SPEAKER_00:

How to descend through prophecy. Welcome everybody. We've been talking about co-perception and in our last episode we talked about a light in a dark place and how that the prophetic word is a light. We've also said that if you do not have a prophetic word concerning a particular situation in your life, the your first point of prayer is for you to first ask God, what is your picture? Let God show you his picture concerning the situation, and your job is to bring his will to be done on earth as it is done in heaven. So now we're going to be talking about how to discern true prophecy. The Bible gives us a blueprint for us to be able to discern true prophecy. And here are the key principles that you must follow to descend true prophecy. Number one, true prophecy must be consistent with the scriptures, it must be consistent with the Bible. Let me tell you this: true prophecy will never contradict the teachings of the Bible. True prophecy will never contradict the teachings of the Bible. Okay, it must always be consistent with the Bible. Now there are things in the Bible that are straightforward, you know, where you know there are rules. I don't want to use the word rules, but there are there are commandments in the Bible, right? That are express. You just know what the Bible says. But then there are some that are not really express, but you would have to deduce using the principles of justice as seen in the Bible. Okay. Isaiah chapter 8, verse 20, it says, To the law and the testimony, that's to the Bible or to the word of God. If they do not speak according to this word, that's if the prophets, so-called prophets, do not speak according to the word in the Bible, then they have no light of dawn. This is, I like this translation. This is in the NIV, because it kind of like foreshadows, no, it kind of like shows a picture of a prophetic word as a light. So that means you know, remember the scripture that we read in our last episode that we said that in 2 Peter chapter 1, verse 19, that says that we have a more word of prophecy that we're supposed to take heed to and use it as a light that shines in a dark place, right? So now you can see this verse of scripture in the NIV says that there are words that come from some certain prophets that have no light of dawn in them. That means that if you were to take, if we were to have the anatomy of a prophetic word, were to dissect a prophetic word, right, and to break it down to a smallest bit, we would see that it is actually a light. Remember, the Bible is literal. Okay, the realm where we are doesn't really make us know that things are actually, you know, the way they are. It blocks us from seeing a lot of things, right? But it's literal. So you see, it says any prophetic word that goes that's that's any prophet that speaks words that are not according to the word of God, they have no light of dawn. You've heard a lot of prophets. I mean, there are so many prophets, TikTok prophets, even, you know, the ones that are self-acclaimed by TikTok. There are so many kinds of prophets all over the world today. Everybody is claiming they see this and they see that. And the general understanding of a prophet of a prophet is somebody who sees pictures. And I'm trying to tell you that the Bible does not even say that. The Bible doesn't say that because the prophet shows you a picture of your future, or maybe he tells you so and so and so, and you say, Oh, it tells you no, he doesn't show you a picture of your future, he actually tells you of your past, and because he has pointed out some things in your past that are true, you now believe him. That is not the mark of a true prophet. That's not what the Bible says. The Bible says, for you to know that a person is genuine, number one thing is that the words that he speaks must be consistent with the word of God, it must be consistent to the principles in the Bible, it must be consistent, not out of it. Once it is out of it, know that it has no light of dawn. Okay, so any prophetic word that goes against the principles and the teachings of the Bible should be Deuteronomy chapter 13 from verse 1 to 4 says that if a prophet or one who foretells by dreams, that means prophetic words can come to you through dreams. Okay, people who teach that the Holy Spirit cannot lead you by dreams, it's a lie. He can lead you by dreams, he can lead, in fact, the Holy Spirit can lead you anyhow he wants to lead you. Only using even the Holy Spirit himself, he confines himself within the boundaries of the Bible. So God can lead you anyhow he wants to lead you, but within the confines of the word of word of God, not going out of it. All right. So if a prophet or one who foretells by dreams appears amongst you and he announces to you a sign or a wonder, and if the sign or wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, Let us follow other gods, gods that you have not known, and let us worship them. You must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. Do you get that? So you see, this these are prophets that are telling signs or showing signs or wonders, and these things that they are saying are coming to pass. And God says they are not of him, they are not of God. Do you see? They are leading you away from God. So the fact that a miracle is happening by their hands does not mean that they are genuine prophets, dear believer. You need to listen and understand these things. Don't be running helter skelter that you're saying signs and wonders does not make someone a genuine prophet or a genuine person, even. Because they will show you signs and wonders and they will abuse you if you give them the opportunity, too. They are wolves in sheep's cloth in sheep's clothing. That's what the Bible says. So you have to gather sense on this matter. This is very important. So you must have discernment and testing when it comes to prophetic messages. True prophecy will always align with the character and the teaching of God as revealed in the Bible. If a prophecy contradicts the Bible or leads people away from God, it is not from God. And this also means that it is your response. You see, this is this point, it's very, very important. It is your responsibility as the hearer of the prophecy to know beforehand what the Bible says about