Well, hello there, you beautiful eternal being. In today's episode, I wanted to talk about the trends right now. You might have noticed at the top of the year, a lot of people were talking about how this is the year of the fire horse and it's a magical year and all that stuff. You might also notice that lately here a lot of people are talking about quantum, quantum leaping. Manifestation is not so hot right now because many people have cycled through the manifestation game, and um, most manifestation coaches have noticed, hmm, interesting. People don't quite get the results that I'm saying that manifestation delivers. You know, Ron DeBurn has had to pivot. All the great manifestation coaches, you know, they've had to pivot in some way or another. Manifestation isn't so hot right now. It was very hot about 10 years ago, but slowly, slowly but surely it's it's kind of lost its flair and pizzazz. So now the hot thing is the year of the fire horse and quantum. And I would like to just offer a perspective on this that kind of flies in the face. And I'm not trying to be a contrarian in my most recent content, but I think with the age of 40 comes a lifting of the veil of estrogen. And so I have a lower tolerance for nonsense in this kind of phase of my life where I'm not saying that the year of the fire horse is nonsense, and I'm not saying that there isn't such a thing as quantum, and I'm not saying that manifestation doesn't have its place, but I'm saying we're in a time and space realm where life is actually spiritual by nature. And waking up in the morning, you're automatically having a spiritual experience. And business is a psychedelic experience without any psychedelics. There's nothing more spiritual or psychedelic than getting up in the morning and saying, you know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna create a business. You know what I'm gonna create today? I'm gonna create something that's gonna help a bunch of people so much that it's gonna generate thousands of dollars in sales every single day for the next quarter of the year. That's a spiritual process. And of course, there's the seen and unseen aspects to life. And I start every episode greeting the glitter-covered alien that you are. And so I'm not here to tell us, to tell the crew, to tell you, to tell anybody what it is or is not true for you. If it's true for you, it's true for you. If a spiritual teaching works for you, it works for you. But I'd like to just offer that most of the um spiritual fanfare, I guess we'll call it the fanfare, the flashy stuff, the glitz and the glamour, like the year of the fire horse was this big, huge thing that everybody was talking about. And if you take a look at it with fresh eyes, it's just marketing jargon. It was just a marketing campaign. I'm all for it. I respect the hustle. It's a nice angle, it's a nice bit of branding. But every single business coach who is any kind of spiritual flare we're talking about the year of the fire horse. And, you know, I saw some coaches charging like $30,000 for their year of the fire horse special offer. How's that going? I'm gonna wager a bet that not much has taken place or transpired for those people who have pursued the year of the fire horse as their main business strategy. I don't mean to sound condescending at all. I'm just speaking frankly because one one once again, I've seen so much nonsense in the online business game over the last 16 years that I just call a spade a spade. So I'm seeing a lot of quantum stuff out there. And some of the spiritual fanfare just drives me nuts. As much as I love it, you know, uh, most of my clients have some kind of spiritual practice that they're teaching. A lot of them have a spiritual practice of their own. I, of course, have my spirit guides and my own spiritual practices. And so I'm right there with you. I'm a huge proponent of all the spiritual teachings and all the spiritual practices and touching in with the unseen world. But the reason that we want to do that stuff is so that we can be functional within the actual world. And I think sometimes um we lean way too much into the esoteric parts of um just things, you know, the spiritual, the the esoteric part of spirituality, and we're not really integrating the spirituality with our lived experience. And I have found that the most spiritual experience that we can do is you take your spiritual practice that you're using in the morning or throughout the day. Hopefully, you have some kind of a practice that you dip into throughout the day, and you actually use those in a grounded approach when it comes to your business. And so why I did the teaching about manifestation being probably not our best business strategy a couple episodes ago, and why I'm talking to you now about why, you know, pursuing the year of the fire horse as a business strategy or pursuing a quantum, learning about quantum stuff as a business strategy, it doesn't make any sense when you know the fundamentals of business. So I'm just gonna talk very briefly to give you a quick reminder of the fundamentals of business, just like the fundamentals of uh health and fitness. If you want to get into great shape, more or less, no matter who you follow, no matter what expert you're talking to, no matter who they're talking to, get a room of a bunch of experts and you give them a box of things to check and not check of what people are gonna need to do. Everybody, when they're trying to get into great shape, they're gonna have to move their body. The movement form doesn't really so much matter, but they're gonna have to move their body. They're gonna have to drink a lot of water, hydrate, they're gonna have to eat healthy food in right quantities, the appropriate amounts for what their activity level is, you know. And it would also help them to do all the other healthy things like get