from the Wood Snake to the Fire Horse is a really big shift. We are entering a very fast year. And that's why I also purposely sought out this guest for today. Today's guest. This is a woman who is literally the definition of science meets soul. Okay? Her name is Elise Abair and she is an astrological counselor with a PhD in somatic depth psychology.

0:02:21 - (Carly): So her work integrates this depth psychology and astrology to support insight, growth and self understanding in people. So her work includes offering personalized chart presentations and psych K, which she kind of talks about to help clients work with subconscious patterns in grounded, practical ways. She also happened to be born in the Middle east and she values culture and connection and meaningful conversation and of course, humor.

0:02:55 - (Carly): So this is a perfect guest for coffee with Carly. And I hope that today's episode is enlightening and can maybe put into words what a lot of you have been feeling for the past year or even years and gain some insights on how to take advantage of this next year. This shift this fast energy while also staying grounded. Enjoy. Welcome. Welcome to Coffee with Carly Elise or Dr. Elise.

0:03:26 - (Elise): Dr. Elise. That's very sweet. You can call me Elise.

0:03:30 - (Carly): Well, welcome to the show, Elise. How are you?

0:03:32 - (Elise): I'm doing great. I'm so thrilled to be on here. It's such an honor for you to invite me.

0:03:38 - (Carly): Oh, of course. I. Yeah. So I guess for everyone. It's funny, I got to hear you speak at a recent networking event. Was that like two weeks ago? Something like that, yeah. Actually put on by your daughter Anna, who I just had on the podcast a few weeks ago. So I'm loving this family affair. And you were, you know, looking to get on podcast, and during the. The speech, I was actually about to shout like, I got you, but I didn't want to interrupt. So I'm so excited to have you.

0:04:06 - (Elise): I am so thrilled to be here because as I told you, I get so obsessed and excited about the letting people know what in the heck is going on right now and how to move through it, how to navigate it.

0:04:19 - (Carly): Yeah. I mean, for personal reasons, like, selfishly, I was like, yes, please, come on this podcast. Maybe I'll walk away with some insights. So.

0:04:26 - (Elise): Right.

0:04:26 - (Carly): For before we dive into all that. Right. I'm so excited to have an expert to share what. And maybe put into words what a lot of us are feeling. But even before that, what the heck is depth psychology? An astrological counselor. Give us a little synopsis.

0:04:44 - (Elise): Super good question. So depth psychology. D, E, P, T, H. People often go deaf. Psychology. No, depth psychology. Everybody now has heard of Carl Jung, that, that his name is sort of floating around, but depth psychology began with Freud, but we kind of think about Jung nowadays because he sort of. He was a mystic. So a lot of people really enjoy his way of looking at the psyche, the whole person. And depth psychology is all about the fact that we have an unconscious.

0:05:24 - (Elise): Right. And that unconscious, sometimes referred to as the subconscious, is really where all the beliefs, maybe all the traumas, all the. Everything is stored. And we actually think that we make decisions with our conscious mind when science tells us actually we use our conscious mind to make a decision. 5% comes from the conscious mind. 95% comes from the depths where all the stuff's buried.

0:05:53 - (Carly): Okay.

0:05:54 - (Elise): So depth psychology is all about. I like to think of this visual. Sometimes we take all that stuff and we're like, ah, don't want to see it. Let me shove it down and put this super heavy manhole cover over it. That should do it. And so depth psychology is about, let's slowly move the manhole cover away, let those things up, and then let the unconscious and what's in there become conscious, come into a relationship with the conscious mind, leading to greater wholeness.

0:06:28 - (Carly): Amazing. Okay. I really like that visual because I think we do talk about subconscious and all these things so much, but what does that really look like? That's a great visual. Okay.

0:06:39 - (Elise): Yeah. So as you heard in the talk, was on my way to becoming a psychotherapist, but it just didn't feel aligned for me. And so I had been studying this super deep form of astrology for, at that point, maybe like 10 years or eight years or something. And as I said, I used it for my own growth to help raise my children in relationships. And it's never wrong. So it was just fabulous to have that. And so then once I decided I wasn't going to be a therapist anymore, I was like, do I dare call myself an astrological counselor?

