SPEAKER_04

Hey everybody.

SPEAKER_00

What's up?

SPEAKER_03

Hello.

SPEAKER_00

Hey everyone. Well, that wasn't chaotic at all. Oh wow. Good job, guys.

SPEAKER_03

For now.

SPEAKER_07

For now. Welcome to Game Verse Pub. I'm your host, Sean. We've got Platinum J over here. Thank you. Thank you. Our very own bit guy. That means beer guy. Yeah. In normal English.

SPEAKER_03

He's still here, still with us.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, absolutely. And we've got Olive Branch.

SPEAKER_03

There we go.

SPEAKER_07

Extend an olive branch. When you extend your arm like this, that's what it means, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I'm a dad. I can say bad dad jokes. Oh, wait, sorry.

SPEAKER_02

Shit, that was good.

SPEAKER_07

You think I'm going to cut that?

SPEAKER_02

Knee slapper.

SPEAKER_07

That's a knee slapper. Don't hurt yourself. Don't hurt yourself on account of my funniness. Okay, so uh we're gonna talk today about uh well, it's a special segment. Love Resident Evil, love it.

SPEAKER_03

I don't believe you.

SPEAKER_07

And all the things you've talked to me about since we've known each other. I'm like, hey, what type of podcast would you like to do? And he's like, Resident Evil. I'm like, yeah, I'm not gonna play that for a while. So others, let's just keep brainstorming. Right. But at some point, I think uh we couldn't wait for me to play them for you to talk about them. Right. Yeah. So I figured this type of segment would be perfect. Yeah. Where it's a segment on games to play with Platinum J, but this time Resident Evil games to play with Platinum J. Or what, nine Resident Evil games? Yes, nine. So you're gonna talk about the top three that you suggest people play. Oh, yeah. And since you're Platinum J and Platinum comes from the fact that you've earned that name because you've platinum the toughest games out there, well, people should listen to you.

SPEAKER_08

All right, people should least.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, like you got street cred, my friend. Thank you, thank you. Yeah, that's nice of me. So, um, so how about we get started? Sure. But first, what is the most important thing in the world?

SPEAKER_08

How do you do it? That's pretty good. That's pretty good.

SPEAKER_04

So um, I see uh you have some beer left over from a few weeks ago.

SPEAKER_08

Yep.

SPEAKER_04

Um there's something in it, but I think it's a good one. So for the beer guy and uh Sean, the host, uh, we got a tribute to myself. A salute to myself. It says high PL.

SPEAKER_03

It's all about kids today. You need to vote, it's not about you anymore.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, exactly. Well played, well played.

SPEAKER_07

I was like, where the hell is he going with this?

SPEAKER_04

So this is a hazy India Pale Lager from Unibu. Uh I've never had that one before, so I'm really excited to uh give this a try. So uh whenever you want to do it, just say it. Whenever it's get cracking. Oh, that's a stuff.

SPEAKER_02

You're just pretending. Did you pretend? I did.

SPEAKER_08

I went with the clutch.

SPEAKER_07

Even with your mouth? Yeah. Nice.

SPEAKER_02

Well, wait, I need to pour. Oh high PL. That's a poor pour. High PL. Should take a tip more.

SPEAKER_04

Even my phone's trying to say hi.

SPEAKER_07

Will I finally get this?

SPEAKER_03

Oh.

SPEAKER_04

No.

SPEAKER_03

He's already like known.

SPEAKER_04

That's exactly what happened to me.

SPEAKER_03

But you guys need to tip your cup more.

SPEAKER_04

Do you have change? Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Tip the cup, bud.

SPEAKER_06

This guy.

SPEAKER_03

That was a good dad joke. I'm not gonna lie.

SPEAKER_06

Just look at me like this. I was just saying you need to get your beer fire.

SPEAKER_07

All right. Well, hey, hey, good thing. You got you already got um the beer is good because you were too in a much in a hurry. Bunch of drunks.

SPEAKER_09

We started drinking a long time ago.

SPEAKER_07

Long time ago. All right. Well, hey, to this. Cheers, everybody. Cheers.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, it still tastes good from a few weeks ago. It's not bad, eh? No.

SPEAKER_04

There's still quality carbonation as well. Yeah, yeah, a little bit.

SPEAKER_03

There's like weird things in it, but that's okay. Happens.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_07

Am I tasting iron?

SPEAKER_03

Maybe you need some in your body.

SPEAKER_04

I think your mouth was too close to the mic.

SPEAKER_07

Rated M for mature. Alright. Alright. So, uh, yeah, we did the chairs. We did the cheers. I'll just go for seconds because I got distracted.

SPEAKER_02

He's so distracted, it didn't take much.

SPEAKER_04

Does it still taste like iron? No. No? No. No. Okay. It's good. Yeah. Tastes uh there's a strong uh I think like pineapple.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, interesting.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, there's some sort of citrus. Yeah. Okay. Not bad. Um, yeah, not bad at all. No, it's like Robin when she sells Ted by Tex. Not bad at all. Um, how Met Your Mother joke, you wouldn't get it. Unless you've watched Hog Met Your Mother, of course. Have you, Dr. James? Oh. I think he has. Yeah, I think he has too. Okay, so hey, this is about you. Sorry. What are we taking the whole show for?

SPEAKER_00

Hey, we're a family here. It's all good.

SPEAKER_07

It's all good.

SPEAKER_08

You're gonna make her cry.

SPEAKER_07

All right, so uh Resident Evil Games, okay. Um about Resident Evil Games, you've been talking to me about me, talking to me about it, and I've asked you a few times because I forgot the times that you had actually answered this. If you were to suggest three games, what would they be? But I would like you to tell them in order of yeah, it would be really good. But number three, two, and then one at the end. Okay. Just to keep them hooked.

SPEAKER_00

Well, because I know you mentioned something about like give me three reasons why uh I should play Resident Evil, because it's zombies, and usually you don't play those. So you and one reason I specifically I wanted to save it for the podcast. The story okay. It's uh like it's very complex because there's nine games, so they have to like find new stories and make it connect and all that. But essentially, it's an uh a a pharmaceutical company named Umbrella Corporation, okay. And uh they're very um into eugenics and uh changing humans uh by experimentation and uh by using specific uh viruses that could uh like the the main virus is a T virus, um, which was like a T virus project, and then they started to test it out on humans, and then they had like um different variations of it over time, so for the new games and all that. But and they eventually they gave um the virus or the like the power to like the government using it as bioweapons, and and Umbrella Corporation does not want to be involved with that, say like, oh, it's all the government, it's not us. And your job as any of the main protagonists, female uh male protagonists are in the game, um your goal is to find out more about the corruption of the pharmaceutical company and the government and all that, and that's the goal. So it gives you that motivation and incentive to find out more about it. So you're you're investigating. Yes, it's an investigation game.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, is that so is it an investigation games, like as in the whole series is you're you're the protagonist trying to solve it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you're trying to solve the mysteries of uh like why this happened, why it's like this. But you know umbrella's uh part of it, but you can't can prove it all that, but you have to try and figure it out by going through the story. So you have an incentive and a motivation to uh find out why, because it it's they used it to uh nefarious for nefarious uh reasons and they're trying to uh do all the nine of them connect?

