Speaker 1:

Good morning everyone. Good morning, good morning, good morning everyone. Let's have a word of prayer, father. We thank you so much, in the name of Jesus, that this is the beginning of a whole new level in their life. Father, lord, that opportunities will come that their hearts yearn for, that the problems of yesteryears will just all be history, lord, in the name of Jesus, as they sow the word of God in their hearts and as they reap a hundredfold in every area of their lives. In Jesus' name, amen. So good to have you back here again.

Speaker 1:

All right, so today we are talking about how do you love yourself? How do you love yourself? Yesterday we had a very long conversation, you know, and we got to a point where we started talking about us as human beings having mercy, as Christians, having mercy on one another. That's, we shouldn't just quickly judge people, but rather we should have mercy, and not to talk evil about people just because we want to feel better about the issues that we have in our own lives, but rather to have mercy on one another, to give room for mistakes if that's the case, and be quick to forgive as well. Today we're going to take it. Then we mentioned yes, we mentioned that about the fact that the Bible, jesus, says that we ought to love the Lord, our God, with all of our hearts and also to love our neighbors as ourselves. All right, and the assumption is that for you to be able to love your neighbor, you already love yourself, because love your neighbor as yourself. So that means there's an assumption that you already love yourself. But we do know that that's not the case today. You know, because there are people who do not know how to love themselves, especially, I would say, mothers, for instance, there are many mothers, you know, who sacrifice everything about themselves, you know, for the sake of their children, especially, for the sake of their families. About themselves, you know, for the sake of their children especially, or for the sake of their families. And fathers, on the other hand, are already just used to living selfishly Apart from providing for the family. They don't care anymore. Not all fathers, of course. Some fathers good morning, sam, welcome. You know. So some fathers are like that, you know, but not everyone.

Speaker 1:

So today we are talking about how do you love yourself, because there is an assumption from scriptures that you already know how to love yourself before you can love your neighbor. Do you see that. So we need to break it down. How do you love yourself? The way you're loving yourself, is it, you know, the way it should be? I mean, if I ask you, do you love yourself, for instance, people? I mean in light of the gospel, it feels as if it's a narcissistic question Because, I mean, people are generally just selfish these days, right, and they think more about themselves than they think about other people. It's just a selfish world. Basically, why would this teach people how to love themselves? Because there is a way that you're supposed to love yourself and if you're not loving yourself in that way, you will not be able to love others or love your neighbor in the way that the Bible prescribes that you love your neighbor, amen. So we have to look at that.

Speaker 1:

So we said that the question may sound narcissistic in nature. You know, after all, isn't one of the problems of the world today, isn't it selfishness? You know, because people love themselves too much and they do not love others enough. You know, and love, of course, self-love, we know, is the root of greed and abuse, that we know that self-love is the root of um greed and abuse and if you want to look at it, you're wondering, if you're talking about loving yourself, doesn't it mean that you're complacent and that you know, like you're trying to, you know it feels like people will just end it there, like they wouldn't have the desire to change anymore. If you're not talking about you know how they should love others before loving themselves.

Speaker 1:

Well, the Bible doesn't put loving others before loving yourself, before loving themselves. Well, the Bible doesn't put loving others before loving yourself. The Bible puts yourself first before loving others and the Bible prescribes the way. There is a way that you ought to be loving yourself and if you love yourself like that, then you'll also be able to love others. Well, there are people who you know are. So there are people that are people pleasers. You know that would do anything for others in the name of loving others.

Speaker 1:

No, in loving others doesn't mean that you have to lie down and then let people just use you as a, as a rock, a doormat or something like that. No, you know that is not what it means. You have to love people, how god designed for you to love people. So first you have to love yourself, because the bible says love your neighbor as yourself. So the assumption is that you know, have to love yourself, because the Bible says love your neighbor as yourself. So the assumption is that you know how to love yourself, and we are talking about how do you love yourself, you know, today.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so the truth is, most of us do not love ourselves nearly well enough, and that's the reason why we cause so much pain on others. You know, there are people in relationships I've also been in that kind of relationship where, you know, I loved somebody so much, you know, but because he didn't love himself well, you know, he couldn't understand why I loved him that way, do you see? And so the abuse was, you know, just was just like it was easy. It was easy for me to be abused because he felt like, if he didn't love himself, me loving him, you know, made it look as if maybe I was not worth much after all, you know. So it's very important. We have to understand the true nature of love. Glory to God. Yes, now, I did say that if we must love ourselves as we love others, then it follows that we must also love ourselves. Yes, we must love ourselves in the light.