0:07:18 - (Elise): Because I didn't want to be called an astrologer because my deep interest is in the counseling part. So even though it's not psychotherapy, I am really interested in helping people, like break the chains, you know, that bind them and to just become more free and experience more joy or really just freedom, whatever that looks like for you. So I coined that term astrological counselor, because that's what I wanted to be. And I'll add, I'm a double Aquarius.

0:07:52 - (Elise): So with Aquarius, you just have to be your unique avant garde self. And so that decision really helped me step into who I really am. And I just, every time I get off with a client, I'm just like, oh, that was amazing. So I use a person's astrology chart, okay, Their information, and I create the chart and I take a look at it, and then I send them a very detailed questionnaire because I want to know, like, what's happening in your life?

0:08:21 - (Elise): Where are you bumping up against things? What are your dreams that aren't coming true? And so I use that, and then I create this keynote presentation which is like PowerPoint and nobody else I know does it because it takes a lot of time. But I'm also a triple Earth, so I want everything to be super practical, right? I don't want people to have a reading and then stick it in a drawer and say, well, that was cool, but I don't know what to do with that.

0:08:47 - (Elise): So I make it really practical so you can have like a, like a guide or a manual to your blueprint. And so that's, that's how the astrological counseling works and some clients see me weekly, some, you know, monthly or biannually or annually, just however often because there are always different things happening for you. So it's kind of like getting clued in what's, what's up for me this year, what am I being asked?

0:09:15 - (Carly): So that's incredible. And it's like it. What I think is so important about what you do is, is exactly what you said is like you make it tangible. Because I think it can be really easy to get swept up in like reading Instagram memes or what's going on in the world. But it's like, what, what does it mean for you? And I want to add just this note, I think for listeners, because even myself, who really does, you know, I think like science meets soul, right? I have gotten deep into human design over the last year and I was. Or a coup.

0:09:52 - (Carly): I was really surprised. I didn't know how in depth astrology is, you know, and I think a lot of us just associate the month that we were born, right? I'm a Leo, which is our sun sign. But there I just, you know, I think I did chatgpt astrology reading once, but just to, just to realize it is so unique to that person, it is so individual. So how can you speak to just, you know, a 60 second astrology reading chart? What does that look like?

0:10:23 - (Elise): Well, that sun sign is one of six personal signs. So you can. The six personal signs kind of make up who you are. And what's really interesting about them is that, you know, the sun is sort of your fuel. Mercury is how you communicate and perceive the world. Venus, if you're born in a female body, would be your intention, whatever the sign is for your intention for being a woman. And then there's your masculine inner masculine. And what you might be attracted to on the outside again, for someone born in a female body, there's your ascendant, your rising sign. That's what you're here to master.

0:11:04 - (Elise): Like that's a big deal. And, and then there's your moon. And in my paradigm, the moon is like what you came in as an expert in already, which is great, but we always say like do your moon a third of the time because you got the rest of this chart to live into. And so I can tell some really cool things, like you might be attracted to this kind of person, but what is sustainable for you in a long term relationship could be different.

0:11:36 - (Elise): And then in your area of work, for example, like what's going to keep you clicking along at work or what your creative contribution is and are you aligned with that? And all these things, Carly, are just buckets of possibility. That's what this blueprint is. It's like buckets of possibility. I tell you what they are and then you decide, oh, hey, I think I'll try to live into that. And the idea is that your life then feels more harmonious, more in alignment.

0:12:08 - (Carly): That is a great explanation of not only astrology, but alignment. Again, I think sometimes when I enter these worlds of astrology and subconscious and all these things, like we always say, like, I'm trying to live in alignment. And that's never really been in my vocabulary for a long time. And it felt very too woo woo to me, almost like, does that feel aligned? Right. But that. I like that explanation. Right. Where it's not. It's a bucket of possibility and you are still in control of your life, of your destiny, of all the, you know, how it all plays out. But it's like bumpers, right. It's just kind of. It's giving you a direction to flow in where things just feel a little bit easier.

