Introducing The New Covenant
SPEAKER_00Hello everyone, so we're talking about the new covenant, and this topic is a subtopic under the inward witness, which we started in the last episode. In our last episode, we said that the voice of the new man is called the inward witness. The voice of the conscience of the new man is the inward witness, and we said that the inward witness, what it does is to bear witness. That's why it's called an inward witness. And we said that the inward witness bears witness of two persons or with two persons, and those persons are number one the word of God, and number two the Holy Spirit. Okay, so now we also said that the reason why it is possible for the inward witness, your inward witness, to actually bear witness with the Lord, with the word of God, and with the Holy Spirit, and have joint testimony and have co-perception with the Spirit of God. This is only possible because of the establishment of the new covenant, because the new covenant took away the sin nature and gave us the Holy Spirit, and because of that, now our spirit man is now equipped with a new co-perception, right? So Jeremiah chapter 31, verse 33 is our anchor scripture for this topic. Jeremiah chapter 31, verse 33 is actually a part of a prophecy given by the prophet Jeremiah to the people of Israel, and that period was quite a disturbing period in their history because at the time the kingdom of Judah was facing the threat of invasion by the Babylonians. And the reason why this was happening to them, you know, maybe it would have looked like maybe their communication with the other country was, you know, had broken down and all of that, but it was because of their disobedience and their idolatry that God allowed Babylon to come and attack Judah. All right. So the northern kingdom of Israel had already fallen to the Assyrians, and then the Southern Kingdom of Judah was now on the brink of a similar fate. And in spite of the impending judgment upon Israel for their sins, Jeremiah now delivers a message of hope and restoration. I like the way God does these things. Like when you're reading through the books of Isaiah or you're reading Jeremiah or reading any of the minor prophets, you see how that God will be talking about a particular situation, you know, something that is happening to them. Maybe the prophet had asked God a question of praying, and then God is answering, and then suddenly, in that answer, he will just give a prophetic word. You know, he will just talk about, you know, it's like anyway, if you're speaking from from eternity, right? You probably just he just sees everything at once. So as he's talking about the king right now that is having issues, he's having issues with he's seeing what is happening 5,000 years to 5,000 years after is even too much. But, anyways, he sees what is happening in the future at the same time. So he just mentioned because he sees that they are all linked together. We may not see the invisible thread, right? Connecting all of these things together, but God sees it all. The reason why we can't see the invisible thread is because, of course, we don't live that long, right? But the judgment upon the land, the next minute he's talking about something that will uplift them. He's talking about it's a is a prophecy about the messiah and so on and so forth, right? So Jeremiah prophesies about a new covenant that God will establish with his people after a period of exile and suffering. In other words, don't worry, you guys. I mean, this has already happened to you. Well, you know, but don't worry, there's going to be a period a new covenant. Now, if you're reading it from our point of view, now you're like, okay, because immediately they came back from exile. That was not even when the messiah, you know, came, it was like years later. So you're like, okay, that's why I told you there's an invisible tread. Right? So Jeremiah starts to tell them this covenant will be different from the old covenant. Remember the old covenant, the ten commandments, which was established on Mount Sinai, and this the people had broken due to their what? Their disobedience. Now, Jeremiah now foretells a time when God will write his law, not on stone tablets, just like the Ten Commandments, but rather on the hearts of his people. Do you understand? It means that henceforth, don't worry, guys. It's so hard for you guys to keep the laws right now. Is it because you're not seeing it? It's on tablets of stone, and they just kept it inside, you know, the Ark of the Covenant in most holy place, and so on and so forth. So you guys cannot um get close to it, right? So, is that the reason why you're breaking it? Don't worry. There'll come a time when I'm going to write my laws upon your heart. Do you understand? I'm going to write my so you're going to internalize the law of God. So this shows that this would be a period of a deeper, more intimate covenant, more intimate relationship between God and His people. There are different kinds of covenants, and all of them are valid, okay? But there are some intimate covenants. If you have a covenant with a contract with a business associate, it's just a contract. You may never visit the person, you may never have met his wife even, you know, and you may never even meet his wife if you guys don't have like maybe parties that you have to attend together and so on and so forth. But you can be in a business with someone or a business contract with someone and never know their personal