SPEAKER_03

Because there's nine of them, right? Yes, so do all nine connect, or like some of them kind of just like go off on their own little adventure?

SPEAKER_00

So I I feel like sometimes they go off to make sure they can have more games and then try and connect them.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

But if you look on YouTube, like compilation of all the games, people have made videos where they they're all linked. Yeah, okay. So if you play the first one, you can follow. It's hard to follow at some points because there's so many storylines and characters, but uh the the main uh story is still there, it's going after Umbrella Corporation and stuff. So that's really interesting. And that's what captivated me uh with that. And the timeline of it.

SPEAKER_04

Like, wait, is it all in subsequent chronicle order, or um how long is it between the first and the ninth one?

SPEAKER_00

Oh geez, that that could yeah, that could take a while. Uh the well, the first one like came out in like 1996, like the first game. And after that, like it it just it varies. Like some of them, like like let's say one Resident Evil is between four and five, you know, like something like that, right? So it's kind of hard to pinpoint, but they all follow and they try and answer questions. Like, um, but that's the goal. And again, the scarcity of weapon ammo. So if you're not a fan of that, it might be hard. Okay, but um it's it's just I know he won't play.

SPEAKER_07

Wait, wait, wait, wait. Can it be dialed down with the difficulty levels? Yes, yeah, you can.

SPEAKER_03

He's only played on extreme. And we're back. Some of them, yes, some of them, yes. We're back.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely, absolutely. Um and there's like before I go into the three, I'll just say a quick thing about an honorable mention that I that I have for the games that didn't make the cut, but I feel like they need to be mentioned. It's resonating you've got to.

SPEAKER_07

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. If you mention those right now, it'll kind of be obvious what's coming up. Well, there's like some cases. Okay, what if you do the honorable mentions at the end?

SPEAKER_00

Okay, okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

So the first dictating how smart show.

SPEAKER_03

I know you can't do the show that way.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. But that works though. That works. But you think you can't spoil this much. You'd be like, I really recommend Resident Evil Forge, like, nope, you don't go back to the drawing board. Wrong answer.

SPEAKER_00

So the first one, Resident Evil 1 remake. Okay. So the first one came out in 1996, and the remake came out in 2002.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, wow.

SPEAKER_00

On the GameCube, actually. On the GameCube. On the GameCube. And I bought a GameCube just for that game.

SPEAKER_02

Oh wow, really? Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Dude, did you play that game? I bought that GameCube just for Harvest Moon. It's a wonderful life. That's the only game I ever had. It's still in there. I don't even have a case for it. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That's awesome. GameCube. It's a one-game thing. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

No one wants the GameCube unless it's like a specific game. And after that, we're done with it.

SPEAKER_00

One controller.

unknown

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

And the version on the GameCube had two discs. Two. Oh what? Yeah. Two or three. I forget, but like I think it's too big. Well, the discs are like this, eh?

SPEAKER_03

Face top.

SPEAKER_00

For the game. Like this.

SPEAKER_03

It's a good graph.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god.

unknown

Jesus.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so Resident Evil 1 remake, 2002, still holds up to this day. Um, and you're basically like uh you start like in a mansion, so like a like a not a haunted mansion, but you know there's zombies there and all that, but there's still the fixed camera angles. So I've never known I don't know if you've ever played games where you have fixed camera angles. Um I don't even know what that means. That's right.

SPEAKER_04

As you're moving throughout the hallways, then you're going on one camera, then when you get to a certain point, it moves to another camera.

SPEAKER_00

It doesn't follow you. You like right now, is it kind of like PlayStation One games? Like um, it's like tank controls and all that. That one's like tank controls. It it is difficult sometimes, but that adds to the scare, and that's why they did it for the first time on their original games, and they kept it for the remake. Okay.

SPEAKER_05

You're talking about the Resident Evil 1, right? Yeah, the remake.

SPEAKER_00

The remake of 2002, and it's so well made. So still to this day, it's just like it's a classic, it doesn't even need to be remade. Like it holds up. Oh, yeah. They think in 2026, this game holds up. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Interesting. From 2002.

SPEAKER_00

2002. Yeah, 30 years. Okay. The graphics, everything, and a big reason is because of because there's fixed camera angles, because of that, it's pre-rendered backgrounds, so the graphics look better, also. Okay, and so it doesn't, you know, yeah, so that that system, the GameCube, can actually perform and and show uh good quality.

SPEAKER_07

Freaking geniuses, right?

SPEAKER_00

It's so well done. Um and again, that game is very difficult. And there's also uh called Crimson Heads, which is when you kill a zombie, okay, you have to go find um like you already have a lighter as uh like an item that you have on your slot on your slots. Well, no, but no, it's not, but you can use it. No, no, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

No, it's to use for items. So let's say you'll find gasoline cans and stuff like that to burn the zombies.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, gotcha.

SPEAKER_00

And there's not enough gas cans, I don't think, for all the zombies. There's zombies in there? Yes. Yes. If you don't burn the zombie, they come back.

SPEAKER_08

Yield.

SPEAKER_00

Yield. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

Just saying. Wait, they come back.

SPEAKER_00

They come back even stronger.

SPEAKER_03

Even if you kill them.

SPEAKER_00

If you kill them and you don't burn their bodies, they come back. And they'll run after you. Okay, wait.

SPEAKER_03

Hold on. You have to kill them and burn their bodies? Yeah. Every single one of them.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so they're not dead until you burn them. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

They're the undead. Yeah, they're the undemies. So they'll come back even stronger. And they're running after you with like fuming red heads and like Well, I'd be pissed too if someone tried to kill me.

SPEAKER_04

And set me on fire.

SPEAKER_00

And set me on fire. Yeah. Killing me is one thing. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Set him on fire.

