These two have been instrumental in bringing the predatory guardianship business into full public view especially in Colorado. Currently, they are supporting HB22– 1271. This bill would require families to be notified within 24 hrs. of the death of the ward. The Colorado BAR Assoc. is 100% against this bill. As it is, they can wait weeks or even months to report.
Nationwide it is estimated that many law firms make 60% of their income from guardianship and conservatorship cases. They have no intentions of allowing this cash cow they have created to be altered when financial exploitation and theft of estates is so easy. The cost to the victim is horrendous, but the cost to the families is equally painful.
Those who exploit the elderly are predators. They have no conscience, no morals, and no personal integrity. Using a law degree to enable you to prey on the vulnerable should be examined closely. All of this dirty business is facilitated by the probate tribunals which are not Constitutional Art III courts of law.