0:12:53 - (Elise): Right, right. And then also in the chart, for those who know about this, there are things called natal aspects, and I just call them projects. So to make it easier for a client. But those projects are the life lessons you came here to learn. So oftentimes when somebody writes me to me in the questionnaire and they're saying, I struggle with this, I can see that. And then I know what they need to do and to try to be. To move through that.

0:13:22 - (Elise): That's the part that excites me the most, is like moving through it, working with it, you know, not just a one and done and in the drawer.

0:13:32 - (Carly): Yeah, yeah, so. So that's. That's a little bit about the individual, right. That you do kind of the individual counseling. What's the design? Yeah, but I know you mentioned this at the event and just kind of again in the beginning, this collective energy, the collective subconscious even. I don't know if that's right or. But I think you even called it the Age of the Aquarius. Right. So what. What is happening right now? What is the Age of Aquarius? What are we maybe all feeling and don't know what the heck's going on.

0:14:03 - (Elise): Yeah, well, the yogis had these. They have like an outline or a prediction of. Of time and that humanity goes through cycles of time. And we're in a huge transition right now because we have just left, even though it doesn't seem like it a Dark Age we are, but at the end of the Dark Age, we're in the transition period before we move to the new Age. In the transition period, at the end of a Dark Age, we get to see the height of violence, the height of greed, the height of materialism, and what that. The. The purpose of that, and I think we're all feeling that right now in this country especially, is that there are things going on in the areas that I just mentioned where we're like, no, no, we don't.

0:15:01 - (Elise): What? No, like seeing the folly of how we have been as humans, thinking that we can work things out via war or. Or just violence. The materialism we see everywhere, the inequities. The Age of Aquarius is where we're moving, which is a revolutionary time. It's power to the people. It's equality for all. It's a humanitarian energy. So all of us right now, humanity is in an evolutionary leap. And so we're being asked to take a look at all of those things within ourselves and to transform those.

0:15:46 - (Elise): Because inner work is not selfish. Inner work is like a pebble that you throw in a lake. And then all the ripple effect affects the rest of the collective. And that's actually partly how we're going to move to this new age. And this year, 2026 is what I refer to as a threshold year. If we're in a doorway, you know, and we're on this side of the doorway that we've been in for thousands of years, we're being asked to step over the threshold into a new way of being in a new way of doing things.

0:16:24 - (Elise): So hopefully that's a little explanation about where we are and where we're going.

0:16:30 - (Carly): Okay, so it's almost like the. This maybe is going to sound really grim, but it's like we. We have to hit rock bottom, right? It's kind of like we're. We're at the end where we need to really see the worst of it to. To know that we don't want it to be like this anymore.

0:16:47 - (Elise): That's exactly right. And we also need to see where we're doing that within ourselves. None of us want to admit that. Right. Or where do we turn away when there's something dark that we don't want to see? That's natural, because it's just like, oh, I don't want to be with that. But those are creations that have been hanging out in the darkness, just doing their thing, and now they're starting to come up from above for us, from below to the above for us to see and be like. And, and, and, and really turn our eyes to it and be like, oh, wow, no, I don't want that.

0:17:25 - (Elise): And where do I do that? Within myself. And how can I switch that?

0:17:31 - (Carly): Yeah, because you, you mentioned. So I want to pull on this thread a little bit because you mentioned that, right? That's kind of what's happening in the collective, right? We're all feeling it, this darkness, this heaviness. And you mentioned though, the inner work, right, that we can do this within ourselves. So what one, like what, what does the inner work really mean? But also, so what, what practically can people do? Because I think right now it's, it is heavy and people are trying to do their part. But there are a lot of people that's also what do I do, right? How do I, how do I help? How do I contribute? How do I feel better? Like, what does this mean to me? How can I contribute?

0:18:14 - (Elise): Yeah, good question. So the inner work, I would say is taking a look at where a person, where I. I'll say I might be in fear, right? Because we've been taught as we grow up to be in fear that fear is our protector or that if I'm afraid, then I'll be secure. And actually that's a lie. That's just not true. And if people know Eckhart Tolle's work, he has the pain body or the Buddhists have the hungry ghosts.

