Growing up in a home marked by instability and addiction, Lisa Hendricks longed for something different. She watched her father encounter Christ when she was fourteen, but for years she believed she could build the life she wanted through hard work, determination, and success.
Driven and capable, Lisa eventually started a charter school and poured herself into making it succeed. But the pressure became overwhelming. The stress led to physical illness, depression, and a breaking point she never expected.
In that season, Lisa discovered something life-changing: everything she had been searching for—peace, belonging, and the family she always dreamed of—could only be found in Christ.
In this episode of Into the Deep, Lisa shares her powerful testimony of surrender, healing, faith, and how God led her from striving to resting in Him. She also shares how God brought her together with her husband, Reese, and how they eventually helped plant Mosaic Church.