everything, so that when the so-called false prophets come to you, you will not, it will not be a hassle for you to be able to check if the prophetic word aligns with the scriptures as you already know them. There are many things that sound like Bible, but it is not Bible. I'm telling you, earlier today, someone read me a version of scripture that they use in their in their ministry, right? And the way he put it, he was talking about the the Ten Commandments, right? And they were sharing with me how that they would, instead of saying, Thou shalt have no other gods beside me. Do you understand? No other god besides me. So what they rather say, they shall not worship strange gods. Do you understand? They shall not worship strange gods. So there's a way, in fact, I don't know if I'm getting the exact words. Forgive me if I'm not getting the exact word in. But the by the time we broke it down, you could see that it was obvious that the intention was not to say that God is the only God, that there is only one God. But that statement was loosely made to be able to give room for other gods as approved by that ministry. Do you see? It was couched in such a way that it would give room for other gods to be worshipped, but anything that was not approved by that ministry, then it would they would now see it as strange gods. So it's very important for you to know the Bible. If I didn't know the Bible from beforehand, I would have said, Oh, they're all saying the same thing. They are not all saying the same thing. Do you get people's interpretation matter, and you have to go know the word of God for yourself. The Bible is like the most the best-selling book ever. You hear a lot of pastors. If if you bring 20 pastors together and tell them to talk about the kingdom of God, everybody will say different things, they will end up confusing you because there is no straight body of rules to say, okay, this is how we should have believed these things, or this is what we should say about the kingdom of God, right? They will all say different things until you get confused, it will all become muddled up, and the the idea of edifying the saints, it's kind of defeated when they are only just give getting more confused by the different people that have come to give their opinions on the matter. That's why you should know the Bible for yourself. So it doesn't matter what people say, what the pastors are teaching, even as I'm teaching you, you go check your Bible by yourself. As I'm teaching you, this is what God taught me. This is my understanding. But I like to read scripture so that you can also see from the Bible that it is actually there. You can go do the study yourself. Do you understand? Go do the study yourself. If it doesn't resonate with you, hold on, pray through it and come back again. Okay, there are books, there are books that I've read in the past that someone gave to me. In fact, the very first time I read E.W.K.'s book, I was like, what kind of new ideology is this one? What kind of new theology is this? Do you get? But someone advised me, go and pray. And after you finish praying, come back to it again. Don't don't force it, don't argue over it. Just go and pray. And I did that. And when I came back, my eyes opened, my ears were clearer. I understood more because I had grown uh spiritually, I'd grown mature spiritually. So of course I could understand these things more. Sometimes some of you listen to the things I'm teaching on DIY service. Should be like, ah, where did she get this one from? I took it from the Bible. If you don't understand it, pray about it. It will resonate with you if you grow mature. And I hope you understand it in Jesus' name. Amen. Alright, so the second key for you to descend the prophetic word is the character of the prophet. You must descend the character of the prophets. Okay? For you to determine that the prophetic word is consistent with the Bible, the prophet's character must also be taken into what consideration. In Matthew chapter 7, from verse 15 to 20, Jesus teaching, he says, watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. But he says there's a way you can find out. He says, by their fruits you will recognize them. You see, all these uh shenanigans of false prophets that we're seeing on the internet, you can see them. Their fruits are telling you that they are not real. They have all the titles, but at the end of the day, their fruits will tell you that these ones are not of God. They call themselves prophets, but not prophets of the most high God. Even in the Bible times, there were prophets that would, you know, I did I don't understand when people just diss the church, the church of Jesus Christ, you know, completely as a whole. When we do know that even in the Bible, there were false prophets claiming that Yahweh sent them. And God did not send them. And God will oftentimes go through his prophets and say, See, you see these ones, I did not send them, oh, they're not from me. So how much more now? There are people that go into the sea to get powers from marine spirits, and they come back claiming that it's the Holy Spirit. Some of even some of your so-called celebrities, many of them do the same things. Do you understand? And you you all are just you know screaming how wonderful they are and all of that. And they got their powers somewhere else, and then they come and teach you and train you and give you pep talks and give you all these, you know, talks, you know, that you you you think that it's going to help you. You think it's going to help you. Those talks did not help them. Let me tell you the truth. It didn't help them. The hard work that they are teaching you, and perseverance that they're teaching you, it did not help them. They got their powers from the sea, they got their wealth, their notoriety, the fact that everybody, they're having clients from client base from all over, they got it from somewhere. Do you get? So the fruits will tell you. You see, let me tell you, it's not so far-fetched. Just look closely, you will know. You know, just look closely. You just we're always just man looks at uh God looks at the heart, but man looks at the outward. We're always looking at the outward. Oh, they are dressed like this, oh, they have a lot of money. Money speaks, money