Speaker:

This is the episode I should have recorded a long time ago. It is not a strategy. It is not a sales tip. It is just my truth, okay? What I believe, what this space, what every container that I have this you here in the resource podcast community, what this space stands for and the values. Everything that I do is built on. Now, if you have ever felt like the way that you want to do business doesn't match what is being taught, this will explain why. Today I'm sharing with you what exactly it means to be an embodied entrepreneur. I don't know if you're on YouTube, you can see this. So these are my scripture statements. This is what it means for me. Everything that I teach, everything that I am all about, the different beliefs that I hold in business. This is what that means when I say we are embodied entrepreneurs. We are here to do things differently. We are here to hustle to the health of our nervous system. We are here to build a business that is deeply reflective of who we are. We are not scared of the growth. We are not scared of the, of the personal development, of the healing. When I talk about this, you are gonna understand from today's episode exactly what I mean. And as you listen in today, as you listen in, I. Engage your imagination and get a little bit curious about what it might look like, feel like, what the experience would be like in your life, in your mind, in your body, and in your business. If you chose to take on some of these statements, take on some of these statements as beliefs and take steps every day to start to embody them. So when I talk about my energetics of success, okay, so that is my core framework that underpins. Everything that I do, everything we are either in a clear code and alignment code or a leverage code. And when I talk about the alignment piece, we're talking about aligning our businesses, aligning our decisions, aligning our goals to our season of life, the health of our nervous system, uh, you know, our, our skillset, our energetic blueprint. But we're also looking at our values and we are looking at. Am I aligning to the things that I deeply, truly believe? And that's where this, this whole, this whole congruent, aligned business that, as I said, I've said before, and I'll say it again, business is not meant to be easy. In no way, shape or form is it meant to be easy, but I do believe that it can be easeful and the way that we have a more easeful, peaceful business. Is by aligning ourselves with our core beliefs, by aligning our choices, sorry, with our core values is what I meant to say there. That's how we do that. And so I encourage you to go and get clearer on what your values are. And today, as I said, I'm gonna share with you what exactly is driving everything that I do in my business. What drives the Mastermind that you hear me talk about so often? What derives the one-on-one work that I do with people? What drives the Ascension Academy? Okay. You are going to hear exactly what I believe it means to be an embodied entrepreneur and why how you build matters just as much as what you build. Now if we have not met before or if we have, welcome back. My name is Jessica Reed. I am an intuitive business mentor. I blend nervous system healing, energetic clarity, and smart aligned strategy. That is our leverage strategy. I am here for the woman who's not just here to scale, but she's here to lead. And not by overriding herself, but by actually returning to herself. I built this entire ecosystem for the woman who knows that she's here to grow, and she's not afraid of that, no matter how deeply uncomfortable it is, but she refuses to do it in a way that costs her her truth. So let's talk about what this actually means. Okay. These are the community identifiers, the beliefs that shape every conversation, every container, and every decision in this space. And not only are these beliefs built from my beliefs from what I believe is possible and what I am working every single day to embody what all of my decisions circle back to. But they have also formed from the experiences that I have had over 18 years now in entrepreneurship over working in normal regular employment. Nine to five. That's not really nine to five. That absolutely burns you out. From, from all of the experiences that I have had from the continual challenges, internal, personal, medical, all of the challenges, emotional challenges, from everything that I have been through and everything that I have experienced, this is what I have determined, creates a sustainable, successful business. Scalable, sustainable, successful business. And it starts with you. It starts with you. It doesn't start with your business plan. It doesn't start with your strategy, it starts with you. So what do I believe that an embodied entrepreneur actually is? So, first of all, our first statement, and I wanna know from you, I wanna hear from you to, I want you to come into my dms and I want you to tell me which of these. Resonates with you? Which of these are you going to go do you know what I'm going to really hold onto that? I'm gonna keep it in my focus and I'm going to take aligned steps every day. I'm gonna make aligned choices. I'm going to choose aligned beliefs and thoughts every day to make this a reality in my world. So the first one is that we are the