0:18:50 - (Elise): You can imagine like a hungry ghost as fear. And fear feeds on more fear, it just gets larger. So that's kind of one thing that we can focus on. And right now, with everything that's happening, it's so easy to slip into fear. So it's like firstly recognizing when you are, because it's so natural for us to do it that that's maybe sometimes hard to catch. And then another big thing is our body and listening to our body.

0:19:24 - (Elise): And that's part of some movement in 2026 astrologically as well. But it's like this year is going to move so fast, is already moving so fast that listening to your body and the body knows, the body keeps the score. It's sort of like. And the mind can override the body. So focusing on the body is something somebody can practically do. And then also finding communities or groups or maybe just one other where you go and you can be in the realm of possibility or do inner work, like for example. So simple Meetup has so many wonderful groups that you can just go and find something that resonates with you and Then be part of a group like that.

0:20:11 - (Elise): It's just going to be so easy to fall into fear starting from now and going out into the future that that's so important, like grounding practices for the body slowing down. Because this is a super fast year. So hopefully that explains some of what you just asked.

0:20:31 - (Carly): That's perfect. And I want to talk personally of course, a little bit about what we can do. Right. Coming back to our body and our health and staying grounded. And you've mentioned this super fast year.

0:20:44 - (Elise): Yeah.

0:20:45 - (Carly): Does that have anything to do with the year of the, the fire horse, what everyone has been talking about?

0:20:51 - (Elise): Yeah, yeah. Well, they correspond. And because all of these, you know, ways of looking at where we are as humans, they're all from different paradigms, but they all match up. It's sort of like human design and astrology and Gene Keys. I mean it's just different doorways to get to the same place. So the biggest, biggest thing happening this year, which I might say is the biggest in our lifetimes, is, is where the planet Saturn is conjunct or meeting the planet Neptune at 0 degrees Aries. And 0 degrees Aries is the beginning of the zodiac. So it's like new beginnings.

0:21:39 - (Elise): So Neptune itself represents like your values, what is, what is in your heart, you know, what you truly believe in. It's got a compassionate energy to all people. So you kind of alchemize the two. Like here's Neptune and here's Saturn. So whatever dreams you have and values you have, you need to Saturn, create structures, build things that have heart. And any structures that are built without heart are going to fall apart.

0:22:19 - (Elise): So we can kind of think about that in light of our country and what's happening here and the different structures. And that can give us a little bit of hope that any structures not that aren't built with heart just aren't going to last. But on an individual level, this is, they're in Aries. And Aries is like the warrior for the cosmic order. It's about having like bravery and courage to do just that.

0:22:45 - (Elise): What do I value? What can I build? Even if it's tiny or take tiny steps, but be committed to building what you, what is in your heart. That could be like an amazing relationship. You know, if you're, if you're called to political action, it could be forming a group to go protest whatever it is. But we're all being called to act, not to avoid. And I think you were speaking about the fastness of 2026.

0:23:16 - (Elise): So a lot of the Signs are in fire and air. And those are both very quick moving. And one example of that is the planet Uranus, which is sort of the planet of like electricity, the Internet, like communication is going into the sign of Gemini. And Gemini is all about communication. It's an air sign. It moves super quickly. Like people with a lot of Gemini tend to talk really quickly. And so communication.

0:23:54 - (Elise): AI, like technological advancements, we think we're feeling it with AI now it's just really going to move by leaps and bounds. And so that we're already feeling a cognitive overload, I think people could say, just in general. And so that's just going to add to the cognitive overload. So that's why the body is so important in your work and what you do with helping women figure out the cycles of their body and kind of what they're putting into the body.

0:24:30 - (Elise): I'm always so shocked that people don't make that connection about how you physically feel might have a lot to do with what you actually put into your body. And so that's, that's an important element of slowing down. And like, oh my gosh, what does my precious body say? And what does it need?

0:24:53 - (Carly): Yeah, right. What it's always talking to you. Okay, yes, this is. I like what you said about the. All of these different doorways, but it leads to the same place because. Yeah, right. I've heard a lot about the Year of the Fire Horse and it's very. The fast moving energy, same thing of what you talked about. And my aunt is really into the zodiacs and so she got me this book, how to prepare for the Year of the Fire Horse kind of feng shui.

