When We Feel Lost
Sometimes life feels confusing, and God seems far away. But what if being lost isn’t a mistake—it’s an opening?

In this episode, brian j plachta shares how moments of feeling lost can become invitations to let God find us again. When we stop trying to think our way to God and simply open our hearts, grace meets us right where we are.

Have you ever sat with God, maybe stood and shook your fist and said, what do you want from me, God? What do you want from me?

You know, there's those times in our lives when suffering comes after us. People say harsh words around us. We feel like we're living the imposter syndrome in our lives.

We mentally attack ourselves with our thoughts and we believe in God. We try to follow him, but it's hard. It's tough. And there's just times when you just get overwhelmed trying to think your way to God and God seems absent.

You can't understand. What are you doing? Why are you letting all this bad stuff happen to me and in the world and you're trying to follow Him.

And you get to the point of saying, I don't know where I'm going. What do you want from me? I'm lost. And it's that point in our lives. It just happened the other day for me. I looked up at the stars in the sky and said, what do you want from me, God? I feel so lost. And I heard God whisper, not in audible words, but just a gentle thought. I'm glad you're lost because now you'll let me find you.

So when you're lost, when you don't know where to turn, when life is overwhelming and trying to think your way to God isn't working anymore, feel free to look up at the heavens and say, God, what do you want from me? And then be honest with God, be authentic and say, I feel lost. And in that stillness, in that quiet moment, let God find you.

In the stillness of your heart, in your sacred heart, God will find you. God is the good shepherd who knows his sheep. And we're all those sheep. We're all lost at times. And thank God we have a God that finds us. May God find you again and again as he continues to find me.

And may you have the courage at times to say to God, I'm lost, God. Find me.