SPEAKER_03

That's just brutal. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But the first time playing the game, I didn't know that. So I'm just walking to an area. I know he's dead and like already because they they had the to load the, you know, there's loading screens and stuff like that. In those games, Resident Evil, the older ones especially, um it the loading screen is like you coming towards a door and the door opens slowly as the loading screen. So the minute the loading is done, you're you're back on the camera view, and you can have a zombie right there next to you.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

So if the Crimson Head is there, he's running after you and making all these sounds like which side are you going with the tank controls?

SPEAKER_03

Just let myself die.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's what makes it hard. Uh, but that game, I I did a I beat it on hard in about five hours, and I did a speed run.

SPEAKER_03

Not a big deal, guys. No, he's not gloating.

SPEAKER_00

No, no, I did a speed run, which was like three hours and like 29 minutes or something like that, 25 minutes. And uh only saved, only saved twice.

SPEAKER_02

Again, not a big deal.

SPEAKER_00

I was kind of proud of that, but remember that time you played NHL? I did like I bought so many calendars for it to cover the the the the holes in the walls.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, if you know you know, yeah, you know, you know, go watch episode. Oh no, that you said that in the NHL episodes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Just go scroll down, which is like 20 something, I think, or 2021. Yeah, um, but yeah, I don't know if you guys would play Resident Evil.

SPEAKER_07

Um, I'm just I I'd have to see what what it looks like with that that camera thing, right? Right, because yeah, um, you know, playing these games now, we're used to having immersive, uh, you know, um third person view where you you feel like you are the player, but for me, like I need to see what you mean by this camera angle. So is it like far away where you see somebody walk?

SPEAKER_00

It's almost like overhead-ish view, almost over not overhead, but it's like you're you're like a specific angles, but like security cameras, kind of yeah, exactly. Oh interesting.

SPEAKER_04

And how does the gameplay work? Like, um, when you switch cameras, do you have to switch directions?

SPEAKER_00

No, so if you stop the joystick, then you have to actually follow the direction of where the camera is and all that. But if you keep going straight and the camera switches and you're going left, don't let go of the straight, it'll keep going straight to that direction.

SPEAKER_04

There's a delay, but then yeah, as soon as you drop it, you need to send it to adjust complicated.

SPEAKER_00

I have no idea.

SPEAKER_03

I'm trying to pick up the side.

SPEAKER_00

So I'll send it to you after the podcast just to show you, and I'll send it to you. And it's not for everyone, yeah, but I'm glad they kept it like the original. So I'm that's what they did do that.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, they didn't try to change a game. Do you think it would be fun if they did a re-remake in 2027 and make it like actually? Where yeah, where they make a real third.

SPEAKER_00

You know, it's funny you mentioned that. They're actually thinking about it. Like, it's rumors from like people that are are working for Capcom, the company, yeah, and um they're thinking about doing a remake of the first one too.

SPEAKER_07

Because it was because the story's so good. It's the it's the base, right? It's like that first Harry Potter movie or like the story is really good.

SPEAKER_03

So I'm thinking camera, I don't know if you've ever played uh Medieval. No, okay, on PlayStation 1. So I'm thinking the camera angles like that, and I tried to replay it um maybe like two, three years ago on PlayStation. So like on PlayStation 4, whatever or but I got super nauseous because it's I'm so we're so used to like controlling the camera angles now to like it controlling by itself kind of thing, where I was like, I can't even I don't know how I did it when I was younger, so it's just I'm I'm wondering if that's the type of camera the camera doesn't move, it's just a character.

SPEAKER_00

So I don't know if that helps, but yeah. Um and they're zombie dogs, by the way, too.

SPEAKER_08

Oh no, sorry.

SPEAKER_00

I hate shooting them, but like I'll play it.

SPEAKER_02

Do you get to pet them?

SPEAKER_00

Do you get to kill them? They're zombie dogs.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, sorry, no.

SPEAKER_00

But like The Last of Us, like The Last of Us, I didn't I didn't shoot, I let myself the dog kill me first, and I was like, I can't do it, people. Oh my god. I still can't believe that.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I still remember in the video, you shook your head at us like I was like disappointment.

SPEAKER_07

Like, well, the first time that there was a dog, I let them kill me.

unknown

What?

SPEAKER_07

Good thing you run on a speedrun. Oh my god, yeah, no, you don't just run on the first try.

SPEAKER_03

If I die in the forest, it's because I ps something.

SPEAKER_00

Like 100%. Okay. But yeah, so that would be the first uh the first one that I would recommend.

SPEAKER_07

Uh in terms of um, I'll play it when they make a remake, a re-remake. Okay, okay. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, same thing, uh gameplay with the cameras and the angles and the ha ha ha ha. I'll still send it to you guys just before. Yeah, send it.

SPEAKER_03

The camera's in the hoy hoy. I think I'd only play it if we get the camera angles like we're used to.

SPEAKER_00

The camera angles doesn't sound too if you play like the originals and all that stuff, you get used to it. But if we're still used to to like the third, you know, the camera behind the shoulders and stuff now, it's hard to go back, right?

SPEAKER_07

You just gotta feed us with our silver spoon, DJ. Give us real deal shit. All right, none of this 2020 2002 bullshit.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you'll like the next one then.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, go.

SPEAKER_00

The next one is the one that just came out.

SPEAKER_03

Is it Resident Evil?

SPEAKER_00

Resident Evil 9. Oh, yes. Resident Evil.

unknown

Woo!

SPEAKER_00

I guess what's the story in that one? Same thing in terms of like finding out about the umbrella corporation. I feel like we're crushing too. We're finding out the big spoiler what's going on here. No, it's the same thing in terms of like trying to find out like about umbrella corporation.

SPEAKER_03

We still didn't find out after nine days.

SPEAKER_00

You know they're corrupt, you know they're they're the reason why the virus spread everywhere and they're at fault, but you're you have to try and make them uh liable and like in trouble and all that stuff and get you know, get um but you you can't, so it's just like because the game was would end, right? So yeah, they need to make it. You know what I mean? So and they're working on a tank, by the way. Wow.

SPEAKER_04

Uh how far have they come between the security cameras of the one and the Resident Evil 9?

SPEAKER_00

So Resident Evil 4 is when they first changed it. Okay. And it was something new.

SPEAKER_04

So there's three with the cameras, with the yeah, there's three, yeah, with the tank controls, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um so they're gonna so I'll talk about it later. Uh um, but the uh Resident Evil 9, the reason why it's second on my list, it's because they did they took the best of like gameplay-wise of all the Resident Evils, especially four and two, and they just took the best of all of them and put it in one game to please everyone. So there's you play as like Grace, an FBI agent, you play uh first person with her, or it's recommended to play first person, but you can switch third and first with each character, but they they set up the game so that when you play as Grace, you play you should play first person, and when you play as Leon uh Kennedy, um he you you're it's better at third person.