lives. Do you understand? It's possible. Never have to do anything with them. And if they break it, you take them to court, you know, stone face, the other person's stone faced, they don't care about you guys. It's like it's just about the money, and that's it. That's a different kind of covenant, right? But there are also covenants that are so intimate, like marriage. Because the moment you're done with that covenant, you have to take off your clothes. See each other as you really are, you know, that kind of thing. So, and it's not just about taking off your clothes, even living together daily, like no personal space anymore. That kind of thing. You know, the same room, the same bed, you know, the same bathroom, the same closet space. You understand? So now there's no more personal space. And even I know some people in marriages they'll want to try to, you know, create personal spaces for themselves even more, and all of that. And the other half will just be like, okay, personal space, okay. And then some will not even give you that space. Forget it. Do you get so that is a more intimate covenant, and that's what God is saying. I had a covenant with you before, it was about I wrote them on tablets of stones, you know, and I was expecting you to obey them. You couldn't obey them, and your your conscience within in your heart acted as the prosecutor within. So, what I did was that I showed you the covenant, the the terms of the covenant, which were to be as a schoolmaster for you to be able to know your left from your right and know that this is wrong and this is right, and these are the things you're you meant to you're meant to do to be able to maintain a proper relationship with me. However, that did not work. Why didn't it work? Because of your sin nature. Okay, now this new covenant is going to be more superior. That's what God is saying. It's going to be extremely superior because you will internalize my laws, you know. You know, the the laws of the covenant, what makes our relationship work perfectly. Nobody will need to tell you, you would know them. Okay, so you see God's desire to transform, you know, the heart of and the minds of his people so that they will walk in obedience and they walk in righteousness. Now, the fulfillment of this prophecy is seen, as you already know, in the coming of Jesus Christ, right? And Jesus Christ inaugurated the new covenant through his death, his burial, and his resurrection. Now, through Jesus, the law of God is now written on your in your heart if you are if you have the Holy Spirit, because it is only through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. If you have the Holy Spirit, then the internal transformation enables you to live in obedience to God. That's the reason why, if you give your life to Christ, you must receive the Holy Spirit next. Yes, first after giving your life to Christ, you must be baptized. If you have not yet been baptized in water, you need to go and find where you can do your water baptism. Okay, you must be baptized. Then the third, the second thing you're going to do, is this the third thing? After giving your life to Christ, be baptized. The third thing you're going to do is to make sure you receive the Holy Spirit by the with the evidence of speaking loud in other tongues. If you have not yet received the Holy Spirit, I will pray for you right now. I'll pray in tongues a few minutes, and then you will receive the Holy Spirit, and you will begin to hear words. You would you feel the words trying to roll off your tongue, bubbling inside of you from inside of you. Open your mouth. You have to lent your mouth, okay? And speak. You have to speak. God is not going to use your mouth to speak. You have to speak, okay? And pray in tongues. It's going to sound like the babblings of a child of a baby. It is correct. Remember, joint testimonies are only given by babies. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yes. So God made it this way. That we're all going to be his babies and he's going to be the father. So just take your position already. Do you understand? Take your stance already. So I'm going to pray for you. Father, in the name of Jesus, everyone under the sound of my voice that is desiring the gift of the Holy Ghost, let the Spirit of God come upon you. Let the Holy Ghost come upon you. Let the Holy Spirit come upon you in the mighty name of Jesus. Let the power of the Most High overshadow you. Now in the name of Jesus. Receive the Holy Spirit now. Receive the Holy Spirit now. Wherever you are, receive the Holy Spirit now. Receive the Holy Spirit now. There's a lady you're feeling that warmth inside your tummy. Yes, that's the power of God. That's the power of God. Receive the Holy Spirit right now. Now open your mouth and begin to pray in tongues. Speak in tongues. In the name of Jesus, I break the power of poverty over your life right now. Out in the name of Jesus. Every sickness of disease that you're battling with or struggling with in the name of Jesus, I command you to be healed right now. Be healed right now. From the crown of your head to the soles of your feet, I command you to be whole right now. I decree and declare that your angels are hereby now activated in the mighty name of Jesus. I want you to pray in tongues. Even after this broadcast, keep praying in tongues, keep praying in tongues, keep praying in tongues. The goal is for you to be praying in tongues without seizing. Understand it. I know many times we talk about praying