Do you think you have what it takes? You may hear that question asked of a game show contestant as they’re about to start the game to win a big sum of cash. You may hear that question asked of an employer in the interview room as you’re searching for a new job. This morning we don’t hear God ask “Do you have what it takes?” but instead we hear God say, “So, you think you don’t have what it takes to be a missionary? Let me show you how you have exactly what it takes.” Because of the forgiveness that Christ won for us on the cross, you have exactly what it takes. You have Jesus and you have his Word.
