Well, hello, you glitter covered alien. In today's episode of the Deep Ridges podcast, I'm going to be sharing with you some insights that I'm experiencing in real time. These are breakthrough insights that are changing my life and changing the way that I interface with my work and changing the way that I'm approaching my business. And I think these are going to be a great deal of help to you. And if anything, it will help you to see the way that I kind of interface with all this stuff. I've said it before that I feel a lot like an alien, and I'm pretty sure you do too. That's why you hang with me here. The way that I see the world and the way that I interface with my life, I think it's it's um not to brag or anything, but I think it's a really healthy, a really healthy way to see things. And here's number one what I mean by this is work is not something that we need to suffer through. Work is actually not something that we should ever suffer through. And I know that seems like an alien concept, but for most people, it seems like an alien concept. I talked to one of my friends, he's um an older gentleman, and he's a lawyer, and he was telling me that his outlook on work is that if you get to enjoy just 50% of it, you're lucky. And that's not uncommon, but I just don't accept that. Okay. I completely reject that. And I always have rejected that. I rejected that when I was working at a corporate office in Niles, Illinois to support my personal training income. It was like a slice of hell, and I've talked about it before. And I just knew in my heart, like I was like, I can't, I can't reconcile that this is part of the human experience. I just can't do it. I'm just not okay with this. And I actually think that part of the magic that we have in this time and space realm at this particular time in human history is we get to choose exactly what the hell we want our life to look like when it comes to our work. So that's number one. And I think a lot of people have have lost sight with that. I think even in the online business space, a lot of people come to the online business game and they assume they have to do things a certain way. They assume, for instance, I have a beautiful uh client in the YouTube Profits Accelerator right now who started the very first session with just telling me a little bit about her history and how her coach, she had a coach who she loved who was very, very heartfelt, but who ascribed to that you need to post to Instagram every single day, multiple times a day. And she she basically had this woman doing Instagram every single day, multiple times a day. And that coach, I believe, probably enjoys that. But then there are some people, like the woman that I mentioned here, the client of mine who's currently in the YouTube Profits Accelerator, working through some beautiful uh frameworks with me that are gonna free her up. So she only has to film twice a month. And when I said, How would you like it to film twice a month instead of every day? She was like, Oh my God, and I could see her face relax. That's a possibility. And it's also possible, by the way, that if you don't like YouTube and you don't want to post on YouTube, you don't have to do that either. We've got things like emails. Do you like writing? You you've got things like podcasts, do you enjoy talking into a microphone? Do you enjoy, for instance, even if you didn't like online stuff? Do you want to maybe host a live event somewhere in your local area? You could start selling tickets on eventbrite.com today. There is really absolutely no reason why some beautiful glitter-covered alien like you doesn't enjoy every single bit of your work. You know, there's gonna be some stuff that doesn't feel so fun. But what I'm gonna offer in this in this first little point here is I'm gonna just ask you, what have you had rolling around in your mind that you're really excited to do and that maybe you've been holding off on? I want you to know that it you're like literally probably 48 hours away from getting that thing. You could get it up and running in like less than a day. Like, this is me putting my hands gently on your shoulder and I'm just shaking you a little bit and I'm squeezing just hard enough. And then I'm gonna give you a hug after this, but like just a little shake. If you want to grow an email newsletter that you're really in love with, you want to start getting your writing practice better, you know, you could do that tomorrow. I mean, you could do it right now. You could shut this podcast off and do it. If you want to start speaking in front of a camera and creating great videos that last and last and last for years and years and years, and you want people um, you know, coming up to you when you're at the grocery store saying, Oh my God, I loved your video. You changed my life. I can't tell you how cool that was the first time that ever happened to me. I was at Whole Foods and somebody came up to me and she showed me a before and after picture. Um, she had lost like 200 pounds from my programs and from my videos. And she was like, she gave me a big hug. She ran up to me with her friend and she was like, Oh my God, I can't believe it's you. And I was like, I can't believe this is happening. Like, that was the second year, I think, of my videos. But I was like, Are you real? And I like literally said, Are you a real person? Like, what's happening here? You could have that happening, and I'm not saying we want to be famous. That's obviously not the aim, but I'm saying that impact, you could be touching millions of lives every single day if you wanted to, that people that you don't know. But anyway, that's just point number one is there are so many different ways to fulfill your beautiful gifts, to shine your light, to get things going. There's all kinds of free software that we