SPEAKER_08

Interesting.

SPEAKER_00

Him, it's more focused on action and a kick ass, because he's a veteran, he's been doing this for like 30 years, right? Like it's actually the 30th anniversary.

SPEAKER_03

He's never died.

SPEAKER_00

And right, I know. Yeah, yeah. He's he's a guy. So you can't make him not like not good. He can't fight this and that because he's been doing he's a veteran, he's been doing for so long. So that's what he does.

SPEAKER_03

So all the kick-ass like blood that I sent you, like the videos of like he not not sending real blood by the mirror.

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no. Just let you guys know.

unknown

No, no.

SPEAKER_00

Real authentic. Allegedly. Allegedly. HR is gonna be on our right. Do you plead the fifth? Yes, always. Um, and when you play as Grace, it's the uh survival horror aspect of first person hide and seek a little bit.

SPEAKER_07

She's first person, and the guy's third person. Yes, it's recommended. Yeah, I do the opposite. Now in games, especially if you're playing with a girl, like you want to have her see her butt when she's walking. And the guy, you're just you want to see his guns. His guns, his actual guns. I know how you think.

SPEAKER_00

Crazy woman. Okay. Uh yeah, uh, and uh uh Grace, really cool uh survival aspect, survival horror, and it's really um well done. Like that one scared me too. Not as much as Outlast, okay, but the first playthrough. It's just it's so well made, well made. And she also, it's so cool that they even thought of this. When she's given a gun by Leon at the beginning, because when you have it to start her story, she's never held a gun before. She's just like this because she's like a receptionist and an FBI agent, I think something like that.

SPEAKER_01

She's never like played with nerves or with what nerve guns.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I guess. So the first time you shoot a gun, she shakes.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, seriously.

SPEAKER_00

She shakes, she shakes the first time she used a gun. She's gonna show you. She shakes like, oh my god. But halfway in the game, she gets used to it. And they actually made it so that like progressive, progressive during the game, those little dudes. Yeah, so the swaying and stuff like that, and then even when she runs. And I've Oh, hold on, hold on. Well, that's normal.

SPEAKER_03

Does she run in heels?

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no. No, not the classic uh. Yeah, yeah. Like Jurassic, one of the Jurassic Park movies, you know, like running away from TR stuff. You're running way too fast in heels.

SPEAKER_03

There's no way any girl would be comfortable in heels.

SPEAKER_07

Some girls are actually really good.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, I know. But in a zombie apocalypse, come on. You want to be comfortable.

SPEAKER_08

Yep, yeah, and they'll hear you. They'll hear you.

SPEAKER_02

There's no way you can be quiet. First one dead. I know. First one dead. Like I'd shoot her myself.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Fair. Yeah, fair. Yeah, so no, she's not.

SPEAKER_00

And when she runs, she stumbles, all that stuff. When she runs, you don't lose a speed, but it it makes it like look realistic. Okay. So worse than feels. Yeah. She's been drinking a little bit. Yeah, no, it's it's so well made. And uh, and actually, it wouldn't surprise me if she actually wins an award for her acting.

SPEAKER_09

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

Like the voice of her being scared and everything.

SPEAKER_09

Interesting.

SPEAKER_00

All the comments I see, it's it's about her acting. And I guarantee you she's gonna win one of the awards.

SPEAKER_01

Good.

SPEAKER_00

I can almost bet money on it. Like she will.

SPEAKER_01

Almost.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, almost because I'm just in case. Very, very, very recent game. So, like yeah, 2026. Uh well, actually, it came out like a month, a month, two months ago. Oh, you've already played it? Yeah, I already beat it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, is that really a question?

SPEAKER_07

Come on now.

SPEAKER_03

Do you know who you're talking to?

SPEAKER_07

Oh my god, no, no, no, no, no. I like how this went. So you already played it? No, no. I've already beat it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Exactly. I've already beat it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's about uh 10 to 15 hours for the first play for the game. Promise me something. Never change. No, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, so that one uh I definitely recommend for uh second one. Because it put all of them amalgamated together.

SPEAKER_07

So if if I were to say, okay, I'm gonna give it a shot at Resident Evil games. Um would it would it make a difference playing the number nine first? Like like in the story, would would it make a difference playing that first and then you really like no, you should if you're gonna like really play this other one? Maybe it's the first one.

SPEAKER_00

If you really care about the story, but it's not you can play the ninth one and you're still gonna have a blast, and you're still not gonna find out too much about the umbrella corporation and all that. You're gonna find out little things in here that are corrupt, okay. Uh, you know, and it's also like like you hear this every time, like people not trusting big big farm companies, this and that. And this game, you know, it's about that too. So it makes it a little bit more relatable and realistic for you know a story.

SPEAKER_04

Um and yeah, I feel you'd have to grow with the graphics. Like, I mean, you'd have to start with the the oldest one. No, exactly. That's true. Because then you're like, Well, what is this?

SPEAKER_07

But but then again, uh once I was fooled by this. Oh yeah, I was fooled by this because uh Harvest Moon. Oh Harvest Moon games, uh, you know, playing Harvest Moon 64 or A Wonderful Life on the GameCube, and then hearing about Stardew Valley, for me, it was like I can't play Stardew Valley, the 2D pixel art thing, like that's not that's not up to par with with visually what I what I've been playing all that.

SPEAKER_04

But it is very arcadey, like it's it's not a game like Resident Evil where there's a lot of focus being put on graphic.

SPEAKER_07

But where where I'm going with this is that I was surprised at how even going back, even though okay, um uh Stardew Valley is made more recent, was made more recently than these games, the visual aspect is from uh an earlier time. Uh so that's why I wouldn't want to play it, but I got surprised by when I finally did play it, I realized okay, it didn't matter. So that's why I'm thinking, would it matter in Resident Evil? Oh well, should I be a little more open-minded for Resident Evil to play something and then go back and it would still be good?

SPEAKER_00

It would still be good.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Are you buying nine? The cameras. Well, obviously, like I love the game, so I'm biased in that aspect. But I I know that if you play the ninth one, okay, you're gonna want to play the next on my list, the number one, afterwards, even though it's before.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

No, no, Resident Evil 1's number three.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but there's like if you play nine, you play nine?

