So we thought that there's a lot of games coming out all the time. But right now we're in a phase where there's a lot coming out that might interest us. Yep. They're just four friends getting together and talking about what games are coming up and what we're what we're excited to see or play or curious about. Go with the flow. And I have my list of games that uh I'll bring up as we go, but I can't wait to see which ones we have that are the same and which ones that I don't have that I didn't really think about, and see how what what gets you excited about them. Like this is a brilliant episode. It's just you brought this up, and I thought that would it was a great idea and a great conversation to have.

Yeah, for sure. Well, it was in speaking about the good old days that I thought this list was kind of relevant. A lot of the games on this list are kind of callbacks to older games and some re-releases too. So the first one that's coming out pretty soon is the 007. So right away.

I I haven't played any, but I watched the trailer to this one and it looked pretty cool.

And one of them, I think, like I think there's one or two of them with Daniel Craig in it. Okay, okay. I think one of them is like the Quantum Insolace one, and then the other one I forget what it's called.

Yeah, it might have been an like off story, not like a movie, but just an additional story.

Yeah, yeah. And uh a bit of stealth, bit of uh shoot 'em up, fun games. So I I wonder what this one's gonna be like. Honestly, like I I after Goldeneye, I wasn't always over the top about the 007 games. Um but this one, yeah, let's let's give it a try.

Do you know do you know what I think is gonna be? It's gonna be indistinguishable from an uncharted game.

I do feel like they say that it's like between an uncharted and like a hitman kind of.

But Uncharted isn't it a lot of parkour like climbing? Like that's what I remember of Uncharted, so I don't see that being a main thing in the 707. Well the controls and combat, close combat. Okay, okay, okay. Uh one thing that when I looked up about that game that interests me is was there's a specific word. Oh okay, yeah. And I want to see if just by me saying this, you'll know what that specific word is. If you're thinking of some way to sell what it's what golden what 007 is going to be about, it's a specific word that me uh caught me caught me. So I want to see if there's something that comes up, if not, I'll just say it.

Well, I'm assuming besides Golden, I have never played a 0007 type uh game, right? Okay. Watch movies, but never played that. Uh, and when I was looking it up, the fact that it says it's gonna have cool gadgets. I'm like I told you I just want to see a cool watch, it does something cool, or yeah, you know, so so it's just gonna be a normal smart watch.

That was always fun though. Yeah, so for the gadgets part, I think that's gonna be cool. So you're saying Uncharted. I I I played one of the Uncharted's back in the day. I can't recall enough, uh, but I hope it's not.

I think it's a cinematic progression that's like Uncharted. Okay, maybe you you play and then you get to a cutscene and you just it it's very follow a story, yeah, very linear in that way. I think it's gonna be like that, not necessarily the all the game play, like the handling of the of the character might be a little different.

Because there's a lot of uh the combat combat is very similar to Uncharted, but also there's comparisons on on Twitter I saw where you saw Uncharted and then you saw uh 007 First Light, and there's like specific scenes that it's almost like frame per frame in terms of like what you're doing. So it's like if they didn't have the name there, you probably wouldn't be wouldn't be able to know the difference between which game, uh apart from the characters, obviously. There's a lot of stuff, but it's the good quality of the good parts of the game, I think.

Like that either so you don't think see that as a bad thing, you see it as a good thing, yeah.

Cause Uncharted, like it was successful because of that, the the un like the dramatic environment that like gets destroyed or flipped out or through the window. Yeah, and a jet ski and this year, yeah. So that's in there. So that's that type of thing is in there. So I think that's what is gonna draw people. Yeah. Okay.

The flow from cinematic to yes, just the trailer that I watched, I was like, hmm. It's pretty good. But trailers are easy to get. Yeah, yeah.

But I don't think a lot of the trailers with games are not gameplay, are not gameplay. Like there are no if I want to play a game, I yeah. Uh but when I'm watching a trailer like of a movie, yeah, I want it to be cool. But for a game, no, I'm watching it because I want to see if I want if if I want to vibe with that gameplay. Yeah, yeah. So yeah, it looks cool, but yeah, if I want to watch 007 movies, there are a lot out there that I can watch.

Yeah, but also like I watched trailers for like other games that you sent me, and some of them I was like, I watch like two seconds, like nope. No way, yeah. So I mean, yeah, you can tell like you can which games you'll vibe with and which ones you won't for sure. Yeah, okay, okay.

I'm pretty sure I'll have at least three more friends that will buy it because I Shane, you brought this idea up where I want to do a podcast of a month after playing, six months after playing, a year after playing. That's bad. I want to do a lot of uh few podcasts on this game because it will change. Yeah, what we do after a month of playing will be completely maybe a week. Like I don't even know. I'm ready to brainstorm this with you. Whoever is in my if in our group, the sphere.