have Zoom. Zoom is completely free. Let's say you're a hypnotist and you want to share the gift of hypnosis. Hey, I'm doing a free hypnosis situation. Come to my Zoom meeting. It's tonight at 8 p.m. Or charge for it. I'm talking to business owners on this podcast, hopefully. So charge for it. Charge for it. Think outside the box. Don't let this world force you into some pigeonholed situation that you don't enjoy. You could do whatever you'd like to do and make sure for point number one, make sure that you're when you're doing things, that you're enjoying it. I'm all about enjoying the work. I would never ever, ever fill my days in life with something I didn't really, with things that I didn't really love. So if you're if you're not really loving your business right now and it's not really feeling quite like home and it's not really flowing, I want you to know that that's okay. That's totally something that all business owners go through. And I promise you that you can let go of everything that you're not really enjoying and start enjoying the whole damn thing by letting go of everything you're not enjoying. That's kind of my MO on it. I don't do things I don't enjoy. I don't talk about things I don't enjoy. I'm not cramming myself into some weird persona. I'm just gonna show up every day and do things that I really love that I enjoy. LinkedIn, like as an aside, LinkedIn, all of you people who post to LinkedIn, I I love you so much, I don't understand it. I really don't get LinkedIn. I really don't understand how you can hang out there. It's not obviously I'm not the demo, you know. I'm not a corporate girly. I and I love you if you are. And there's obviously places and people who need that. Like, for instance, there are some lawyers who I know listen to the podcast. And if you're a lawyer listening to the podcast, you're probably gonna want to post a LinkedIn, you know. I get that, I get that. But um, I have some clients and customers in the YouTube Profits Accelerator, like one of the beautiful clients in there uh in a meeting, she said after she quit doing LinkedIn, she's like, Yeah, I posted my first couple YouTube videos and I was resisting and resisting. And then the first couple videos, I got like 10 times more opt-ins than I have in multiple years of posting the LinkedIn. And she happens to really like doing YouTube. And can I talk about point number two now? Point number two about the creative process and the creative flow and what is so important for you in this time and space realm is for you to actually express yourself, because I don't believe here's the thing about glitter-covered aliens like you and I. I don't believe that we could actually know who we are truly if we're not embodying that out in the world. I know you've heard that term embodiment, and it sounds awfully fluffy and airy-fairy, but on a very real level, if you let's say you didn't ever use your hands, let's say your hands were bound up into some weird, you know, Chinese foot binding situation, but it was on your hands. Okay, so let's imagine your hands were all bound up from the time that you were little all the way up to this point, and you never used your fingers, and you had no idea that you even had fingers. And then you take that binding off and you're able to use your fingers and move them around. Now you understand what hands are. I believe that there is something even more precious than any physical appendage that each and every human has, and that's their soul, and that's your being, and that's your personality structure, and that's your the the parts of you that people can't see with the human eye, those are the important parts of you. Those matter so much more than your body. I don't believe it's possible to know that part of yourself really truly in the way that we were meant to know if you're not bringing that out into the world. You can know yourself on such a deep level. And I think that is such an important kind of part of this whole process. And it's also the ultimate privilege. It's also the ultimate privilege. So a lot of people today are treating this all like one big giant chore. They're treating this like, oh, like I gotta, you know, quote unquote create content. If you think of this moment not as a means to an end, but as a means in and of itself, it can be creative. So this is precious to me, by the way. Is that life is not a means to an end. Everything is precious in it in and of itself. Everything is a privilege in and of itself. It's such a privilege for me to sit here and create these podcasts for you. And it's such a privilege for me to write an email. I wanted to jump into the human aspect of this. So this is number three. I think a lot of people are missing the magic of what's happening right now. Picture the Oscar stage with me, okay? So there's the Oscar stage with all these celebrities dressed in the dressed to the ninths and their million-dollar Gavinchy outfits and all of that stuff. Now picture that Oscar stage collapsing. And as much as I love, you know, there's I have my celebrities, the actors and actresses that I really love, um, that Oscar stage has collapsed more or less. Nobody cares about celebrity culture, nobody cares about influencer culture, nobody cares about anything except for is this or is this not a good movie? Is this or is this not a good YouTube video? Is this or is this not a good book? Is this or is this not a good podcast? I don't give a shit about um any celebrities' new podcast. I don't really care. And we could kind of see that in the numbers. Like, all love to Rachel Ray. I I recently heard that she started a podcast and I'm like, oh, that's good for her. I'm not personally a Rachel Ray like follower, but I'm sure that there were some people who loved it. But maybe like 15, 20 years ago, it'd be like the only