0:25:20 - (Carly): And so, you know, Feng shui is all about designing furniture, colors, rooms based on the flow of qi or energy to best harmonize, you know, create harmony and balance. And these, the flow of chi moves through nine areas in our life, right? Like purpose, relationship, health, family, all of that. And at the center of these nine areas is health and wellness. Because if that is not a solid foundation, it will block the flow of qi to every other area of your life.

0:25:58 - (Carly): So I love this parallel where we can really bring it back to. I mean, like you said, AI is going to get even crazier, right? And yeah, we are, we're feeling overwhelmed, we're feeling really heady, right. We're all kind of living in our brains and things are moving so quickly. And so I like this practical application where if, if we don't focus on our health, it is going to prevent us from moving in Any other aspect of our life.

0:26:29 - (Carly): And so for those who are wondering, like, what, what can I do? How can I, you know, let go of control a little bit of whatever this year is going to bring, but also stay grounded. And I think coming back to the body, right, it's like, if you don't know what I think a lot of us are feeling a little lost. I have a lot of friends that have left, jobs, started over. Like you said, systems, things without heart are falling away.

0:26:53 - (Carly): But that can also be really scary. Right. We're in this really scary time. So I want this to be a practical takeaway for people if. If you don't know what to do right now, tomorrow, in the next month.

0:27:07 - (Elise): Yeah.

0:27:07 - (Carly): If you focus on your health, if you focus on how can I get back into my body. Right. That is absolutely the best starting point. Everything else will start to line up. Right. Start to reveal themselves because all of a sudden the energy can flow back to those areas. So I love that as that practical, like you said, the body keeps the score and is absolutely the portal into this next year.

0:27:33 - (Elise): Yeah. And I wanted to add that the inner work that we were talking about, like, you know, kind of clearing out the fear, clearing out the blocks, just, that does allow your energy to flow the Qi. Right. Because it's not bumping up into things. And we also, like Richard Rudd, who wrote the Gene Keys, you know, predicts that our bodies just are going to become lighter and less dense and need less food.

0:28:02 - (Elise): So again, in order to. To kind of move in that direction, we need to treat the body well. And I know this might be controversial, but drinking alcohol poisons the body. And I know that's really hard. And there are more and more alternatives now, noting that there's a lot more younger people that are coming around to that. So that's something for sure. And then just obviously the food that you're putting in your body, grounding practices, you know, and getting out in nature when it gets warmer and having your bare feet on the earth or lying in the grass, people developing spiritual practices daily, whatever that is. Right. That could be being in nature, just box breathing or regular yoga and just like getting in touch with your. If you go to yoga, like those communities, because they're all about the body.

0:29:06 - (Elise): And one thing I want to add is that Chiron is going to move into Taurus in June. And Taurus is all about the body. It's all about slowing down and being present. And so when Chiron moves into something, we. We often kind of like get to see where are the wounds? Right? And wounds around Taurus would be like, I don't feel enough or I feel a lack of security, scarcity, consciousness. These are all like the shadow of Taurus.

0:29:44 - (Elise): And so I love that this is being brought in in the middle of this really super fast year, which is this encouragement to really get grounded in the body. I don't know, do you have other things that you would add?

0:29:59 - (Carly): Well, you know, I mean you covered a lot of them and I think the, the two parts is one that why for. Especially for women? For me, you know, my journey, my burnout story was I was living so fast paced, right? I always say, like I grew up, you know, learning to live like a man, right? So many women who burn out. That's what it is. We've been taught how to hustle, succeed and all of that very linear man model. The whole system has been built around male biology.

0:30:28 - (Carly): And so I didn't, I knew in my head I needed to slow down, I needed to connect with my body. I literally wrote on my notes when I first left my job, like, heal your nervous system, slow down. And I also wrote, remember who the fuck you are, right? We can, we can, we know that we need to do these things, but it can be really hard to, to then practically do it. So that's why two practices that you mentioned, cycle syncing. And I think in my last podcast episode I actually said we're gonna maybe just call this hormone health.

