Welcome to the Unlimited Auto Wash podcast. Get ready to discover the secrets to keeping your car looking spotless and new. Here's your host, Kevin Dalton, owner of the Unlimited Auto Wash, ready to make your ride shine like never before.
Speaker 2:So what's the secret sauce behind unlimited auto wash that keeps cars gleaming, customers smiling and competitors scratching their heads wondering how do you do it? Surely there's more than just soap and water. Welcome back everyone. Do you do it? Surely there's more than just soap and water. Welcome back everyone. I'm Sophia Yvette, co-host slash producer, back in the studio with Kevin Dalton. Kevin, how's it going today?
Speaker 3:Well, fine. Thank you very much, Sophia.
Speaker 2:Great. So, kevin, how does the unlimited auto wash differentiate itself from competitors in the car wash industry?
Speaker 3:Well, thank you for asking.
Speaker 3:Our process is when you come in, you get your ticket and when we wash the car, we're using a neutral soap, which means it's not harsh to your paint or your wax that you've recently put on or your ceramic coating or your PPF film or your wrap if your car is wrapped and then we hand wash that car with that neutral soap so it gives your car a brilliant shine.
Speaker 3:It doesn't disturb the wax, like I mentioned, on your car. Even detailers that come to your house recommend us to come to us for problem situations. Plus, we have our unlimited club, which means you can pay a flat fee a month and come all month long, as often as you'd like, and we'll hand wash your car every time. And, of course, we're full service, so we'll do your interior, clean your wheels, tire shine, everything imaginable we do. Our membership club allows you to come, like I said, as often as you'd like and we won't damage your car like those machine washes that you occasionally drive through with all those wrap belts, straps that come and hit your car relentlessly. We just don't do that. So that's our secret sauce is we hand wash.
Speaker 2:So, kevin, I know you have quite a few locations. How do you maintain consistent quality across all locations?
Speaker 3:Well, that's a good question. This is a family-run business. I have my brother and my nephew working for us so we're able to hit all the locations almost every day. On Monday mornings, we have all of our managers come into our office in Jupiter, florida, and we sit down and have a meeting to discuss any issues that may have arisen last week maybe equipment or personnel and we fix those issues. I think the great thing is keeping the managers all involved and being very consistent with our message to the managers and the manager's message to the employees.
Speaker 2:Let's get into the customer's feedback a bit. What role does customer feedback play in shaping your unique offerings?
Speaker 3:Absolutely Well. I am relentless when it comes to watching reviews come in, whether they're 90%, 95% great, 5%, really good. And, of course, that occasional customer that doesn't understand maybe what wash they were supposed to get or why didn't something come with this wash, even though it's only listed on our hire wash package. I make sure to call or contact any customer that didn't have a great customer experience or at least reply to everyone, thanking them for sending a review to us. So it's very important to keep the customer interaction from the upper management level.
Speaker 2:So let's get into those reviews a bit. If they are reviews that are a bit more negative, how do you go about handling those reviews?
Speaker 3:Well, for example, a scrape on the side of a car. Customer comes back three hours later and says this scratch on my car was definitely not here when I got my car washed. You all did it Well. Luckily, at all of our locations we have multiple high definition cameras, all being recorded in high definition, and we can go back and watch almost every inch of your car before it entered into our possession or wash area. And 99% of those we discover there's the issue right there. It was already here when you came in.
Speaker 3:We apologize, but please don't feel embarrassed, or anything like that. Another one would be I'm missing my ear pods out of my car and we'll have our manager dive into that card, look all around and again, five times out of 100, we find that item in the car, or a customer will call back three hours later and apologize oh my gosh, I just found them here at home. So our work crew is so honest and they love doing what they do and we just. We're just so blessed, but we were able to fix 95 percent of our issues with our customers without it escalating. So we've just got great review ratings and I'm just so appreciative of that.
Speaker 2:And at the Unlimited Auto Wash. What is the most unique feature you guys have in your car wash?
Speaker 3:Oh well, I'll tell you what. The most unique feature that we don't have in our car wash is machinery. We don't have machinery relentlessly hitting your car, trying to clean your car with aggressive soap. We use a very mild, neutral soap and we hand wash your car. But to answer your question then correctly would be our personnel, our people, my co-workers. They're just wonderful, wonderful people. We've been very fortunate and blessed to have hired who we have. We have about 160 employees working, the vast majority full time, and 30 or 40 that work part-time. But they love what we do, they love what they do, I love what I do. We keep them happy. They're paid very well and tipped very well and that's the main thing Customers love what they see and they tip them very well. So they're very happy employees and they'll go above and beyond love it.
Speaker 2:Kevin. We'll catch you in the next episode. Have a fantastic rest of your day well, thank you thanks for listening to the unlimited auto wash podcast.