women who refuse to abandon ourselves for success. Okay. We don't want to water ourselves down just to be more palatable or more profitable or more accepted in an industry that rewards performance over truth. Now, this is a challenging one. This is where a lot of people I meet are at in the Assumption Academy because where we are refusing to abandon ourselves, we often, or so many people that I meet, are actually scared. To be seen for who, who they truly are. So this means that you might spend a little more time, or you might have been spending a little more time lately, getting clear on your voice. Rather than just writing perfect sales copy, maybe it means that you are building a brand that actually reflects your lived experiences, your energetic blueprint, your season of life. Again, this is our alignment code. Not somebody else's version of authority and not somebody else's version of success. So we are the women. So we are entrepreneur, we are embodied entrepreneurs. We are the women who refuse to abandon ourselves for success. Okay? This means that we are not only understanding who we are at our essence, how we authentically show up. What level of visibility you are at. You can do that work inside my Ascension Academy, but we also are honoring our health, our season of life. You're going to build your business differently if you are working full-time and building business on the side. If you are parenting in early phases of childhood versus when they're a little bit more independent versus the continued, you know, afterschool, uh, activities like you are going to parent to build business differently depending on season of life, depending on where you are at, depending on what is happening for you. So, but the important thing is, is that we are not abandoning who we are. We do not come last. Okay. And we do not hide our authentic self. Now, our second statement, let's keep showing you these pictures. Our second statement, we crave alignment over achievement, depth over performance, and clarity over chaos. So let's talk about this one. We are done with checklists that leave us feeling empty. Unsatisfied. We wanna build things that actually feel like ours. Okay? And that actually means something when we say them out loud. So maybe this is why you have been resisting launching, even though you should. This is why maybe your business feels off even when it's growing. Maybe you are just not here to perform anymore. Maybe the part of you that has been trying to overachieve. To be liked, to be loved, depending on what has been conditioned inside of you from when you were little. How you learn to cope, how you learn your places in this world. We are not striving for overachievement at the cost of alignment. We are not striving for performance at the cost of depth. So maybe you are really just not here to perform anymore, and I really encourage you to get curious about what that looks like for you. So our next statement is that we are no longer here to hustle through our wounds. We are here to heal them, and that is what I believe is so powerful about the women that I work with. That is what is so powerful about my own challenges and my own experiences. We've been there, we've pushed through the burnout, we've ignored our bodies. We've called it grit and determination and and hustle, and we show up no matter what. But now we know better and we will not build success by bypassing our old wounds and our old pain anymore. Because I know I personally, oh my gosh, I have learn this. The hard way is that it will continue to bubble. It will continue to surface until I allow myself to experience it, until I can acknowledge it, feel it, heal it, deal with it, whatever it is, and learning how to create safety in that. Learning how to create safety in the emotional challenges that you are going through. In the the big scary beliefs and the old experiences and the past wounds and the past traumas, and the things that are coming up and shouting at us through our body, learning how to experience that while still running a business. That is a skill, and I want you to remember that if you are slower in this season, maybe you are less visible, maybe you are just integrating. Maybe there is something there for you to heal. Maybe we can't ignore the fact that we are having a human experience, and yet we come into our businesses and we expect ourselves to be super human and to not be impacted by all of the things that are happening in our lives. I mean, hands up. If you have a perfect life, like I do not think any of you are going to put your hand up and say, absolutely nothing is emotionally challenging for me ever. And if you do, if that is you amazing, please tell me how you do it. I am an emotional authority. I do not think that will ever be me, and maybe I am just speaking for myself here, but actually I'm not. Because when I think about all of the women who I have worked with, and I think about particularly burnout. People talk about avoiding burnout. Avoiding burnout, and yes, burnout I believe is multi, I do believe it's multilayered. I think that pieces of strategy come into it. I think that the way that we, you know what, like the business model, the strategy, the help, all of the different things in the actual doing come into it. Absolutely. It's huge