Join me as we dive into the world of finance and discover the tools and strategies to help you achieve your financial goals. Let's get started! Have you ever dreamed of financial abundance? What if I told you that you can increase your wealth through the power of visualization? In this episode we'll explore the art of visualizing wealth and how it can transform your financial reality. Get ready to unlock your financial potential and manifest your dream life. When we first got into business, you know, I used to look around at. All these successful investors and think, gosh, like I wish I'd gotten in this sooner or they're so lucky or they, you know, you just have a different perspective of, I guess, curiosity of how did they get where they are. And I realized unintentionally as we were building our business, That in a way we were visualizing our future. We knew that when our son was born, we wanted to be financially free, at least to the point where we didn't have to work a 40 hour a week job. And that vision was so clear for us. And we took that vision and broke it into goals and daily action items. And, you know, all the things you're supposed to do unintentionally, we weren't really following a process. We just kind of did what worked for us. And it led to us reaching this level of financial freedom that I don't think we would have had if we didn't have these core principles of visualization and goal setting in our life. And as we are transitioning into the more of this coach and mentor role in our community and with our clients, I see how important the mindset is. And it's not just about chasing a dollar. It's about chasing a life and having a clear vision for your life and knowing exactly what you want to get out of your business is the number one thing that's going to lead to your success. Because at the end of the day, what if you build a business that's not aligned with your life vision? It would all be for nothing. So it starts with having that clear picture of where you want to go and then implementing practices to help you visualize it. And I know so many people struggle to believe and their financial potential, but I wanted to help you change that today. I have a couple of quotes cause I love good quotes. Wayne Dyer said the most powerful weapon on earth is the human mind. And it's so true. And I, It's unexplainable to me. I don't have the words to really convey how I have seen this in my life. But I know when I am crystal clear on what I want, and the steps in motion, God in the universe just conspires to give me what I'm seeking. And, I mean, Tony Robbins says, Where attention goes, energy flows. And we know scientifically, we know. But everything is energy. And if you are focused on negative things in your life, that's where the energy is going to flow. And that's what you're going to get more of when you focus on your goals and where you want to be and having that vision for your future, you can achieve it in ways that seems impossible. It's crazy. Like I, I don't know, I don't know how to explain it, but I know people have a hard time reaching their goals and they wind up either taking on too much or doing the wrong action. They lose the motivation. I mean, building a business or investing is really hard and it's simple, but it's not easy a lot of times. And it takes a lot of grit and effort, especially in a changing economy. I mean, things have shifted so much in the last year and I think that's going to just continue to shift and it's hard to stay motivated and focused on that drive when you don't have that clear vision for your future. And it can lead to you feeling like you're stuck in a financial rut. Like you can't get ahead. Like you're constantly. Spending more than you make or money just disappears the cash vacuum. It's like a black hole that just sucks all the money away and It's demeaning at times and demoralizing and you just it gets to put you in that black hole And if you don't have that clear vision That is what's gonna pull you out of that black hole. And I mean that leads to Self doubt and limiting beliefs and all these negative, gross, icky, slimy things come up. And really what causes that is not having focus and clarity on the future. And a strong ability and your potential to reach this success. Limiting beliefs, those are such a nasty, I just got the picture of the Mucinex guy, like the little mucus blob. He is our limiting beliefs, and he's there yelling at you Oh, you don't need that medicine, you don't need that thing. I mean, not promoting medicine, but saying he's almost like the little, the devil and the angel saying, hey, don't chase that thing, because it's not gonna give you what you want. But you know that's what you want out of life. And these limiting beliefs lead to negative self talk. I mean, how often have you looked at something and said, oh, I can't do that. Or that's not for me. I'm not that kind of person. I'm not meant for that. What we say about ourselves, the, I am statements or I am not statements are so critical and steering our future and our potential. And when you get clear on where you want to be and create those positive affirmations around it, it can lead to unlimitless potential. And I have, I mean, I've seen it in my own life. Just changing small thought patterns has completely changed my life. And I know when I have a clear vision for my future, it leads to everything that I want. I, personally, have gotten