Speaker 1:

The bottom line of today's topic is that you have to love yourself in the light of the gospel of the Lord Jesus. You have to love yourself in the light of the gospel. You have to love yourself in the light of the gospel, because you have to also love others in the light of the gospel. You have to love yourself in the light of the gospel because you have to also love others in the light of the gospel. For you to love others properly, you have to love them in the light of the gospel. What does Jesus say about people? What does Jesus say you should do for people or do about people? How does the Bible prescribe that you should love people?

Speaker 1:

For you to be loving anybody correctly, even if it's your spouse, you know, you have to love your spouse in the light of the gospel. What does the gospel say? It says that you are forgiven. I am forgiven. We did say some days ago that there are no perfect people. You know there is nobody who is a perfect person, but we are all forgiven people. We also said that there are no good people, right, but we are all forgiven people. God Jesus died for our sins and he forgave us, and we are all forgiven people. That means if you're in a relationship with your spouse, you have to view them as a forgiven person. That means there isn't anything that your spouse can do to you that you would not forgive. The same way that applies to you. For you to be able to say that this is what you're doing, you're loving yourself correctly, you have to love yourself. In the light of the gospel. You must become acquainted with who God says that you are. You have to accept who God says that you are. You have to embrace who God says you are. You have to leave that person without bias. Do you hear that For you to be loving yourself correctly, it means you have to become acquainted with who God says that you are. Not just that, you have to accept who God says that you are. You know and you have to embrace it. Then you have to leave that person without bias. You have to leave who God says you are without bias, no matter how.

Speaker 1:

Somebody who doesn't love himself is the person that the Bible says has an evil conscience. I've talked about this before, but we'll still break it down some more. Remember when I talked about co-perception. If you missed the video, please go and find it, because it's a branch of what I'm talking about today. You have to understand co-perception for you to understand this topic very well. You have to leave who God says that you are for you to be able to love yourself.

Speaker 1:

Hebrews, chapter 10, verse 22, says something. It says let us draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. It says we have to draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. What is an evil conscience? I told you that everywhere you see the word conscience in the Bible, it's speaking about co-perception, co-perception, conscience is co-perception, and I'm just going to break it down again for you in case you've forgotten about it, just to you know, just your memory, a little bit.

Speaker 1:

Right, you are a spirit being, you have a soul, you live in a body. The spirit being lives in this body, right, but I am, as you're looking at me, the one that you see through my eyes is the spirit being, but I live in a body and I have a soul. Okay, now, when the spirit body has spirit mouth, nose, eyes, you know spirit, clothes also, and all of that. It's not a naked person, all right, but he's eternal. The spirit is eternal, lives forever. This body doesn't live forever. It will die here, eventually, after judgment, after the judgment, our bodies will be. After the judgment, at the rapture, our bodies will be upgraded to spirit bodies so that they don't die anymore, right, however?

Speaker 1:

So now the voice of the spirit, the voice of your spirit. I told you your spirit has a spirit mouth, nose, ears, you know, and all of that spiritual senses. So the voice of your spirit is your conscience. All right, the voice of your spirit is your conscience. And the thing about the voice of your spirit, the thing about your spirit, is that your spirit will get information from the realm of the spirit, either from Satan or from God. Satan is a spirit being, god is a spirit being. So, in the realm of the spirit, there is both evil and there's good. Okay, so there are, there are informations. There are no independent informations. You do not get any independent information. Like you can't just say I see you thought of something. No, every evil person and every good person is being influenced by something from the realm of the spirit. Okay, so if the voice of the voice of the spirit is your conscience and you're getting information from God, you are having co-perception with God. That's what conscience is. Conscience is co-perception Right. You're perceiving something alongside with God. That's what you have a perspective. You have the same perspective with God. That's co-perception. You have the same perspective with God. That's co-perception.