contributor, but why are we doing, why did we choose that business model? Why are we not allowing for help? Why are, you know, why? How did we actually get here to be making these decisions and taking the actions and building the way that we are building that is coming from our beliefs? That is coming from unprocessed emotional challenges. Every single. Every single. And I kid you not every single entrepreneur that I have worked with who has been recovering from burnout, which by the way is not a fast process. Every one of them, their business was the tipping point. The root cause came from unprocessed emotions. It came from grief that they told themselves they didn't have time to deal with because they needed to continue building their business. It came from failures. It came from financial losses. It came from divorces. It came from all of these emotional challenges that they decided that they didn't want to feel or that they couldn't feel. They didn't have the capacity or the skills or the time to feel. And that means that they have then built their business from survival mode. They have made decisions from survival mode, and then that has then led to burnout. Okay. Healing is the strategy now. Healing is the strategy. I just wanna say that again. Healing is the strategy. That is why all of my work. Someone said to me, oh, you can't be a business mentor and teach strategy and still help people heal. Well, why not? Because to me, the intersection of healing and strategy for me, that's how we grow. That's how we grow for all of us. Deep feeling people, for all of us who value our growth. For all of us who know that our souls know that we are here to learn lessons. And we have chosen these challenges for a reason. Healing is the strategy. Now our next statement, when we move with emotional integrity, build from nervous system safety and lead. Sorry, we move. Emotional integrity, build from nervous system safety and lead with self-trust so we don't override our intuition just so that we can keep up. I've learned this on the hard way too. I still need to check in on that. Okay. We don't say yes when our gut says no. We build in ways that our body can hold. What would happen for you if you felt safe in your leadership? If you trusted that you have a perfectly good decision making system in your body that you have been overriding. And yes, obviously our brain is phenomenal and our ability to think at the high levels and and engage in that highest mental faculty, faculty of imagination and all of that is so phenomenally amazing. Most of us when we are using our brain to make our decisions, it's not untainted. It's not untainted. It is coming from the lens and perception that you see the world and that you see yourself based on the core beliefs that you hold. That is why often we can think we wanna do something. Maybe you'll use your human design strategy and authority, or maybe you know, you, you're trusting your gut, your intuition, however you like to make your body led decision. We'll feel it. And then our brain goes, oh, but oh, maybe I, maybe I won't be able to pay for it. Maybe I, you know, do I really have the time for that? Can I really keep up? Am I good enough to be there? Should I really run a business? What do people judge me? Those are not clean, healthy thoughts. They are thoughts that are coming from your skewed perception, again, of the world and of yourself based on your experiences, your core beliefs. So again, what have you actually felt safe in your leadership and you learned to listen to your body? That is something that we are always checking in with in my mastermind, every single decision, everything. But how does that actually feel for you? What is your response said? What was your first initial reaction? And then if you've got an emotional authority in your human design like me, and then now you've ridden your wave, is the energy still there? Is it still a yes? We make decisions differently and we prioritize our nervous system and our emotional integrity as we lead with the self-trust. Now, our next statement is that we are not afraid of growth. We are afraid of growing in a way that costs us our truth. This is a big one for me. Okay? We are willing to go big. Only if it doesn't require us to leave ourselves behind to do it. Who has gotten caught up before going on this, this pathway that felt big but completely abandoned who you are along the way. I know I have, so maybe, I don't know if you've ever slowed down a launch or you've changed your mind mid offer because something doesn't feel right. And then your coaches told you that you're hitting your upper limit and self-sabotaging and yeah, maybe you're, maybe you're right, but did they actually check in? Are you doing this in a way that is costing you your truth? Because sometimes we are taught to sell in a way, or to launch in a way, or to run an offer in a way, or to stand for something that isn't actually deeply what we believe. It's not your truth, it is someone else's. And so if you pause the launch or you pivoted or you changed your mind because it didn't feel right, and you, you sit with that and you look at the fact that you are actually abandoning your core beliefs in order to bring this thing into the world or to deliver the service that you've promised, and you are at