In Case You Wanted To Know
The Great Carbon Credits Scandal!
In this episode Jim gets into Carbon Credits and the questionable nature of how the carbon credits system works. There have been many, many documented cases where an organization appeared to have been doing the "right thing" by offsetting their pollution by purchasing "carbon credits" from another organization who are actively pursuing a healthier environment by conserving forests, planting trees, etc. The difficulty with the program however, is ensuring that those good works are actually taking place. Add to that the notion that there are hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars changing hands under the guise of doing what's "right."
pull up a chair and join the conversation and comment your thoughts below! Does the carbon credit system work? Is it truly a beneficial concept?
