We’re coming to you Live, from the 10th NCACI Holy Convocation in Stamford, Connecticut, and we put a spotlight on preserving apostolic doctrine by refusing to deviate from the pattern Jesus gave the apostles. We also challenge the habits that keep us stuck, then speak life to the people who need steady encouragement to show up and grow.
Welcome From Holy Convocation
SPEAKER_00Grace and peace, grace and peace, grace and peace, grace and peace. Welcome to another rendition of the Moral Compass Chronicles. I'm your man, I'm your boy, I'm your brother, uh, I'm whoever you need me to be. My name is Eon J. You know you can find me everywhere and anywhere, and specifically right now. You can find me at Holy Convocation 2026. Shout out to the NCACI, shout out to all my brothers and sisters, shout out to being behind the camera right now. Um, much love to everybody, man. We are here. We're in Connecticut. This is a special chronicle right now. This is a very special chronicle. Um, this is our 10th year, 10th year anniversary for the NCACI. Um, it's a special time, man. I'm seeing the Saints walking by. My brother Matthews over there right there. You know what I'm saying? I'm seeing everybody, and and it's actually a real beautiful thing. Um, I'm really enjoying myself. Really enjoying myself, man. You see me saying what's up to the people. And so um, I was actually sitting down in another area of this hotel, um, and I was having a conversation with one of my sisters. Shout out Sav. Um, we actually had a really good conversation, kind of went from topic to topic, and the thought came to me. I think it's perfect, it was a perfect one for this, I guess, first um convocation um edition of the Chronicles. Um, it actually the thought came to me upstairs in my room when I was doing a few things, and then it came back around while we were talking. And the thought was about us as individuals, especially us, like bro. I always you've heard you hear me say this all the time. Certain conversations that we have are conversations for a very specific set of people, right? Not every conversation on every single chronicle is for everybody. That's just the truth. I I hate to say it like that, but that is the truth. That is the truth. We know who the moral compass is, we know who the standard is. His name is Jesus, and we we I don't want to, you know, hit y'all over the head with that right now, especially given our topic.
What Apostolic Doctrine Means
SPEAKER_00Our topic is preserving the apostolic doctrine, preserving the apostolic teachings. What are those apostolic teachings? First and foremost, the doctrine of Jesus Christ Himself, who came from heaven to earth to show us the way, right? From the earth where to the cross, why our death to pay, from the cross where to the grave, from the grave then where back to the sky. And that's why we lift his name on high. So Jesus being born, right, dying for our sins, crucified, and being buried, and then the most important part the resurrection, Jesus rising from the grave himself. Um, that is, and then now the teachings that he gave to us while we were on earth, what we are supposed to be doing, um, how we're supposed to be living, the the teachings and the doctrines that he passed down to his 12 disciples, right? And he spoke unto them the word of life, he spoke unto them the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. Amen. And so now I'm not here trying to preach for real, but uh from that the apostles took the teaching and they were told now by Jesus Himself to go out into all the world, preach the gospel, um, uh, baptize in the name of Jesus, right? The name of the Father and the name of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. We know his name is Jesus through divine revelation, the same revelation that came through the Holy Ghost to the apostles, the same revelation that came um on unto the apostle Paul and all the rest, right, is the same revelation that I have, that that name is Jesus. Okay? And so this is this is the apostolic doctrine that we are trying to preserve. The topic um from Minister Yvonne Blackwood tonight was, and I'm supposed to be giving you my thought from earlier. I'm gonna get there, right? But the topic from Minister Blackwood tonight was was about uh the uh uh what was it? What was it being? The pattern.