friction with your values. Then it wasn't self-sabotage. That is you choosing integrity. Please remember that these are the questions that you need to be looking at, and I hope that you have a mentor who helps you look at it from these pictures because yes, we have upper limits. Absolutely. We ha we have ascension symptoms. There are always challenges when we are, and we absolutely do self-sabotage. I, I am the first to know that. My point here is, are you growing in a way that cost you your truth and pay attention to the times where that feels like that is what is happening. Now, our next point, we choose a different path. One that honors our cycles, our energy and our bus and our bigness. So gosh, my words are really not here today. It'll be Monday. We don't work like machines. No. I mean, you can if you want to, if it feels like it's in energetic integrity for you, but the majority of the women that I know, we work in rhythms. We rest when we bleed, we launch. When we pick, we stop pretending that productivity and worth are the same thing. And this one, honestly, this might be the most radical belief of all because we live in a world that doesn't honor this. You have already proven how strong you are, so now it is time for you to learn to build from wisdom and not depletion. Honor your cycle. Honor your season of life. Honor the season that you are in. Honor the energy that you have. Honor the health of a nervous system whilst honoring your bigness. You can do that. Now, next statement. We are no longer here to fit into systems. We are here to create new ones. I know this is especially true for me. I am not here to fit into a system. I'm here to create new systems. And so I had a story that anytime that I couldn't stick to someone else's blueprint, I was failing. It's the same even through school. No, I've had to unlearn that we are here as embodied entrepreneurs to build frameworks that actually work for the way that we think, the way that we feel, and the way that we lead. And I am so here to own that now isn't of funny how the thought of stepping out of a box, doing things differently, believing different things to other people, standing up for what you deeply believe is true. What is possible? That that urge to, to make ourselves smaller around people who don't get it. Isn't it funny how those things just completely take over and really inform our decisions? Not anymore, because your success does not cost you your truth. We have already covered that one. So if nobody around you is building like you wanna build. If your family, if your friends, if other people don't understand, that is your proof, not your problem. You are not the problem. You are pioneering and that is the whole point. Now a final statement, a final statement is that together. We rise not by doing more, but by becoming more of who we truly are. Now, this is a big one because we are not adding more to prove our worth. We are peeling back layers until what's left is the truth, and then we let that be enough. That is what we are doing as embodied entrepreneurs. We are becoming more of who we truly are. We are infusing that into our businesses, into our office, into our voices. We are infusing that in. So this, this whole business journey, it becomes a remembering of who you are. It becomes a reclamation of what your leadership was always meant to feel like We don't prove our worth. We are already worthy. No one did just say that. Put your hand on your heart and say that I do not prove my worth. I am already worthy. So these are our embodied entrepreneur statements. When I say to you on this podcast on Instagram in my containers, we are embodied entrepreneurs. We are a community of embodied entrepreneurs. This is what we are here to learn. This is what we are here to do. This is what we are here to infuse in our business as, as this starts again with us because our business will never outgrow our identity. Okay? It never will, and honestly. Please remember, and I say this with so much love, when there is a sticking point, it is likely you and me, it's likely you in your business. If there is a sticking point, it is likely you and I say that with love. I say that because I'm literally here to mirror to you what is happening. And if you can take that radical responsibility, if you can take ownership of that, if you can say, okay. I am the embodied entrepreneur. I am here to hustle to the health of my nervous system. I'm not going to push my way through this wound. There is nothing shameful about struggle. There's nothing shameful about challenges. I heard a saying the other day actually was from someone I follow on Instagram. And she was going through something and she said, what did she say? She said, pain is inevitable, suffering is not. And now she was going through something really, really, really hard. Pain is inevitable. Suffering is a choice, and I agree with that because even looking at. My journey this year, and I will share a little bit more about this at some point, but for now, I can share that I've had a really challenging personal year. Emotionally. It has crushed me mentally, physically, everything. It has been a really challenging year for me personally, and there was a big period of time where there was the pain, there was the struggle, but I also chose suffering. For