long in tongues, and you know, so people talk about five hours, six hours, and ten hours and twenty four hours and so on and so forth. But let me tell you, the goal is for you to pray without seizing. Okay, so start practicing already. That is spiritual exercise. Glory to God. Now let's get back to the word. So the eternal transformation that the Holy Spirit does in your life will enable you to live in obedience to God and also for you to experience His presence and experience His blessing in your life. This verse in Jeremiah says, But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts and write it in their hearts, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. Hebrews chapter 8 from verse 7 to 9 reiterates this particular scripture. He says, For if the first covenant which was made on Mount Sinai had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. If that covenant was perfect, there was no need for a second. So for finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. So Israel is one no more divided nation. Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their mind. You see, now it's different. Before it says, I'll put my law into in their inward parts. Now it's saying, I will put my law into their minds and write them in their hearts, and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people. Historically, the old covenant was given to the Israelites through Moses, you notice, at Mount Sinai. And these are recorded in the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, all the Torah that Moses wrote. Okay. And the covenant includes the Ten Commandments, but it also includes the Mosaic law that also outlined God's expectations. These covenants were like these laws were not just laws to be obeyed just for pleasing God alone. It actually taught them to be a nation. God was making a nation out of a group of slaves or a family of slaves because they were just one man's family, right? So God was making a nation out of a family of slaves, and his expectations for the people were outlined in that covenant. It and his expectations regarding worship, morality, social justice, you get he made a nation out of them. But Israel, they broke this covenant through mostly idolatry. They came with all manner of gods. They had been at Egypt for so long that they had adopted the ways of the Egyptians. They did not know how to walk with a God that lives and talks and breathes. You know, because when they met him, they said, ah, today we have seen with our own eyes that God is a God that talks. Have you seen that scripture before? You say we have seen with our own eyes that God can talk and he lives. Do you understand? We've seen he talks, he lives. He's a living God, unlike the idols of Egypt and the idols that they kept on, which are demons, anyways, which are demons behind them. When they make all these graving images, they don't know what is behind them. It's God that said this in Abakok. He said, You guys make all these things and you don't even know what is behind them. Dump gods, dump idols, he calls them. Dump idols. You don't know what is behind them. You create something, you you cast gold and silver over it, you know, and make it so beautiful and so nice. And you put it and you bow to it. You don't know what malevolent being has gone to stand behind it and is accepting your worship. See, you don't know what you worship. You think you know, you don't know. But God is someone who shows you his personality, he tells you who he is several times through the scriptures. If you read the whole book of Habakkuk alone and you're just reading, you're just like, Wow, God, is this you? Chicket, he tells you openly, he doesn't hide his himself, he doesn't hide his personality. He tells you, I'm I'm a lover, I like love. Chicket, you break my heart, I'll cry over it, I'll come back to you. I say, let's let's go again. Chicket, that's the reason why he died for you and I. Do you know how many times Israel broke his heart in the old testament? And yet he still he still cry over it. You you you know, be angry. Sometimes you'll stomp off, you know, you'll just be angry and stomp off, just like that. And then later on he'll come back again. You say, Okay, okay, come back to me, just just come back to me. Let's go again. Do you get? And he never gave up on us to the point that he now died for us so that we'll be able to have his own nature. So, of course, this new covenant that God was going to make was meant to address the shortcomings of the old covenant, like I've already said, and it will enable his people to live a more intimate connection or have a more intimate connection with him. Now, let's look at the profound impact of the new covenant. Hebrews chapter 9, verse 14. The new covenant, of course, we know is established through the sacrifice of Jesus, and we have to check the profound impact of this new covenant on the conscience of the believers. That's why we brought this up, right? Hebrews chapter 9, verse 14 says, For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of an hai fire sprinkling the unclean, if it sanctifier to the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God, how much more will he purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? So, this is the point of what I'm trying to make. The new covenant did such a great work. The old covenant could not purge your conscience, no matter how the people try to live, they could not because they are their spirit, they were inherently