Choosing a care provider for you or a loved one can be daunting to say the least. In this episode Caroline chats to Chris, the wife of Phil who had a very stressful experience securing long term care provision.
Chris and Caroline give top tips on how to choose a homecare provider. They discuss the Care Quality Commission's (CQC) role as a health and social care regulator and other ways you can appraise a care provider if their rating is aged.
Chris talks about being in a child-less relationship and how choosing the right care provider can add an extension to the family unit and how important it is that care teams get to the know both the client and their key family members and informal carers.
For more information please do contact Caroline on the contact details provided or your local authority who will be able to advise you about a care needs assessment.