some sleep, you know, take good care to not be stressed out. Those are the basics. So there's some fundamentals when it comes to business and making great money in this time and space realm. This time and space realm is a spiritual place. Business is very spiritual. We actually don't need to apply all of the layers and layers of quantum and manifestation and the year of the fire horse and all of this stuff on top of business because business as it stands is very, very spiritual by nature. It's so simple. When I lay out the fundamentals for you, you'll see exactly what I mean. It is so simple. It is so easy to make money in this world. It's so easy that you could do it with your hands tied behind your back. You could do it with your hands tied behind your back. You could do it with your hands tied behind your back, with give yourself three weeks, give yourself a three-week window. You could do some amazing things if you know the fundamentals. With your hands tied behind your back, you would blow your competition out of the water. Okay. It does require that you become a brand new version of yourself, and we could call that quantum. But here's the thing about business you will experience a spiritual, emotional, physical, biological, cellular transformation by default when you're doing the fundamentals of business, which is why I love business. Okay, the fundamentals. These are the fundamentals of online business. And it's so easy to get it right, and it's so also so tempting for people to muck it up and over-complicate it and over-spiritualize it and over-pathologize and overthink it. Let's not do that. So here are the fundamentals. Number one, you need to have a solution to a problem that people want to solve. It doesn't matter if you think the idea is great. If people don't want to buy it, they're not gonna buy it. Now, if you have a solution to a problem that people really want to solve, they will buy it. They will move hell and high water to buy it. They will figure out a way to buy it. If they don't want it, they'll find any excuse to not buy it. So that's number one. You need to be solving a problem that people actually want to solve. That's the business structure. We can call that the kind of core of your business, the tree trunk of your business, the roots of your business. Now we have branches that grow from that root, and those are called your offerings. But you must get really clear about what it is, the problem, the problem that your actual business solves. What is the key core solution that your business provides to people? Okay. And then the branches are the offerings. Those are the things you're going to be selling to people. Those are the things that are going to make you money. Those offers must also honor the rule that I just gave you. We must always provide offers that are irresistible in nature, that people really want to buy, that they feel stupid if they don't buy it. They feel like, oh, I have to have that. It gives them an itch they need to scratch until they buy it. Okay. That's going back to knowing. This is why it's spiritual, because you have to know who you're helping. You have to know who your customer is. You have to really understand what their problems are. So this requires a level of love and generosity. I've talked about this in the last couple episodes. But the most, the most spiritual and powerful force that you can infuse into your business is not that you're the fire horse. It's not all the quantum stuff. It's not manifestation. It's not visualization. It's not all the spiritual jargon. It's taking an honest look at what is the most loving thing I can provide to my customer, meaning what's the most loving solution that I can give? I talked about this in the offers episode a few episodes ago. You could talk about the quantum stuff all day until the cows come home. You could hire a business coach who is going to teach you about the quantum stuff and run round and round and round talking about quantum stuff and have you visualizing the quantum stuff and all the quantum stuff and the year of the fire horse and all this nonsense, but you still haven't addressed the fundamentals. What are you selling? Who are you helping? How are you helping them? What's the offer? Now, part two. Once you get clear about the problems that you're solving, how you're going to solve them, what those offers are going to be, I guess we'll call that part one and now part two. It's let's just get that in front of the right people. Part two, get it in front of the right people. This is also known as marketing in a way. Okay. Get it in front of the right people, meaning I like YouTube for this, but whatever, choose your choose your method. You can use LinkedIn, you can use business cards and give them out to people in real life. You can start hosting live events and workshops in your area. You can get on Eventbrite and start hosting live events in your area for free. Little webinars in person. Test that out. I think that would probably do really well nowadays. People are dying for an experience. You can host webinars on in virtual, you can start buying ads on Facebook. Just getting yourself in front of the right people at the right times, meaning when they search for your solution, that they're able to find you. So if you're solving a problem and you get that solution right in front of the correct people at the right time, meaning when they get on their computer and they're looking for ways to reduce anxiety or ways to lose body fat or ways to find their dream partner, you want your stuff to come up. And the only way that's going to happen is if you start posting content andor buying ads andor getting yourself out there andor talking about your business all the time to everybody you meet. Be an evangelist for your business. That's number two. Number three is to nurture those