Welcome. I'm glad you're here to spend a few moments listening and learning another way to quiet your mind so you can experience God in your everyday life. Today we're gonna focus on the breath as a pathway to quiet your mind. Research tells us that our mind can only think one thought at a time. So to stop all that racing, thoughts that continue to run around our brains like a mouse on an espresso rush.

If we give our minds something to focus on, our minds begin to settle and they quiet themselves and move into our heart space. And our breath is one of the most simple. Yet profound ways that we can focus that racing mind and allow our hearts to open when we were born. Think about it. Obviously we don't remember that moment, but when each one of us came out of our mother's womb and the doctor cut the umbilical cord, the first thing we did was we, we gasped and scripture tells us.

That that first gasp when we opened our lungs, God breathed into us the breath of life, the Holy Spirit. So every breath we take is the Holy Spirit, breathing within us. Breathing the spirit of love, of life, of hope, of peace, of wisdom guiding us. So when we focus on our breath, we awaken to the fact that the Holy Spirit lives and breathes within us through every breath we take.

So I invite you now to find a quiet place where you can be in solitude for just a couple of moments. Make sure that it's a safe place where you're not driving or, or anything like that, that you can just take a few moments to, into some quiet time and allow this next guided meditation to allow you experience your breath as a way to quiet your mind.

So let's begin.

Find a quiet place, and if you can either lay down or sit down, get comfortable, be present to your body,

perhaps close your eyes and take a couple of deep breaths. Breathe in. And breathe out.

Breathe in

and breathe out.

And one more time. Breathe in. Breathe out.

Just stay with your breath. Notice it. Flowing into your lungs and flowing out.

Allow your breath to anchor you in your heart space, in your body,

and become aware of the fact that as you are breathing in and breathing out, it is the spirit of God. They are breathing in. And it flows into your lungs, enriches your body with the nutrients and oxygen that you need, and then it flows out into the world.

This is the breath of life in you through you.

Notice how when you focus on your breath, your mind settles. Your breath becomes like a whisper of wind within you

and perhaps a calm embraces you. The divine flow of God's loving embrace. Embracing you with every breath you take,

whenever you need to quiet your mind, recognize that God has given you your breath as the pathway to stillness, as the pathway to allow your mind to quiet, to sink into your heart. So that you can be fully present in this moment, grateful for every breath you take, and whenever the world gets overwhelming or your mind races, you can simply pause.

Stop for a moment and notice your breath, the spirit of God flowing in and through you.

Thank you for taking these few moments to quiet your mind with a breath practice. Continue to use this spiritual tool to allow you to enter into the inner sanctuary within you, your heart space. And know that you can come back to this breath. Practice whenever you need to. Quiet your mind, reconnect with your true self, and experience the presence of God.

God bless you. Until next time, Namaste.
