Sharing our survivor stories from Breast cancer gives us a voice in a voiceless system and helps equip others diagnosed how to fight the Battle Ahead. As we share we help others know how to fight, how to find hope, and how to advocate for themselves along the way. It helps you know that you can fight and do hard things too! As a survivor I found the health system left me feeling unheard, unseen, and dismissed. I turned to the internet to find the answers I didn't get from my health team. I found very little outside from medical facilities. This led me on the journey to give back and provide what I was searching for. What better way to know how to fight than to hear from others warriors who fought and won! It will look different for each person facing Breast Cancer, but you will not be alone. In this Episode I interview local Artist Melissa Korel with Pensacola Permanent Makeup. She is doing AMAZING things for Survivors! She is celebrating her 7th year in her industry.! She is such a joy to be around and I KNOW she has changed the lives of so many survivors! When I met her I just knew you needed to meet her too! Her art is so realistic and beautiful! She is doing 3-D Areola nipple tattoos that are so realistic and look like the nipple is raised! its simply beautiful! Also, If you have experienced hair loss in your eye brows as a result of Chemotherapy she can fill them in a they look so real! And Natural! She is partnered with the Sauler Institute and together after application you may qualify to get her services for free! And if you aren't local to Pensacola they will pair you with an artist near you. How amazing! Melissa is so sweet and just a joy to be around!
