The elderly and disabled are always at risk of being culled because it is cheaper to eiiminate them than to provide proper care and treat their illnesses. We believe in the sanctity of ALL life from Womb to Tomb as my guest Elizabeth points out. I used to say Cradle to Grave but that left out the unborn. Elizabeth has been advocating for over 25 years and served as media spokeswoman, public policy director, fundraiser, political strategist, patient advocate, and a sidewalk counselor.
With her leadership and lobbying efforts, the Texas legislature passed and enacted historic pro-life laws, including significantly defunding the abortion industry in Texas. She also advocates with countless families whose ailing loved ones faced difficult medical ethics decisions and the futility process at hospitals. She is drawn to the Pro-Life cause because of the devastation caused by abortion in the lives of women who have made that tragic choice, as well as the injustice of medically vulnerable patients who are denied medical treatment.
She serves as a volunteer with Healthcare Advocacy and Leadership Organization better known as HALO. If you have listened to any of my programs you have often heard me talk about HALOVOICE. This advcacy agency has A LOT of information to assist people who are considering hospice or are in hospice or hospital and need support. During our program, we will share more about what HALO offers.
