TS Radio Network: The USDA Hour 2/25/21 USDA Civil Rights
Join Lawrence Lucas this evening as he and his guests give an update on civil rights and its impact on Black farmers and national politics.
Over major objections from many corners, Tom Vilsack was appointed yet again to head up USDA. Having endured years of abuse and mistreatment from Vilsack's first appointment, Black and minority farmers have a reason to be concerned. So too do the USDA employees who have suffered retaliation and hardship for blowing the whistle on the abuses of USDA under Vilsack.
Civil rights are a concern for all involved. Lawrence will be talking with several major activists who have been exposing and fighting this system for decades. Please tune in for an update on the current situation and what the future might hold for Black and other minority farmers under the Biden Administration.