SPEAKER_02

Four.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, you'll see when I say one to eight. One to three, but it's three but one. It's number one, but it's number three, but you should play number Okay, wait. Which one is it?

SPEAKER_00

So if you play the ninth one, you can play any of the previous games and you're still gonna enjoy it. Except the sixth one, that's the worst one in the series. Don't play it, garbage bin. Really? Yeah, yeah. That's important. Yeah, it's gonna be garbage.

SPEAKER_07

We say the word fuck every two seconds here, and you're like darn, and I'm like, oh horseshit. Count sarnets.

SPEAKER_00

You should never play absolutely, unequivocally, not play Resident Evil 6. Oh why number six? Because it's complete garbage. Oh, so the story tell us how you really feel the story is all over the place, the pacing is bad, it's it's the action is too like the action is not even well made. You're playing it and you're like, it's a struggle to even finish. I finished it and I was just like, I I it was like felt like a waste of time, and I felt so disappointed. And this is why like Resident Evil 7 basically saved the series. If that failed, who knows where Resident Evil would be by by now? Interesting. But Resident Evil 7 saved uh the series, in my opinion, but and a lot of people, but um, yeah, Resident Evil 6 is one that like you don't play. If you played that as a first game, you're probably not gonna like any other games, or you might judge all they're probably all the same, but it's like no, no, no. This one is the one that's like the odd one out.

SPEAKER_07

So I wonder and don't don't say it, but I wonder if uh Resident Evil 7 is the number one game, or if it's an honorable mention, because it's gotta be something because it saved the series, it has that suspense down. So before you move on, I want to ask these fellas um what they think the maybe it's just a wild guess at this point, or maybe it's number seven. What do you think the number one game is that he's gonna recommend?

SPEAKER_03

I have a feeling I know which one it is, but just don't know number, it's with Miss M Madame Medouche. Dimitres, you think Lady Dimitres? Yeah, which is seven or eight. Eight. I think it's gonna be that one.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. So it's clearly not nine and one.

SPEAKER_08

And it's clearly not.

SPEAKER_04

I don't think it would be two and three with the video cameras. Um you said seven? No, no, I didn't say eight. I didn't say my answer yet. Okay. He wants to go based off ours. Yeah. Nothing's been mentioned about five. You mentioned that four was this turning point.

SPEAKER_03

True.

SPEAKER_07

So it's either four or seven. PL's good. By the way, before you give your answer, PL's super good with it with this stuff. Like, in a player profile episode, which we'll do yours pretty soon, you'll see he like mind fucks you. Which like he doesn't even use a condom, the little shit. He just fucking goes in there. And you're pregnant. You're like, what? No, that's power. No, no, but but like like he's really smart at uh like okay, like he remembered everything that was said. He's awesome. Which one are you gonna go for? Four or seven? Or I'll say it because I think I know because he You read his cheat sheet, that's why. No, I ha I haven't, but in the past, like I said, I have asked him what I should be playing if I were to play one, and I think I remember what I saw. So I I'll say it like at the end what I think I saw, but I I just don't want it to feel like it comes from me thinking I'm smart. It's because he doesn't know. So what do you think?

SPEAKER_03

He just told you.

SPEAKER_07

I don't remember.

SPEAKER_00

So you said you answered seven, eh? You said four or seven. Oh, four or seven. So which one?

SPEAKER_04

Okay, because four is the when it turned around. So sometimes it can be like uh I don't know, like a huge stepping stone in the right direction for that series.

SPEAKER_00

And then seven as the yeah, since it saved it, but and then you said eight with Lady uh Dimitris. Yes, cool antagonist, by the way. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

I watched Mark Aplier play that one and I sorry, I loved it.

SPEAKER_07

It's awesome. Can you have this guy in the podcast?

SPEAKER_03

I wish. Where is he? Like would he would he fly all the way over here? No, he did put a movie out though recently. And he shirtless in it.

SPEAKER_07

So he's too big for this podcast.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah, yeah. Well, he made his own movie. A YouTuber made his own movie. Yeah. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think anybody's too big for this podcast, but whatever she's thinking is.

SPEAKER_03

No, I Iron Lung.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_03

Anyways, back to you.

SPEAKER_00

So, what about you?

SPEAKER_07

No, you didn't say your answer.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, you're gonna wait actually to the same.

SPEAKER_07

No, no, wait, no, no, wait. I will say it. Four or seven? You have to pick one that you're having to say.

SPEAKER_00

Seven. Okay, I'll say I think four. Okay. Okay, so four, eight, and seven. Yeah, yeah. Okay. It's four.

SPEAKER_08

Wow, okay. But no memory.

SPEAKER_07

I think I had remembers something clicked about the four.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Interesting. So Resident Evil Four, it's unanimous, almost like for everyone, that that's the game because of the turning point.

SPEAKER_03

Um, also you were so close.

SPEAKER_00

Because it was a risk. People didn't a lot of people complain at first. You can't change the games, especially fans, right? They get really intense. It's like you can't change the series, you know. Like it's nice. Yeah, yeah. And then it's like it was so well made. Yeah. Uh the over-the-shoulder camera. Um, and there's also the oh yeah, um, there's um the VR2. So that I played with VR2.

SPEAKER_03

On four?

SPEAKER_00

For the four, okay. So the fourth one came out in 2005, also on the GameCube and other uh systems too, but the remake, specifically, yes, just specifically the remake, which came out in 2023, and um that game, yeah, they had the VR also with it. So that's amazing.

SPEAKER_02

I just watched you guys notes. Yeah, all this time we could have looked at his notes and just.

SPEAKER_04

I don't even know where to start.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so the VR, there's still a VR with a Resident Evil 7 and 8. Um, and I beat those with a VR too. But the Resident Evil 4 is if you're gonna play one game, it has to be that game. Okay, and like the one the first one's still amazing, but the remake is so much better. And when you play with a VR, okay, you can have your gun, throw it in the air, it's gonna throw the gun, and you can actually catch it back with your hand. I can imagine how many times you did that.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, I think I remember seeing a video of that.

SPEAKER_00

That's insane. But the thing that sucks is like once I did that, like one of the first times, I dropped it.

SPEAKER_03

I'm like, oh I pick it up, and I look up and that guy was probably like the loser. Dropped his gun.

SPEAKER_06

What the fuck is he doing?

SPEAKER_02

He's like, my god, you want to find a way? Shit.

SPEAKER_00

He's breaking his feet. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

Um shoots himself with the knee. Oh my god. That would be awful.

SPEAKER_00

That would be awful. Uh no, it it's it's the best game. I like the replayability. I think I beat it like so many times just because it's so free.