0:31:04 - (Carly): Because I think people think cycle syncing is very scientific and very tracking oriented. But for me it was the opposite. It was a science backed permission slip that led me back to my body. Because I think simply having an awareness around how your body actually works can be life changing for women to reconnect to it. It's like they, right, we're all connected to our bodies. Man, woman, right? But cycle syncing, learning about your hormones finally puts, just like this podcast episode finally puts language, words to, to patterns that women have already always been feeling in their body, right? So that would be one of my practical applications for women is just to start tracking your cycle, just noticing what day am I on?

0:31:58 - (Carly): You know, maybe use. You can use one of my free tools of like, okay, what day, what phase does that put me in, right? What, you know, what kind of energy do I have? Like my, my NSYNC girls, the group that we just had their homework for the whole time, five weeks, was just wake up, write down the day of your cycle, what phase does that mean? And a body check in, right? What's My energy level. Right. How do I feel?

0:32:22 - (Carly): And so just simple practices like that of just letting your body know that you're willing to listen.

0:32:29 - (Elise): Yeah.

0:32:29 - (Carly): Can be life changing.

0:32:31 - (Elise): I loved your, I listened to maybe your last podcast or the one before where you were like, let me simplify this for you ladies. And you just simply went through like your day and what you might eat or not eat and it was, it made it so easy and like simple to follow. And yeah. There was another question that you had there. Or we were just on. Yeah. Body based things and listening to the body and how we might do that.

0:33:01 - (Carly): Yeah. I mean the, the way that we are going to feel ground and you know, this actually might come back to even your subconscious work about fear, guilt, shame, all those things. Like I have a reel where I say guilt is a bigger hormone disruptor than sugar because women feel it everywhere. And again, I think that's why learning about our body, checking in with our body even when it doesn't make sense, that's going to be key.

0:33:29 - (Carly): Right. We. Why, you know, why am I so tired? Why am I whatever, I should have more energy. And so again, that key of not questioning how your body is feeling because your mind can be changed, your body can't. Right. So you can trust what your body is saying way more than what you can trust what your mind is saying. But we've just been taught to not trust the latter.

0:33:55 - (Elise): And that's what I wanted to add. That what you, when you were talking about when you left your job and you were just go, go, go. I mean, maybe it helps people to know that that's the programming productivity is king. No, that's not how we're supposed to live. And so knowing that that's the old paradigm and that the new paradigm includes a lot of Aquarius energy this year, which is being true to yourself.

0:34:23 - (Elise): Who am I really? What do I value in my work? What do I value in a relationship? Even if that's avant garde, eccentric and a little bit weird. We're being asked to get our weird on and to be uniquely ourselves because we've been, we've been fitting ourselves into all these scripts and one of them is productivity is King FaceTime at work. And if you're not like just grinding, then what's your worth?

0:34:56 - (Carly): What are you doing? Right. I, I love that weird. Weird is the new. Well, that's what we're.

0:35:01 - (Elise): That's good. That's.

0:35:02 - (Carly): Weirdness is the new wellness.

0:35:04 - (Elise): Exactly. Yeah.

0:35:06 - (Carly): And I, Yeah, I think that at least in my circle, right. Women are Starting to wake up, right? Whether they're leaving their jobs, things like that. But even, you know, so we touch a little on the health, right, of just practical grounding things, the cycle, syncing, tracking your cycle. Like you said, water, light, magnetism, getting your eyes in the sun, getting your feet in the grass, in the sand.

0:35:28 - (Carly): Come join me in the Puget Sound. You know, polar plunges every week. But you also mention how that's going to show up in our health, but a little bit also of our, our relationships and maybe just self expression because I think until we allow ourselves to be fully expressed and same thing for me, I mean, this journey of entrepreneurship has just been one big vulnerability project. And I feel lighter. I don't care what I look like on Instagram, I don't care that some of my early podcast episodes make absolutely no sense, right? Like I don't care anymore. I've gone through that and I feel lighter. And there's also absolutely a correlation to the fact that I also feel my healthiest.

0:36:15 - (Carly): So let's speak a little to just maybe self expression, whether it's in health or relationships and how we can, you know, allow that to amplify the energy of what this next year is going to be.