bad. Okay, they were inherently bad, the heart of man's desperately wicked, inherently bad. Why? Because they were joined with the sin nature. Do you understand? So, but then when God gave them a way out through the sacrifice of blood of bulls and goats and ashes of Haifa, what God was trying to do was trying to kind of like create a temporary solution where they are sin free. Okay, and as long as they are sin free, they were able to have access to the blessings of God and also to have a relationship, a kind of relationship with God, even if it was not so close, but at least something there was something there, you get. So now, Hebrews now tells us that the reason why the old covenant was useless was because it could not touch the spirit, it only touched the flesh, it could only cover the sins of a man from the outward alone, and it could never affect the spirit. So man was inherently bad. The heart of a man, desperately wicked, heart there is the spirit of a man. So he was inherently bad. Even if he tried to do good things, he was already bad. Do you get? But now he says the blood of Christ is much more powerful because what did he do? Through the eternal spirit, he did what he purged your conscience. So the work of Jesus on the cross, the blood of Jesus was so powerful that it touched heaven and earth, the entire universe. The entire universe. And if you've been listening to DIY Salvation, you know what I'm talking about when I say the entire universe. I'm talking about the mirror, the mirror dimension earth and the heaven universe, the original universe. The entire world, the blood of Jesus touched because he purged our conscience from dead works to serve the living God. So unlike the sacrifices of the old covenant, which could only provide external cleansing, the blood of Jesus purged the conscience from dead works. So you are free from the guilt and condemnation of your past sins, your present sins, and your future sins, and you're able to live with God with a clear conscience. Serve God with a clear conscience. That is, for you to have that conscience that is what? Immersed in co-perception with God. So you can see that the blood of Jesus or this new covenant established in the blood of Jesus had it or has a transformative effect on your conscience, on my conscience. It frees us from the burden of sin and it enables us to live in fellowship with the Lord. Let me tell you, when I was a younger believer, I used to feel guilty a lot. And you will tell me what was the sin that I was even committing, Safe. I just was not sure that I was going to heaven. You know, it would just be like all this basic, maybe even in the house, because my parents were, you know, liberal, so I had no reason to really lie about anything. Do you get? I'm I mean, that's like the basic sin that everybody commits now. I had no reason to lie about many things. What else again? It just the basic things, but yet I was I had guilt. I didn't, I was a late bloomer, so I was not falling in love. I didn't fall in love till very late in life. Do you get so what was it exactly that was giving me that guilty conscience? What was it? Just because I didn't know that the blood of Jesus has cleansed me and I didn't know how to appropriate this. Now, I'm a lot older now, okay? And let me tell you, I can't remember the last time that my conscience pricked me, or my conscience, what's that word now? Reproved me, or shouted at me. What was that other word again? Accusing me. How the only times that I've seen myself, another person of me that's Esther, to get I've seen myself, is when Esther, I call her Esther, is when Esther is reminding me to look at a particular picture. Are you seeing? Oftentimes she will tell me, Look at this picture, look at it. You have to focus on this, focus on this now. And usually is Espo is something that she's telling me that this is what the Lord is saying, because I am one with the Lord. Do you get? And God will speak to my inward man. So sometimes, if I'm not hearing, my inward man will tell me straight up. There are times, like you know, that she has told me things like, See, I've been trying to tell you something since two days ago, you have not been listening to me. I'll say, oh, okay, what is that thing? I'm telling you. So I can't remember when my inward man will come and tell me, you are, ow, Satan is already doing that work perfectly. Why would your spirit come and carry that kind of responsibility again? Are you getting so you need to be free from the burden of sin so that you'll be able to you'll be enabled to live in righteousness? Do you understand? If you keep on and keep on, you know, maybe your spirit man is telling you something and you're not doing, and then you you keep on like that, after a while you will have a hardened heart. The word of God is not teaching you again. At that point now, you have opened yourself for invasion by demons, even if the blood of Jesus has already cleansed you. Okay? So I'm saying that to say that if you keep on indulging in activities that you're not supposed to be indulging in, you know, it's not an excuse to say, Oh, my conscience is now clear. And then you keep on doing what you're not supposed to be doing. If you do those things, ask God for forgiveness and receive the way the way I was taught to receive forgiveness. When you ask God for forgiveness, you have to receive the forgiveness. So you say, Father, I ask you to forgive me in Jesus' name. You're doing it by faith. Also receive your now