Speaker 1:

Now, if the information that your spirit is getting is from Satan, then you have an evil co-perception or evil conscience. Now this scripture, let's read it again Hebrews, chapter 10, verse 22. It says let us draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith. Then he says having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, having your heart, your heart, is a spirit man. He says having your spirit man sprinkled from an evil conscience or an evil co-perception, and our bodies washed with pure water. So he's telling us. Now this scripture is making so much sense when you understand what a co-perception is or what an evil conscience is all right, because your co-perception is your conscience. And I said that when you are seeing, you have the same perspective with God. That is co-perception with God. If you have a, that's a good conscience. Also, If you have a co perception or a co-perspective with Satan, then you have an evil conscience.

Speaker 1:

And the Bible is telling us sprinkle your spirit man, so that you no longer have a co-perception of evil. You know, for you to have information from Satan, you have to see yourself the way God sees you. That's what he's talking about. So for you to love yourself first, remember what I said at the beginning. I said for you to be able to love yourself, you have to first become acquainted with who God says you are. Then you become acquainted, all right, accept it. Accept who God says you are, embrace who God says you are, and then you have to leave that person without bias. You have to leave who God says you are without bias. You know you can't look left right. No, you're just going to focus on who God says you are and you're going to leave that person. This is the key to constant victory the rest of your life that you have to leave who God says you are.

Speaker 1:

Remember when a manufacturer manufactures something, he has an idea of what that person or that thing should be or how that thing should operate. There's even a manufacturer's manual. Do you see that? The same thing when God created you, he created you with a purpose and an intent. He knows how you should live your life to the fullest. He knows how you can be the best that he has called you to be. God knows all those things about you.

Speaker 1:

If God already knows these things about you, you want to have a co-perception with God. You want to perceive the same way God perceives you. That's how you can only win in this life, so that you can forge ahead and leave that person that God called you to be, without bias. Glory to God. Okay, so you have to embrace, be acquainted with who God says you are. You have to accept who God says you are. You have to embrace it and then you must leave that person without bias. Glory to God.

Speaker 1:

If you do not love yourself, you have an evil conscience. If you look at yourself in the mirror and you say, oh, you're so ugly, oh, it may be hard and you made a mistake, you know. And then you're so hard on yourself and all that you know. You have to go back to the word of God, to the mirror, to the manufacturer's manual for your life. The Bible is the manual for your life. So you need to go back to the Bible and find out what does God say about me? How would you know what God says about you?

Speaker 1:

There's a system that Kenny Higgins said he uses. You know he used to use. He's going to be with a lot now, you know, to be able to check all the things that God has given to him. He says if you want to know, you have to look for the phrases in him, in whom and in Christ he says. When you're reading the Bible, you know, get your marker and mark out in him Everywhere you see. You see it's written in him or in whom, in whom we have an inheritance, for instance, in him, in whom and in Christ he says. All those things will give you the keys to actually knowing what the Bible says about you, who God says you are actually knowing what the Bible says about you, who God says you are.

Speaker 1:

There's a confession that we make, which also I think it came from Kenneth Hagin also but we make this confession in our church. We say I am who God says I am. I can do what God says I can do and I have what God says I have. So these are the things that you're going to find in him when, anytime you say the word in him, mark it out in new testament. I mean you know, you mark it out in him, in whom and in christ and then take note of what he says about you in christ, what he says about you in him.

Speaker 1:

You know, just take note of all of those things and try and align yourself, meditate on those things and have a co-perception. You know so, where you see that the Bible says that you're rich in Christ, that for your sakes Christ died so that you might become rich. He became poor so that you might become rich. And you're looking at yourself and you know that the mortgage is calling you like you know there's so much debts here and there. You know credits here and there and you don't know how to get out of that financial situation.

