MISSING: Layla Santanello, TN, 2023, ft. Jennifer Santanello

I have a conversation with Jennifer Santanello, whose 20-year-old daughter, Layla Santanello, has been missing since June 27, 2023. She was last seen walking barefoot out of a patch of woods around 6:15 a.m. near the Americourt Hotel in Kingsport, Tennessee. After asking some men working at a warehouse for a cigarette, she walked away and vanished.
Jennifer has spent almost every waking moment since working to keep her daughter’s story in the media. In this episode, I talk with Jennifer about Layla’s case, the timeline of her last known movements, the positives and negatives of social media, and the unexpected costs that burden families with missing loved ones.
