Wayne Kindred, age 81 had medical issues that kept him from being able to care for himself but fortunately Rena, his wife loved him and took very good care of him. Having kidney and heart issues, Wayne qualified for hospice services and enrolled September 2023 for in home care. The typical hospice comfort kit filled with toxic drugs had been left at the home for Rena and her daughters to give him as needed, but the drugs were never needed so sat in that bag.
The hospice nurse on day one started prepping Rena for putting Wayne into respite care at their facility where she could receive a break from taking care of him. Eventually Rena decided to take her up on the offer and the family was pleased with the physical facility after they had visited. Hospice said all the right things and it seemed like a win win where Wayne would receive care, Rena would get rest and in 5 days Wayne would be back home again. That was the plan that never came to be.
Immediately they began to drug Wayne with the one size fits all drugs and instead of coming home, Wayne was taken on a gurney to the morgue. Hospice staff knew the playbook well and another unsuspecting family was ripped apart.