Speaker 1:

At that point you remember the scripture that Christ died. He exchanges poverty for your riches and because of that he says so that you might be rich. When you meditate upon it and the realization comes to you that you are actually rich, do you meditate upon it and the realization comes to you that you are actually rich? Do you know what that does? Half of the problem is already solved because first you have to understand that you're rich, although you cannot see it because it does not manifest to you, but you already reach all the things that you need. They are all around you, but you have to get in that place where you can manifest it, where you can call it forth. So, once you know that, you begin to speak it and speak it forth, and speak it forth, and speak it forth, and speak it forth, and before you know what's happening, everything in life will align and everything will be all right. Glory to God. You'll begin to. You know, I said I won't use the word manifest again, but you materialize those things. Glory to God, you materialize those things.

Speaker 1:

So if you don't love yourself, you have an evil conscience, because God I mean the Bible says you should love. I mean you have to love yourself for you to be able to love others. I've also found out that people who don't love themselves don't know how to love others. I told you that from a personal experience. Someone who is not able to take care of themselves would not know how to take care of you. So if you're looking for someone to be married to, you have to check out how they're taking care of themselves, because if they are not able to take care of themselves, they can't take care of you. Now, somebody who knows how to take care of himself but does not know how to take care of you. That is a selfish person. You should not be with that person. Just check. They would do Like, if you go to a friend's house, for instance, and then maybe you need to do a sleepover, or they make you do a sleepover, and then they say, okay, I can share some of my clothes or my nightie with you, and they give you a shirt or they give you something to wear, and all of that, check the state of what they give you to wear. You know if it's of an inferior quality or something that is not. Just know that. Okay, this person.

Speaker 1:

There's a way some people behave. They want to give you the less um quality stuff. You don't want to be with that person. You don't want to be with the person, especially if it's in a, a relationship. You know, um, that would go into that would lead to marriage. For instance, how they treat you, is it the way they treat themselves? If they're going to give you food to eat at home? The quality of food that on your plate, is it the same quality of food on their plate or is it better? If the quality of food on your plate is better than theirs, then you know, of course, that this person really loves you, you know, and you know would prefer you. I mean, the Bible says you should prefer one another. You know, prefer the other person over yourself. So when it comes to situations like that, that person that gives you, will give you your own plate of food but still would want to share his own with you. Now, that's a keeper. Do you see that? Now, no-transcript you have to be as gentle as lambs. Do you see that? You have to be very smart, you have to be understanding, you have to know Glory to God, all right. So I read that.

Speaker 1:

So conscience is co-perception, just going over it. Evil is full of labels, annoyances, hardships, pressed and harassed by labels bringing toils, annoyance, anything that is bringing toil into your life, hard work or annoyance. If you're in that relationship and you just find yourself, you know the person is just demanding and demanding and you know they are just taking from you and you're feeling, you know, like pressed, all from all sides, and you're just feeling annoyed and all that you know perils, you know time, like things that will disturb your Christian life. You know it shouldn't, that shouldn't happen. Evil should not be a part of your life. Evil is characterized not just by you know like, you know bad things happening, but also like stress. You know hardship. You know life should be easy because the grace of God is made available.

Speaker 1:

So if you're in a relationship, you're working and it's so, you know you should know you should be like no, it shouldn't be this difficult, because it should be easy for you to flow with someone that you want to be with. You would want to flow with a person easily. You know like, you want to have that connection with the person and just go smoothly, easy. You know it shouldn't be so difficult. The person that you ought to be with, that you ought to be with, that you know you should be with. It shouldn't be difficult for you to be with the person. It shouldn't be stressful. It shouldn't be difficult to have a communication, like to talk about something. It should be easy. You know it should be simple, easy. Nothing should be difficult for you to discuss.