I heard it's gonna be like 40 to 60 hours easy that game apparently game. It's gonna be the biggest one. And they also said like no AI that's gonna be used. Oh, that's it. So everything that's gonna be like mountains, cities, whatever, it's all gonna be like from a designer, artist, whatever. That's awesome. So no AI, no sloppiness. Yeah, everybody has their own story. Like let's say you I don't know, you rob a store, the store's gonna be closed for a little bit for investigation and stuff like that. If you set fire to a forest, the forest will stay messed up until like wildlife starts taking over.

You think that was a marketing strategy or it was really for purpose?

I feel like it was a marketing strategy to really get people like pissed off and then like wanting to get it, because they even had people like to us saying it was most certainly was not or it could be just because they're led by a British person.

Dr. Games, Dr. Games, yeah, help us. If the if the delay is so long because the people are overworked, then they could extend it, but they use it as a strategy itself, even though maybe it's both at the same time and it's serving itself.

It's pretty cool because like every action you have in this game or you do, you have like an echo to it. So like actions have consequences. Kind of like a butterfly effect, yeah, actions have consequences. Oh man, I'm so excited.

If this game brings that I have to play more than one character, I'm telling you right now, I will be pissed to death off. Like, that's why I didn't play GTA 5. Yeah, like for me, and whatever. Just jumping around to different. No, I want to invest in my character. If I'm doing one thing, like make me choose if the because obviously I think the cover has a guy and a girl. Like, whatever, make me choose. Tell me who I don't know. But the whole game. But I I want to be able to play and invest. If there's m an economy, I want right or something to go get some cards. Like, I don't know what if it's online.

Yeah, and I want to even with after the story or before the story or during, I want to live in this world and live my own life. I don't want to go bounds between different ones. Yeah, I guess. I agree. Right? You can play stock. Yeah. I heard you can do that in GTA 5. What I like, yeah. Right? But I don't want to have like if I hit something good with one character, then it moves me to the other. I'm like, oh man, I had a Porsche.

Um, I think my husband did. I they're not games that like I'm super attracted to. Okay. But my husband will probably pay full price for it, or I'll buy for him full price. I don't care. Like if he wants it, I'll buy it for it.

Um, I don't know if I'll play it. I'll start off by watching him play it for sure. And like hang out with him while he plays it if he does.

Dude, um you know how I said in the last podcast that um that uh what Game Versus Pub, the our little trans community is is doing, is it it's making me be open-minded on different games. But maybe at some point, like it'll get me a little bit more open-minded on online co-op right situations. I just I need to be exposed to it. The problem is I don't have the same schedule as you, as you, as you, so I don't I'm never in a situation where I can co-op. Yeah, yeah, right, and by the time I can game, and it's so goddamn limited, like I just want to be in my own little pool and do my thing, doing all the setups. Or I'm I'm in the basement and I can't co-op and start talking out loud in the house and waking everybody up. Like my kids will uh will sleep very you know, the time has to be so dedicated to the game.

So I do that. I do a thing where hey, every for the next whatever, every Thursday at from eight to ten, yeah, we're gaming together and we're doing this. Like I'd plan that if I can do that. Nice, but just randomly, like I won't start a co-op with somebody if if we never know when we're gonna get back to it.

My husband does every like Friday nights is his games night, like with his boys, and they just play games all night, and I'll just like read or I'll get onto like one of my games, but like every Friday night is like his time and it's his game night, and I go whatever.

Well, if you plan it, like with a busy life, you g I guess you gotta plan it. So hopefully I get to I get to live that point at some point. Yeah.

Like this game is gonna be big. Like Grand Theft Auto Five, they've been adding to the online content since it came out. I've got friends that have just started playing it now. Okay. And it's it's been out like it was out on how many consoles?

Yeah, I think I bought it on PS3, PS4, PS5. I bought it again or which one the the last Grand Theft Auto. Oh yeah. And they keep adding to the online content.

Kind of. Yeah, I I guess. People just keep on playing, though.

So what do we know about six? When is it coming out? Do we is is there a new proposed date?

I thought it was November. Maybe I'm wrong.

It got moves too many times, but I think right now the date is November something.

But I think before Christmas. Initial release date, November 19th, 2026.

After you play a modern Assassin's Creed and how hands-on every parkour, everything is like you cannot go play an old Assassin's Creed. I wanted to shoot the game. Yeah, is it like that? So so so so I was disappointed because I knew this game would be fun because I was up talked this game by more than you, by a lot of people. And I'm like, no, no, I can't. So I'm like, one day maybe.