leads. We can call them leads, we can call them customers, but you're building a relationship. You're nurturing the relationship with those potential customers. So somebody watches a YouTube video from you and it's a banger and it's really helpful. In the video, you say, Hey, I have a free such and such. You're gonna want to click the description bar to get that free thing. You're pouring love onto them, being very loving. And then you connect with them on a regular basis by sending them emails. Okay? I heard I just heard through the internet, through the ether, through the time and space realm, I heard a sigh of, eh, I have to send emails. I don't like to. Well, if you don't like sending emails, that's fine, but just know that that's a huge part of online business. But if you really don't like sending emails, it's even more important for you to be posting regular content on your pla on your platform of choice. I really recommend YouTube and utilizing the post tab or something. We'll talk more about that in a different episode, but just getting yourself in front of your people on a regular basis is very important. This builds a relationship so they really get to know you. This is the power of online business. Before online business, I want you to really understand the gravity of the time and space realm that you live in right now and the opportunity that you have every day to be making thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars. And why, if you're not doing that, there's nothing wrong with you, but you're simply just got your eyes closed to how easy it is. Before the internet was invented, business owners like you and I would have had to pay tens of thousands of dollars probably per hour to get the kind of tools that we have now to get in front of people for free. More people are on YouTube now than any other platform. More people are on Instagram now than almost any other platform as well. Um, if you're posting to Instagram, which I don't recommend, but if you happen to be one of those business owners who are posting to Instagram, I mean you have access to billions of people every day or going on Instagram. I highly recommend YouTube. But anyway, to send uh to send an ad or to get an ad in front of the right people at the right time before the internet, you would have had to pay, who knows, $20,000 for a random commercial that you didn't have any control over who was gonna see it. You didn't have any control over who was gonna see your advertising in a magazine. You would just have to buy the ad and hope it works. But today you get to post a YouTube video with a very specific title and a very specific message with a description bar that has a bunch of goodies that's gonna help you to keep in touch with people who actually are saying, yes, I want to keep in touch with you. The value of that is immeasurable. Immeasurable. So that's the next step of the fundamentals. The last step that I think is very important for business fundamentals is to deliver your offerings in a way that's really sustainable, that you enjoy and that your clients enjoy. Once again, going to the magic online business, we can do this all kinds of ways. We can deliver live trainings with Zoom, which is relatively new, by the way. We can deliver courses that are pre-recorded, we can deliver community experiences, we can deliver in-person events, we can deliver a confluence of all of these things. The sky is really the limit here. You can deliver workshops, one-day events, multi-day events. You can the sky is the limit, honestly. The sky is really the limit. But delivering your um your solutions in a way that really makes sense for what it is you're solving for, those are kind of the fundamentals. Okay. There's a lot of other things that we could talk about here, but I want to keep it really simple. I want to keep it eat your vegetables, drink your water, move your body. So every day we have a little profit routine that we can check in, write a little email, post a little something on your platform of choice, maybe a couple times a month, get yourself in front of your people, take care of those people with a podcast if you'd like, and rinse and repeat. Have a good offer that sells. And then once you've done that, take a look at how it's doing, assess the results. You know, do a little debrief on a regular basis. Okay, how many people are watching the channel? How many people are clicking through to your landing pages? How many people are buying the offer? How many people are repurchasing if that's if that's applicable? And how many people are telling their friends about it, you know? And then how many people are are buying your other offers? How much is the value of each and every customer in your business? This is highly spiritual because it sounds so simple, but what it's what is required to do those things in today's time and space realm, it requires a great deal of focus, of discipline, of getting really truly devoted to letting go of everything else that's not that. So I say if the quantum stuff helps you to get focused and doing those core things, go for it. If the business training that you're taking that happens to also talk about the year of the fire horse talks about those fundamentals, go for it. You know, all the better. But if you're thinking about looking into the year of the fire horse and the quantum stuff, and it's not gonna offer you basic business training, the fundamentals, the mindset stuff is really important as well, the mindset stuff that ties in with all these things. Mindset being what's going on in your mind that you're blocking, you're taking these actions, noticing the mindset stuff, which, you know, I'm just throwing this in here last minute. But if you got a mindset situation where you're not yet committed and you keep running into the same things over and over and over and