TS Radio Network: Tanya TalkS WRONGFUL CONVICTION- Ed Turlington
IT’S A WRAP, as we finish the series with Ed aka “Boss Hog”
Edwin was charged with attempted homicide while on his recently purchased family farm- when he shot a man in the leg in self defense. The man he shot is Darell Philpott, a known felon and wanted felon.
Darrell was making meth on Ed’s property. When Ed approached him and his buddies and told them to leave, Darrell, unlike the others, chose to stay and come after him with a glass bottle in his hand.
The Prosecution tried to say that Ed shot him while his back was turned. That’s just not the case as the evidence shows. Ed, a retired military man with a clean record and a family man and family with an exemplary history of service was being wrongfully charged. Why?
Philpott was a snitch for the little town of Jay in Delaware County Oklahoma. They protected him. But there’s so much more. Winston Connor was Turlington’s first attorney and Ed just couldn’t figure out why he wasn’t doing his job and fighting for his clients rightful freedom. It turns out that Winston Connor. a well respected lawyer that everyone told Ed to go to -he’s the one who will get you out of this mess. It was just opposite.
Winston Connor, at the age of 54 was arrested for solicitation of first- degree murder, racket, and unlawful communication with an inmate.
There were many obstacles in this mans way.
Edwin Turlington spoke at The Inaugural Journeys to Justice and Wrongful Convicting rally at the OKC State house in March of 2019. At that time, he was still fighting for his life with his young family on that adorable little farm on the border of Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Let these wins we share with you instill hope and faith and as well, process and diligence. Never give up!