Speaker 1:

Really, you know, but when you find yourself stressing and toiling and trying so hard to make it work, maybe that place, that relationship, is not for you. Because the love is in there. Glory to God. The love is in there. So you have to, you have to love yourself. You have to have a co perception of God. You know you have to sorry co-perception with God concerning who you are in Christ. You know who you are in Christ. I am who God says I am. I can do what God says. I can do. I have what God says. I have Very, very important, very, very important Glory to God. All right, so let's take a look some more and then, yes, so now let's go. How do you love yourself?

Speaker 1:

Number one get rid of an evil conscience. There are thoughts that are coming into your heart and telling you you're this such a bad person? Or maybe you're just going to not, you're not going to amount to much, or maybe because of your choices and other people, some people so plant this seed into your heart and you accept you because that's their perception of you. But their perception of you is it the same with the perception of god? You know, if god's perception of you does not line with other people's perception of you, then it's just an opinion. Like, you need to get rid of people's opinion. You don't need people's opinion, you need God's perspective in your life. You need the perception of God in your life. All right, and you see the way God sees you. God sees you in the light of the sacrifice of Jesus.

Speaker 1:

God is not lying when he says he loves you. When God says there is nothing bad about you, you know he's not lying. It's because Jesus has already paid the price. Why do you want to pay the price a second time? If you're punishing yourself, then do you want to go and die on the cross again, because Jesus already paid the punishment for your life, for your perfection? He paid the punishment, all your mistakes and all the things that you do about yourself. And you look at yourself and you say, oh, I'm not so good, I'm not so. All those things you know, all those things that you're being hard on yourself for Jesus already paid the price. There is no point for you to be dying on the cross again. We cannot even kill Jesus a second time. There's no chance of Jesus dying a second time, so you better take advantage of this one that Jesus already has done for you. Glory to God, hallelujah, amen, All right. So you have to you know, love yourself in the light of the sacrifice of Jesus. Yes, you have made a mistake, so what do you say? I made a mistake, but I'm forgiven. Jesus has forgiven. All my sins are forgiven. I say this all the time. All my sins are forgiven.

Speaker 1:

You know, I made a mistake two days ago, you know where I was looking for something, and I actually believed there was somebody else who took it. This person who took it, you know, and I actually confronted the person about it. But then eventually I found it, it was actually somebody else. I was wrong, wow. And this person was so sad, you know, I had to call the person. I said I'm really very sorry. I apologized, apologized, apologized, apologized, you know. And then the next day I kept on apologizing. I called, I kept on apologizing, you know, but I felt so bad, you know, the whole day I felt so bad about it. And the Lord said but you've already apologized and the person has already forgiven you. You need to forgive yourself now, you know. And then Lord said but you've already apologized and the person has already forgiven you. You need to forgive yourself now, you know. And then I said yes, my sins are forgiven, jesus has forgiven me. God doesn't hold this against me anymore. The person doesn't hold it against me anymore. Why do I have to hold this against me now, do you see? You know, because I started questioning.

Speaker 1:

And you know, satan is just, he's just a bastard. Like you know, he would just be looking for different things. You know, to accuse. He's the accuser of the brethren. That is his job. He has to be good at his job. He's the accuser of the brethren. Don't let Satan to accuse you. Yes, somebody broke your heart. Well, good riddance to bad rubbish. Cry because it's good to cry.

Speaker 1:

The experiences, I mean like the experiences I know my dad passed on right and when he passed on it was so painful. I've never experienced such a loss in my entire life. You know, it was so hard, it was so painful, we all cried, I cried oh God, and then there were so many issues surrounding his burial and all of those things and it was not easy. But after coming out of that experience I felt like I've never experienced such a rich. You know, like rich. I've never had such a rich experience in my entire life. Because through everything that happened, everything it was just so rich. It was just so rich and I loved, like, looking at it, like now I grew. You know, when the bible says that hard times will actually, you know, make you stronger, make you better, will make you have more faith. It's really true, you know so. It was just such a rich experience. Now I'm saying so, but at that time it was so hard.

