As someone who posts about the realities of living with type 1 diabetes to over 100,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok, you would think Nina Joachim has always felt comfortable discussing her condition.
But for 10 years following her diagnosis at the age of 7, Nina hid her diabetes and saw it as an ‘enemy’.
Now she helps tens of thousands of people across the world on their own road to acceptance, posting aesthetic photos of her gadgets as well as the daily realities of insulin pump fails and high glucose readings.