SPEAKER_03

How many times? Just tell us.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, probably like 10, 12 times, probably. Oh, wow. Um that's the remake that came out in 2017.

SPEAKER_07

That's a lot of times to play the same game. Like, yeah. Okay. Okay. Really focus? Focus. You've got 10 seconds.

SPEAKER_00

Sell this game, go. Oh my god, I it's the best game in the series. Literally, it's the best game of the series. Like, if the world was ending tomorrow and you had one thing you wanted to do, you play this game. Which one? Resident Evil 4 remake.

SPEAKER_07

If this doesn't convince you, I don't know what will.

SPEAKER_02

Nothing. Nothing. End of the world. End of the world, and you just died doing what? Not playing Resident Evil 4.

SPEAKER_07

That wink, eh? Yeah. Well, because my son is right there saying hi.

SPEAKER_03

I thought you were flirting with the camera there for a second. Yeah, I know. I forgot.

SPEAKER_04

Winking to himself. Get more, get more lights.

SPEAKER_06

Winking to Dr. Games. Hey, buddy.

SPEAKER_00

And Resident Evil 4, I was I was having a blast because at one point uh I was able to have like infinity rocket launchers. I was just playing for fun. Yeah. Uh, and also did speedruns on that one. Um, I played on uh it was uh hardcore and professional, and both three hours and like 30 minutes each. So that was fun. But how incredible only three hours?

SPEAKER_07

Well, you know what? I have to say something, it's refreshing with having all these amateurs on this podcast and just regular folks there, like I like you and all, guys.

SPEAKER_00

But having a pro over here is pretty awesome. Thank you. But no, it's the the replayability do have value.

SPEAKER_03

I'm a comedian.

SPEAKER_00

You bring the beer.

unknown

See?

SPEAKER_00

You do bring the beer.

SPEAKER_07

You do bring the beer.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, the replayability, like you a lot of the reason Resident Evil games, you can play once a comedian.

SPEAKER_06

Sorry. When you self-proclaim yourself as a comedian, you might not be a comedian.

SPEAKER_03

I try. Imagine if I went to therapy, wouldn't it be funny? Well, that's right. Just saying.

SPEAKER_00

It's like calling yourself yourself Great Britain. Don't you have to wait till other people call you Great? Don't call yourself Great Britain. Don't call yourself Great Britain. No, no, no.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Makes sense, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um, how amazing that is Capcom, the company, to do like, I think it was like how many games? Six? They did like six games in Resident Evil. Yes, in nine question mark? But six in in like nine years. That's wild. Three mainline titles.

SPEAKER_03

And we're still waiting for GTA.

SPEAKER_00

Wow, guys.

SPEAKER_03

Getting your shit together.

SPEAKER_00

Good burn. That's good. And like three remakes and three mainline titles in nine years. Crazy. And they've all sold like Resident Evil 9 right now, it's the fastest selling Resident Evil. I think it's sold like right now, they're at like what six million in like three weeks or four weeks or whatever it is.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, so so let me ask you this because you've played them all, right? Yeah. Um, often if games are made too closely together, like I don't know, the Assassin's Creed. Yeah. Okay. Well, at some point it's just like important attention is not put into certain aspects of the game. Is this something that you've that you've seen within these games, even if you did like them?

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_07

So is it a short period of time to pull out?

SPEAKER_00

So Resident Evil 2 remake and 3 came out like a year apart, I think. So you can tell that three felt rush. It's really like really fast. Like that one I did a speed run like in an hour and like eight minutes or whatever it is, right? Like it was really fast.

SPEAKER_02

You know what it is. Yeah.

unknown

Right?

SPEAKER_00

But like you can tell that it felt rushed. Yeah. But like Resident Evil 9, they were working on I think four and another game, and while they were working on nine as well at the same time. So they're all like, I don't know, like how big is the team? I don't know. But it's insane how much work is put into it. Really well done. And yeah, so I I like you can tell for Resident Evil 3 remake, I'd still play it, but it uh it's it wouldn't be the one I recommend more.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Interesting. Okay. That was a good question.

SPEAKER_00

Ah, now I want to play Resident Evil 4.

SPEAKER_07

Yes, the remake too. Yeah, so good.

SPEAKER_04

And then the nine when it comes to the special.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, special. Yeah, yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely. So I think I think we did it after the the he mentioned Resident Evil 1, right? We said whether we'd play it or not. I think we said no, right? No. Collectively we're not. Then the next uh second game you said was Resident Evil 9. Yeah. We didn't say an answer here, I think. So would you play Resident Evil 9?

SPEAKER_04

I think that would be the one that I would maybe play the most. Uh I understand like Resident Evil 4 might be like a the game changer of the series and all that. Um, but with my very limited gaming time, I would focus on something more recent with up-to-date graphics and all that. So yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And well, the the Resident Evil 4 remake is updated graphics, but not the original from 2005. But I do agree, like if you play the ninth one, do you do you like the dual? Like one is first person, the other is third person. Do you like that uh aspect? Yeah, yeah, I don't mind it. Yeah, you have to switch between the game. Well, it switches for you, so when you the story is like they're both stories and then they they uh they mesh together.

SPEAKER_07

It's like GTA, yeah. Okay, that's specifically why I stopped playing GTA 5. Interesting. It's because yeah, I I uh call me old school, all right. But I like when I have a character and I get to evolve with one character. So I'm not I'm not uh a three-character guy within a game because I'm playing one game, right? So I want to, but when I started, I'm like, okay, cool. And then it switched, I'm like, well, I did all this progress with the other guy. That's true. Like, what the hell is what I'm not I didn't know, I don't want to play a second game. So there's and then it changed again. I'm like, okay, no, enough, and and I and I stopped. So I'm thinking, well, would that be different? Especially with two different gameplays. Like, if I'm starting investing in something, I just want to continue, make another game with the other guy.

SPEAKER_00

So for you, Resident Evil 4 remake would be the one Resident Evil 9 Day switch. Okay, and if you don't like the characters thing, Resident Evil 6, there's like five, six switching characters, then the story, the pacing's bad. That's why it's bad. Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I was gonna say earlier when you said for the six, I'm like, well, you hated it so much.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna play, I don't want to all play it full price. Well, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Well, no, if it comes for a buck, just to just to see how horrible it is would be worth the buck.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, dude. I think so.