Speaker 1:

So if you have been in love with someone before and they broke your heart, guess what it's afterwards? It's good. Enjoy it Like cry. That's what I mean. Cry over it, you know. Make sure you cry, do anything like you know, lament over the situation and cry because it's a rich experience. And then, when you're done, get up and start to build your life again. Don't stay down. Don't stay down. Okay, nobody should be giving that power to put you down for a long time. Nobody should have that power to put you down for a very long time. Don't stay down After you must have cried about it. You, you have to like just time can heal every heartbreak. Did you know that Time would heal it? But when you're crying, cry about it Like, openly, don't be shy, don't keep the tears in, just cry and wail. I'd be like, oh, I love the species so much. Oh well, life goes on. Do you get? So? You now build yourself up again and then you begin to move.

Speaker 1:

Be someone who is a lover, like you can love your heart to be. If your heart has been broken, do you know what it means? It means that you had the rare opportunity of being loved and loving someone. Do you see? Loving and being loved? It's awesome. It's an awesome experience. There are some people who have never experienced it before. Do you know that that's something that they're believing God for? You know? So, if that has happened, you know, yeah, go on, move on with your life and then expect, be expected, for the next relationship to be better. You know, pursue the next one with prayers. You know, pursue the next one with the word of God. And you know, with all those things that you're learning, it can only get better. Glory to God. How to love yourself.

Speaker 1:

Number one get rid of an evil conscience. Get into the Bible and find out what God says, that you are, who God says you are, what God says you can do and how. You know all of these things that the Bible says concerning you. Number two you have to release your faith concerning where you are going. Release your faith concerning where you are going. Don't stay down. Wherever you are right now, you cannot be the best. You can be the best, a better version of where you are right now. Okay, you can be a better version, so you have to, you know, get to that point where you know that, yes, you know, I'm a better person, I'm a better version of myself. Now you know. So you keep pushing, but you can't push by faith.

Speaker 1:

The default state of a believer is to walk by faith, so you can only get there by faith. Father, I thank you because I've seen where I've seen a vision of who I want to be. You can write it down, you can even make a vision board about it and pursue that thing by faith. Pursue it by faith in the next five years. This is where I'm going to go to you know, and pursue it by faith. In the name of jesus, I declare that I'm a this, I own this business and I did this, and I just make those confessions over your life. Let's close with first Peter.

Speaker 1:

Chapter 3, verse 16, says having a good conscience that, whereas they speak evil of you as evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. So you see, your good conscience is something that will make people who speak evil about you to become ashamed. Hallelujah, because they are falsely accusing you, and that your good conscience would encourage or enable you to have good conversation, or rather good conduct, with people around you. I told you that a good conscience you have to start with loving yourself. You love yourself by having a good conscience or a good co-perception, and I also told you that that good conscience or good co-perception is what is going to help you to be able to love others. And now you can see that. Now he says that your good conscience will make people that speak evil against you to be ashamed because they are falsely accusing you. And then he says that it will encourage your good conversation. That word conversation is good conduct or good behavior. So it will encourage your good behavior in Christ, meaning that people that are coming close to you, you already have a healthy view about yourself and as they come to you, they also have a healthy view of sorry. You have a. There's a way you relate with them that is connected to the Bible.

Speaker 1:

You've had a hard time loving yourself. I'm going to pray for you in the name of Jesus, father. I ask you, oh God, concerning everyone who is battling with depression or battling with loving themselves. I ask you, father, that the tangible love of God will envelop them right now, in the name of Jesus, father, lord, o God, that their perception will change, o God, from that of evil.

Speaker 1:

I rebuke you, satan, that demonic spirit that is trying to put evil thoughts in your heart. I come against that spirit. Right now, in the name of Jesus, satan, I command you take your hands off of God's people. I declare your mind sanctified. I declare your heart sanctified. I declare you sanctified spirit, soul and body. In the mighty name of Jesus, I put a seal of protection around you and I declare no more evil thoughts, no more evil conscience, no more evil co-perception. In the mighty name of Jesus, you are who God says you are. You can do what God says you can do and you have what God says you have in Jesus' mighty name. Amen, thank you so much. Thank you so much.
