I'm Alison Curfman. I am a practicing pediatric emergency physician, startup founder and advisor. A few years ago, I started a company called Imagine pediatrics. We focus on caring for kids on Medicaid with complex chronic medical needs. In under two years, we grew to over 300 employees, served more than 25,000 kids and hit a nine figure valuation. Now I spend my time helping early stage companies build clinical models and come up with creative ways to make a real impact. I've been a consultant, advisor, board member, founder, fractional chief medical officer and full time chief medical officer for companies that are tackling big challenges in healthcare. Honestly, it's the most exciting and creative work I've ever done. And through all of this, I've learned a lot things that I wish someone had taught me when I first started out. That's why I'm here to share what I've learned so you can use your expertise to make a difference and build a career that excites you. 

Every week, we'll dive into topics like how to position yourself in the startup world, build a personal brand, create marketable services and figure out roles that fit your goals and lifestyle, you'll hear from doctors who already made the leap into startups, as well as leaders from private equity and venture capital, who will share why physician voices are so critical in healthcare.
