Speaker 1:

Hello, ladies, welcome to God is Real Love podcast girl podcast, where we help you understand your identity in Christ by diving into his word, where we explore faith, self-love and the incredible journey of walking with him. I'm your host, ellen Bodeau, and I'm excited to have you here today. Let's get started. So I want to share with you what God had poured into my heart at five in the morning yes, five in the morning. So my pastor, dr Phil, has this thing that he says during his sermons. He says you will see, you will understand it, at three in the morning. And that is no lie, because sometimes God will wake me up, whether between three and five in the morning, to either pray for somebody, pray for myself, or to get the word out to the world. And this is what he's doing today. So we're going to get the word out. So there was a time when I felt exhausted, just drained, overwhelmed, and I felt like I was just kind of existing, a numb feeling. But then God met me in my room. I would never forget the hug that he gave me. It was filled with just pure love. It was beyond words, and it was through my twin sister that I felt the presence of God. She hugged me so tight. Even in the midst of everything that I've done, the sins I have committed, the pain that I went through, god still loves me. He still choose me because he loves me, because I am his daughter. You see, god loves the sinner but hates the, and that truth is overwhelming because it defies everything that the world teaches about love. Here's the thing about God he takes everything that we think that disqualifies us the pain, the mistakes, the dirt and he covers it. When he died on the cross for us, all that went away. It didn't matter no more. It doesn't matter no more. So when we invite Jesus into our lives, he gives us a new identity. He makes us new like new wine, let's say, a glass of Chardonnay or Cabernet. He shows us that we are enough, that we are his, carried in his loving arms.

Speaker 1:

Unfortunately, us women want to do things on our own. We make things harder than it needs to be because we rely on our own works, because y'all want to be independent women so bad. But god wants us to have a soft life. He wants us to be a soft girl. I'm not saying that he's doesn't want us to work hard. No, because faith without works is dead. What I'm saying is he wants us to not rely so much on ourselves, because he said his yoke is easy and his burden is light. Jesus is willing to carry that burden for you.

Speaker 1:

If you just ask, there is a big difference between relying on ourselves and relying on God. See, when we rely on ourselves, we're relying on our limited strength and we use affirmations to lift us up like I am blessed, I am loved, I am valued. We use those affirmations apart from God, and when we do that, that's a problem, because we are limited creatures. But when we invite the great I am the great, I am Yahweh, the almighty God everything changes. He takes us beyond our limits, he empowers us and sustains us. When we can no longer go, it's like when I okay, okay. So when I okay, okay.

Speaker 1:

So when I was a kid, I used to watch this anime called Dragon Ball Z 90s, early 2000s. Babies, y'all know what it is Dragon Ball Z. Okay, there was a character called Goku, and when Goku was fighting, there was a time when he could not fight no more. There was a limit that he got to and when that limit hit, he would hit different type of levels of super saiyan. That's the same thing.

Speaker 1:

When you tap into God, when you tap into God, he super saiyans everything. Everything. He gives us strength, identity and purpose. God doesn't love us for what we do. He loves us for who we are. It is in him we find our identity. It is in him we find our value and it is in him we understand the true love of God. We understand the definition of true love.

Speaker 1:

Ladies, this is what the podcast is about Understanding who you are in Jesus Christ. Because when you know who you are in Christ, whatever the devil has to say it doesn't matter. We walk in confidence, knowing we are chosen, loved and valued in and by the great. I am, the almighty god. When moses encountered the burning bush in exodus 3, verse 14, he asked god, who do I say? Sent me? God said I, I am, that I am. That wasn't just a name, that was a declaration. I am means Yah, all efficient and limitless For us. It's easy to forget that our identity is in him, because we live in a world where we attach our identity to things, to our achievements, to what the world tells us. But the truth is, our identity is rooted in who Yah is. The beauty of I am is that it doesn't stop with Yah. If you align your life with him, his sufficiency overwhelms into your identity. So the last episode, I told you what the whole podcast is about.

Speaker 1:

Now I'm going to tell you what the series of the podcast is about. Drum roll, please. This series is called the 12 Truths About about me, the affirmation series. We all know the affirmations I am loved, I am valued, I am blessed. In the beginning of the podcast, I did talk about how the world uses the affirmations apart from god. Well, in this we'll be using God with the affirmations, because I am blessed and I'm loved and I'm favored in God. So I invite you, ladies, to tap into him. Let's remain in him as he remain in us. Let's discover identity in Jesus Christ together. Share this podcast with a friend, family, neighbor, co-worker just anybody. Anybody that needs to hear this podcast, anybody that needs to be told and reminded that they are loved by the great I am. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I can't wait to see what God has in store for us. Until next time, ladies, remember God is real love. Take God with you and he will take you far. Y'all have a blessed day, ladies.
