The Big News Season Finale
This episode is a little different because… it’s the season finale! And then some. Don’t worry, I explain everything, including:
- Why I’m pressing pause on the podcast (with love, not burnout)
- My final biz thoughts, for now
- What’s been lighting me up in my client work lately
- A sneak peek into my other podcast, Things My Mother Forgot to Mention
- The launch of BizMagic BFFs, my new online biz & tech community
- How you can still get support through Strategy Sessions, Tech Check, and Tech Magic services
Even though the podcast is going on hiatus, there are so many ways for us to stay connected. And honestly? This pause is less about stepping away and more about making space for the magic that’s happening elsewhere.
So whether you’ve been listening from day one or just dropped in, THANK YOU. I’m truly grateful for your ears, your time, and your trust.

Welcome back to another episode of the Biz Magic Podcast, your place for all things tech in your online business with solids of General Biz Chat too. My name is Patty Meyer and I am the CEO and founder of Biz Magic, where my team and I support entrepreneurs who are overwhelmed. By the backend tech of their business, we create, implement, and teach the tweaks that help our clients make a bigger impact with less stress.
Before we dive into today's episode, I wanna tell you about something new and exciting that I am offering here at Biz Magic. Sometimes you just need a friendly space, a little tech help, and someone to say. Hey, did you do that thing yet? That is why I'm super excited to introduce Biz Magic BFF's online biz and Tech Community.
It is a Slack hosted, low pressure, high support online community for solopreneurs. Creatives and online business owners who want connection, accountability, and access to tech and business support without the noise. So whether you're mid-launch in a tech tangle, or just craving a little company while you work, this is your back pocket biz support.
Crew included in Biz Magic BFFs is access to me, Patty, and my entire biz and tech brain twice a month at Biz Magic's office hours live on Zoom. You can drop in and get quick. Hit tech support. Or your business questions answered in real time. You get coworking sessions with this really amazing community.
You have support inside the Slack community as well, so you can share, you can get feedback, you can ask for tech support there. And you can have a general accountability. The good thing is that this is not a space where we have forced engagement. There's no sales, there's no drama, none of that. It is just a place for you to show up and create connection with other online business.
Owners. Until now, biz Magic BF has been an invite only community and I am opening it up to Biz Magic's larger community. So for right now, it is only $30 a month, but the price will go up. So if you wanna learn more, hop on over to biz magic.co/bff. Now let's dive into the episode. Today's episode is going to be a little bit different than usual.
This is the season finale episode of the Biz Magic Podcast, and maybe a little bit more than that, uh, which I will get into in a little bit. So let's dive in. Okay, first things first. I really wanna start by saying thank you. Whether this is your first episode or you've been with me all year long, I am genuinely so grateful that you've taken time out of your day, your week, your month.
Your year to listen to this podcast. I know how many incredible podcasts there are out there. I listen to a lot of them, and so it really means something to me that Biz Magic has earned a spot in your queue. This show has been. Such a joy for me to create. Over the last year, I've used this space to share the kinds of business conversations that I wish were more common.
Conversations that are honest, a little bit nerdy. Totally practical and are always grounded in the idea that there is no one size fits all way to run a business. And that's why this episode is a little bittersweet for me to record because I'm pressing pause on the Biz Magic Podcast. And I'll say more about what that means in a minute.
But I wanna first talk about why. Over the past year, I've been lucky enough to step more deeply into client work, which is work that I love. The kinds of projects I've been taking on lately have lit me up in the best possible way, and I've been really intentional about putting more of my energy and attention there.
And if you've listened to this show for any length of time, you know, I don't believe in forcing things just because they're a part of a checklist. And so. For me, that includes podcasting. When I first started the podcast back up, I was able to work ahead and take my time with each episode and really make something that I was truly proud of.
And lately it's been a bit more last minute than I'd like. And so while I've still been showing up and sharing from the heart, I can feel a little bit of stress around. Doing these episodes, and I know that over time that stress will chip away at the quality of the content and the joy of what I'm creating.
And that's just not what I want for myself, let alone for you. So I'm taking a little hiatus. I don't know if that hiatus will be for a few months or a year or forever. I'm definitely not closing the door completely. There may be future seasons, there may be pop-up episodes when inspiration strikes. I wanna leave the door open for all of that, but for now, I'm giving myself permission to just shift gears.
So what I want you to know is this, I have absolutely loved creating this podcast from the like to the depths of my soul. It has been one of the most fulfilling and fun things I've done on my business in a while. Sharing information, busting myths and empowering business owners like you to build something that feels right has been a privilege to me as far as I'm concerned.
And I mean that so truly, and just because I'm pausing the new content doesn't mean that everything disappears. All of the past episodes will still be up, ready for you to listen to or re-listen to anytime you want. So if there are episodes that you've missed or ones you wanna revisit, they're not going anywhere.
But if you love hearing me talk, as much as I love hearing myself talk, I have good news for you. Uh, you may not know this, but I have another podcast that I do on the side called Things My Mother Forgot to mention. It is not a business podcast. It is a passion project podcast, and it is deeply aligned with how I try to show up in the world, honestly, humanly.
