In this episode, I, Rebecca sit down with Ric Ross to discuss his incredible journey from working in radio promotions with the biggest Black artists to rediscovering his love for running and ultimately owning Big Peach Running Co in South Fulton, GA—becoming the first Black owner in the franchise's history.

Ric shares how his 20-year friendship with Big Peach founder Mike led to this moment, his passion for serving the community, and how witnessing racial injustice in the U.S. pushed him to take action and invest in the running space through ownership. He also opens up about his longtime partner and wife, Dawn, his dedication to customer education, and his commitment to ensuring every runner finds the right shoes.

Beyond business, Ric is deeply involved in giving back to the community. Through his nonprofit, Music Education Group (MEG), he teaches life skills to youth through music, helping to shape the next generation. He and his wife, Dawn, also dedicate their philanthropic efforts to bettering the community through running fundraisers, investing in high school track programs, and advocacy. This episode is awesome!
