Crime Scenes with Coffee Beans
True Aussie Murders. Caffeinated.
Join your host, Belinda Brady, as she takes a deep dive into some of the most gruesome, brutal, and unbelievable Australian murders over a cup of coffee...or two. Some murders are well known and are etched into Australia’s crime history, others not so much, but each as brutal and real as they come. Coffee not mandatory to listen to this fortnightly true crime podcast, but it certainly helps!

Crime Scenes with Coffee Beans
I've Got the Munchies - David and Catherine Birnie
In October 1986, pretty university student Mary Neilson goes missing without a trace. Then another girl goes missing, and another, and unbeknownst to police, there is a serial killer couple making the rounds in the working class West Australian suburb of Willagee and surrounds, looking for the next pretty girl to satisfy the sadistic couples lust for abduction, rape and murder, with the woman signalling she had found their next victim by uttering the words, "I've got the munchies."
Join Belinda over a coffee or two (or something a whole lot stronger for this episode!) as she dives into one of Australia's worst - if not the worst - serial killer couples, David and Catherine Birnie, and the terror they unleashed on four young women, and the lucky one who got away, over a period of 5 short weeks in 1986.
*** WARNING - This episode discusses abduction, rape and murder of young women. Listener discretion is advised***