And you know, I like trying to make people laugh. So I co-host this show with my colleague Jan Bergstrom, and it's a space where we talk about all the stuff that women don't usually feel comfortable talking about, like perimenopause, menopause, sex, body changes, anxiety, sexual assault, cancer. You know, all the fun stuff, but we do bring humor and heart and honesty to every episode, and I love this podcast so, so much.
So if you're curious about it or want to hear a different side of me and still hear me talk about things you can head over to things my mother forgot to mention.com and I'll put that in the show notes and give it a listen. We release episodes every other week and we're building. A really lovely, supportive community of listeners there too, which I just, I, I just freaking love it so much.
So, you know, I'm, I'm never going to shy away from talking about taboo topics and things that I really strongly believe that people need to hear. So that all happens over there. Now, back to the business side of things. Even though the podcast is going on hiatus, there is still plenty of ways to stay connected and get support from me.
So first and foremost, kind of the easiest way to get. Help for me and to be able to pick my brain and still get tips for me and all of that is Biz Magic BFFs. This is my new online business and tech community, and it is such a great way to stay in the loop. It's affordable, it's low pressure, and it gives you quick hit support when you need it.
Without having to sign up for a full project or retainer with me. Plus, you'll get connected to other amazing business owners who also get kind of the process that you're in. And so you can check that out at biz magic.co/bff. Everything I talk about today, I am gonna put in the show notes so that you can find ways to connect with me.
And of course, if you do want to go deeper, I'm always here for more hands on help in your business. If your website needs some love, whether it's a total redesign or just a facelift, I am your person. Website design is one of my absolute favorite things to do, and I offer both custom site builds and ongoing maintenance support.
If your tech stack feels overwhelming or outdated, I can help with that Also. Whether you're building from scratch, refining what you already have, or needing help to find the right platform for what you're doing, I've got you. Two of the services that I've built specifically for this are the tech check, which is a great place to start if you want an expert to take a look at your current systems, or if you are in the middle of a launch or getting ready for a launch or getting ready for some sort of release.
We'll review what you're using, what's working, what's not, and give you real recommendations to streamline your tech Plus fix any hiccups or things that we see might not work during a launch or anything else, and that you can get more information@bizmagic.co slash tech hyphen check. And then there's Tech Magic.
This is the hands-on Get It Done Service, where I help you actually implement and migrate to new tools and platforms. So this is where I can help you figure out exactly what tools to use and get you all set up in there. And. Built out a nice little home. We take the stress of your plate so that you can get back to doing what you do best, and you can find all the details of that at Biz magic.co/tech hyen magic.
But if you just want some access to my brain for all of your biz and tech questions, that is what my strategy sessions are for. These are 60 minute sessions, one-on-one, where we can deep dive into whatever it is you're working on. It's a great way to get clarity, to make a plan and to walk away with tangible next steps, and you can sign up there at BM magic.co/business strategy.
You can find everything I just talked about on my website also in the show notes. Of course, if you're not sure what you need, just reach out. You can always contact me through my website and we'll figure it out together. Before I wrap up, I want to leave you with the same core message I've shared again and again on this show, and that is to trust yourself.
There is so much advice out there about how to run a business, so many blueprints and systems and strategies and hot takes. Some of it is helpful and some of it is not. Listen to what's out there and take in what resonates with you, and don't be afraid to let go of what doesn't. Because again, there is no right way to run a business.
There's only the way that works best for you and your business. Your business is unique because you are unique. Your offers, your voice, your value, your goals, your audience. These are all individual pieces of the puzzle that is your business. There is no one size fits all template that's going to perfectly match what you're building.
And honestly, that is a good thing. Can you imagine if everybody's businesses looked the same? You know more than you think you do. You know more about your business than anybody else, so trust your instincts, trust your gut, and maybe most importantly, love what you're doing. Do this work because you love it, because it lights you up and.
In the moments when that light gets dim for you, and it will get dim from time to time because business is freaking hard and life is hard. Just take a breath, pause. Reconnect with your original why, and I promise you that connection back to that will lead you to the next best step, even if it totally looks different than what you imagined before.
I never pictured any of the things I'm doing now in my business as what my business would become, but I love it so deeply and this podcast has been a part of that. So thank you again. So, so much truly for listening to this podcast, for supporting it and sharing it over the last year. Um, if you want more episodes in the future, let me know.
Sometimes it can feel like we're creating content in a vacuum, and so. Your feedback really matters. Tell me what you've loved. Tell me what you want more of and what kinds of guests or topics you'd like to hear if the show comes back. And that will very likely light a fire under me to, to bring it back.
Um, but it's important for me to hear from you. Plus I just love hearing from you and you can always reach out to me if you have anything at all that you would like to share. About your business, about just whatever you know. I am, I'm a fan of you, and so. I really appreciate you, and just remember to take care of yourself, trust yourself, and here's to your biz success.