say I receive your forgiveness in Jesus' name. It's like exhaling and inhaling. Okay, so exhale the sins through asking for forgiveness. Inhale the forgiveness of God. Once you have received that forgiveness, it is done. Don't dwell on it again, don't go back to it again. And ask God for his mercy so that you'll be able to live free of that sin. Let me tell you, the way of the believer is to live by faith, the just shall live by faith. That means that while you are busy praying, that God will, you know, that the temptation will not come, the temptation will not come. You are expected as a believer to actually tackle the temptation by faith. If you want to pray, for example, and fast, okay, for example, I'm going to I'm I'm using this from my own personal experience. If I fasted and prayed for some time, and then maybe I have like some maybe three or four weeks that I did not fast and I've just been, you know, normal eating normal food. Although on a normal day, my normal meal is once in a day. Okay, so if I'm having a meal once in a day, you even see it on my body, you know, because somehow I add weight. I don't know how come, even if it's I'm eating once in a day, I don't eat a lot, but still that once in a day goes a long way. So I hardly even eat like maybe have three square meals because I don't even know how people that eat three square meals, how they they live. I can't even understand it at all. Because if I'm eating food and I even start to get full, like I feel it from the spirit man, it's like my spirit man is saying, No, no, no, no, no, no, no, please let's not do this, let's not do this. I'm telling you, because then I will not be able to communicate with the spirit. Do you get so I have to keep myself as light as possible to be able to have the information or even have a relationship with God in the first place, okay? So I have to be as light as possible. But if, for an example, in an entire month I have not fasted, you know, which is very rare though, and I haven't fasted at all, have been just maybe eating and all that. When it's time for me to fast and I want to do three days or I want to do seven day stretch, right? It's hard. I know you know it's hard. You've tried it yourself, right? It's hard. So, do you know how I do it? The moment I start, it's not even reached four hours into prayer, so my stomach will start grumbling. On a normal day, I don't eat in the afternoon like that. Are you seeing like in on a normal day is until the end of day by sunset that I eat on a normal day? Do you understand? But suddenly by 4 p.m. or maybe by 1 p.m. my stomach is grumbling. You know already that that is an abnormality, that it is a distraction. So, what do I do in that situation? I talk to my body, it's by faith. Faith is released through words. Instantly, I say, you know what, buddy, you can fast. And you're going to fast for so and so days. And let me tell you, you are not hungry because there's enough food in your body that can take you for the next seven days, and you don't need to eat, and you'll be fine. So do the right thing and stop grumbling. I'm telling you, this thing works every time. Do you know that on such a day I will stay without eating for the entire day, I will not even feel it. And I will engage in so many activities, I will not even feel it. And the next couple of days, and by the time I get to the third day, I'm already feeling so energized in the spirit. Fourth day, fifth day, ah, I'm already enjoying myself. Do you know? After like seven days to go back to eating regularly is hard. It's hard. Why am I sharing all of these things to you with you? I'm not trying to boast, I'm only telling you, showing you pictures. I like to paint pictures so that you know that these things are attainable and you can do them, and you are expected to do them so that you can grow in your relationship with God, if you can grow in your relationship with yourself, especially with your conscience, if you can hear your conscience clearly and you can follow the voice of your conscience, it's the same thing as following the voice of God. Because your conscience, that's the conscience of the saved man, if your inward man is one with God, you are one spirit with God. Are you understanding? So if you master the voice of your spirit, if you master it, you have mastered the voice of God. Because God is only going to speak to you through the inward parts of your belly. That's how He's going to enlighten the inward parts of your belly, the inward parts of you, that is your spirit man. Your spirit man, this one that is regenerated, if you're born again, unless you're not born again, if you're born again, you speak in tongues, right? Your spirit man is one with God. Your spirit man will only tell you good things if you have a dream and that dream is good, it is from God. If you have a dream and that dream is bad, it is from it is an evil projection. So shut down that evil projection immediately. If you have a dream that you have countless, numerous houses and all of that, it is good. Call them forth. Your spirit man is showing you pictures. Are you getting? If you have dreams that are evil projections from from demonic entities, it cannot come out as good. As long as it's a bad dream. It is not from your spirit man, it is not from God. Shut it down instantly. Say, I cancel it in the name of Jesus. Such evil projection will not take a root in my life in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. See you in the next episode.