0:36:28 - (Elise): Right. And I love that you're talking about like being fully self expressed because that's been my personal journey as well. And maybe it's, it's all for women in general, I would say maybe that is true. But it, for me, it's really been a big thing. And so yeah, like back to the Aquarian energy, it's you just really checking in with yourself and seeing what, what aligns with you. And even if that's weird, I think what we consider weird right now, for example, astrology was a little weird about 10 or 15 years ago, but it's not anymore.

0:37:11 - (Elise): So. And we've seen a lot of resurgence of like old ways of doing things, old practices tried and true, connected with the earth. So even though some things may seem weird now, us getting our weird on, us being fully self expressed now is what helps us move into the new age. And might I add, you being Leo's son, we don't know the rest of your chart, but maybe you have more than just that Leo there. What Leo's job is, is to be fully self expressed, fully lit up, healthy light sort of coming from their eyes and their teeth and they're making their way through the brambles of the blocks to self love and they're just on fire.

0:38:06 - (Elise): And so you saying I don't care what I look like on Instagram. So what if this and that. People look at you. I'm getting goosebumps right now. And would say, oh, my gosh, look at Carly. If she can do it, I can do it too. And that's Leo's like, mission here. And so you're doing that. You're an inspiration for other women because you dared to quit your corporate job. You dared to say no to the productivity agenda, and you're doing what you love, and. And you're having freedom in it and making it up your own way.

0:38:43 - (Elise): That is just quintessential Leo. I had to point that out. Yeah.

0:38:47 - (Carly): So you're over here making me cry. Oh, my God. I mean, that is. Yeah. And that's. It is funny when, you know, we think about what we call ourselves, you know, astrological counselor, holistic health coach. You know, we know that no two words can really embody what we do. And so I've always kind of told people, too. I'm like, job titles, whatever. But that's for me. I'm like, I. Yeah, my mission is to feel my happiest and healthiest and then just bring as many people with me along on the journey.

0:39:21 - (Carly): So I'm like, you know, that might not fit nicely into a LinkedIn profile about me, but that's. That's what it is, right? That's the mission.

0:39:30 - (Elise): That's right. Because that's that little pebble that goes in the lake and then all these little ripples, and it's all vibrational, it's all consciousness. So you might think nobody's feeling it or whatnot, but everything is energy. So if your energy is, you know, pumping and alive and light, that's just. People are going to feel that whether they realize it or not.

0:39:57 - (Carly): And that is exactly why my. One of my things that I've learned through understanding our hormones is to manage our energy, not our time. And that's one of the biggest productivity hustle kind of scams is like, oh, we need more time. No, you need to figure out how to manage your energy. Because when your energy is on point, you are accomplishing things super quickly. Right. Instead of just that same output every day. You know, I've had I'm working this wellness block party, and I have, you know, a ton I need to do. And every night, the old part of me is like, okay, it's 8:30. I'm gonna sit down and do a little bit more work, even though I'm exhausted. And I'm like, you know what? I'm go to bed and I wake up and then all of a sudden that task that was lingering takes me 15 minutes because I chose my energy, not the time.

0:40:45 - (Elise): Totally get that. And have you ever heard the phrase, well, you know, when you hear the word should, that's a clue. But have you heard the phrase don't should on yourself?

0:40:55 - (Carly): I just recently did and I love it.

0:40:57 - (Elise): I love it too. Because it's just such a funny reminder of like, oh, I just said should to myself. Let me rethink that.

0:41:06 - (Carly): Yep. That is. Yeah, I. One of the exercises with the, the women in my instinct program was like, write the word should in big caps on your paper and then cross it out.

0:41:16 - (Elise): Yeah.

0:41:16 - (Carly): Because whether it's your health, your energy, your expression, your relationships, like just using the word should is not gonna give you that path to alignment.

0:41:26 - (Elise): That's right.

0:41:28 - (Carly): I feel like we could talk. We could talk forever. We can go with so many directions. Like you said, there's, you know, I know about human design predicted 20, 27. There's going to be this massive paradigm shift and all these overlaps. The year of the fire horse. But let's, let's bring it back to. We've talked about a lot of practical ways. I think it's pretty clear that in order to help the collective, focusing on ourself is one of the best things we can do.

