But I feel like it’s the same way in life. Whether it’s a dream we’re chasing, or a goal we’ve set, we all have marks that we want to hit. Those marks guide us to where we need to be. That’s what this show is all about. I’m sitting down with incredible creative people to talk about their journeys—what hitting their mark looks like.

This time I’m sitting down with the incredible Delores Lakey-Stewart, lovingly known as Aunt Dee! Her story is nothing short of miraculous.
Doctors once said she wouldn’t survive or would be brain-dead, but through faith, prayer, and her mother anointing her with oil, Aunt Dee has lived a blessed and impactful life. She has gone on to become a talented musician, a minister, and a powerhouse in faith-based theater, traveling the nation with her inspiring stage plays and poems.
In this episode, we talk about what keeps her motivated, her passion for pouring into the next generation, and her role in my short film People, where she plays a character much like herself—a mentor and support system for young people pursuing their dreams.
