Confidence Isn’t Born — It’s Built (One Post at a Time)

Ready for a reframe that actually sticks? We’re pulling confidence off the pedestal and putting it back in your hands with simple, repeatable actions you can do between school runs, client calls, and bedtime stories. No fluff, no perfection, just the honest truth about how boldness gets built in real life.

We start by tearing down three stubborn myths: that confident women are born different, that you should wait to show up until you feel ready, and that nobody cares what you have to say. Then we move straight into practice. You’ll get a mom-tested confidence builder checklist: a three-day posting streak to gather evidence fast, a private pep talk recording that reveals your inner coach, and a commitment to celebrate the awkward as proof of movement. Along the way, we share stories—from sweaty first lives to filter-free posts—that highlight how small, shaky steps compound into real visibility and momentum.

This conversation is a lifeline for entrepreneur moms balancing ambition with nap schedules. We treat visibility like construction, not performance: each story, reel, or note of encouragement is a brick. Bricks become walls, rooms, and eventually a home for your dream. You don’t need to be viral to be valuable; being visible is enough to change a life, often your own first. We invite you to tag your brave posts, DM your wins, and lean into a community that believes in practice over perfection and evidence over excuses.

Subscribe, share this with a woman who needs the nudge, and grab the free visibility checklist in the show notes. Leave a review to help more women find their voice—and tell us: what brave brick are you laying today?

Every review, every share, every message helps us reach and raise up more unmuted women.

SPEAKER_00:

Welcome back to the Unmuted CEO Podcast. I'm your girl Tammy, your confidence and visibility coach for entrepreneurs who are building empires while they're building little humans. If you're listening in your car, sneaking some me time in the closet, or tuning in after bedtime, I'm right here with you. Before we get deep, do me a favor, sis. Hit follow or subscribe. And if this episode speaks to you, share it with another woman who needs that reminder. Her voice matters. That's your only ticket in today. Okay, let's dig in. Sis, can we have a real moment? When people look at confident women online, those ones who show up bold, who post their stories, who teach, who sell, who get in front of the camera and just go. We act like they came out of the womb with all that shine. Like they got a sprinkle of extra in the delivery room, right? But let me tell you something from the heart. Confidence isn't born. It's built. And it's built one post, one awkward video, one little leap at a time. Let me start by keeping it all the way real about my own journey. There was a time when just the thought of going live made me sweat. And I'm not talking cute, glowy sweat, sis. I'm talking real under the bra. Do I have the owner in my purse? Kind of sweat. Would overthink every word, second guess every photo, analyze my voice, my hair, my whole existence. Why? Because I thought confidence was something you had to wait for. Like one day I'd just wake up and feel ready. But you know what actually happened? Every time I posted something scared, every time I hit go live nervous, every time I let my voice shake and did it anyway, I stacked a little bit of confidence, brick by brick, messy, uneven, sometimes wobbly bricks, but bricks all the same. So today, I want to tear down three lives that keep us from building that confidence muscle. And then I'm gonna give you practical mom life tested ways to start stacking your own confidence today. One post at a time. Let's start with line number one. Confident women are just born that way. No, sis. Confidence is like a muscle. And muscles are built by use, not just desire. If you see a woman online who seems fearless, I promise you, she's had to work through fear so many times that courage is just her new normal. She wasn't born bold, she practiced it. Just like you practice patience with your kids, and Lord knows, some days it's a test. You practice confidence by showing up before you feel ready. Here's a little mom moment for you. When my twins were babies, I had no idea what I was doing. I'd Googled just about everything. But guess what? Every bottle I made, every diaper I changed, every sleepless night I survived, I built confidence. Not all at once, but little by little, showing up again and again. The same goes for business, for visibility, for post it online. You get better and braver by doing, not by waiting. Lie number two, if I'm not confident, I should wait until I am before I show up. Sis. Confident is not the requirement. It's the result. Let me say that again. Confidence is not the requirement. It is the result. If you wait until you feel ready, you'll still be waiting until next year. Your brain will always find a reason to stall. But the only way to get better at posting, at showing up, at being visible, is to show up, shaky and unsure, and let practice make it easier. I remember the first time I recorded a story with no filter. My hair was doing its own thing. I thought, who's gonna listen to this? But I did it. And the next day, mom DM'd me. Thank you for being real. You made me feel like I can do it too. Sometimes your confidence is hiding on the other side of that one messy post. Let's get actionable. I want to give you my confidence builder checklist. Things you can start today, no matter how nervous you feel. Set a three-day posting streak. Don't overthink it. Just commit to post something. A story, a reel, a photo, a thought. Three days in a row. Each day, write down how you felt before, during, and after you post it. Notice how your fear shrinks as your evidence grows. Next, record a pep talk to yourself. Open up your camera, hit record, and talk to yourself like you talk to your best friend. Tell yourself what you're proud of, what you survived this week, what you're doing right now. Don't post it. Just watch it back. You're here the coach in you. And finally, celebrate the awkward. That weird smile, that shaky voice, the background noise. It's all proof you're moving. Confidence is built by collecting small wins, not by waiting for big ones. Line number three, nobody cares what I have to say. Sis, this one is personal. Because for years I muted myself. Not because I didn't have ideas, but because I thought, who am I to speak? Who am I to teach? But here's the thing. There are women right now praying for a voice like yours to show up in their feed. They need your story, your lessons, your encouragement. Even if you're only a step ahead, that's enough. You don't need to be the expert. You just need to be real. Let me tell you about a client of mine, Michelle. Michelle was quiet, gentle, and didn't think she had anything special to offer. But she started posting one confidence moment every Friday. Just a picture and a line about what she did scared that week. Six months later, her inbox was full of women saying, Your post helped me get out of bed. She didn't go viral. She got visible. And her confidence grew every week she did it scared. Since you don't need a huge breakthrough. You just need evidence that you can show up as you are and survive it. Let's do this together right now. Take out your phone, open your notes app, and write this at the top. I build confidence by showing up, not by hiding out. Every time you show up, count it. Story, that's a brick. Real, that's a brick. Encourage another woman, that's a brick. Bricks build walls. Walls build room. Rooms become homes. And sis, you're building a home for your dreams, one brick at a time. Let's talk about mom life for a second. Because I know the reality. Sometimes the bravest thing you do all day is post a messy, filtered video with your toddler screaming in the background. That's not failure. That's what courage looked like in real life. You're modeling confidence for your kids every time you show up, scared but faithful. One day, they'll remember you chasing your dream, not your light. So let's make it fun. If you post something brave this week, tag me or DM me, and let's celebrate together. I'll be your cheerleader, your accountability partner, your fellow awkward and awesome sis. Confidence is the conversation you have with yourself. It grows every time you keep a promise to you. And it compounds, sis. The more you keep showing up, the easier it gets. You don't have to do it alone. Our community is here for you. And if you want to share your confidence wins, just reach out. I'd love to highlight your journey. Alright, sis. As we wind down, remember, confidence isn't born. It's built. And it's built one post, one story, one small yes at a time. Thank you so much for spending this time with me today. If this little fire in your soul, don't keep it to yourself. Share with another woman who needs this word. And let's grow this movement together. I believe in you, and I hope you do too. See you next time, sis.
