Brian Plachta:

Welcome to Spirituality on the Go, a podcast where you can discover the tools you need to put into your spiritual toolbox to discover inner peace, balance, rediscovering your true self, your connection to God. You know, sometimes in the rush of life, we begin to feel like we're not safe. We feel unprotected, afraid even. And so it's important sometimes to pause. and remind ourselves that we are safe. Because if we don't, fear has a way of creeping in, whispering doubts and making us feel unanchored, unprotected. But when we take a deep breath, ground ourselves, and rest in the presence of the divine, we remember there is a peace beyond understanding that holds us, a peace that allows us to quiet the noise of the world. And know we're safe. In today's Spirituality on the Go episode, I invite you to pause, take a deep breath, and listen as I read a poem that I wrote called Are You Safe? As you listen to the poem, I invite you to let the words wash over you like a gentle wave. As you listen, notice if there's a word or phrase or an image that resonates within your heart. Does something stir within you? Maybe a feeling of peace, longing, or comfort? Whatever is that rises up within you as I read this poem, take a moment, this moment, to rest in the embrace of the sacred. So let's begin. Are you safe? Are you safe, my soul? Can you feel the earth beneath your feet? Can you sense the strength of divine presence within your heart, holding you close, embracing you in love beyond measure? Can you rest in God's arms? Letting them surround you, cradle you in a sacred embrace. The world may press against you. It's chaos pulling at you. It's burdens weighing you down. But here now within the heart of Christ, there is no weight too great, no storm too fierce, that divine protection cannot overcome. Like John the Beloved, at that sacred banquet, come. Place your head upon Christ's chest. Feel his arms draw you close. His heart beat steady. His breath flowing soft upon your face. Rest in this eternal moment. Know that you are the Beloved. Your heart is entwined with Christ's. Feel the warmth of his presence. Let stillness hold you. Breathe in the love that fills the air, sacred and alive. Lean in like John. Feel Christ's chest rise and fall. Let the rhythm of his heartbeat fill you with inner peace. Let yourself surrender to divine protection. Feel the Savior's arms shelter you from the world's noise, its fear, its uncertainty. You need not fight. You need not run. In the embrace of Christ, all is well. He knows you completely, intimately. He cherishes you far beyond human understanding. Feel divine breath caress your cheek. Hear Christ's tender voice whisper into the depths of your soul, these words: No storm can harm you. No darkness can consume you. You are mine, now and forever. I will keep you safe in my abiding love. You are, and always will be, safe. As you go about your day today, may you carry this truth with you: you are held, you are known, you are safe.