is so powerful. Once you see human beings, see money, they see the display of money and wealth and affluence. People just believe that that person is correct. That person has to be right. Do you get? And if you see a prophet who does not have money or does not have affluence and all of those things, they're like, Well, maybe the thing is not working. Many times those things that are working is from the sea, or you know, or it's from somewhere else, it's from a blood covenant with some evil spirits. Do you get so? But you can discern these things, you can discern it. Jesus said himself, what will it profit a man if he gains the entire world and he loses his soul? So the most important thing while we check whether somebody is is is a big person in the kingdom of God is not by how much he has. That's what Jesus said it. He said it's not a man's life, does not consist of the abundance of the things that he has. Do you see? That's not the beginning and the end of life. Many people have no character. And I'm talking, I'm talking people, when I say people, I'm talking about everybody. Forget about the titles. They have no personal character, but all they do is to display wealth, and the moment they display wealth, you will hear them, you will listen to them. If so, by their fruits, you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Thistles, likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree will bear bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown in the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Not only will a true prophet bear good fruits, but also his words will bear good fruits in the lives of those who receive them. A man of God that comes and the entire he has 40 minutes or so, maybe 50 minutes to minister, and you don't even hear the scripture. You don't, he doesn't quote one Bible verse. All you're hearing about is stories upon stories of how he did miracles here and did miracles there, and stories, and there is not even a verse of scripture because he does not know how to even exigit scriptures. What is that to him? Do you get? And you say that person is a man of God. Speak, speak, Papa, speak that. You it's your responsibility. Remember what I said? It's your responsibility as the hearer to know beforehand what the Bible says. You need to be able to tell this because at the end of the day, you're not going to go and meet God and tell God that, oh, that prophet, he led me astray. No, you knew it. You wanted to be led astray. I'm telling you, there are women that have been looking for the fruit of the womb and they go to the sea and they give them children. They knew what they were doing. Free moral agency is very powerful. It can lead you straight to hell, hell, and it can still lead you straight to heaven. But it is your decision, and God respects your decision because he knows what your will is made of. So even God does not downplay the will of a human being. So is it us that you want to come and deceive? No, it's you. You you made the decision by yourself. Do you understand? You know how people say, oh no, it was a mistake that they cheated. It was a mistake you cheated. Eight years in the relationship, you know, with another woman that is not your wife, eight years and it was a mistake. Anyways, so what are the fruits that you expected to see in the lives of prophets? You're supposed to see positive spiritual growth in the members, not just that they are just coming for the miracles or coming for the prophetic. You can actually see people, testimonies of people saying, Oh, I became saved. Now I'm I'm closer to God, now I love God more. You know, there should be testimonies like that. Testimony should not just only be about, oh, God healed me or God gave me this, or okay. Testimony should be that the Christ life is growing inside of me. Okay, the Christ life is I'm getting better at the word of God, I'm getting better at praying, okay. I'm getting better at evangelism. Do you know that I led a soul to Christ yesterday? That is the greatest testimony. Okay, so there should be positive spiritual growth, there should be alignment with God's will. You could see the edification, you know, of the body of believers. You can see it personally, you can even see it in the life of the collective and and all of that. Okay, now the there's a second part of this the when we're talking about the character of the prophet. The first one we've said that for you to determine that a prophetic word is consistent with the scripture, you have to check the character of the prophet, right? There's a second part of that, which is that you must test the spirits, you must test the spirit of the prophet. First, you can see his character by his fruits, you can know them. But do you know some people, some narcissists have learned to show you fruits. I know people like that. They show you fruits that the only person that can tell the truth is the woman that they are married to, or the people living in the same house with them. Otherwise, you can never tell. Are you seeing? They have mastered Christian lingo, Christian behavior, they've mastered it. This is who they are. The mask is very tight. So, in that case, what would you do? You have to test the spirits. First John chapter 4, verse 1. It says, Dear friends, do not believe every spirit. Why does the Bible refer to people as spirits? Because we are spirits, okay? We are spirits, we are spirit beings, but we live in a body. So test the spirits, do not believe every spirit, test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world, and so you have to be diligent to test the prophetic message against the truth of God's word, and you have to seek confirmation through prayer. Number three, the final point, is that the confirmation of the Holy Spirit has to be given in your heart. This is a very key point after the previous two points, because the Holy Spirit must confirm true prophecy in your heart. That's why I always say it has to resonate with your spirit. When the words come to you, you must have a witness in your heart. You must have had a witness before. In fact, when I say confirmation, understand this confirmation is not that a prophet a prophet will come and give you a fresh, you know, prophetic word that you never had any inkling