Join us this evening as we host Kathi Richardson whose mother has been captured in the predatory system of guardianship in Pensylvania. Familiar names appear in this case; names known for the trafficking of the elderly for profit.
A perfect example of how a targeted elderly person can be used to generate income for numerous attorney's, guardians of all kinds, and a so-called geriatric manager. Everybody gets a piece of the pie while the victim is systematically drained of all assets, including selling her home for no apparent reason other than the predators profit.
My mother has been in guardianship for just over two years now.
I am still guardian of her person,
there is a guardian of estate,
lawyer for guardian of estate,
geraratic manager,
and court appointed lawyer.
"I've had my own lawyer from the beginning. I've been diligent in the care for my mother and have managed to keep her in her home until the end of August when she had a fall. She is now in a rehab/skilled nursing home and they are working to sell her home."
Given what I know of other guardianship stories, I've prepared myself to watch my mother decline rapidly and see her entire estate drained."