over and over again, and you're like, I don't know, I can't seem to focus. I can't seem to XYZ, I can't seem to get it done. Let's go ahead and take care of that mindset stuff as well. And all the rest of it, I find it to be just a bunch of time-wasting, um, navel gazing kind of nonsense. I know that sounds harsh. I know that sounds harsh, but I just sometimes I'm looking at some of these business coaches that are out here talking about the year of the fire horse and all this stuff and the manifestation stuff and the quantum stuff. And I, as much as I, you know, I have an appreciation for all the esoteric teachings, I really truly do. I just think sometimes I'm looking at these, and especially because I live in Austin, and so sometimes I have the inside scoop. Um, many times the business owners and teachers who are teaching about business and they're teaching about things like the year of the fire horse, they're not actually running their business based off of the year of the fire horse. The manifestation teachers and coaches who talk about manifestation, they're not really making their money from sitting there manifesting. They're making their money because they're out there operating their business, doing, working the fundamentals. They're tweaking their offers, they're doing webinars, they're learning how to get in front of the right people at the right time. They're posting really good content on a regular basis. They're taking care of their email stuff. They're posting podcasts about quantum and all that stuff. They're they're posting their promotional content that happens to also mention all the esoteric stuff and all that. I'm not throwing the baby out with the bathwater. I don't want to make it seem like everybody who ever talks about this stuff is totally full of it. But there is a big part of me that is so, so um cynical about all of it because uh I just I just feel that a lot of the times the ultimate dream that they're selling you is that you're gonna be able to create a million-dollar business from just sitting there and thinking about stuff. And it's a lot of disco ball stuff, it's a lot of glitter, it's a lot of velvet, it's a lot of, you know, it's a lot of Las Vegas magic show stuff. It's very flashy. There's lots of galaxy stuff, and it's just very flashy and all that stuff. But I found the most spiritual, the most spiritual things in my life have been quiet. They've been, uh there's a suchness to truly transcendent business. There's a devotion to it that is quiet. There's a um boringness to it, if you will. My business doesn't feel boring to me, but from the outside looking in, there's no year of the fire horse nonsense happening in my house and my business. I'm just getting my getting my nose to the grindstone. It's not to the grindstone, but I'm just getting my mind always to the notebook, getting the work done, filming the videos, getting the offers up, promoting, writing the emails, working the fundamentals over and over again. And the fundamentals are what every single business owner you will ever pop, if you pop the hood under any successful business, they're working the fundamentals. And no more, no less. Of course, we can get into the more esoteric things, and they might, they might give you a little turbo boost, but they don't, they do nothing to build a solid business. That's my guarantee. And if you work the fundamentals, you've got yourself a solid business. If you want to put the turbo boost on, if it works for you, and talking about the fire horse and the quantum stuff and all the glittery stuff and the glitz and glamour and the manifestation and all those little doodads and all that stuff, go for it. But do that stuff after you've gotten the fundamentals down and you've learned about fundamentals. Bonus if you learn about investing. Bonus if you learn about how to invest your wealth. Once you've gotten the money, that's another major thing. If, dear listener, if you invest, you know, 10% of your income every year, every time that you make a profit in your business, you invest it into the stock market in the S P 500 and continue to do that every single month, month over month, year over year. If you started doing that, let's say in COVID, you've you invested, who knows, 10,000, 20,000 something dollars. Um, according to calculations, I'm I'm pretty sure that based off of inflation and all that stuff, you have six figures in your bank account by now, just from investing. So it's really important for us to learn about the fundamentals of business, to learn about the fundamentals of finances, to learn about the fundamentals of this time and space realm, which is just as spiritual as all the other glitz and the glamour. I understand the pull of the glitz and the glamour because this world, this time and space realm, can feel very mundane. And it's very sometimes filled with friction and grief and sadness and unpleasantries and depression and anxiety and fear and pain and all that stuff. But all of that stuff is also part of the spiritual process. And also business, once, once again, and one last time, business is very spiritual in nature. It's not any more or less spiritual than the year of the fire horse. In fact, I think one of the most spiritual things that we can do in this time and space realm when it comes to our business is just look at it very plainly and say, who can I help? How can I help them? Let me get to work. What's the offer today? Okay, let's work the fundamentals and then let's invest the profits every single month and watch as magic unfolds. And the the year of the fire horse and all the quantum stuff. I mean, it'll be left in the dust, to be quite frank with you. All this stuff will be left in the dust behind you when you really focus and work the fundamentals. Huge hug. I'll talk to you in the next episode. Thanks so much for listening.