SPEAKER_04

You gotta go out hunting, shoot it, bring it back, and then like trade it in for a game. Yes. I mean, yeah. That's fair. It's a tough task. Yeah. Um would you the ninth?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Is that what we're talking about? Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Or which one?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. I know my daughter, we're getting it for her birthday because she wants to play. She's played all the Resident Evil as well. Um I'd probably start out watching her play, honestly, and then see how I like. You said there's like the switches too, and I'm like you, I kind of like progressing with that one character. Because you like put so much into them, and then you go on to someone else, you're like, God damn it. Yeah. So yeah, to relearn mechanics. I can see why I could throw something down for sure. Yeah, unless you're pro. Yeah. Whatever. So I think I'd watch her play first and then maybe go based off the gameplay. Yeah, that's good.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah. Um honorable mentions.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah. Well, first, nine, nine for sure, no, like we've established that, but I am really curious about the four. Like, right. I'll find a good gameplay pitch. And you will play. Like you'll be like, fuck yeah. Yeah, well, if after this I go on Steam or on PlayStation, uh, you know, and and it's on a really good special, like under um four, yeah, I'd I'd play it, I'd buy it for under four ninety nine. Ten bucks. Yeah. Under ten bucks on play. For sure. 20, I'll wait. I'll wait till like under 10 bucks, I'm buying it, and then I'll figure out when I play it. Uh 20, uh, well, I'll wait. I'll I would buy it for 20, but I'd wait till I'm in more in that mood and I want to buy it. Because you never know until then if it can go along.

SPEAKER_00

Keep it on your wish list and then when it pops and it's a good one. But yeah, you know what?

SPEAKER_07

I think I want to do it, and you know what? Could be fun. And is if it ends up happening, it'd be fun if it all falls in line so that we can do an episode on Resident Evil 4. Because I think that if you're saying it's a community like agreed thing that four is number one, well, what if the four would be uh an episode we do that we release in Halloween? Oh in October, right? Yeah. So I'm just I'm just thinking out loud here. So if that were to happen, that would be pretty good. Yeah, I agree. Yeah. Yeah, but so far in all the games you've mentioned, uh, this game is what intrigues me the most. Especially in the fact that I always wondered what the hell's up with Resident Evil 2. To me, it's just well, you start the game and you start to shoot zombies, and then you need to get there, and you shoot more zombies, and then you need to get there and you can get it. And puzzles. Yeah. No, I didn't think about puzzles. I just thought you needed to kill zombies. But the fact that you explained at the beginning of this episode the um how uh the umbrella farm corp, yeah, uh, you know, and and that you're trying to to find out about corruption. Well, there's more to it than just the zombies. Kind of like uh The Last of Us. The Last of Us was not a zombie game, it was a something else game, but with zombies in it. Clickers. This I think is a zombie game. Yeah, yeah. But still, there's still a story to it where it could be interesting. So I think that's pretty cool.

SPEAKER_00

And there are there are there is puzzles too, like in terms of like you find items and you put them together to open a door or you find specific keys, stuff like that. There's a medallion that looks like half a heart. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I wonder what this does later. Yeah, it's a friendship break. Oh, my God.

SPEAKER_04

Yo, but um I have uh a question uh for you actually. Yeah. Um what is the next Resident Evil game that you're gonna replay?

SPEAKER_03

You need to stop being so angry.

SPEAKER_00

Uh I'm actually gonna try and uh speed run Resident Evil 9 next time when I get the chance. I'll try and speedrun it. So you've only done just a regular. Yeah, I beat Resident Evil 9 and I just took a break uh from playing uh a little bit, but it'll be a speedrun for sure. Okay until Resident Evil 10 comes out. Or another remake waiting for UCapcom have a get on it. Six games in nine years, you slackers. Nice, nice. But the honorable mentions?

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Honorable mention.

SPEAKER_00

It's crazy.

SPEAKER_07

I like how we all had a uh a sound effect there. Okay, synchronized. We need to we yeah, because okay. There's only two buttons for actual sound effects, so we need to play a role here. We do. We do it well. What kind of sound effects do you want to do? You're in charge of what sound effect.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. I do all sorts of them. I don't even know what to do.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, but you need an identity. What's yours? You can do others, but what's your main yield? I don't know how yield. If you know you know. If you know you know, that's all you gotta say. Yeah, what would be yours?

unknown

Par.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know, you put me on the other hand.

SPEAKER_02

Sounds like a dying beer. A dying ride.

SPEAKER_04

I got nervous, okay? I got nervous and hit puberty at the same time.

SPEAKER_06

It came up more high pitched than you wanted to. Never know.

SPEAKER_07

So PL, what about this game?

SPEAKER_04

Okay, okay, hold on. I got I got another one. Okay. Bam! Oh, nice. I like that one.

SPEAKER_07

I have nothing. He just pressed it. I know I know what your sound effect is. Yeah. I was top ten in the world for three years only three years in a row at NHL. All right. Yeah, that's right.

SPEAKER_03

I only did a speed run that was an hour and eight minutes long, but something like that. Whatever. Didn't count it, but he did.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, whatever.

SPEAKER_00

Well, all right. Honorable mentions. It's crazy because I love Resident Evil so much. Yeah, we're gonna do that. There's three, but I'll be quick with uh the three. One of them you're obviously gonna like. It's Resident Evil 8 with Lamid Lady Dimitres. Um the Gothic Castle and everything. Plus, there's a VR option with that as well. Is that the one you played on VR?

SPEAKER_03

Uh seven. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Um that one, I just had a blast with that one, and I think you know, if I made a top six list, there you go, it would be on it. Um I don't think there exists in the world a top six.

SPEAKER_07

There's nine percent. My top nine games are my top five point seven games are in order. Dude, maybe that's how we you know distinguish ourselves from the others, yeah. Yeah, right, is by doing top like and with an odd number.

SPEAKER_00

Think outside the box, people. Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_02

I like it. Put that on a t-shirt.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, there you go.

SPEAKER_02

Top 5.7. Let's go.

SPEAKER_00

If you know, you know. The other one, Resident Evil 7, because obviously, save the series. You know, like you can't forget that one. That's also on the VR. Um, and that is very scary as well. Um, especially like the antagonist and stuff like that. Very like in your face kind of thing, right? Um and then the other one is that was hard to not put on the list, actually.

SPEAKER_03

Interesting.

SPEAKER_00

It's Resident Evil 2 remake.

SPEAKER_03

I was asked to play that one.

SPEAKER_00

Right? By whom?

SPEAKER_03

A friend of mine, he messaged me and he said, Have you played Resident Evil 2? And I said, No, he's like, Can you please play play it so we can talk about it? But now that you're talking about the camera angles, I'm not sure. That one's different.