0:41:58 - (Carly): And so whether that be in your health, whether that be in embracing your weird, you know, allowing yourself to be fully self expressed. Right. Not be afraid to start that thing. I will gladly go first and make a fool of myself for you guys. But what is one last piece of advice or message or something that you kind of want to share to help everyone get through this final transition? Right. This threshold that we're at?

0:42:28 - (Elise): Right. Well, I don't know if I have one, but that's okay. A little string.

0:42:33 - (Carly): Perfect.

0:42:34 - (Elise): Definitely get your weird on. Who are you really? Right. Who are you really? If you peel back all the shoulds and I should act like this, who are you really? How can you be that more secondly, that Saturn, Neptune, conjunction I talked about. What's in your heart, what do you value? You could just stay in your room all day or your house and just be like in the clouds with what you value. But we're being asked to put that into form.

0:43:06 - (Elise): Be brave, Aries. Be courageous. Put it into form. Create a meetup group about what you're passionate about. Right. Build a beautiful relationship if that's what you want. Put it into form. What is in your heart. And then thirdly, I can't say it enough. Watch out for fear. Maybe go back to Eckhart Tolles work. A movie I can highly recommend that I just rewatched is a Disney movie. Oprah and Reese Witherspoon made a movie called A Wrinkle in Time. And it's really, like, fantastical, but they do the best depiction of what fear is.

0:43:50 - (Elise): Looks like acts. And that's a great place to start to be like, what are we talking about when we say fear? Right. And so just. Just to be aware that, you know, fear isn't real. And the more you let it envelop you, the bigger it gets. And right now, we don't want fear to grow. So how can you understand that fear voice and be like, no, and then find groups and people and places that are talking about possibility, bravery, courage, being your unique self.

0:44:30 - (Elise): So that's what I would say for this year.

0:44:34 - (Carly): Oh, that's incredible. I mean, it also just kind of reminds me of the billboard sign, Bad Bunnies halftime show. Right. The only thing more powerful than hate is love. And so, yeah, while we're in this scary time, choosing love, choosing empathy, focusing on yourself, and it will serve the greater good. I love that.

0:44:53 - (Elise): Since you brought up amazing. Since you brought up Bad Bunny, I have an Instagram post that explains all this. But Bad Bunny is a symbol of the Aquarian revolutionary because. Because he dares to buck the systems. Right. He has a lot of compassion and he has an Aries energy that's like, brave. He's brave about it, and all eyes are on him in the world. So I just think if you look at kind of what he represents and what he's doing, that is an example of being Aquarian, like an Aquarian revolutionary. What we need people to step into in order to get to the new age.

0:45:38 - (Carly): Awesome. And I look forward to. So that's a good segue of if people would like to follow you work, your work. You mentioned Instagram. Where can people find you if they're interested in maybe working with you? How can people do that?

0:45:53 - (Elise): Yeah. So I have a website, and that's. Maybe you'll put that.

0:45:57 - (Carly): Yes, of course. It'll be written.

0:45:59 - (Elise): Yeah, I'd say LisaBearPhD.com and I offer astrological counseling and then also something called Psych K, which is a very simple, gentle, mental, somatic way to shift what is held in the subconscious to a more positive way of being. And then I'm on Instagram, which is the handle is the same as my website. And I just got on there recently. And I'm so excited because I just want to, you know, let people know what's going on right now and help them navigate it. Like I said earlier, because that people are needing it.

0:46:38 - (Elise): They're needing it. And your podcast is one of those things that's helping people in a lot of different areas. So congrats on that.

0:46:45 - (Carly): Well, thank you. And, yeah, we appreciate having people like you to have that expertise and share it. So, yes, all of everything will be on the show. Notes, some highlights from this episode will be on. So don't worry, you'll have some content coming for your new Instagram. And, yeah, so this has been amazing and I think coming at a really beautiful time, like, we all know, you know, February 17th, or I think in your world, it's February 20th, this shift is really coming.

0:47:13 - (Carly): So hopefully this finds all of you at the right time. And yeah, thank you so much again for being on the show.

0:47:20 - (Elise): Thank you, Carly, really. All right.

0:47:24 - (Carly): And so to everyone else, to our listeners, like a good cup of coffee, stay bold, stay balanced, and I will see you next time.

0:47:34 - (Elise): Sam.