really good at building vision boards. And it's something that really helps me. I like the visual representation. I like being able to see it. I put it on my phone background. I put it on my desktop background. Sometimes I'll print it out and have it on my desk. And it's so fun to look at it six months or a year later and see those things lining up. But the problem is you have to be super clear on what you want. And when you have vague or unrealistic goals, that's going to lead to you not being able to achieve the vision and then decrease that motivation and willpower and all of that. So we want to make sure we have obtainable goals. I mean, SMART goals are, it's a great framework as a starting place. So you want to make sure they're specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time bound. When we're visualizing, you don't have to put a timeline on it. It can be 10 years in the future. I personally have a hard time visualizing 10 years in the future because that means I'll have a 14 year old, a 12 year old and a nine year old. That seems mind boggling to me with the kids we have now in the pregnancy. But if you can visualize that far in the future, that's great. I'm more like a year to three years down the road. What will my life ideally look like? But you want to be clear on where you want to go and make sure it's reasonable. And I can't remember who said it, I'm going to butcher this, but it's, I want to say it was Warren Buffett. I don't think it was though. We can obtain more in 10 years than we think we can, but we also think we can obtain more in a year than we really can. So when you're planning out your future, set big goals for 10 years or five years or three years, whatever that long term horizon is, because usually you can achieve more in that longer term horizon than you think. But when you're setting goals for a shorter horizon, make sure they're really obtainable and reasonable. Making sure that you have those limiting beliefs handled and that you're acknowledging them when they pop up. I mean, I know there are times that I'm like, I have a thought and I'm like, whoa, where did that come from? And I really dig into it and try to uncover why I'm having that thought. So while you're doing this, make sure you're addressing those limiting beliefs. And not just relying on pure motivation to get things done. Motivation is great and willpower is great. There's a great book. Willpower doesn't work, I believe is the title. I want to say it's Ben Hardy. I'm like, I'm quoting all the things without the reference. So I apologize for that today, but, it's having the systems and the actions in place and the consistent habits that lead to the results. So don't just rely on motivation and willpower to get things done. And you want to make sure you're not focused on negativity and the obstacles and all the, you know, the bad things that could potentially happen. We want to focus on the potential and what we are trying to achieve. So when you have a strong vision for your financial future, you want to have a clear vision. The mindset mentor podcast, he talks about how he wanted to make a trip to Italy. So he, every morning with his coffee, would visualize himself sitting at a cafe in Italy drinking coffee. And he would sit there and literally smell the coffee and put himself, visualizing himself in that place in Italy. And I thought that was such a good example because it creates that tangible view. So you want to make it as realistic as possible when you're doing a visualization exercise. I have gotten to where I use certain sounds and scents, like I have a candle that I'll burn when I'm really focused on visualizing in the future, and it really takes me into that centered and grounded place. So you want to make sure that you're looking at your future with a clear picture. You're embodying the emotions. So what is it gonna feel like when you reach it? And you want to act as if you already have whatever that future is. Because as you're visualizing, if you have this desperate energy behind it, you're not going to get it. Because things that happen in our reality happen because we feel as if they're there already. So if your goal is to make, let's say 10, 000 a month passively, you want to sit there and visualize the day that you get your first 10, 000 passive check, and how you feel about it, and celebrating that, and enjoying it. and really believe that you can accomplish it. That is going to be the key to reaching that. You want to harness the power of your mind to reach these goals because if your mindset is going in one direction and your actions are going in a different, your mindset is going to pull you further. So it's like a game of tug of war. And if your mind is pulling you away from the action, you're not going to get where you're trying to go because you'll, Subconsciously sabotage yourself or you'll make decisions that just don't align I've seen it in our finances and i've talked about this on previous episodes, but we had a very Clear pattern in our life and finances over extending and then burning out. And the way that looked financially is we would take on an investment property. We'd put every penny we had into it, and then we would start leveraging debt to finish the deal out. And then we would do a refinance and the cash that we got out of that refinance would pay back everything. But it was such a yo up and down, and it was with our time and energy