people who really could get traction uh in the world is Rachel Ray or you know, J Lo. As much as I love J-Lo. I'm like a hardcore J-Lo fan. Everybody needs to leave J Lo the hell alone, by the way. J Lo is like Mama J Lo, let's leave her alone. She is a goddess. She is awesome. But the but nobody cares about celebrities anymore. Nobody cares. Nobody cares about all the gatekeepers, they are gone. They've been gone. They've been long gone, dead and gone. And the the Oscar stage is wide open at this point. And I'm sitting here on the stage and I'm like, come on up. Well, it's dead and it's flattened, so I don't know why I'm saying come on up, but I'm saying, hey, look, there's a big pile of cash, proverbial cash, meaning, I mean proverbial cash, meaning the creative process and doing whatever it is you want to do. There, there's a huge pile of proverbial cash, the energetic cash of you get to do whatever the hell you want. If you can create something good and meaningful for people, they will listen to it and enjoy your stuff. And you aren't chasing fame. Fame is fame is a dead concept at this point as well, by the way. I don't, I don't really see fame being a thing for I think we're on the very tip-tip-tail end of it. Nobody's really famous anymore, anyway. Um, there is some celebrity culture, like a little bit, but really honestly, like my mom gets more. This is like, for an example, my mom gets way more of a kick out of her face. My mom loves watching TikTok, and she's like, Oh, have you kept up with? And I don't want to get on TikTok at all. So my mom sometimes, my mom and I, we're like missing each other in our conversations because she'll be like, Oh my god, did you hear about? And there was some, she's a really big fan of some uh trans person who does interior design and home repairs. And she, the, the trans person, the she was taking a book tour, and she was so stoked. She was like thinking about buying tickets to go to go to the book signing of that person. And I thought that was so cool. Um, and she doesn't ever want to talk about celebrity culture, she doesn't give a shit. And my mom used to be such um, you know, uh, what's it called? Those people who buy, she didn't buy the inquiry magazine, but she would always like peek into it to see like what Britney Spears was doing or whatever. And I just laugh at celebrity culture now. Like, like if you remember back in the day when Britney Spears shaved her head, it was like, oh my god, everybody was going nuts about it, including myself. I think I was like a baby in high school at that point, but uh nobody cares. Nobody cares anymore. So you have full, full reign to do whatever it is you would like to do with your business, with your work, with all of it. And there is no gatekeepers. There's this is a completely level playing field. The only qualifier one last time is is this good work? So I here's the insight that's changing my life right now because I'm seeing this in real time. We're having a live in real time, out in the open revolution of humanity. We are, we're having the sunrise era, it's happening. So the only way to move forward from this point as a business owner is you have to bring the heat, baby. You have to be good. Nobody cares about your fancy bags, and I'm not saying you, but I'm saying like nobody cares about celebrity culture, nobody cares about influencer culture, nobody cares even about factoids. They don't care about to-do lists, they care about are you sincere? Are you gonna bring the goodness? Are you gonna sh give a shit about people? There's a huge need in the market for people like you, business owners like you, who actually give a shit about other humans, who know you're an alien, by the way. There's not a lot of human beings who know they're aliens, also. So I hope this has been helpful in some way. Um, there's not a key takeaway necessarily to this episode, except for basically now's the time, my friend. Now's the time. If you've been hesitating on any little piece of your work, if there's something that you're waiting to be doing, now's the time to do it. Now's the time to do it. I'm gonna end this episode by letting you know I have a brand new free training on my website called the Big Money Blueprint. The Big Money Blueprint is my brand new free five-day interactive, immersive online experience that helps you to map out your business. The reason I created this was because every time, um, whether they were seven-figure earners or six-figure earners, whenever a business owner comes to me for help with the online staff, the problem is always some kind of clarity or lack of clarity. So if you would like to get clear about your business plan for the online game, and you want to really get clear about who you're helping, how you're helping them, what you should be doing, your your content strategy, all of that stuff, it requires just a couple key frameworks. And I kept doing this over and over again for people who would start with me. So this is actually something I've taken every client through who's ever joined one of my courses or programs. Okay. It's I'm calling it the big money blueprint, but it's basically um, I highly recommend you take this, especially if you've ever thought about taking one of my premium trainings. This is something that I'm gonna have you do anyway. So I want you to go ahead and go through the big money blueprint training, and that's at Brendaturner.com. I'm also gonna put it on its own separate page. It's on the Gift gifts page. But if you go to Brendaturner.com, it's on the very top of the homepage. And I'll also put a link in the description bar. Okay. So thank you so much for taking the time to hang with me today. Thank you so much for shining your light in this world and being a beautiful glitter covered alien. And I'll see you in the next episode.
