Sharing our survivor stories from Breast cancer gives us a voice in a voiceless system and helps equip others diagnosed how to fight the Battle Ahead. As we share we help others know how to fight, how to find hope, and how to advocate for themselves along the way. It helps you know that you can fight and do hard things too! As a survivor I found the health system left me feeling unheard, unseen, and dismissed. I turned to the internet to find the answers I didn't get from my health team. I found very little outside from medical facilities. This led me on the journey to give back and provide what I was searching for. What better way to know how to fight than to hear from others warriors who fought and won! It will look different for each person facing Breast Cancer, but you will not be alone. My beautiful warrior friend Mary Ann shares of her battle with Genetic BRCA2 Positive. How Covid kept her from getting necessary scans. How she is now living disabled and how you can go that route if needed. But mostly HOW she is fighting to live and thrive with Joy and appreciation of life and everything it throws at you. She is a loving mother of 2 miracle boys after going through fertility issues she had given up because of her genetic factor for breast cancer only to be given the miracle of life twice! The heartbeat behind this page is YOU! I believe that there is POWER in your story! Our stories and sharing it allows us to feel heard in a voiceless system and helps us to heal! But even more than that It will help others who are diagnosed with breast cancer search their diagnosis and instead of countless medical pages coming up, Survivor stories will pull up too! Hearing another warrior's story and how they fought will help them have hope, encouragement to be their own advocate, know they are not alone, and equip them before they enter the battle field that is breast cancer!
I will be interviewing and filming Warriors and posting the videos here and on other platforms. I will also be sharing health tips and advice. I will be interviewing others in the medical fields and asking advice from their perspectives.