as well. We would be so exhausted after we'd say, Oh, we're not doing any more deals for a while. And then we'd go do another deal. So finding those shifts and that pattern, I guess in our life really helped us to get clear on how we can clear up some of these patterns and limiting beliefs to really help us reach our future goals. So harnessing your mind, create a vision that really excites you. You want this to be something that makes you want to get out of bed. I remember as a kid. like field trip days or what was the water day we always did at the end of the year in elementary school? I can't remember, but those special days were so exciting that it was easy to get out of bed those days. Like you ran out of bed or Christmas morning. Oh my gosh. Think about Christmas morning. You have no problem getting up at 4am for Christmas, but on a normal day, it's I don't want to do that. So as you're building out what you're visualizing, you want to make sure it has that Christmas morning or that field trip morning feel. Something that's just so exciting that you just can't wait and you want to make sure that you're building a belief system around it to really support it. Why does all this matter? You want to unlock your subconscious mind's potential. The majority of our brain power is subconscious and we don't even know it. I mean, you're not thinking right now about breathing or drinking the water or whatever it is you're doing. So many of our bodily functions are happening without us actively thinking about it. I mean, I'm sitting here recording this podcast episode and growing a human being. I'm not thinking about what needs to happen to help this little human develop. It just happens subconsciously. When you can leverage that portion of your brain to help you reach your goals, it is insane the trajectory and the growth that you can reach. And relying on just your conscious thoughts will get you so far. But if you can leverage your subconscious mind, it'll get you there so much faster and more effectively and it'll help you reach the goals that really matter to you. So really tapping into your heart and what's your purpose on this earth. And when you're aligned with your reason for being here and doing things that just make you energized and excited and you're doing the things you love, the universe will conspire to make that happen. We have to get rid of those limiting beliefs and those negative thoughts. And we can do that with positive affirmations. There are tons of resources out there to help you with that, but making sure that affirmations are things that are believable and really impactful can help you drive yourself to that next level. I absolutely love the Miracle Morning framework, and it's funny, the more I dig into the personal growth world and development, I see that what Hal Elrond has built in that is snippets of stuff in the spiritual community, it's snippets from stuff in the business world. It's so comprehensive and it's so interesting because if you can do the Miracle Morning, you're literally tackling all of these things. So if you're not familiar with it, research it. It's the savers. Visualizing is one of the steps in it. Affirmations is a step. So it's stuff we're talking about here, but visualizing can help fuel your motivation and drive and inspire you to take that big action that you need to take. And it can overall impact your wellbeing and just make you happier. I mean, when you start your day, living in joy and gratitude and seeing your future. in this positive light, it's just gonna make you happier instead of looking at things, you know, from a woe is me perspective. So I know Eric and I have both done a lot of visualizing over the years and it has helped us so much in changing our perspective. And it's also helped us realize that things that we were chasing were not necessarily the things that we needed to be chasing. And it just, I can't sing enough praises. For visualizing because it is, it's been everything for us. And we built the dream life university course to help real estate investors get clear on their vision and then take that and put it into actionable steps. So if that's something you're interested in, shoot me an email. And I'd love to connect you with Eric so you can get in touch with him about it. But, this is so critical. If you don't have a clear vision for your life and you're not sitting in the energy of that vision, at least once a week, ideally daily, but at least once a week, it's, you're fighting against yourself. And then digging into those limiting beliefs and all the objections and negative self talk. If we can master our minds, we can control the world. I firmly believe that. And I want to help you reach that next step. So if you're interested, I have a visualization framework on the website that you can use to kind of take that first step. And if you're interested in some guided visualizations, I can definitely direct you to other resources. This is an outline of a visualization for you to do, and you're just going to sit in that vision for your future and where you want to be. So if that's something you're interested in, check out the show notes, the links there. And I'd love to hear what your vision is and any success stories you've had around visualization. So shoot me an email Tiffany at energetic CFO. com. So next week, we're going to dive into one of my favorite books in wealth building, the richest man in Babylon.