about. So you are just so like, wow, no. When we started the episode, last episode, we started by telling you a story of a man who said that when he was little, he a man of God has said when you that he was going to be an international preacher, right? But it never came to pass, and he's in his 50s already. Okay, and it never came to pass. So what was the issue? So, but then he now added something and said that his mother confirmed it that when the man of God said this thing, his mother said yes, that she already knew. So, ideally, this is how I see God behave from my own experience. I have seen that God does not just shock me with prophecy from a man of God or a strange man of God. You have the Spirit of God in you. He tells you something. Whatever it is that somebody else is coming to tell you must be a confirmation. It can't be a fresh word. You must have heard it before. And the Holy Spirit is telling you, I told you before you didn't believe it. Now look, this person is going to repeat the same word to you. That's why I call it a confirmation. It must be a confirmation. It must be something you've heard before. I told you somebody was sitting beside me, and then he began to, he said he saw a picture concerning me. And then he began to share the pre the picture. And I do I've not seen that kind of picture before. I was fascinated by the entire thing. And I took everything in. But then when he mentioned the word that God gave him, that was the confirmation. And I knew already that I was already two years behind schedule concerning that prayer. Do you see? I already knew that wow, God was just reminding me that listen, you've started this work and you left it and you've not finished. You need to go back to it and complete this assignment. Do you see? So it has to be a confirmation. It can't be a fresh word. But you see, Christians will go to a man of God, you know, and they are waiting for a fresh word. How can you be waiting for a fresh word? Do you not have God in you? Are you saying that all this while God has not been speaking? Imagine if you were in living in the house with your parents and you're very close to your parents, right? And then one day you leave the house, you tell your mom bye, and tell your dad bye. You know, you even hug and kiss, all of that, and then you leave the house and you're going to school, and you get to school, and your best friend starts to tell you that your mom says I should tell you that, and you're like, wait, I just left them at home. Why didn't they tell me? Why are they even telling you? I know you're my best friend and you're close to my parents, and you come to the house all the time, but why do they have to tell you to tell me? You're supposed to question you. In fact, you will take offense if you're close to your parents. You come back and be like, Mom, but why did you have to go and tell him to tell me? But you saw me this morning, couldn't you have told me directly? Do you get so that's what I'm trying to tell you that, but then it will make sense in a situation where you left the house, your mom and your dad are in the house, and then you left them, and then your mom says, Don't forget to give Suzanne the maybe her lunch, something like that. Don't forget to give Suzanne her lunch, and then you go on. Then she calls your bestie and says, Please help me remind Peter to give Susan her lunch. So when you come to school, the moment you're in class, and then your bestie tells you, Your mom called. I said, What did she say? He said, She said, I should remind you, oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I should tell Suzanne. Jigget, that is a confirmation. Jigget, that is like, oh yeah, yeah, already, yeah, already. You already know that. But then when you see somebody comes to you and starts to tell you things that happened in your past, and then they don't even give you the future because they cannot have co-perception with God. They did not create you. You need to go and get the picture from God. This is why I'm telling you, jettison all these things. You're only slowing down your own growth by chasing after pastors and preach prophets and all of those things. You're slowing down your growth. Get into the word of God. Listen to DIY Salvation. If you listen to all the episodes of DIY Salvation, you will not miss out on when you read your Bible, it will be clearer to you. I'm telling you, you can understand and know God for yourself. This is God's desire that you should know Him for yourself. He wants you to know Him for yourself. He wants to, he doesn't want you to mix up signals when He's giving you signals anymore. He wants you to be able to know exactly what He's telling you per time. Okay? So when true prophetic words come to you, you must have a weakness in your spirit after you must have determined His consistency with the Bible and the character of the prophet. 1 John chapter 2, verse 27 says, As for you, the anointing you receive from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. Do you see? But as his anointing teaches you about all things, and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit. The anointing you received is not a counterfeit anointing, is the original anointing. If the prophet, even me as I'm speaking to you, I seem to know a lot because God has taught me a lot, right? But the anointing that I have is the same as you have, it's not counterfeit. Your own is not counterfeit from mine, it's same, the same original anointing. Do you understand? And God can teach you. I asked him to teach me specifically these things, right? You can ask him for anything he will show you. He's willing to. He is willing to. Somebody comes and tells you something you don't like, reject it, reject it instead. I say it's a lie. Tell the person it's a lie. So yeah, reject it. Anything that you hear, you hear a word and it's contradicting what the Bible says concerning you, the co perception that you have of God, the pictures that God has shown you concerning your life, or the things you desire in your life, reject it and insist on the pictures that God has shown you. Okay, you can rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit for you to be able to discern the authenticity of prophetic words that come to you. So overall.