SPEAKER_00

The original is the tank controls, yeah, but the remake is over the shoulders.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

But you do song, they change it. That changes everything, PJ.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, why didn't you say that at the beginning? Oh my god.

SPEAKER_07

This is for you.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. I'll see myself.

SPEAKER_08

Bye, doors that way. Bye, Felicia.

SPEAKER_00

Um, yeah, so that one you would love. Yeah. Uh however, there you do switch between two uh two characters, um, but it it's it's really fun. Like it's not, it doesn't throw you off like a first person, third person. Both are third person, the controls are the same and everything.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Um and that game didn't make the cut only because Resident Evil 9 puts the two best Resident Evil 4 and 2 in one. So I gave the nod to nine for that. Gotcha. Um so they could put it in four. You know, you had the Grace and uh whatever in nine, whoever so in four it's uh Leon again. Leon, yeah, the same guy.

SPEAKER_07

Good. I didn't want to have a shaking gun. Only at the beginning.

SPEAKER_00

She gets better. Yeah, I don't know, it would bug me. Yeah, so that would be the third one honorable mention.

SPEAKER_08

Fuck this shit.

SPEAKER_04

If there's a shaking gun in the ninth one, imagine the fourth.

SPEAKER_08

That's only when he drove up the car. Yeah, yeah. Oh fuck.

SPEAKER_04

Russian roulette, but you don't have a gun, but oh, it's so cool. But how cool is that though, right? You should have a lot of things.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know if it's that cool because you dropped it. You didn't catch it, it wasn't that cool.

SPEAKER_07

It reminds me, and at some point I want to do a VR episode. Yeah, right. For those who have played VR. Yeah. And and the game Super Hot, which one of my favorite VR games, which is really fun because uh the game advances only if you move. Right? So there was one of the levels that for some reason I like to do on repeat because it starts where you have one gun. So you're just there and you see the scene and you see a few people there. Nobody's moving because if you're not moving, nobody's moving. But there's a gun right there in the air. As soon as you grab the gun, it starts. But yeah, it's just floating. So you grab the gun. So you grab the gun. So while you grab the gun, the scene moves and they do their thing, but as soon as you stop it, it all stops. So you can kind of get to slowly, okay, I'll grab the gun and I'll shoot this guy. So when you shoot that first guy, his gun pops in the air and you can grab it, right? So with a few times doing it, it got super fun because I would boom, boom, cross hands.

SPEAKER_08

There was two other guys, boom, wow, believe me, it feels gone if you do this.

SPEAKER_07

All right. No, I won't play. Yeah, so it kind of reminds me of uh that like there was a fun thing where you can actually like grab things, throw them, and you'd have to like there was a bottle, and it's like every character was made of glass. They're like all red, it's all white and red. It's like target practice.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah. I would like to see what you look like in the living room just doing that, just thinking like you're all so cool, and then you just see yourself throwing stuff up in the air and like blowing on nothing.

SPEAKER_07

No, no, you don't blow on nothing, you blow on your bug at one.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, style, instile.

SPEAKER_07

It doesn't matter what it looks, it doesn't matter what it looks like from the outside, it's what it feels like. Okay, that is what matters, right? Because usually you do VR and nobody's watching. But even if so, in it's it feels so cool that you think that whatever people are watching is sees is cool. Whether it's it is or it isn't, you think it doesn't matter, but that's pretty cool. So when you boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, like oh, it's just you've done this a lot. You have all the time. I repeated this okay. Yeah, I repeated this so many times, and now I do it like in full speed.

SPEAKER_02

Like, oh I'm God.

SPEAKER_07

No. You forgot to blow your guns.

SPEAKER_02

No, I don't believe you.

SPEAKER_03

But for the podcast, do you think we should all have a VR here instead of just all you see? Don't even know what we're doing. We're in the US.

SPEAKER_04

Your eyes are open in there. Yeah, what's good? I got a mask.

SPEAKER_02

He's pretending, he's using his imagination.

SPEAKER_07

Buddy, I want to thank you for preparing all uh all these all these for us. Um, I really appreciate it. I thought that was pretty fun. It's the first times uh tonight that we we did these kinds of episodes with with the horror one that will probably be broadcasted uh weeks or months before this Resident Evil one, but still really fun type of segment. And I think uh it's something that I'd like to do again uh with you specifically, but it's something that can be done with anyone, right? If you've played specific a specific type or niche games uh a lot that you liked and you want to come on here and do the same type of thing, we'd have to change the title because this really really goes well because it rhymes. I love Platinum J Man. Games to play with Platinum J.

SPEAKER_03

I don't think anyone's getting another one. Put it on a t-shirt.

SPEAKER_07

But we can find an a rhyming title for anybody. Like that's that's that's the fun part. Fun part is not the podcast, it's finding the titles. Yeah. Right? Not the podcast. Uh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Ew.

SPEAKER_07

Ew. When the hell is this, even, right? Uh so, anyways, uh mostly, mostly MT.

SPEAKER_06

Mostly. Mostly just careful, you're a bit teenage years again. Mixed with this guy's uh sounder that he didn't. Alright. Hey.

SPEAKER_09

Thanks for having us.

SPEAKER_06

Thank you. Thank you.

SPEAKER_00

Cheers, everybody.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, you did well this time. You didn't even throw it down like you usually do. How are those last drops? All over you?

SPEAKER_04

On the table. No, I actually uh got some.

unknown

What?

SPEAKER_01

Like water videos?

SPEAKER_07

What do you mean the water video? What video was that?

SPEAKER_01

Like a plane thing and they just have like a water thing going on. They're like singing in the rain. Which song was that?

SPEAKER_00

No, that's NSYN.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Did you say, oh, she said Backstreet Boys?

SPEAKER_00

That's what it's like. Oh, quit playing games with my heart. No, they're on a horse. Not that one.

SPEAKER_01

On a horse?

SPEAKER_00

How would I know that? I don't know from a friend.

SPEAKER_01

No, they're dancing in the rain.

SPEAKER_04

Wasn't quit playing games with. Oh no, it's quit playing games with my horse. Quit playing games with my horse. Wasn't that a parody or something?

SPEAKER_03

No, Arthur sings that in his game.

SPEAKER_06

Quit playing games with my horse. Did you know she called her horse Forrest? Wait. Wait. You know why? No. Because it runs? Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't even think of that, but I love that movie.

SPEAKER_06

Great movie. What movie? Captain Phillips doesn't get. Alright, this was fun.