Follow The Pattern
SPEAKER_00The pattern. It's so funny. Like a year or so ago, I heard Bishop Edmund preach the same topic about not deviating from the pattern, not deviating from the pattern. Her topic was follow the pattern. So the message I received tonight was not to deviate from the pattern, but what? But to follow the pattern. Once you identify that something is correct, once you identify that something is right, the apostolic doctrine is right, and whether you like it or not, it's right, it's true, right? And so once you identify it, you follow the pattern and you make sure you don't deviate from it. Okay, and so that's that's what we're talking about. That's the conversation we've been having from yesterday. Um, and we're gonna be coming all the way to Sunday. Um, and so now the thought that came to me earlier today, that it then came back when I was talking to my sister Savannah, the thought that came to me was about us who
When Convocation Is Not Priority
SPEAKER_00aren't making this a priority. And and this is loaded, so let me let me I might have to slow down a little bit. I might have to slow down just a little bit because this is this is a loaded thought. This is a loaded thought and a loaded topic. But I what comes to my mind, and what has come to my mind were the the ones of us who aren't going to be making it a priority to be here for this. This is biblical, convocation is biblical, the gathering of brothers and sisters together in the upper room. What did they do? They gathered together, and the spirit of the Lord fell upon them, all of them. The Holy Ghost was received for the first time by everyone who was gathered together on one accord. Convocation goes back to the book of Acts. It goes back to honestly, it goes back to the gospels for real. Jesus was gathering them together to break bread, gathering them together, to be on one accord, gathering them together to help one another, to reach the lost, to heal the sick, to raise the dead. We gather together to to study the scripture, and that's what convocation is about. That's what we're doing. That's what we're doing. And so I think about the people who the ones who need to be motivated, the ones who constantly need to be, you you you you you have to be chased. You you have to be you have and I don't know why the only word that's coming to me is motivated. But how how much motivation are you gonna need? Motivate, we know that motivation wears off, bro. Motivation wears off. So now we have to constantly be encouraged to do the things that we're supposed to do. That's what it was. The ones of us who constantly need to be encouraged and motivated and and chased down to do the things that we're supposed to be doing, and and and I'm speaking in the context of being in church, being among the brethren, coming out to convocation. You know, I mean people I've spoken to already that that that mentioned that they can't come or they're not, you know, they they not come until this and that because of this and that. Like I I like uh Lord. And you know, we knew about this from last year. We do it every year. We do it every year, we do it every single year, and we had the dates. We had this same date that was given to us for this convocation last year, the week after convocation, the dates dropped. And we actually we were told during convocation to start making preparations for next year to be here. You know
How You Do One Thing
SPEAKER_00how you do how you do one thing is how you do everything. How you do one thing is how you do everything. If you notice, you you ever you ever see somebody who I'm really just shooting off the top right now, but you ever see somebody who I mean just does does that thing in such a poor way, and they they they don't they don't care about you ever watch someone doing something and they just not care about the quality of their work, they just don't care about the quality or or what they're doing, they're not putting their best foot forward. Yo, more than likely, this ain't the only place, and especially if it's something they're really supposed to be like putting their best foot forward at, for real. I watch certain people do certain things, and I'm like, hmm, okay. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if I uh I don't know if I want you doing anything for me or with me because I know how you do things. I've seen you do something important before, and I watched you close. See, some people don't even know they're being watched sometimes. You gotta be careful, you gotta be careful about what you're doing and how you're doing it and who you're doing it around. You gotta be careful because like somebody you somebody may be watching you to potentially give you an opportunity at something else, and you don't even know that you're blowing an opportunity. You're blowing an opportunity because somebody was watching you, someone who could give you an opportunity elsewhere was watching you. A door could have been opened elsewhere, but somebody was watching you, and someone didn't like what they saw. Someone didn't like how they saw you do something, right? And so I I think about I think about these people who constantly need to be motivated, constantly need to be talked to, constantly constantly need to be encouraged to do the bare minimum, damn near. The bare minimum when it comes to the work of God, being a part of the body of Christ, being a part of the kingdom. You're a member at a church, and the bare minimum you have to constantly be encouraged to do, constantly. That's that's a that's a that's a bad look, that's a bad sign. And so allow me to encourage us again.
Remember Who Prayed For You
SPEAKER_00Allow me to continue to encourage, because that's a word that God has given me was to remember Eon. Number one, be mindful of how much help you needed at one point. I swear I'm a broken record these days. I'm a broken record. Why? Because God has He's given me something and it constantly comes out. It don't matter what I'm talking about, where I start, I find myself ending up in the same place. God has given me a mandate, I believe, even with the Moral Compass Chronicles, to what? Encourage to what? To speak life. And so what we do is we identify that which needs to be changed. We identify here what needs to be called out, we identify what needs to be spoken on and spoken against.
unknownRecord this.
