EP2: Community and Loneliness (Voices of France)
In this episode, we explore the difference between being alone and feeling lonely. Loneliness is not just about being physically alone, but about lacking meaningful emotional connections—even when surrounded by others.
The discussion highlights how important it is to have a support system, especially during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Strong networks—whether with family, friends, or through school and sports communities—take time to build but play a vital role in our well-being.
We share personal experiences of finding community at INSA, through clubs, group projects, or shared hobbies. Joining new groups often means stepping out of your comfort zone, but it’s also about being yourself and staying open to others without judgment.
The episode ends with a reflection on inclusion: true community comes from accepting people as they are, and creating spaces where everyone feels free to express themselves and connect.