me, when I realized that, when I actually realized I was choosing to be at that level of suffering, I realized then that there were so many other options and steps that I could take, even though they were big and scary. So I know it might feel like a personal attack when I say that, but pain is optional. Suffering is a choice. So these are, as I said, my embodied entrepreneur statements. If these resonate with you, I want to hear from you. I want you to come over to Instagram. Send me an email and I want you to tell me which of these are you going to really start to honor and learn to embody. And if you would like one of these beautiful, I have them in a few different. A few different styles. If you would like one of these beautiful flyers or posters, whatever you wanna call them without embodied entrepreneur statements, then just DM me and I'll send you a digital copy and you can save it, you can print it, you can put it somewhere and remind yourself, I am an embodied entrepreneur and this is what this means for me because I am here to do things differently. Your business is not just about making money, and of course we wanna make money and we wanna be able to make impact with that money. We want overflow, all of those things, and we deserve all of those things. But I believe that if you are listening to this podcast, if you are in this world, then you have chosen entrepreneurship because of the personal growth that it will give you along the way. And if you're listening to this and you're thinking, okay, this, oh, I keep pumping the microphone today. If you're thinking, okay, okay, this is me, then I wanna offer you something really simple and really powerful. Now, this is only for podcast listeners. It is only through the months of September and October. It is a 30 minute diagnostic call, completely free with me. Now we will identify what is not working, whether that be internally. Or in your strategy, we will tune into that bottleneck. We will get really clear on what your next aligned move is so that you can know exactly. Where your time, energy, attention, and focus again, internally or externally needs to be going. So we will pop that link in the show notes. I encourage you to book it. As I said, these are only available through September and October, I think as this show is going to air, it will be October, so you don't have long left to claim 30 minutes with me for free. For a diagnostic miracle, okay? I call them a miracle because we're going to reflect back to you what is actually happening and bring your awareness into that so you know what to do next. So I would love to love to see you in a miracle. Go and grab that now while you can, and if this resonated with you, come and let me know. Thank you so much for being here again with me today. I, I hope that you can see from these statements what it is behind everything that I am building, how I make my decisions in my containers, how I mentor my mastermind mentees, how everyone is deeply supported through these beliefs, through these visions that I have for you all. To be able to really, as I said, learn to do these things differently and learn to be okay with being different and having a different opinion and building your businesses differently so that you don't have to abandon yourself. I truly, deeply believe that is possible for you. It's never linear. It's always gonna be a windy, windy road. Sometimes there's steps forward with, you know, many, many steps backwards, but that's okay. I want you to remember you signed up for this. That's, maybe that's another blunt, whatever message that you signed up for this, you chose this. I dunno where the belief has come from that we can, I mean, you can believe it if you wanna believe it, but I don't know where the stories have come from that we can just start a business, invest no money into it, suddenly be successful. Oh. Actually, I do know where it's come from. It's come from all the messaging that's out there. Now. I'm going off on a massive tangent, but. I saw a sponsored post the other day and it said, what did it say? Five minutes, one canvas slide,$40,000. Now, maybe that method has worked for that person, and I'm sure it has if they're, if they're selling it. I, I wanna believe they're selling it in integrity. That's not reality for most people. Okay? So that belief that we can, again, start our business, invest no money into advertising, invest no money into learning, be really great at what we do, but invest no time or energy into learning how to run a business and just be successful by spending five minutes on one canvas line using their prop, their pitch, and make$40,000. It's not realistic for the majority of us. Okay? It's not. We are here to be real. It doesn't always work like that. And the really successful people that you see, I want you to remember that yes, they might have sold out their launches organically. They might be welcoming a hundred new members in, but they have been building their trust and their communities and their brand for 10 years. So again, we are embodied entrepreneurs. We are here for that growth journey. We are here for the success that doesn't call to abandon ourselves. And that's the end of my tangent. Let me know your thoughts on this and I look forward to seeing you in next week's episode.