SPEAKER_00Record this. What needs to be spoken on and spoken against. Right? We identify these things and then now we speak life to that situation. Then now we we uplift. Then we encourage. That's that's what we do. That's what we do at the Moral Compass Group. That's what the mandate is on my life, and God has called me to make sure I do not forget where I'm coming from, and how many people had to continue praying for me. How many people had me on their mind? They prayed and they continue to preach. They continue to carry out what Jesus, what the the the mandate or the assignment that Jesus gave to them, to the apostles that got passed down to the Bishop Smiths and the Bishop Dyer's and the Bishop Edmonds, so on and so forth. That's being passed down to the elders and the young ministers like myself. To continue to go out and preach the gospel, continue to encourage, continue to uplift, continue to speak life, continue to pray, continue to look out for the younger generation. I got one right here in front of me. Every time I see her, every time I talk to her, I'm reminded, every time she annoys me, every time she upsets me, I'm reminded. Yo, don't forget that somebody prayed for you and they didn't stop. Somebody encouraged you and they didn't stop. It doesn't matter where where I've gone and what I've done. I show back up into refuge, and my pastor is there to encourage me. He embraces me. Right? Thankful, you know. Thankfully, I'm past those days of you know cutting up for real. You know, I'm not perfect, but I ain't cutting up the way I once did. But I gotta remember where I'm coming from, and that that's the purpose of the Moral Compass Chronicles. That's the purpose of my life to help somebody as I'm traveling along. That is the only way my living won't be in vain. That's it right there. So,
Parties Cannot Grow You
SPEAKER_00to you who needs the constant encouragement, yo, we're gonna clip this for you. So if you're not listening to the podcast, you're gonna get this on Instagram. You're not listening to the podcast, you're gonna get this on TikTok, you're gonna get this on YouTube. I pray that it finds somebody first for the person who constantly needs encouragement. Here's your encouragement. The person who constantly needs to be reminded of what you are called to do. You're a child of God, and you have an assignment, you have a calling on your life that God has given to you. And the same way somebody was patient with me, so that the assignment that's on my life can't God can get the glory and it can come to fruition. That's what I'm doing for somebody else. And I will not stop. So, to the person who knows what they should be doing, you know you should be here. I'm gonna pray I could get this out to you this week. You know you should be here, and you're not, and and you may not even have plans to be here. But I'm gonna pray for you and I'm gonna encourage you that you can find your ass here. Can I can I talk it like it is? Find your ass here, bro. Where where you where where you at? I don't know who I'm talking to in the spirit. Where you at? That same song playing over and over again at whatever party you go to, same joint, and you don't get tired of that. What are you what are you really doing? Lord help me. What what are we what are we doing? Mosquito wants the word. What what are we doing? What are you doing? There were times in my life I had to speak that to myself, Eon. What are you doing? Where are you going? Why are you going there? Doing that same thing. And if you continue to do what you've always done, you will continue to get what you have always gotten. If if the party and the fete and the carnival is what you always do, I promise you, you will not grow. You will stay in that same place. There's no growth there. There is nothing for you there, nothing of true benefit, nothing of true value. I don't know who I'm talking to. I'm talking to you. Oh man. Oh, yeah, this is it right here. The carnival, the fete, the party, the club, the the concert. Yo, if it's not Christ-centered, there is nothing for you there. There is no true value, there is nothing for you to gain there. But you have everything to gain here in the church. The church represents God Himself. We are the church. So when you gather yourself among the church, you have heaven to gain. Oh man, I tell you, that's a that's a word. Yo, I hope somebody somewhere receives this. There are no notes for this one.
Final Encouragement And Blessing
SPEAKER_00It was a Holy Ghost thought that dropped into my spirit, and from that comes this an encouragement to you. Somewhere, under the sound of my voice, there's a mezzanine above me. If you can hear me, I pray you're encouraged. We're in the lobby right now, a beautiful lobby area. It's called a pavilion in this hotel. And I pray somebody who was passing by is encouraged. I pray my sister who was working with me. Shout out to Sabina here, working with the Moral Compass group. I pray you're encouraged, my sister. I pray my listeners are encouraged. Our listeners, we're doing this together. I love you. I'm praying for you. And until we meet again, which we will this week, this is the Moral Compass Chronicles. Shout out to my brother DJ just coming down. Love this guy. If I had another microphone, I'd give it to him. But until next time, we'll see you guys this week.
